The first-degree cycle in International Tourism and Leisure Industries (ITaLI) is the English-taught curriculum of the programme in Economics of Tourism, of the School of Economics and Management - Rimini Campus.

Tourism is a highly changeable and creative industry, which requires the continuous development of new products and markets. Business culture, sustainability, creativity and technological innovation are now the keywords to create new businesses and conquer an ever-changing and highly competitive tourism market. The tourism sector includes small, medium and large private enterprises, as well as public private partnerships and public agency, all operating with an international perspective.

International Tourism and Leisure Industries is a three-year degree programme , with quality assurance certificate by the UNTWO TedQual , whose main objective is to improve the quality of tourism education, training and research programmes. The programme provides students the cultural and technical profile required to join, as a manager or professional, private and public enterprises in the tourism industry .

To this aim, ITALI offers excellent preparation in tourism planning and management, and develops professional profiles which have a deep knowledge of the complex interactions and interdependencies between creative and leisure industries, business strategies, governmental policies and tourism . Finally, this programme prepares students for master-level programs in economics and management.

Curriculum international tourism and leisure industries: for students enrolled in the a.y. 2023/2024, curriculum international tourism and leisure industries: for students enrolled in the a.y. 2022/2023, curriculum economia del turismo: for students enrolled in the a.y. 2023/2024, curriculum economia del turismo: for students enrolled in the a.y. 2022/2023, admission requirements.

Admission to the Degree Programme in Economics of Tourism is subject to the possession of either a five-year high school degree or other suitable qualification obtained abroad. Additionally, knowledge and competence in the following areas are required: - logic and reasoning skills and knowledge of the main elementary mathematics and the ability to use them. The methods for verifying the knowledge required for admission are defined in the degree programme teaching regulations. If the assessment is not positive, additional learning requirements will be specified. Completion of the learning requirements is the subject to a separate test. The relevant testing method is also set out in the degree programme teaching regulations. Students who do not complete the additional learning requirements by the date established by the competent bodies and, in any case, by the end of the first year of the degree programme, will be unable to sit exams in the following years. Admission to the Italian curriculum of the programme is subject to level A2 (CFER) knowledge of the English language. The minimum level required for the international curriculum is B1. The methods of English language testing shall be published annually in the call and may indicate a level higher than the minimum required.
