Way to carbonated. The base beer comes out pretty good if it wasn’t for the zesty highly carbonated body. Spice over haze

This shop is the first of its kind in the Lou! What sets this newbie apart from any other ice creamery where you can get vegan ice cream, is that everything is vegan, gluten-free, and free of a bunch of other allergens. Not only that, they are very eco-friendly, using reusable jars and spoons for their ice creams. And their flavor offerings thus far have been phenomenal! Gooey Butter (filled with vegan gf gooey butter cake pieces from locally owned Royally Baked (an all vegan eatery)), Raspberry Berry, Chocolate Praline, Almond Joy, etc. They're in their startup phase right now as they look to secure a permanent location. In the meantime and in between time, follow their Instagram to see where the next pop-up event will be. They recently announced a pop-up (preorder only) and it sold out in less than 12 hours! They will be a vendor at the St. Louis VegFest in August.
Wandering yeti's ice cream is inventive, creamy, and delicious. Each flavor I have tasted brings all the nostalgia of having hand scooped ice cream as a kid with even more unique and tasty favors. Excited to continue to support and follow this business!

6 Places Where the Yeti Has Been Spotted
By editorial staff | oct 4, 2016.
Stories of the Yeti have fascinated people for centuries. A ravaging creature similar to Bigfoot, the Yeti remains one of world culture’s most enduring legends. You might not believe the bipedal monster exists, but a few eyewitness accounts could sway your opinion. Here are a few of the places the creature has been spotted.
1. THE HIMALAYAS
Many Yeti tales originate in the Himalayas, the snow-capped mountains near India. In 1925, a photographer was hiking as part of a British expedition when he saw an unusual figure more than 300 yards away. Naked, it disappeared before the man could snap a picture. Heading down, he noticed five-toed footprints in the snow—indicating a conspicuous lack of footwear considering the elements. The photographer later declared he believed what he had seen was the Yeti.
In 2011, a team of Yeti explorers combing Siberian terrain announced they had made a startling discovery: some strands of hair and footprints they believed belonged to the creature. The hairs were found in a cave—possibly the elusive prey’s home—along with a makeshift bed. Despite a lack of conclusive evidence, tourism to the cave in the Kemerovo region soared after the announcement.
An American television program, featuring Expedition Unknown ’s Josh Gates, was filming in 2007 when the production staff came across intriguing footprints near the Manju River in the Khumbu region: all were oversized. The team captured molds of the prints, and one cast now resides at a popular theme park.
4. MOUNT EVEREST
In 1951, a group of mountaineers looking to reach the summit of Mount Everest spotted a series of strange footprints in the snow more than 16,000 feet up. The prints were said to be twice as wide as a normal human’s. Using ice picks and boots to identify their scale, the crew took some of the highest-quality photographs ever released of what could be the Yeti’s tracks. The originals fetched more than $8000 during a 2014 auction.
5. SOVIET CENTRAL ASIA
In 1988, Ukrainian researchers paid a visit to the Pamir Mountains near the Afghanistan border. While there, they insisted they were roughly 100 feet away from a genuine Yeti. The creature emerged after the team had set up a camp for the night, lurking in the background before wandering away.
6. WESTERN SIBERIA
In what remains one of the most intimate encounters with the creature reported to date, a Soviet scientist claimed in 1988 that she came face-to-face with the Yeti during a Siberian expedition. The researcher and her companions had settled into a cabin overnight when they heard a commotion. Stepping outside, they described seeing a six-foot, seven-inch creature covered in fur and sporting red eyes. Standing just 16 feet away, the beast was scared off when her dog began barking and chasing after it.

Wandering Yeti is hosting a vegan frozen custard pop-up on June 9 at Steve's Hot Dogs
By Iain Shaw // June 6, 2022
Vegan frozen custard startup Wandering Yeti will throw its first public pop-up at Steve’s Hot Dogs on Thursday, June 9.
Five flavors will be available for the event: the Gooey Buttah (contains coconut), cookies & creme, Icelandic mint chocolate chip (contains soy), strawberry, and chocolate-caramel-praline (contains nuts). The Gooey Buttah flavor is made using Royally Baked ’s gluten free vegan Gooey Buttah cake.
The event at Steve’s Hot Dogs will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Each 6-ounce serving of frozen custard will be served in jars, which can be taken home or consumed on the premises. Steve’s Hot Dogs will also be operating as normal, and people who are strictly vegan and/or gluten-free should note that Steve’s menu does include a number of vegan and gluten free options.
Wandering Yeti co-owner Scott Morrissey stressed that while his recipes are gluten-free and free of several major allergens, the products are currently still being produced in a facility where cross-contamination is possible. He said Wandering Yeti will be setting up in a fully gluten-free and allergen-free facility in the near future.
The journey started for co-owners Scott and Julia Morrissey when they decided to go vegan 11 years ago. Scott said they took to vegan eating smoothly – but they did miss ice cream. At that time, vegan ice cream options were few and far between. “Back then there was just really nothing good,” Scott said. “My favorite ice cream was Trader Joe's soy vanilla, which was one of the inspirations for me wanting to do this because I knew that there had to be a better way.”
A few years later, Scott’s father-in-law bought him an ice cream maker. “I just went to town,” he said. He looked up recipe after recipe, but found the majority were coconut-based. He wasn’t a fan of coconut, and eventually that forced him to re-evaluate. “I scrapped the whole looking for vegan ice cream recipes idea, and literally just started looking at regular ice cream,” he said. “Just studying regular ice cream recipes – what gives it the right flavor profile? What about milk and giving it that texture? We had to figure it out from the ground up.”
When Scott eventually arrived at an ice cream recipe he was satisfied with, he set himself a new challenge: to create a vegan frozen custard. Again, the recipe development process meant Scott had to dissect the elements that make frozen custard distinct from ice cream. “Instead of trying to replace the actual egg in the product, I just went for flavor and texture,” he said. He learned about the importance of overrun – essentially, air content – in creating that silky smooth, creamy texture that St. Louisans love. As Scott and Julia evolved their frozen custard recipe, they shared the product with friends and family, who encouraged them to consider selling it.
Now they’re getting ready to take their product to the public, and the Morrisseys are not standing still. They haven plenty more flavors ready to go, and will be hosting further pop-ups this summer – follow them on Instagram to keep up with announcements. Scott also said Wandering Yeti is scouting for a potential storefront location. “Once we do get a storefront, the flavor options are literally endless,” Scott said.

The Wandering Jew and The Yeti
By Charles London | May 23, 2011
I suppose I should start at the beginning, before I became a writer of books for younger readers .
I was in Asia doing research for what would become Far From Zion , a narrative of my journey through the far reaches of the Diaspora to figure out what it meant for me to be a part of the Jewish people. What did I have in common with a Jew in Rangoon? What did he share with a recent convert in rural Uganda? And what did all of us share with a Jewish community in Arkansas or with my Orthodox great-great grandfather who settled in Virginia or with the nephew of a Chasidic Rabbi in Jerusalem? What bound us together; why did Jewish community persist, and what was my place in it?
I took a trip, starting in Burma, to find out.
At the time, however, thousands of monks and pro-democracy protesters were clashing violently with government soldiers all over the country, and on Yom Kippur, things in Rangoon started to get crazy. I literally walked into the middle of the protests in front of a sacred Buddhist shrine in the center of downtown. Within twenty-four hours, the military junta, which controls Burma (and which they had renamed Myanmar) sealed off the country, shut down the internet and scrambled all western television. No CNN. No NBC. No Cartoon Network. And I really missed it.
Even as things were going insane in the streets, TV somehow made me feel safer, more comfortable, less far from home. After only a month, I was tired of traveling and chaos and excitement. I got out of the country just when things started to get violent in Burma and I flew to Mumbai, India in the middle of the festival of Ganesh. Fireworks and pink paint everywhere. Crowds of pilgrims and partygoers on every corner.
I was so over it.
I was homesick already and I had a year of travel ahead of me to places like Uganda, Bosnia, Iran, Cuba and, yes, even Arkansas. My friends and family were often jealous because I was always in some far-off place having some crazy adventure—family members pictured me as a cross between Indiana Jones and Woody Allen —but all I wanted was to be curled up on the couch at home watching TV.
When we meet Oliver and Celia in the first book in the series, they wish they could cast off that inheritance and just be the normal children of boring parents. But their mother has gone missing; their father craves excitement, and they are doomed to travel the world, to encounter mystics and sages, discover ancient ruins, and come face to face with the mythic Yeti. They cannot cast off their destiny!
And they are so over it.
I guess there is something Jewish about that. After being forced to wander for thousands of years, the Jewish people too, were so over it.
Of course, Moses never had to fight a Yeti.

MAGA Media Won’t Stop Sharing This Doctored Biden Video
Another day, another manufactured ragebait: Conservative media is circulating a video of Joe Biden apparently wandering off during a G7 summit gathering in southern Italy with claims that fascist Italian Prime Minister Meloni had to “pull him back to focus.” The incident caused a stir among right-wing outlets—and was totally doctored .
The clip that circulated among tabloids at home and abroad, including the New York Post , Sky News , and Times of India —was first blown up by right-wing account “RNC Research,” an account managed by Trump’s campaign team and the Republican National Convention and that claims to be “exposing the lies, hypocrisy, and failed far-left policies of Joe Biden and the Democrat Party.”
WHAT IS BIDEN DOING? pic.twitter.com/iY33K2srII — RNC Research (@RNCResearch) June 13, 2024
RNC Research’s post conveniently cropped out a skydiver repacking his parachute that Biden turned to talk to before another skydiver began addressing the group of global leaders. After the New York Post shared the video of the incident on X, it was quickly met with a Community Note debunking the claim. While the New York Post ’s article admits Biden was speaking with a skydiver, the headline and included video are nonetheless deceptive, provoking criticism of the Post ’s coverage of the non-incident incident.
In the full video , world leaders are informally gathered around each other, talking and looking around as Biden moves to chat with a skydiver repacking his parachute. While he’s speaking to the skydiver, another skydiver begins talking to the group, at which point the gaggle of world leaders begin to shuffle and adjust to listen to the skydiver. It’s at that point Meloni taps Biden to notify him that another skydiver is speaking to them behind him.
