With the continuing cost of living crisis and prices seemingly rising in every area of life, there's no better time to try and make your money go further. One way to do this is by getting cashback on your online purchases.

Quidco, a leading cashback website, makes this process simple and easy, offering money back when you buy from over 5,000 of your favourite retailers. Just purchase through the Quidco website and you’ll get a percentage of the cash you spent delivered back to you to spend as you please.

On average, each Quidco member receives a return of £300 a year and the site guarantees the best cashback offers in the UK. They have two membership options, one is completely free, so if you’re looking to save some money when spending online, they’re hard to beat.

Sound too good to be true? Don’t worry, it’s not, and we’re here to explain why. Our guide to Quidco will outline exactly how the cashback site works, how you can sign up, and highlight some of their best offers. If, after reading our guide, you’re convinced to use Quidco, there’s a bonus offer up for grabs as well.

New members can earn £15 when they spend over £5 at a retailer through the Quidco site. Sign up , buy something online at one of Quidco's partners, and receive £15.

What is Quidco?

How does quidco work, how much does quidco cost to join, how long does it take to get paid, what brands and uk retailers are on offer on quidco, what are the best quidco cashback offers available right now.

quidco shopping

Quidco is a cashback website that gives you back money when you spend online with their partnered brands and retailers. It is one of the UK’s largest Cashback websites, has over 10 million members and is partnered with 5,000+ popular shopping brands.

These shopping partners range from clothing to travel, electronics to beauty and you can even get money back on your gas, electric and insurance. On average, Quidco members receive around £300 a year cashback on their online purchases. Since the Quidco website launched they have paid out over £500 million to members and their list of retailers and brands is continuously growing, so there’s no shortage of places to earn from.

Quidco works by tracking your online purchases and then giving you cashback as a percentage of what you spend with this online retailer. Put simply, if you buy through Quidco, some of the money you spend will be sent back.

It is a straightforward process and Quidco has made the journey to getting your money back as easy as possible. When you open an account with Quidco, you can view all of the brands and retailers they are partnered with. With thousands of retailers and brands available, you’ll likely be able to receive cashback on items you already want to buy.

For example, if you’re looking for a new phone deal, you can see who Quidco are partnered with, including the likes of Vodafone Mobile, Tesco Mobile, O2 Mobile, Three Mobile, etc. You can then view what the rate of cashback is for each.

O2’s deal with Quidco is 3% or up to £100 cashback. So you could earn £3 for every £100 spent on selected deals or get £100 back on other deals from O2. The same goes for other retailers. Currys offers up to 16.5% cashback, Argos up to 6.6% and Manchester Airport up to 20%.

When you click on any of these retailers through Quidco, cookies are placed on your device by Quidco and the retailer. These cookies enable the retailer to identify who to pay, which in turn allows Quidco to provide you with cashback.

Quidco has two membership options, Basic Membership and Premium Membership. When you first sign up to Quidco you will be enrolled on their Premium Membership. This will cost you £1 a month. This pound is only ever taken from the cashback you earn through Quidco.

They will never take money from your debit or credit card to cover this £1, it is only ever taken from cashback. If you take a break from using Quidco, there is no retention fee.

As a premium member you get ad-free access to Quidco, up to 10% top-up on cashback rates, double the difference in cashback guarantee, and up to 20% payout bonuses.

If you would prefer not to have £1 taken each month from your cashback each month you can downgrade to Quidco’s other membership option, Basic Membership. This is completely free and you’ll still get access to cashback from 5000+ retailers. However, you won’t get any of the other benefits that premium members enjoy.

Sign up for Quidco today and receive £15 when you spend your first £5

As soon as Quidco receives funds from the retailer you bought from, they will have the cashback added to your account. Patience is important for this part, as it usually takes between 3-6 months. You can see the average payout time for each brand on the Quidco website .

You can also check the status of your cashback on your member's activity page. If, for some reason, a payout takes longer than expected, Quidco will chase the payment for you so that you are both paid.

When the cashback is paid into your Quidco account, you have a few withdrawal options. You can either withdraw the money straight to your bank via a bank transfer, withdraw it to PayPal, or use the cashback to get an e-gift card.

Each method will typically take 48 hours for the money to land in your account or for you to receive the e-gift card. If you choose to withdraw your earned cashback via e-gift card, you also get a percentage increase on the amount called a payout bonus. If you're a Premium member, the extra percentage will be higher, so you'll receive even more cashback

There are several e-gift cards you can choose from. One of these is Love2Shop, which offers over 50 different digital e-gift card options plus 20 different physical gift cards, which can be spent in over 90 different stores.

A woman looking in a shop

With over 5,000+ brands and retailers you’ll be sure to find a cashback offer on your favourite places to shop. To help you find the best deals the brands and retailers on Quidco’s website are split up into different categories.

There are offers spanning several categories with the most popular being travel, electronics, clothing, department stores, home and DIY, telecoms, insurance, finance, business, banking, gas and electricity, health and beauty and even ethical and sustainable choices.

Included as part of these categories are some of the UK’s most popular retailers such as Amazon, eBay, Argos, Tesco, and Sky. Whether you want a TV, car, new clothes or jewellery, Quidco is sure to have retailers who can help.

And, Quidco also has special cashback offers which they promote throughout the year. At the moment there are special offers on Berghaus, offering up to 5.25% cashback, Currys, offering up to 11.25% cashback, and Google Store, offering up to 3.75%.

Spent over £3k at Marks Electrical using a Quidco link. That was over18 months ago. Despite the cashback a showing in my account, it has never been paid. Very poor ... As per the Quidco reply below, I appreciate their response and have altered my review accordingly ...

Reply from Quidco

Hi thank you for the review I am sorry the transaction was not paid, we are still waiting for the cashback from Marks, as you have waited sometime I have arranged for this to be paid as a gesture of goodwill. Please come back on [email protected] if you need anything else and thank you for your patience

Jury is out

Quidco is good if you know exactly what you want and can go on and just buy it. Issue is if you go on to browse esp for insurance. Browsing and then checking a couple of sites and then buying means that you don’t get Quidco. Seems to be a loophole in getting out of giving you cash back.

Date of experience : 12 September 2024

Hi thank you for the review. When purchasing via comparison sites for insurance, we normally enter our details and then see the results page. From there, we click on one or two of the insurance companies until we find the one we wish to proceed with, and then click to apply. This is absolutely fine. However, if you wish to obtain cashback as well, you need to do this a little differently. You still do the same things until you know who you want to proceed with but you need to clear your cookies before you make a purchase, once you have done this, log back into Quidco, run the quote again and then make the purchase all in one go if you do this you should have no issues with tracking. Hope this helps

Quidco is a fantastic Cashback site

Quidco is a fantastic Cashback site. It’s so easy to buy from my favourite retailers but via the Quidco website. The cashback soon mounts up and it doesn’t cost anything! What’s not to like?

so far, so good Easy to use, quick confirmation of cashback

Better deal than non cashback sites

Usual bi yearly search for broadband between quidco uswitch and go compare and amazed to find 2 year deal with full fibre for £19 month with NO midterm price changes (how I hate the inflation plus 4% every april deals). Not on any other compare site and £54 cashback. No contest

Takes too long to claim

Just started a missing cashback claim and told it’ll take 6 months to process. Surely they can sort this sooner?? Not worth waiting half a year for a few pence!!

Date of experience : 07 September 2024

Hello, Thank you for your Trustpilot review. When purchases do not track on your QUidco account we ask you to raise a missing cashback claim. As the process is manual and we have to reach out to the retailer via their affiliates network, it can take up to six months to get a decision form the retailer. I apologies for the delay but there is no way to expedite this process. if you still want to discuss this further, please email [email protected]. Thank you

Great service following query

Following an issue regarding payment times for cashback, quidco resolved the issue to my satisfaction immediately. Great service!

Date of experience : 13 September 2024

MISLEADING & UNFAIR

I was quite optimistic about this site but it is very misleading snd frustrating to get your cashback. They state an amount , you choose it thinking it’s a good deal then don’t get anything. They then suggest you are doing some mistake , but it’s them that are shifting the goalpost It is really disgusting how they mistreat people and drag you through a pretence of helping you but are only helping themselves. I no longer trust them and would not advise anyone else to, they have no intention of paying . Money supermarket should also be avoided , crooked practices all round. They abuse vulnerable individuals. It’s just not earth it for a poxy 1% pittance

Utter waste of time, not holding their promises

They promise to give me bonuses, gotta struggle with claims eventually(which took FOREVER to clear), then they promise to finally send me a gift card but then they block my account, ask for driver's licence, bank statements, all kind of personal infos and so on. Going back to Topcashback.

Hi thank you for another review, we have advised why we need the information from you in regards to the bank statements etc please reply to that message if you need anything else

Excellent app

I’ve been using Quidco for 7 years now and I’m so happy with the app/website. It has most of the stores I shop at online and the cash-back amounts are very reasonable. Additionally, it offers cash-back for hotels and other websites which I find a great option.

Date of experience : 16 August 2024

Great cashback rates at times, upto 8 months to credit

Some great cashback rates at times - better than the other sites; definitely worth making this one of the go-to sites for cashback. Only problem is that i've found that this site takes the longest to credit - sometimes upto 8 months! Also their 'bonuses'/games casback etc are quite difficult to earn.

Date of experience : 07 March 2024

Thank you for your Trustpilot review. I am glad that you are enjoying Quidco overall. You can check out the estimated payment dates on the retailers Quidco page before you click through to their actual website. I hope you have a lovely upcoming bank holiday weekend. Thank you.

Quidcos offers have made me over £100

I've been with quidco for years now. They might not be a fast turn around but all cashback offers have been paid and some of them also have bonus £10-30 or even more on top of their smaller cash back percentages. I'm over £100 paid in offers as well as my smaller cash backs. I'd definitely recommend looking out for their offers and sometimes it's money you would have spent anyway and you can get a good portion of it back. 5 stars for quidco!

Date of experience : 14 August 2024

It’s a bit hit or miss with Quidco

It’s a bit hit or miss with Quidco in relation to whether or not cashback actually tracks. I’ve used their car insurance comparison feature and mobile phone deal comparison feature before and sometimes cashback tracks, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s also painfully slow and difficult to speak to their customer service department and, if you have the patience to persevere, then you get told cashback can take up to 90 days to track. By the time 90 days has passed you’ve probably forgotten about the claim. I wouldn’t recommend Quidco, it’s a nice idea but they can’t back up what they claim to offer.

Hi I am sorry you have not had a great experience with Quidco, we try to get back to members within 2 working days, you have not left an email address so cannot check any outstanding messages you may have sent, in regards to Compare we have certain timescales it can take items to track in dependant on what is purchased, sim only takes 3 days to track and car insurance can take 120 days, we cannot check on any of these purchases until this timescale has passed so if you do have any pending you can always put a reminder in your phone to contact us after this time. If you do need anything please message [email protected] and remember we need 2 working days on average to reply

Young woman doing online shopping on smartphone

With its average user saving about £300 a year, we explain how Quidco works and how you could also earn cashback on your shopping.

In a world of online shopping, companies are finding creative ways to help you save you money on your spending. It’s an environment where cashback sites have thrived by both driving interest towards new businesses and saving money for customers.

Quidco* is one example.

Acquired by the Moneysupermarket group in 2021, it works with MoneySavingExpert to bring the corporation money through cashback deals. In 2023, this revenue stream stood at a nearly £60 million, which was flat compared to the prior year but more than the £10.6 million earned in the year it was bought.

So, if you’re interested in signing up to use their services we explore:

What is Quidco and how does it work?

Quidco is one of the largest cashback sites in the UK, offering discounts at more than 5,000 retailers. This includes the likes of Amazon, eBay, Booking.com and Domino’s. In addition, you can also get cashback on a range of services, such as car insurance through Aviva.

Crucially, you can use Quidco free of charge. It does offer a premium service, which is explained below , but its fee comes off the cashback you earn each month.

To use the cashback site, you’ll need to sign up to the provider by providing a name and an email address. Then, when you shop online make sure you use their app or website to search for your retailer or products. Once you’ve made your purchase it’ll be tracked on your account and stored as cashback once the purchase has been verified.

You can then withdraw cashback directly or exchange it for a voucher at selected retailers. If you opt for the latter, then you could increase your payout with an added bonus.

With the average user making £300 a year in cashback, Quidco can give your finances a handy boost. It offers cashback off a range of big name brands and stores such as Amazon, eBay, and Argos.

Also, by signing up as a Times Money Mentor reader you can earn an extra £15 in cashback when you spend £5 or more with the provider.

What is Quidco premium and is it worth it?

Quidco packages its services into two tiers: basic or premium. Its basic package is free to use and allows you to earn cashback from all its retailers.

The premium package, meanwhile, offers better cashback rates in return for a £1 fee. This is taken off the money you earn each month, so you’ll never have to use your bank details to pay for the subscription.

You can also downgrade to a basic package at anytime and if you don’t use Quidco throughout the month then it won’t need to pay the monthly fee.

Making this upgrade worthwhile will depend on your purchases made through Quidco. As you can see below, buying £100 worth of eligible items on Amazon each month will make no difference to your cashback.

However, other offers that are exclusively available to premium members can make all the difference. For example, consider making the same £100 spend on garden tools from Argos:

According to Quidco, the average premium member earns 40% more than those on basic subscriptions.

With the premium subscription you’ll need to make this £1 fee back first before a cashback balance is reflected on your account. This means if you use it sporadically then a basic membership could represent better value.

Alongside regular cashback offers, the cashback site also offers limited time deals. These include:

What is the highest cashback guarantee?

quidco uk travel insurance

Since Quidco claims to offer the highest cashback of any of its competitors in the UK, it runs a “highest cashback guarantee”. This is a scheme where if you find another provider offering a better offer it promises to beat its deal. If you’re a premium member, you’ll earn more than a basic subscriber.

So, it’s worth checking TopCashback and other sites before making your purchase.

Quidco is a legitimate business that has been used by more than 10 million people across the UK. Since launching in 2005, these users have earned more than £500 million in cashback.

As mentioned, Quidco is also part of the Moneysupermarket group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. This means as part of the broader group it’ll be vetted regularly to ensure it remains a legitimate entity.

Quidco makes money via something called an “affiliate network”. This isn’t too dissimilar to how the Times Money Mentor makes money, but in essence each time you click through to sites such as eBay via Quidco your journey will be tracked.

Once you complete your purchase, the website, which in this example is eBay, will owe Quidco a commission for your business. It then uses this money to pay your cashback, other expenses, and keeps the rest as profit.

Is cashback guaranteed?

No, as mentioned above, Quidco relies on receiving its commission to fund your cashback. If one of its providers doesn’t pay its commission then you may not receive your cashback.

How long do Quidco payments take?

This depends on where your purchase was made. Some companies take longer than others to process your transaction, which delays their commission payments to Quidco. Typically, it can take between three and six months to receive your cashback.

I realise this is an old post, but in the event that the OP comes back or someone else finds this post and hopes for an answer...

I did lots of searching for travel insurance from the UK, and in the end, I found Moneysupermarket's travel insurance search returned better prices than QuidCo's even after the cashback. Also, I was pleased to find that Moneysupermarket's travel insurance search allowed you to specifically chose 'cruise' as a type of Travel Insurance so that you knew you were covered for a cruise.

Hope that is useful to someone.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. I too found the same in the end.

Thanks for replying....

Quidco Review UK: One of the Top Cashback Sites

Oliver Dale

With all the cashback sites available to you, it is worth taking the time to do some comparison before you start to shop. After all, one site may offer a good deal, but there is always a chance you can find a better one on a different site.

Among the top choices for cashback sites is Quidco . This website offers an enormous range of deals and high user ratings.

So, why is it so popular, and what does it offer that other cashback sites miss out on?

Join Quidco using our link and get a £10 cashback bonus when you make your first purchase

Quidco vs. Topcashback

Table of Contents

There may be some confusion about the difference between Quidco and Topcashback. Although the two are distinct websites and brands and as such will offer different deals, they both operate in a similar way.

TopCashBack Review

Read: Our Complete TopCashback Review

Each site has its pros and cons so we recommend you signup for both as this will give you access to the widest range of deals and retailers.

How Do Cashback Sites Work?

Cashback sites work in a unique way. Rather than logging directly on to the retailer site, users access whatever shopping site they want through the cashback site to access unique deals, rewards, and vouchers in exchange for their patronage.

  • Cashback sites work via affiliate links.
  • These links show the retail sites with which they partner where their customers are coming from and who they are (or at least, their demographics).
  • This helps them significantly with marketing. In return, they pay the cashback sites a fee, which they pass on to the customers.
  • When shoppers use the cashback site rather than going directly to a retailer, their info can be tracked.
  • Meanwhile, they get a portion of the money that the cashback site earns.

The deals and rewards can vary significantly from site to site or even on one particular site on a daily basis. Using a cashback site takes some diligence. Customers can shop and compare deals and rewards to decide which ones they would like to take advantage of. Meanwhile, the cashback sites offer hundreds, if not thousands, of retail partners that are ready to offer significant savings.

How Does Quidco Work?

Quidco offers two separate plans. The basic membership is completely free for users, with no registration or annual fee. Many people find that this plan works best for them since they do not have to hand over any money before they can start finding deals. Other prefer their premium membership, which costs £5 a year.

There are several incentives for getting a premium membership. Premium customers have access to a wider range of deals, higher cash returns, lottery drawings, and promotions that can range up to £50 annually. They can also take advantage of prize drawings every month. These prizes can range up to £250.

For frequent shoppers, the savings can be significant. Quidco estimates that customers who use its services on a regular basis earn an average of £300 per year.

The £5 annual fee, meanwhile, can be removed from your cashback rewards, so you do not have to pay upfront for a membership. You will just have to wait a little longer to start receiving rewards after you begin shopping.

Quidco Account Types

Quidco offers a few ways to accept your cash rewards. The site encourages its members to accept rewards in the form of gift cards to major retailers, including Amazon, Argos, and others.

It offers incentives in the form of higher cash rewards for members who are willing to opt for gift cards instead of direct deposit into their bank account.

These increases can range up to 16 per cent more on average, making it a significant way to earn more rewards.

Quidco also has opportunities for its members to earn cash back in physical retail outlets. It partners with more than 25 retail stores to let members earn cashback rewards in store. Many customers enjoy the chance to earn more money back while shopping in person.

With all these deals and opportunities to save more money, users say they do actually make a significant amount back on their purchases.

Some people use sites like Quidco for regular online purchases that they were planning on making regardless of whether they were using a cashback site. There is no reason to go out of your way to use cashback sites – just use them when you are about to make a purchase online.

Otherwise, you can just check up on any deals for your regular online purchases to see if they qualify for cashback rewards.

Quidco Retailers

How Much Can You Make on Quidco, and How Long Does It Take to Get Your Rewards?

Savings vary widely on Quidco. Remember, the site partners with thousands of retailers, and it depends on each one of them to offer deals as they see fit.

Some purchases may only qualify for 1 per cent cash back, while others may be 10 per cent or more.

The bottom line is, it all depends on the retailer and what it decides to offer.

One other thing that depends largely on the retailer is the pay-out. There is no direct answer to the question of how long it will take to receive your cash rewards. Retailers have varying policies and ways to manage returning cash back to customers, so it may range up to several months before you receive your rewards.

For some people, that is a deal breaker. Others do not find it a serious problem to have to wait so long for a pay-out. Depending on the retailers you patronise, your wait times may not be so long. There is very little way to predict.

Quidco Offers

Other Ways to Save Money with Quidco

One unique aspect of Quidco that you might not see with other cashback sites is the opportunities to earn cashback rewards in person and in store, as well as via a mobile app.

If you give Quidco your bank card information, for example, your purchases will be tracked and your account will be credited with rewards whenever you make a purchase at an affiliated retailer. This means that you can earn cash back without ever even realizing it.

Cashback on Food Shopping

Through Clicksnap, Quidco also offers opportunities to earn cashback rewards on items bought from grocery stores. If the site is offering a deal on a particular item, all you must do is check on the mobile app. From there, it is easy to accept the offer and then provide proof of purchase with a picture of your receipt.

It is a straightforward way to save even more money while doing your regular shopping at your local supermarket.

Quidco Quick Snap

Quidco also offers other point reward systems where virtual “coins” can be redeemed for cash rewards. Some retailers offer coin rewards when you patronize their business. Quidco offers a way to turn into your coins or points and get money for them instead.

The site also offers a cashback reminder tool for your smartphone. This reminder tool will send you a notification when certain deals become available. This ensures that you are up-to-date with deals that are important to you, so you do not forget to take advantage of them.

Quidco Mobile App

On top of this, members can also opt for how they would like to receive their cash rewards, including through direct deposit, PayPal, or gift cards to major retailers, such as Amazon.

What Are Some Disadvantages of Using Quidco?

As mentioned above, getting your cash rewards may take a long time — sometimes months or even longer. For some people, this disadvantage is enough to rule out using the site. However, if you are willing to wait, you can expect your rewards to get to you eventually.

Yet some users say that there is the slight chance that you will not always receive your cashback rewards. On some occasions, if your purchase is not tracked as it should be, you may miss out. However, this does not seem to be a frequent problem with Quidco.

Lastly, it is important to make sure that you are familiar with all the terms of every purchase you make via Quidco. Not doing so could mean that you do not get the deal you expected. But if you read the details of the promotion and the requirements for the member carefully before making your purchase, you can shop without worrying.

Not every cashback site is for everyone. However, if you are interested in making money on purchases you had planned to make already, Quidco is a wonderful way to do so.

It is consistently ranked as one of the top two cashback sites in the UK, offering thousands of daily deals and opportunities to its members. It is also secure and well-vetted, which should provide relief for those concerned about their personal financial information being out on the internet.

If you are interested in earning cashback on purchases, it is worth doing research to see if Quidco is right for you.

There is also nothing stopping you from signing up to multiple cashback sites as one may not have the retailer you need, take a look at Topcashback also as we recommend joining both.

This reminds me slightly of Ebates, though I haven’t used it, so I’m not entirely sure if it’s as user friendly. The long wait is a HUGE turn off for me, though, so if there are other, better options, those are the ones I prefer.
