Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour is finally here.

The 52-date trek kicks off Friday night in Glendale, Ariz., at State Farm Stadium with openers Gayle and Paramore. This marks Swift’s first tour since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018, as her 2020 Lover Fest was canceled before it even began due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, Swift has released three studio albums — “Folklore” and “Evermore” in 2020 and “Midnights” in October 2022 — in addition to re-recording “Fearless” and “Red” (which both came with bonus tracks) in 2021.

This past weekend, more than 190,000 Swifties -- not counting those who didn't have tickets -- flocked to Soldier Field for three unforgettable nights .

"I woke up at seven without any alarm," one fan, Annie, said. "I was like today is the day, I get to go see Taylor today. Jumped out of bed and was ready."

And from a special guest star, to a special message for Pride month, the singer certainly delivered. As Chicago fans head back to work and Swift moves onto another city, here are five moments from the Soldier Field show to relive.

Swift Delivers Pride Message During Chicago Soldier Field Show

As Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" Chicago stop debuted Friday night at Soldier Field, the icon wished fans a happy Pride Month , which kicked off June 1, and celebrated those who are "living authentically and beautifully.

"One of the things that makes me feel so prideful is getting to be with you and watching you, interacting with you, being so loving, so thoughtful and so caring," she said.

Swift also mentioned that "we can't talk about Pride Month without talking about pain."

"... Right now and recently and in the recent years, there have been so many harmful pieces of legislation that have people in the LGBTQ and Queer community at risk," Swift said.

The singer, who has become involved in political activism in the past several years, urged fans to vote in elections, as she has previously, and also encouraged others to stand with the LGBTQ+ community beyond Pride Month.

"...We can support as much as we want during Pride Month, but if we're not doing our research on these elected officials, are they advocates? Are they allies? are they protectors of equality?" she asked.

Ticketless Taylor Swift Fans Hold Their Own Concert Outside Soldier Field

At a park outside Soldier Field hundreds of ticketless fans came together Friday to create their own concert experience, despite the stadium's plea to stay away .

"We tried and tried and tried to get tickets, and earlier this week my husband said, 'you know it's going to be a once in a lifetime atmosphere,'" Kelly Kennedy, 40, said to NBC News. "You can't be inside but maybe you can go sit outside and still be part of the experience."

Countless posts across Chicago Facebook groups echoed that sentiment, with one comparing the experience to Ravinia outdoor music Festival in Highland Park.

"Taylor Swift PSA—if you were one of the unlucky ones who didn’t get tickets, there is still hope!!!," one post in a suburban Chicago Facebook group reads. "We went last night without tickets after legit doing all the things for days...But…You can listen outside the field and can hear the songs so well!"

"We were strategic with our placement and it was honestly like Ravinia— beyond exceeded my expectations," the post continues. "You can also get merchandise outside…the XS sweatshirts are huge btw. Just thought I’d mention it in case anyone else is in same boat. I am beyond happy we went..even without tickets! Good luck!!

Special Guest Appearance From Country Star Maren Morris

Country star Maren Morris took the stage in a surprise appearance Saturday leading Morris and Swift to perform their "You All Over Me" collaboration from Fearless (Taylor's Version) for the first time ever live.

Fearless, originally released in 2008 when Swift was known as a country star, was re-recorded and re-released in 2021 with several new songs, including her collaboration with Morris.

Swift mentioned that "You All Over Me" was a song "from the vault" in 2008 and had yet to be released by her. She told the crowd that re-recording meant she was given the opportunity to have "one of her favorite artists" sing on one of the tracks, before letting the crowd in on the surprise.

“And we are so lucky Chicago, so incredibly lucky, because not only did that artist say yes, Maren Morris is actually here!” 

Taylor Swift Swallows a Bug

Stars are just like us, even Taylor Swift.

During Swift's third and final Chicago performance at Soldier Field Sunday night, the singer revealed a bug flew into her mouth while she was singing -- and that she had no choice but to swallow it.

Taylor Swift's Mic Problems

Also on Sunday night, Swift found herself screaming into her "lover mic" only to find that it wasn't delivering any sound.

Vargas received the surprise of her life when she attended Night 1 of the "Eras Tour" in Paris.

NBC 7's Brooke Martell, a Swiftie herself, asked Vargas what it was like being hugged by Taylor Swift. Because, yes, that happened.

"I don’t know. It was awesome," The 9-year-old said. "It was, I don’t know, it was one of the best moments of my life. And she gave me a high-five with her two hands.”

But a hug from the world-famous pop icon was not on the original itinerary. The original plan: a trip to Paris with her parents and a chance to see the singer. It's already something so many people, let alone a 9-year-old girl, could never imagine in their wildest dreams.

"I’ve always wanted to be in Paris,” Vargas said. "That’s my favorite!"

So, last week, after a long flight and a night of sleep, it was already time to get ready to see Swift. Wearing a black beaded dress, the Californian native couldn't wait.

"I was dressed Reputation-theme because that’s my favorite album — all of it," Vargas said.

As the mother and daughter made their way through the crowds of Swifties, they found their spots on the floor of the arena, waiting in anticipation for the night to begin.

"Everyone was there to dance, and the worst part: It was the tallest people," Vargas said.

They didn't have the best view, but that didn't matter.

"I was fine with it," she said. "I honestly just wanted to hear the music coming from her mouth, like hearing actual words in the actual moment."

Someone had their eye on Vargas though, which meant her experience was about to become unforgettable.

”I thought she was leading me to the exit until she stopped in front of the stage, and the guy asked, 'Can I pick you up? and I was like, 'Yeah!' " Vargas said. "And then I finally realized what was happening.”

It's a moment all Swifties dream of but only one gets to experience per night, as Swift performs her song "22."

For those who've attended the show or seen the concert clips online, this is a point in the show from the "Red" era. The singer skips down the runway of the stage, and there's always someone at the end of it waiting for her. This time, it was Julissa Vargas.

”I could only hear the part where she says, 'Can I give you a hug?' and she also said, 'Thank you for coming,' " Vargas said.

A hug and she received something to keep: the coveted "22" hat.

"This is the hat she gave me, and it’s signed inside," Vargas said, gesturing.

It's a night the 9-year-old will never forget.

"I still can't believe it actually happened to me," Vargas said. "I see the YouTube Shorts and I'm still like, 'Me?' "

She said she'll never forget that moment and sees herself as a lifelong fan of Taylor Swift.

”I’m the luckiest girl in the world," Vargas said.

Don't worry: After Vargas met Swift, she was taken to the VIP section where she and her mother had the best view to watch the rest of the show.

Taylor Swifts erster Auftritt in Gelsenkirchen fand mit ihrem (euphorischen) Freund Travis Kelce statt.

Taylor Swift eröffnete am Mittwoch (17. Juli) ihre „The Eras Tour “ in Deutschland – und zwar in Gelsenkirchen , alias Swiftkrichen . Ein großes Highlight für viele Fans war nicht nur Swifts Auftritt, sondern auch die Anwesenheit ihres Freundes, des NFL-Stars Travis Kelce.

Der 34-Jährige jubelte seiner Freundin von der VIP-Loge aus zu, während sie dreieinhalb Stunden lang ihre größten Hits performte. Die Sängerin begeisterte ihre 60.000 Swifties in der Veltins-Arena nicht nur mit ihrer Musik, sondern auch mit ihrer beeindruckenden Sprachkenntnis. „Guten Abend“, rief sie ihren Fans auf Deutsch zu und fügte hinzu: „Schön, euch zu sehen.“

„Kannste knicken“

„Das ist meine erste Show in Deutschland und der wundervollste Start“, schwärmte Swift. Sie zeigte sich sichtlich gerührt und begeistert von der Energie ihrer Fans. Besonders rührend war der Moment, als sie traditionell während des Liedes „22“ einem kleinen Fan ihren Hut aufsetzte und die Show stoppte, um einen durstigen Konzertbesucher mit Wasser zu versorgen. „Ich habe Songs von ‚Red‘ noch nie in Gelsenkirchen gesungen. Es ist so toll, das heute zu tun“, sagte sie. Ihre letzte Tournee in Deutschland liegt ganze neun Jahre zurück. Zuletzt besuchte Swift das Land im Rahmen ihrer „1989 World Tour“ im Jahr 2015.

Auch der Moment während ihres Liedes „We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together“, bei dem im Original an einer Stelle „Like ever“ gerufen wird, wurde von ihrem Tänzer K ameron Saunders für die deutschen Fans übersetzt. Die Sängerin hielt ihm das Mikro im passenden Moment hin und anstatt „Like ever“ überraschte er die Fans und sang „Kannste knicken“ . Überraschungssong des Abends, abseits der fest bestehenden Setlist, waren „Superstar“ und „Invisible String“ im Gitarren-Akoustik-Set . Im Rahmen des Piano-Akoustik-Set spielte sie „Slut“ sowie „False God“ .

Travis Kelce als Überraschungsgast des Abends

Nicht nur Taylor Swift, sondern auch Travis Kelce zog die Aufmerksamkeit der Fans auf sich. Der Footballstar nutzte die Zeit vor dem Trainingslager der Kansas City Chiefs, um seine Freundin nach Deutschland zu begleiten. In Shorts, grün-schwarz kariertem Shirt und mit Kappe auf dem Kopf verfolgte er das Konzert und genoss die Show sichtlich.

Die Fans hofften auf einen besonderen Moment, in dem Kelce auf die Bühne kommen würde – ähnlich wie bei einem London-Konzert, als er überraschend an Swifts Seite auftrat . In voller Kostüm-Montur und mit einem breiten Lächeln gesellte sich der NFL-Star zu Swift und ihren Tänzern und sorgte für begeisterte Jubelstürme im Wembley-Stadion.

Der Auftritt von Kelce fand während des Intros von „I Can Do It With A Broken Heart“ statt, einem Song aus der neu hinzugefügten „Tortured Poets“-Ära der Show. In einem aufwändigen Sketch trug er seine Freundin zu einer herzförmigen Couch, während zwei Tänzer sie scheinbar wieder zum Leben erweckten, indem sie ihr Kostüm von einem weißen Kleid in ein glitzerndes Pailletten-Set verwandelten.

Seit Beginn der Beziehung unterstützt sich das Paar gegenseitig in ihren erfolgreichen Karrieren. Kelce, der während der NFL-Saison von Swift Fan-Support bekam, erklärte in einem Interview: „Wir sind beide auf unsere Karrieren fokussiert und lieben, was wir tun. Auch außerhalb der „Eras Tour“- Shows genießen die 34-Jährige und ihr Freund ihre Zeit in Deutschland offenbar sehr. Das Paar residiert der „Bild“ zufolge im luxuriösen Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf . Am Mittwochnachmittag landete Taylor mit ihrem Privatjet in Düsseldorf, bevor sie sich in die Tiefgarage des Hotels chauffieren ließ.

Nach der Eröffnungsshow wird Swift noch zwei Konzerte in der Schalke-Arena spielen – am Donnerstag, 18. Juli, und Freitag, 19. Juli . Danach geht es weiter nach Hamburg für Auftritte am 23. und 24. Juli und nach München für Shows am 27. und 28. Juli.

Red is a color full of symbolism in culture at large, but also in Swift’s music. Swift’s Most Iconic Red Outfits

Taylor Swift has worn a variety of red dresses and even released an album entitled Red , released in 2012. It’s clearly an important color she’s used many times over the years. Red is also a great color to wear for formal events.

“I Bet You Think About Me” Music Video

In 2021 Swift released a new music video for her vault track, “I Bet You Think About Me” with Chris Stapleton. The video took place at a wedding where all of the guests are in white, but Swift appears like a specter in red, haunting the groom.

She changes outfits a few times throughout the video, representing different people at the wedding, from a staff uniform to a flower girl’s dress, to a huge blood-red bridal gown, with a few others in between.

Recreate the Look

There is a lot of inspiration you can mine in this music video. You could do a bold monochrome look in a red suit and red shirt, as Swift wears in one scene where she fills the role of a groomsman.

Her wedding guest outfit is also a long, sleek red gown with huge flower details on the shoulders. Choose a dress with a similar silhouette, and you could potentially add a jacket or DIY flowered shoulders if you can’t find an exact match.

For the wedding dress look, however, you’ll want a ball gown with layers of tulle. While red wedding dresses may still be hard to find in parts of America, a floor-length red formal gown with the same vibes can get you pretty close. A sleeveless gown with some corsetted support will help hold up the weight of the skirt without adding straps.

The Red Tour

When touring her album Red , it should be no surprise that the color made an appearance several times in her costumes. During the Red tour, she performed some classic favorites from earlier albums, such as “You Belong With Me.”

In concert, she spiced up the song with a jazzy retro vibe, reminiscent of a World War 2 USO show. Her short and sparkling red dress adds to the vintage vibe with a sweetheart neckline, flouncy skirt, and matching red elbow-length gloves.

During the same tour, she sported another vintage-inspired red dress for her performance of “Lucky Ones.” The bodice of her dress has a plunging v-neck, with an attached full-length swishy skirt, a la Marilyn Monroe, but with a twist. The front part of the skirt is left open, revealing shimmering red tap pants. The look is paired with red gloves again and heeled red booties.

For the performance of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and some of the promotional photos for the tour, Swift wore a circus ringleader costume with a sparking crimson jacket and heeled boots with red details.

Out of all the looks from the Red tour, most people are looking to recreate her “You Belong With Me” or “Lucky Ones” outfits. However, we won’t judge if you want to have a Swift-inspired circus look for a night out.

For her retro look from “You Belong With Me,” a red mini dress with sequins and glitter will capture that sweet vintage style, particularly if the dress has an A-line shape and a sweetheart neckline.

The “Lucky Ones dress brings a very elegant and classic formalwear look. A sleeveless dress with a plunging neckline is daring, but the floor-length, full skirt makes it a more mature style. If you want to recreate the look exactly, you may need to partner with a seamstress or tailor to open up the front of the dress to reveal red shorts. Or you could simply leave it as-is, just a nod to the look, rather than an exact replica.

The most iconic element is definitely adding some red satin elbow-length gloves. For both outfits, it ties the looks together. For the “You Belong With Me” look, it adds an element of retro costuming that makes it look more like something a singer in the 1940s would wear. For “Lucky Ones,” it pulls together an elegant and dramatic style.

At Award Shows

Swift makes frequent appearances at award shows and has memorably won a few as well. Sometimes she brings out a red look for those nights.

During her Red era, she wore a red gown to the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The dress was an edgier, sexier style, though it didn’t show a ton of skin. Made of layers of light, sheer material, the gathered skirt hung to the ground. The top portion of the dress was made from panels of sheer lace intersected with solid straps. The style felt like a piece of lingerie with its contrasting panels and the light sheer skirt.

2009 is probably the most well-known appearance Swift made at an award show. In 2009 Swift was transitioning from her early days as a country artist to being a mainstream pop singer. She won Best Video by a Female Artist at the MTV Music Awards and was famously interrupted by Kanye during her acceptance speech. At the time, she was wearing a silver one-shoulder gown covered in sequins.

However, after that infamous event, Swift performed at the show, wearing a strapless vintage red dress. With a full skirt and a ruched bodice, complete with a sweetheart neckline, that dress got its time to shine during her performance, and when Beyonce graciously invited her back onstage to finish her speech later.

To channel the understated sexiness of Swift’s lingerie dress, look for a dress that has similar sheer paneling. A dress that is lined with flesh-tone fabric will hint at sheerness without actually being sheer, keeping any undergarments a secret.

Lightweight, floaty, gauzy fabric and lace details are also commonly seen on lingerie and hint at feminine sexiness.

A classic early Swift look, the  MTV Music Awards dress featured spaghetti straps, but it would work just as well strapless. Choose something with a fit and flair shape, and look for a dress that has a few layers of fabric. The dress she wore was simple, but the ruched gauzed fabric across the bodice gave it more visual detail and the skirt also featured a layer of sheer gauze.

Red Era Inspiration

Of course, if you’re trying to put together an iconic look from the Red era for your Eras tour party, you don’t have to literally wear a red dress. There are other fun looks you can play with as inspiration.

Short Shorts

Swift perfectly encapsulated the early 2010s mania for quirky fashion. Her penchant for short shorts reflected the styles of the time, and she even opened her Red tour in a pair of black pleather shorts and a white blouse. This mix of tiny pleather shorts and a more professional-looking blouse (not to mention a fedora) just screams 2012.

She brings back a shorts look later in the concert, but red and sparkling. First, under her “Lucky Ones” gown, and then later with a tee shirt and red sneakers. This is an easy look to recreate. Choose a pair of shorts with a high waist to really capture that vintage-inspired silhouette that defined this era of fashion for Swift.

“I Knew You Were Trouble”

During performances of “I Knew You Were Trouble” on the Red tour, Swift starts in a puffy white wedding dress, but mid-way through the song, she is stripped of it, revealing a black bodysuit. This also pairs with a transition into a dubstep arrangement of the tune.

The body suit has gold embroidery up the legs, lace sleeves, and lace cut-outs on the abdomen. You could find a black sleeveless romper or a sleeveless black dress and add a lace shirt underneath to give a similar effect. Depending on your DIY skills, you could even add the gold embroidery and cut-outs if you have trouble finding an option that has those features.

Skinny Jeans and Stripes

If you aren’t looking to recreate a particular outfit, but would rather just capture Taylor Swift’s general fashion vibe from this era, you can’t go wrong with skinny jeans, a striped blouse, and Oxford flats.

Taylor Swift Wears Short Shorts, We're All Jealous

Last night, Taylor Swift performed another one of her sold-out, record-breaking shows from her Red tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with special guests Tegan and Sara. And while it's awesome she gave that duo some serious love, we're seriously digging her high-waisted shorts obsession.

Sure, it helps to be a million feet tall -- and 23 years old -- but we also think that Hollywood's resident "every girl" probably does a few bum-tightening and thigh-thinning tricks backstage. (See our own below.) Because, let's be honest, it takes a slammin' bod to look non-granny-like in high-waisted shorts. But to also go metallic? That's some brave stuff right there.

Rather than several individual posts, TSS will exclusively compile the rest of the remaining (and much anticipated) information on Taylor’s tour wardrobe! This will include her  custom footwear , her sparkly tights — and that sought-after fedora !

THE FOOTWEAR: Custom LaDuca boots  

When Taylor isn’t wearing oxfords — her wardrobe features a customized pair by Lanvin and a jeweled pair by Miu Miu  — or is barefoot (during “Treacherous” and “Love Story”) every night, Taylor rocks out her two and a half hour setlist in customized LaDuca boots.

Taylor wears a red ankle pair for “The Lucky One” and “Stay Stay Stay/Ho Hey”, a knee-high gold embellished black pair for “I Knew You Were Trouble.” and “All Too Well” before finishing off her show in a bi-coloured black ankle pair with (but of course) a red heel during “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." 

In the past, LaDuca has provided custom footwear for other concert tours like Beyoncé’s I Am … tour as well as both Katy Perry’s Hello Katy! and California Dreams tours. 

THE TIGHTS: Custom Kate Spade tights

The one constant in Taylor’s massive tour wardrobe, whether she’s jumping out of shorts and into red cropped pants or doing an on-stage costume change is these sparkly tights that were customized just for her. 

Like many other items on Tay’s tour, including the previously mentioned Lanvin oxfords, her microphones or even the stool she sits on during her acoustic set, this simple pair of nude tights was customized by hand-gluing on Swarovski crystals to add a light-catching enhancement.

You can make your own by picking up any sheer, nude pair of tights and hot glue gunning on costume crystals from a dollar store. 

THE HAT: Custom Marina Toybina hat

It shouldn’t surprise you TSS-ers (though it will likely make you sad you can’t get your hands on an exact) that the official RED Tour costume designer Marina Toybina — who designed all of Taylor’s backup dancers outfits as well as many of Taylor’s — also makes this cool fedora Taylor wears during the opening number for the tour "State of Grace." 

For those Swifties attending Taylor’s shows and are lucky enough to grab a seat at the end of the stage, Taylor has a tendency to give a fan her hat after finishing the opening song!

Fun fact: Taylor also wears this fedora by Marina in her music video for "22."

On March 18, 2023, I buzzed with excitement in a crowd of nearly 70,000 fans eagerly counting down the seconds (literally — a giant clock ticked on screen) until Taylor Swift walked onstage for her second show of the wildly-anticipated Eras Tour . Three hours and 13 minutes later, I was basking in the blissful aftermath of an epic 44-song setlist from the music icon.

But before that, I thought long and hard about what to wear to a Taylor Swift concert I'd been daydreaming about for years. With 11 albums and four re-recordings in her discography, the options were endless. Should I dress for the glimmering, moody Midnights , wander back into the whimsical woods in honor of Folklore and Evermore , embrace the bubblegum pink wonderland of Lover , or pay tribute to Red (Taylor's Version) in loafers and, well, red?

The countless Taylor Swift concert outfit ideas might seem overwhelming, but after attending the first stop on the Eras Tour, I can tell you this: You'll see a little bit of everything (and a lot of sparkles.) Some Swifties threw it back to Fearless in cowboy boots , others wore heart-covered tulle dresses, and one dedicated fan even covered herself head-to-toe in ivy in honor of the Evermore track.

When Swift first announced the impending release of her eleventh studio album,  The Tortured Poets Department  during the 2024 Grammy Awards, fans weren’t sure what to expect. But in true Swiftie fashion, it didn’t take long for the masses to become well acquainted with the album’s sultry black-and-white aesthetic, numerous Easter eggs, and  chart-topping 31-song tracklist  in the weeks following its April 19 release.

And on her first tour stop following the drop, Swift did indeed  add an entirely new section for her  TTPD  era , including songs “So High School,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” To dress like a devoted member of the department, sport a romantic white blouse, silky black opera gloves, or ruffled gown courtesy of the “Fortnight” music video.

Swift's second-latest album, Midnights, evokes a '70s haze, if you will, with purple eyeshadow, tousled hair, and shag coats. For the final portion of her Eras Tour setlist, the "Anti-Hero" singer wore two outfits: a sparkly T-shirt dress topped with a lavender fur jacket that was dripping in crystals and a bejeweled dark purple fringe leotard, both worn with knee-high Christian Louboutin rhinestone boots.

While you might not go that extra (or designer), the color palette is an easy place to start. I opted for these lavender metallic wide-leg trousers and this sparkly ruched cowl neck tank top , both under $25 at Cider. Before there was the starry-eyed Taylor seeing life through rose-colored glasses, we had the all-black-clad, hooded, narrow-eyed snake, aka Reputation -era Taylor . The Eras Tour – Outfits!

As you all know, I went to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour and it was AMAZING! Hands down the best concert I’ve ever been to and I was not expecting that, honestly. I have always loved Taylor and her music so I knew it would be a great experience but it was a GREAT show, the three hours flew by way too fast! I really love the Reputation album, at first I hated it lol but now it’s one of my favorites, so that is the album I dressed as for the concert. I wanted to find some cute Taylor inspired outfits from each era for those of you that will be going to her concerts in the next few months, there is also some great merch below for those who just need cute gift ideas! Each of these graphics include some cute and casual options for those of you that want more comfort, and also some fun over the top options for those of you who want to go ALL OUT! I will say, there wasn’t a single person that I saw at that concert that wasn’t a certain Era. I was very glad that I dressed up! It made for some cute pictures but also made the experience just that much more fun! Hope you find something you love!

Get the Secrets Behind Taylor Swift’s Red Tour Outfits

Taylor Swift boasts a bunch of costume changes in her Red tour, and they weren't easy to come up with or make! Her tour stylist is speaking out on the hard work that went into creating Swift's fairy tale, retro, dramatic stage garb.

The Hollywood Reporter talked to Marina Toybina, who created Swift's combination of ethereal, fresh and fierce looks for her massive summer tour.

Toybina explained that she got inspiration for her designs from Swift's music. "Taylor's songs, as well as our passion, art and individuality," Toybina gushed. "It is the fire inside all of us that keeps the mind believing and the heart beating. My goal was to make sure each design told its own story and could serve as a visually, beautiful extension to Taylor's stage presence."

If fashion design doesn't work out for Toybina, maybe she can write Hallmark cards!

Toybina also revealed that Swift was crucial in the entire creative process. "Like any design project, you have certain stages of artistry that must be obtained in order to accomplish the unexpected. For me, production details, choreography, conceptual staging and of course, Taylor's vision was key," Toybina said.

Each outfit was specifically tailored (or Taylored) to Swift's songs. "Once Taylor created her set list for the tour and the choreography was discussed, the design process was in full effect to incorporate Taylor's ideas," Toybina continued. "After my designs were approved, sketches locked in and fabrics chosen, Taylor's feedback was integrated with details tweaked. Draping, sewing, creating and handcrafting became beyond a full time job. It took my team and me a little over three weeks to put the entire tour together -- difficult, but not impossible. The fittings went successfully, dress runs were exciting and then, it was showtime!"

Taylor Swift Kicks Off Red Tour in Omaha [Photos, Video]

Taylor Swift kicked off her much-anticipated Red Tour last night (March 13) in Omaha, Neb. and she did so in red, black and white.

The '22' singer, who has been knocking 'em dead on red carpets in a stunning array of gowns by Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan in the past few months, needed to be more utilitarian in her approach to her stage costumes. After all, she has to run around for approximately two hours and sing, dance, knuckle down on her guitar and interact with her adoring fans. That's some intense exercise and she works up a sweat (especially during a 'Stomp' like drum break on 'Holy Ground,' video below) but she never -- like, ever -- sacrifices her style.

She looked cute and sexy in her white lace top and shiny, high-waisted, black boy shorts, as these photos and videos certainly attest to.

If there is one thing Swift has, besides brains, beauty, talent and songwriting ability, it's a set of stems. Her long legs are one of her best features, and she showed 'em off in those shorts. Those things go on for miles! They seemed to stretch to the floor when she was lifted off the ground during aerial maneuvers while playing 'Sparks Fly.'

She didn't abandon the red theme, though, as her lips were painted her signature shade of scarlet, and her boyish Oxford shoes and her guitar were the same hue. Fans got plenty of 'Red' during the lengthy set.

The Red Tour continues tonight (March 14), with a second show in Omaha.
