Great guide and excellent tour

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide, Philip, was knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. The vineyards we stopped at were beautiful family run producers who were passionate about their products and processes. The 3 course lunch was rustic and tasty served in an old schoolhouse in a gorgeous rural setting. Service was friendly and efficient. The boat trip gave us spectacular views. Would recommend buying bottle of wine at first vineyard to enjoy on the boat! Philip was well prepared and kept it chilled for us and provided glasses!! In all, the tour was of high quality and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Duro Valley Excellent Experience

A antistic tour, probably the highlight of our 2 weeks in Spain / Portugal. Our guide was Maguel and he was excellent. Very entertaining and knowledgable. Was able to give us teh historu og Portugal while on the trip. The Duro River Valley is spectacular. We went to a wine tasting at Quinto de Cume, a small intimate windery where we really leared about the process of making wine. Then to our river cruise from Pinha. eather was great and the ride was relaxing and we were able to see the vinyards lining the river better. After lunch we went for port tasting at Alves de Sousa, another smaller winery in the region. Great hospitality! Found out the good port wines from this region are muc netter than we expected. The highliight was Maguel as he was the life of the party. Also, had a great group of prople on the tour was well. Enjoyed meeting all of them.

Memorable Porto Tour

Our group of friends had a memorable time on the Oporto Food Tour. Our guide Marlene was really captivating and took us on a tour of many of the must try foods in Oporto. I'll let the exact places remain a surprise, but we went to very nice local shops and restaurants where locals eat and are popular for their meals. We also made a quick tour of Mercado Bolhau and several famous landmarks and viewpoints. There is some walking involved in the tour, but nothing too intense. The tour exceeded our expectations in every way. Come hungry and ask for Marlene. We highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely amazing time. Would recommend to anyone. The trip was very relaxed, with some great company who we met on the day. Our host (Silvia) was extremely welcoming and friendly (as was everyone on the boat). The boat itself was fantastic, as were the route and views. The swim partway through was also very enjoyable, maybe my favourite part! Before we finished we had a few tastings coupled with some wine, but I won’t give too much away as part of the fun is tasting & guessing. Can’t recommend it enough.

A Magical experience ....Great food, wine and people!! Sylvia is warm, bubbly and makes sure everyone is relaxed and enjoying themselves. She personalises the places we pass on the boat. Then there is Miguel a chef and Natacha the skipper who make it feel like one big family. I loved our serene swim towed behind the boat on a rope under the bridge and even saw Dolphins playing. I recommend this experience to all ages , whether you’re solo.a couple or a family you’ll have the time of your life. ... 100/100 points.

Silvia is truly an expert on all things Lisboa! She is so fun and personable and not only knows Lisboa gastronomy but city history as well. This is a food AND history tour. She shows the best spots in the city which I wouldn’t have ever found on my own. If you’re looking for an Anthony Bourdain-esque experience, THIS IS IT!

Unmissable experience! My fiancé and I had the pleasure of spending the evening sharing, talking, drinking and eating our way through Sílvia’s Lisbon. AMAZING tour! Sylvia is super knowledgeable about Portuguese history and food and was so much fun to spend some time with. I got to try all sorts of food I wouldn't have known to try and also got a great tour of Lisbon. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough, a must do if in Lisbon.

Luke Bryan's Farm Tour returning to Millersport. Here's how to get tickets

When the stars come out in the country this weekend, one country star will be shining especially bright.

The 48-year-old five-time Entertainer of the Year has performed in Columbus in the past, including at the Schottenstein Center in 2014 and Buckeye Country Superfest in 2016 .

But nowhere in central Ohio are his appearances more anticipated than in Millersport, where he’ll make a return trip to Miller Family Farm on Friday during his annual Farm Tour.

Amber waves of grain have been cleared to make way for soundwaves of twang from the chart-topping singer-songwriter, who’s bringing four supporting acts on the tour.

“We raise lot of wheat, which is harvested in the summer, and the concert is normally held after the wheat crop because you need a good-sized field,” said Jon Miller, a partner at Miller Family Farm .

Miller estimated that 100-125 acres are used to accommodate the stage setup, parking and of course, the crowd, which has topped out at 20,000 in the past.

“The last show here pretty much sold out. They sell out at 20,000 tickets,” he said. “If the weather is decent, we’ll have a pretty good turnout.”

It doesn’t matter whether or not Mother Nature cooperates; the concert is a rain-or-shine event.

This is the 15 th year of Bryan’s concert series, which began in 2009 in his native Georgia and traveled around the South before extending to the Midwest in 2015, when it began in Indiana. The tour debuted in Ohio in 2018, touching down in Irwin in Union County.

This year will the first that Bryan has performed consecutive years at Miller Family Farm, located 30 miles east-southeast of downtown Columbus at 10750 Millersport Road.

“The first year we hosted, it was 2019 , then it was every other year. Then it’s been back-to-back ever since, except 2020 because of COVID,” Miller said.

Bryan’s visit could also be considered a release party since it coincides with his latest album, “Mind of a Country Boy,” dropping Friday.

So, why would an award-winning, famous musician choose tiny Millersport, a village of fewer than 1,000 people , as a concert site? In addition to the farm’s space, Miller believes Bryan’s roots as the son of peanut farmers played a role in his decision.

“Luke grew up on a farm, so when he hit it big, he wanted to do something farm-related. I think his theory was that all these concerts are put on in big cities, the rural community doesn’t have a big production like he brought (to Millersport),” Miller said.

“It must have worked because he’s been doing for 15 years.”

Miller also appreciates the economic impact the Farm Tour has on Millersport and Fairfield County. “It’s a nice little boost for that day. People come in and use gas stations, hotels and such. It’s good for the Millersport community,” he said.

“It’s a little bit more of a unique experience than going to Columbus to a stadium or arena. And the ticket prices are more affordable.”

Tickets for the Farm Tour cost $68 general admission. Parking passes, sold only with the purchase of tickets, are $10 online and $20 the day of the show. To purchase tickets and parking passes, go to lukebryan.com/farm-tour-2024 .

Attendees should anticipate congested traffic conditions and maybe even a long wait to get into the concert area, but otherwise, having a big concert in a small town isn’t much of a hassle due to the efficiency of Bryan’s crew, Miller said.

“Traffic is a little bit of a bear that day coming in and out,” he noted. “But they come in that morning and set up, then tear down that night. It really just affects one day.”

Parking for the concert will begin at 2 p.m. and attendees will be admitted at 5 p.m. Then at 6 p.m., it’s on with the show.

Miller said that during the three-hour interval between parking and admission, some concertgoers gather for a little harmless pregaming.

“A lot of people come early and have a small tailgate — within reason — in the parking lot,” he said.

Concertgoers are reminded to bring chairs and blankets, but there are things they should leave at home including coolers, grills, backpacks, outside food or drink, video cameras or professional-lens cameras. A full list of prohibited items can be viewed on Bryan’s website .

About the performers

Bryan initially made a name for himself in Nashville as a songwriter, writing for artists such as Travis Tritt and Billy Currington. Since shifting into the performing arena in 2007, he has amassed numerous top five and top 10 singles and 26 No. 1 hits.

Additionally, he has been a judge on “American Idol” since 2018, sitting on a panel with pop songstress Katy Perry and R&B veteran Lionel Richie.

Bryan has supported numerous charities and championed causes including AIDS and HIV, cancer, children's disaster relief, health and human rights, among others.

His business ventures include his record label, 32 Bridge Entertainment, a Nashville entertainment complex called LUKE'S 32 BRIDGE Food + Drink and Crash My Playa , a four-night, all-inclusive concert vacation hosted by Bryan in Cancun.

The Farm Tour also includes DJ Rock, Conner Smith, Tucker Wetmore and The Peach Pickers with Rodney Clawson.

DJ Rock began spinning tunes at college bars, clubs, sororities and fraternities while attending Georgia Southern University in the late '90s. In addition to DJing on the Farm Tour for several years, he has done other tours with Bryan and worked with artists including Sam Hunt and Cole Swindell.

Smith is native Nashvillean whose song, "I Hate Alabama," went viral on TikTok in 2021 and earned him a label deal. His 2023 single "Creek Will Rise" gave him his first top 20 hit on Billboard's Country Airplay chart and made history as the first-ever No. 1 on the U.K. Country Airplay chart.

After releasing three promotional singles in 2021, Wetmore signed with a label last year. "Wine Into Whiskey" was his first song on the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts. A follow-up single, "Wind Up Missin' You," was digitally released in March and as Wetmore's country radio debut single in June.

The Peach Pickers, a songwriting triumvirate composed of Rhett Akins , Ben Hayslip and Dallas Davidson , have penned hits for Bryan, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn and many others. (Fun fact: Bryan and Davidson were college roommates.)

The trio has won awards together and individually, and each has an impressive list of co-writing credits outside of the team's collaborations. Akins alone has written more than 30 No. 1 hits. They began touring as a performing act with Bryan in 2022.

The Peach Pickers will be joined by Rodney Clawson , who has written singles recorded by Bryan, Shelton, Sheryl Crow, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Faith Hill, George Strait, Big & Rich, Keith Urban, Lady A and others.
