If you’re a fan of Adam Calhoun , you may want to check to see if he’s coming to a venue near you on his latest Country Rap Tour just announced. If you haven’t heard of him, he’s a very patriotic country/rap artist who is very outspoken against the bullsh*t we see in our country, everyday. Demun Jones, Brodnax and Dusty Leigh are all very good artists in their own right, too.

Here’s Adam Calhoun’s “The Patriot” where he tears apart the BLM narrative and asks some very important questions to the followers and members.

Adam Calhoun has a range of sounds, though, so don’t expect ONLY tracks like this to be on this tour, but he does have many blue collar, hard worker-based tracks, too.

Bordnax (a.k.a. Mr. Brodnax) has a look and flow all to his own. He’s definitely rising through the ranks of the country/rap game. Check out his music video for “Mask Off” where he reminds us that we can’t rely on politicians. It’s on us to fix this BS.

Dusty Leigh has less of a hard rap sound and more of a hip-hop sound but the country is still there.

Adam Calhoun Adds Dates To “Country Rap Tour”

Country hip-hop singer, Adam Calhoun has announced fresh dates for his 2022 “Country Rap Tour”. Hitting the road in support of his 10 th album “The Brave” in which he collaborated with rapper Tom MacDonald, the US shows will start on October 12, 2022 and end on November 22, 2022. Adam Calhoun will be performing live in multiple cities, with the inaugural performance at the Emerson Theatre in Indianapolis. Adam Calhoun tickets are also available for his concerts in Flint, Harrison, Fort Wayne, Oshkosh, Inman, Houston, Denver, and many other cities. Bourbon Theatre in Lincoln will host the lase show on November 22, 2022.

The “Country Rap Tour” will feature Demun Jones, Dusty Leigh, and Brodnax as the special guests on select dates.

Country rapper Adam Calhoun has announced a new batch of U.S. tour dates taking place later in 2022 alongside special guests Demun Jones , Dusty Leigh and Brodnax. His Country Rap Tour gets started again October 12th in Indianapolis and stretches into November visiting markets like Flint, Oshkosh, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Houston, New Orleans, Denver, West Hollywood and Lincoln. The tour originally launched earlier this summer and was joined by the same crew.

Calhoun will continue supporting his latest collaboration album 'The Brave' (with Tom MacDonald ) which was self-released on March 4th, 2022. The new album reached a career-best #14 on the Billboard 200 and follows up 2021's 'Outlaw Shxt' (with Struggle Jennings ). Since beginning his career in 2017, the Chicago-based singer has also teamed up with Upchurch on their collaborative album 'Hooligan' as well as with Hosier on their first and last joint effort 'Made in America' .

Hip/hop and rock have been working together since the Beastie Boys came on the scene in the 80s, but the 90’s introduced a whole new take on this movement and Crazy Town were one of many groups who adopted and helped with re-modifying it.

The band’s origins trace back to the early collaborations of Los Angeles’ musicians Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer. Both friends grew up in musical environments, with Mazur’s father acting as the manager for Billy Joel and Binzer’s father claiming occupational roles such as artist and filmmaker (he had even worked with the Rolling Stones in the past).

The two friends were influenced equally by rap acts such as N.W.A. as they were, atmospheric rock along the lines of the Cure. By 1995 they formed The Brimstone Slugger and eventually recruited Adam Bravin (DJ Adam 12) as a member. Though this endeavor helped provide the framework for Crazy Town, nothing serious initially came of it.

Crazy Town gained a degree of stability and prominence in 1999 when Rust Epique, James Bradley Jr, Doug Miller, Adam Goldstein, and Antonio Lorenzo pledged membership. Later that year the group released their debut studio album “The Gift Game”. Though it took a while for the album to catch on with the public, it eventually became a huge commercial hit for the group. It went on to sell over 1.5 million records in the US and produced the no. 1 hit “Butterfly”. The album contained samples ranging from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Siouxsie and the Banshees and featured guest appearances from KRS-One and the Alkaholiks.

The group promoted this release on a tour opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They also joined the Ozzfest line up in 2000, but unfortunately had to cancel two weeks into the tour due to Binzer’s incarceration. However, they were able catch the next “crazy train” for Ozzfest’s 2001 tour leg.

Their 2nd studio album “Darkhouse” was released on 12 November 2002 and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 120. It’s sound took a step away from hip-hop and focused more on the band’s hard rock tendencies. The album’s 1st single “Drowning” did reasonably well on the charts, but it’s 2nd single “Hurt You So Bad” failed to chart; however, this track did gain some attention partially due to the contributed guitar solo from Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo.

Crazy Town disbanded not long after the release of “Darkhorse”; however, they did reform in 2007 to start work on a new album. This album never saw release, but several tour dates surfaced in 2010 and the group’s long awaited 3rd studio album “The Brimstone Sluggers” is set for release in 2015.

Live reviews

After a ten year hiatus, rap-metal outfit Crazy Town are back to start a new chapter honouring not only their hardcore fan base, but taking this as an opportunity of redemption and new found passion to take the band to unimaginable heights. Having been away for so long, succumbing to personal issues and tragedy within the band, the only two remaining original members Seth ‘Shifty’ Binzer and Bret ‘Epic’ Mazur have the difficult task of re-establishing Crazy Town all over again. Their smash hit single “Butterfly” using a Red Hot Chilli Peppers sample of “Pretty Little Dirty” went double platinum and achieved number one in four countries securing their biggest success to date. It’s no surprise that when they returned they were anxious about the reaction and whether people even remembered who they were.

With new material in the form of “LemonFace” and “Come Inside” displaying a more electronic side to their sound, it’s a little taste of their new direction and what is to come. On stage they have a renewed sense of confidence as Shifty roams into the crowd passing the microphone as they sing along to “Toxic”, you can’t help but bop your head to the beat. The interaction between Shifty and Epic as they have an onstage rap battles is exhilarating and full of energy as they signal for the crowd to jump up and down. The new Crazy Town sound is well received as the audience clap along to the beat. The biggest reaction of course comes when they play “Butterfly”, many of whom have waited a long time to see this live and Crazy Town don’t disappoint sending energy levels soaring through the roof, as the crowd sing along word for word waving their arms from side to side. There is no doubt that Crazy Town are back and the future looks bright!

I cannot quite convey how much I desperately wanted to see Crazy Town live, every since I heard the steady beats and smooth melodies to “Butterfly,” the group have been near the top of my “bands to see” list. My dream came true one year as Crazy Town were all set to appear at Glastonbury festival, and I had secured my ticket! If you have ever seen the music video for “Butterfly,” you’d understand what I mean when I say that the weird and wonderful world of Glastonbury festival was the perfect place to see them live: with people dressed in glitter and fairy wings, and decorated with bindis and butterfly face paint being a regular occurrence at Worthy Farm, Crazy Town’s most famous music video was practically recreated. The vibe was very relaxed amongst the crowd, but everyone was still nodding their heads and dancing along to every song they performed, all of those who lived their teenage years through the ‘naughties loving every minute. Highlights from their set included “Butterfly” (obviously) but also the heavier, “Drowning” and more chilled “Revolving Doors;” the sample the latter song uses is so poignant and instantly recognisable that the whole audience went crazy for it!

I felt so bad for a while bringing my girls to the show because the scene was so lame. Granted, it was a Monday night.

That was until Crazy town took the stage. 100% energy and excitement, new takes on old songs and some jamming renditions of new songs like lemonface & Born to Raise Hell. Shifty I was extremely charismatic and interacted with the crowd throughout the set.

His new band is better than ever, sans DJ AM (whom Shifty dedicated a song to being that Philly is AM's hometown). Fantastic new band, very hard core Metal/rap on par with Korn. Yes I said it, on par with Korn.

This was my second CXT show, so glad Shifty still tours. My first @ the Whiskey on Sunset when Bobby Reeves was still in the band. That show didn't end until 4am for my girl me cuz we gave them all a ride back to Shifty's apartment in Long Beach. Shifty proved he doesn't need anyone else to work a crowd.

Looking forward to the new EP for 2018 he's recording in Italy. STAY DOPE AS HELL BROTHER!

Great night in whisky a go go, these guys still rock we were in LA from London UK & felt really happy to see a group we remembered from back in the day at a venue we had only ever read about & seen on TV. Then WOW!

Where have Crazy Town been, they sound better than ever and look real good too. Engaging with enough tracks to incorporate something for everyone. New single is a must listen to & once heard like me I bet it will become a playlist favourite.

Thanks for helping our trip of a life time take us back to a time in our life that was carefree. We may all be older and wiser but seeing Crazy Town proved that when played right music is magic. Keep rocking it: Loved it & will not hesitate to see again if come to the UK.

Absolutely brilliant gig. 20 years waiting to see Crazy Town. Saw a couple of the other bands too. The Final Clause of Tacitus were great. Brilliant bassist. Loved their cover of Jump Around. Will listen to more of their stuff. Loved the New Cross Inn. Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks. LOUD!

Most disappointing show I’ve seen. 6 b-rate metal bands performed before we found out Crazy Town wasn’t even there. The band did not show up to a concert THEY rescheduled from a Friday night to Thursday. This concert was terrible (no offense to the local bands who at least got some stage time)

What a great night out. Crazy Town were excellent. Shifty had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Great showmanship. He mingled with the audiences before and after the show. Nothing was to much. Very polite man. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What can I say but OMG, the venue change was a bummer and probably depleted the crowd but this made it more intimate and the band were so friendly and professional playing all the hits. These guys deserve to be on top again..J

Really great to see Crazy Town back again! Great show, great energy, & great venue! Not over priced & the service at the bar was great! The seafood next door was delicious as well!
