This Friday, March 29, Sum 41 will release their final double album, Heaven :x: Hell, via Rise Records. The most ambitious album from Sum 41 yet – Heaven is 10 tracks of snarling high energy pop punk, while Hell consists of ten heavy metal anthems spiked with fret-burning solos, thrashing riffs, and fist-pumping hooks. The band has been straddling the line of pop-punk and metal for their entire career, and Heaven :x: Hell is a testament to their innovative sound and unmatched skill, solidifying them as pioneers 27 years after their inception.

Heaven :x: Hell is available to pre-save and pre-order now at https://sum41.lnk.to/HeavenHell .

On February 22, Sum 41 shared their newest single “Waiting On A Twist Of Fate”, out now. The second single from the double album’s pop-punk Heaven side, “Waiting On A Twist Of Fate” harkens back to the earliest days of the band’s pop punk roots. The track opens the album the only way long-time fans would expect Sum 41 to open an album – a flurry of guitar riffs, drum fills, and vocals powerful enough to raise the dead.

“Waiting On A Twist Of Fate” is available to stream now at HERE .

Sum 41 previously shared “ Rise Up ” and the No. 1 single “ Landmines ”, from Heaven :x: Hell’s metal Hell side and pop-punk Heaven portion, respectively. The tracks have gained the attention of notable outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, Revolver, Consequence, NME, Exclaim!, BrooklynVegan, Alternative Press, KNOTFEST, and countless others.

Earlier this year, Sum 41 announced their breakup after 27 years of making music together – the news was reported on by The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, CNN, Bloomberg, Pitchfork, TODAY, CBS, Billboard, and countless other major news outlets globally. Heaven :x: Hell aims for nothing short of greatness, a perfect parting gift from the band to the fans that have supported them endlessly.

Looking back at the band’s storied 27-year career, Sum 41 has firmly cemented their place in rock history with over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple Billboard Charting releases, a Grammy Award nomination, 2 JUNO Awards (7 nominations), a Kerrang! Award in 2002, multiple Alternative Press Music Awards, and countless other accolades.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.Ticketmaster.ca or www.canadiantirecentre.com .

Sum 41 is an awesome band. Had the chance to see them live on a whim when a friend called me up several years ago and just so happened to have a spare ticket. At the time I'd heard several of their songs, but I was by no means a huge fan. Going to the show, the seats were close. I was surprised my friend declined my offer to pay for my half.

These dudes come across as super hyped, but that's the largest reason why I enjoyed this concert so much. You couldn't help but to feel the undiluted energy. It just radiated from the band and transferred over to the audience. Mosh pits galore ensued and I had two beers doused onto me. It was all good though. I laughed it off and just went ahead to embrace it, I jumped right into the center of the bigger one I spotted, as did my friend.

"Fat Lip" is a fave as it is with most fans, I believe. Live, the sound just pierces your soul and you can't help but sing along at the top of your lungs (even if you're totally sober). Made me feel like a teenager again. Really good times.

This band is in my top ten. I'd definitely go and see them again if given the chance. I also adore "Underclass Hero" and "Walking Disaster". While the vocals aren't super strong, their heart and passion definitely makes up for it. Love it.

Hi. I'm sure I would've loved seeing Sum 41 but actually Songkick when I went to buy my tickets of Alt-Tickets, I was given tickets to see With Confidence instead who were playing the same night and at same venue - Rock City, Nottingham. Honestly me and my friend were devastated to not see Sum 41, we were so excited and it was my friend's first concert, but With Confidence, Milestones, Broadside and Safe To Say were all very good so in the end it made up for it. But Songkick, why say you have tickets for Sum 41 then give me a link to With Confidence tickets? I was, and still am so confused by this. Anyways, I'm sure Sum 41 and Hollerado were great, but I don't know, I didn't see.

My favorite band of all time! The first time I got to see them was at a Chicago music festival and I got to meet them and it was a highlight of my life. They were so nice and hilarious. Then I got to meet them again at a tiny show in Dallas at the house of blues and they told stories from the road. Such down to earth guys. I got to be front row for that show and they just thrived in that small room it was such a special experience. They just never disappoint. Their old stuff is what we love and grew up on but their new stuff is just as good. Will always be their #1 fan. Hope to see them as many times as possible.

This was my third time seeing Sum 41 and they were absolutely fantastic! They never disappoint! The only thing I will say is that I found out after I left the concert that they came out for a second encore and played Pain for Pleasure. Probably around 80% of the people had left before then, so I assumed they were done after the first encore. I would just recommend that everyone really makes sure they are truly done before leaving. I also thoroughly enjoyed the openers, who were The Plot in You and The Amity Affliction. Sum 41 is great live, and I look forward to seeing them again and again.

Knapp hinter Rise Against an 2. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Sum 41 Will Play Their Final 13 Shows Across Canada in 2025

The pop-punk band have announced a dozen new canadian dates to close out their tour of the setting sum in january 2025. the announcement comes ahead of their final album, heaven :x: hell , out this friday..

Sum 41

The Sum might be setting, but pop-punk icons Sum 41 will play a final run of Canadian dates next year before they call it a day. The group has added a dozen new Canadian stops to their Tour of the Setting Sum, which travels the globe this year before concluding in their home country next January.

The new dates include an extra show in Toronto on Jan. 28 at Scotiabank Arena, in addition to the previously announced January 30 date, which will be their final show as a band. They'll also play three more Ontario dates, three B.C. dates, and each of the Prairie provinces.

advertisement

The tour announcement arrives ahead of their final album, Heaven :x: Hell , out this Friday (Mar. 29). The double album shows off Sum 41's two musical identities, pop-punk and metal. It also features the single "Landmines," which recently became their first No. 1 in 20 years when it topped the Alternative Airplay chart. The last time the Ajax, Ontario band had a No. 1 on Alternative Airplay was in 2001, with their single "Fat Lip," making them the new record-holders for longest gap between No. 1s on that chart.

A lot has changed in the 20-plus years between those singles. Sum 41's Deryck Whibley explained in a December GQ interview that, between health problems and time away from family, the music lifestyle has become harder to maintain. The band are calling it quits while it's still fun and going out amidst a resurgence in popularity, playing to fans around the world.

The final tour began earlier this month, and has already taken the group to Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan. They'll tour the U.S. and Europe this summer, as well as stopping in Quebec for four dates in August. Their final run of shows takes place in January 2025.

Presale for the additional dates, all in Canadian cities and listed below, begins Mar. 26. Find the full tour here.

January 10 — Victoria, BC - Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre January 11 — Vancouver, BC - Rogers Arena January 13 — Kelowna, BC - Prospera Place January 16 — Calgary, AB - Scotiabank Saddledome January 17 — Edmonton, AB - Rogers Place January 18 — Saskatoon, SK - Sasktel Centre January 20 — Winnipeg, MB - Canada Life Centre January 23 — St. Catharines, ON - Meridian Centre January 24 — Ottawa, ON - Canadian Tire Centre January 25 — Laval, QC - Place Bell January 27 — London, ON - Budweiser Gardens January 28 — Toronto, ON - Scotiabank Arena January 30 — Toronto, ON - Scotiabank Arena – FINAL SHOW

We’re kicking off Billboard Canada Women in Music in partnership with iHeartRadio with an exclusive performance by one of the breakout bands of the year: The Beaches.

On Wednesday, June 5 at 5:30 pm ET, the band will play an intimate performance on iHeartRadio’s rooftop patio at the iconic 299 Queen Street building in Toronto for a small group of VIP guests and concert-winners (enter here ).

The performance will kick off a special series in partnership with iHeartRadio Canada leading up to a big Billboard Canada Women in Music celebration this Fall.

Tune in for a special announcement from Billboard Canada at the show, which will also be livestreamed on iHeartRadio’s YouTube channel.

The Toronto group is in the midst of a major breakthrough on the heels of their 2023 album Blame My Ex . They left their label and went independent for the release, which was a wise decision. The success of their single “Blame Brett” has brought them to bigger and bigger stages and onto the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. They’ve recently graced Jimmy Kimmel Live and Triple J’s Like A Version, playing a cover of Djo’s viral TikTok hit “End of Beginning.”

Their manager, Laurie Lee Boutet, has also earned a big accolade this week, named to Billboard Canada’s Power Players list with her company Wednesday Management.

The Beaches are well-honed and road-tested, and their live versions of the songs on Blame My Ex are at their peak.

The event will kick off a special programming series as part of Billboard Women In Music — a renowned program that celebrates and acknowledges the contributions of women and gender-diverse individuals in the music industry — which is coming to Canada for the first time this year. More exciting details will be announced soon.
