Batangas is a lovely province in the Philippines located in Luzon’s Southern Tagalog region and is known as the “Industrial Port City of Calabarzon.” Batangas is one among the foremost travelers’ destinations closer to Metro Manila. It is home to the well – known Taal Volcano, one of the decade Volcanoes, and Taal Heritage town, a modest community that has tribal houses and structures going back to the nineteenth century.

Batangas offers numerous beach resorts, tranquil islands, spectacular mountains, and any other beautiful views.

Taal Volcano , one of the smallest and most active volcanoes in the entire world. It is famous both for local tourists because it is a volcano within a lake (Taal Lake). With its scenic view, one may enjoy horseback riding, boating across the volcano island, and climbing to the crater of the lake.

Fortune Island , a lone island situated in Nasubgu, Batangas, famous for its serene blue waters and notable Grecian ruins.

Anilao , an ideal place for underwater sports and trekking, and is known as the birthplace of ” Scuba Diving” in the Philippines.

Ideal times to visit Batangas are the months from January to May, the country’s dry season. There is sunshine most of the days, and you can expect clear skies wherein one may enjoy the beach. Batangas City is two and a half hours away from Manila when one uses the old inter town route. Using the combined South Luzon Expressway (SLex) and STAR Tollway route, one can reach Batangas City in an hour. For short trips in the desired destinations, passenger jeepneys abound, and then tricycles.

You can find 5 star resorts in the most popular beaches – primarily Anilao, Nasugbu and San Juan. Lipa city also has some great hotels, located near the waters of Taal lake.

Continue reading further down this page to find detailed information about each area in Batangas. You will learn about the popular beaches, nearby tourist spots and attractions. Choose the area which matches your preferences the best, and build you entire custom package around it. Since Batangas isn’t a huge province, and commuting is easy, it’s recommended to tour the whole area and even switch between hotels during your stay.

Batangas Travel Essentials

  • Capital : Batangas city
  • Flights : Fly to Manila and take the bus from there. There are many different companies operating this short line – some go straight to Batangas city. If you want to get to  Nasugbu, Calatagan and Lian you can take the Tagaytay route.
  • Ferry :   As mentioned, there are countless ferries to and from Batangas pier. You can get here from basically any area in the Philippines. Our experts will help you plan your travels in the most efficient way.
  • Getting around : Mainly jeepneys for longer drives around the province, or tricycles for shorter ones. If you want to rent a car or motorbike in Batangas city, let us know and we’ll help sort it out.
  • Best time to visit : To avoid the rain, try and come here between January and May. September to December should also be fine. During holy week the area is full with local tourists and prices soar, so you might have to head to more remote beaches and islands.
  • Attractions : Beaches, mountain hikes, diving, old churches, alll inclusive beach resorts
  • Local festivals and holidays :   There are no less than 50 local celebrations each year, mostly in the months where weather is fine. The festivals are scattered all throughout the province, so just let us know if you want to participate in one and we’ll direct you there. None of the festivals stands out, but they are all a fun way to meet the locals and enjoy an unusual experience.

How to get there?

To get to Anilao or Batangas pier, you will need to take a Batangas City bound bus from Manila. There are several companies who operate this line: JAM Liner has terminals in Pasay (Buendia and Taft intersection), and in EDSA-Cubao. ALPS has a terminal in Araneta Center – Cubao. The air-conditioned bus ride costs around 160P, and stops in Batangas City main bus station and Batangas Pier. If you’re in Makati, take the JAM Liner bus in Taft Terminal station, as it is closer and reachable via MRT.

If you want to go to Layia Beach ALPS bus company has buses leaving hourly to San Juan Batangas. The terminals are the same as described in the paragraph above. From San Juan, you’ll need to take a jeepney, tricycle, or taxi.

To get to Nasugbu, take a DLTB Bus from the Gil Puyat Station (Taft Ave. and Buendia Ave. intersection) or Baclaran. DLTB have a direct bus going to Nasugbu Bus Station, and from there you can get to Lian and Calatagan as well. This bus is also available in Taft terminal station of the MRT.

An alternative to these routs is taking a taxi. It’s not going to be cheap – a ride to Batangas City will cost $70, and it’s even more expensive to go to other locations in Batangas.

What To Do In Batangas?

Naturally, this guide will focus almost entirely on the different beach towns around Batangas, as they are the main attraction. We will explain the differences between each, as well as name the popular tourist spots and hidden beaches.

We also try and present a shortlist of more unorthodox things to do in Batangas, for those looking to do more than just relax at the beach all day. Add any item you like to your wishlist, and create the ultimate Batangas vacation package. If you need more information about a certain activity, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Most Popular Beaches in Batangas

Laiya beach

Don’t get us wrong, the views at Anilao are fantastic and resorts are world class. The problem is most beaches here are just narrow strips of sand, separated by huge stone cliffs. To make matters worse, the water itself is full of rocks and large boulders – making swimming unpleasant and even dangerous. That is why we recommend visiting Anilao only if you are into diving and snorkeling. No doubt its one of the best diving spots in the Philippines. We’ll dedicate a whole section to diving in Batangas further down this page, so you can read all about Anilao there.

One location which is truly recommend is Laiya beach near San Juan. Thanks to its white sand and clear waters, Laiya is quickly becoming one of the most popular beaches in the Philippines. It’s even mentioned in the same breath with the likes of Boracay! Although clearly less spectacular, Laiya beach offers a complete experience without being overwhelmed by the crowds. There’s also no shortage of accommodation here, ranging from hostels to luxury resorts.

Another place you could check out is Nasugbu. Located on the eastern side of the province, this quiet town is surrounded by spectacular beaches. Although not as popular as Laiya, Nasugbu still sees many tourist every week and the best beaches can be a bit crowded. The area is well developed, and there are multiple 5 star beachfront resorts. If you are looking for a private beach adventure, sail to the nearby fortune island.

Neighboring Nasugbu to the south is the municipality of Lian. This place was the spot for Manila’s rich and famous during the 1950’s and 60’s, but has lost some popularity since. Still, Lian has some beautiful beaches – most notably Matabungkay Beach. The choice of hotels here is a bit more limited, with just a few resorts that follow western standards. If you continue further south, you’ll arrive to Caltagan, one of the most picturesque areas in Batangs and great place for a day tour.

Best Secret Beaches

Tingloy secret beach

Chances are you’ll spend at least some time in Anilao, and as mentioned the beaches there are bit problematic. Don’t worry! We got the perfect solution for you, so you can still enjoy the complete Batangas beach experience. There’s an island called Tingloy just a short boat ride from Mabini and it’s full of beautiful beaches. Most Anilao resorts will happily arrange an island hopping tour for you, so you can combine a visit to Tingloy with some snorkeling and diving.

For those who prefer to avoid the boat ride, there’s always other options. One beach we especially recommend is sampaguita beach in Bauan. This beach is privately owned by the local dive resort, but you can access it without any problem. Being just north of Anilao means there are much less people, and the beach is simply great.

Anybody who is staying at either Batangas city or San Juan, has some decent options as well. We suggest you spend some time exploring Malabrigo beach in particular. The beach is quite unique since it’s completely covered with pebble-stones, very unusual for beaches here in the Philippines. It’s still comfortable enough to sit on the beach, but even better to get into the waters and swim.

Lastly, we haven’t forgotten those of you who plan to stay in Nasugbu. There are plenty of smaller beaches nearby and they are all nice. One beach however stands out and that is Burot beach in Cataglan. You can easily spend the whole day there, and it’s also a great spot for camping. If you do decide to go to Burot, please consult with us first. The beach has been closed to the public for a long duration of time more than once. There are plenty of other beaches nearby, so if it’s closed we’ll suggest an alternative.

Anilao Diving packages

Diving in Anilao

By now you already know Batangas is full of beautiful beaches, and many of them offer fantastic dive sites. However, if you plan to visit the province and focus on diving, it makes no sense to go anywhere else except Anilao. Comprised of two barangays (districts) near the town of Mabini, Anilao is the perfect divers haven near Manila.

The whole area is full of dive resorts, some of which offer all inclusive deals. You can easily find accommodation at any level you feel comfortable with, from luxury to budget. The fact Anilao is more local tourist oriented means hotels are generally much cheaper than those at other islands. That is why this is one of the best places for beginners to spend a few days and get their diving certificate, before continuing to other locations for more advanced dives.

The fact that Anilao was a pioneer in the local diving scene means diving culture is extremely developed there. Almost all resorts will offer in-house training, lessons and guides. Diving tours are also available, as well as island hopping and other exciting adventures in the area. The gear is also provided by the resort, but bringing your own makes it cheaper.

We especially recommend joining a group and taking the diving tours together. It will not only make things more affordable, but also enrich your experience and help you meet new friends. Anilao is full of amazing diving spots, with coral reefs and marine life found everywhere – so you are certain to have a great time. If you came to the Philippines for diving, this can make for a great start to your vacation.

Other Attractions and Activities

Taal church at night

There’s so much more to Batangas than beaches and diving, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding other things to do. The greatest thing is, it’s absolutely no trouble combining these with a beach vacation. Most resorts will help you plan day tours, and even find private tour guides if you need those. All you have to do is let us know what activities you’d like to try, and let us take care of the rest.

Batangas is a very popular hiking destination, because the sites here are extremely accessible and not too demanding. Both Mt.Batulao and Mt.Talamitam are very close to Nasugbu and are great hiking spots. Each trek shouldn’t take more than half a day to complete, with Mt.Bulato being the harder of the two. Since there are hardly any tress around, it can be a bit exhausting when the sun is up. But that shouldn’t be an issue, you can get plenty of rest at the beach when you are back.

Batangas is so close to Manila , the first area conquered by the Spaniards, which means it has a rich history and culture. If you are visiting fortune island, make sure to visit the San Diego museum – dedicated to the famous sunken galleon salvaged nearby. Another indication to the area’s importance for sea trade are the two lighthouses built by the Spaniards. The lighthouse in Calatagan is more famous, but the one at Malabrigo beach is just as nice and impressive.

For a deeper look into history, make sure to visit the churches of Batangas. These are some of the oldest Christian monuments in Asia, and extremely well preserved. These churches can be found at any city or town in the province, and they are all quite impressive. Out of them all, the Basilica of St. Martin of Tours in Taal is the most popular one to visit. We also suggest you check the town of Lipa nearby – home to both the San Sebastian Cathedral and Mt.Carmel Chapel .

Is Batangas The Right Place For My Vacation?

Many people who consider visiting Batangas aren’t sure whether or not it’s worth their time. The table below presents a brief comparison between Batangas and other popular destinations near Manila. We hope it will help you understand better whether Batangas is the right vacation spot for you, and where does it excel over other locations.

  • Ease of reaching : Very easy
  • Best time to visit : November to May
  • All inclusive resorts
  • Hiking sites
  • Nightlife : Few bars near popular beaches
  • Suitable for : Family, Manila weekends

Puerto Galera

  • Ease of reaching : Easy
  • Scuba diving
  • Hiking and nature
  • Nightlife : Good
  • Suitable for : Diving, Manila Weekends
  • Wreck diving
  • Nightlife : Few bars and restaurants
  • Suitable for : Family, Manila Weekends

Batangas is also the cheapest among the three. It’s also a much bigger province, and has some great day tour activities like the Taal Volcano tour , and lots of beautiful beaches to explore. If you are a serious diver and that’s your main interest, you’ll be better in Puerto Galera for the coral reefs and marine life, or in Subic Bay for its world class wreck diving. One very important thing to know about Subic, is that it hardly has any nice beaches, which is a real downside.

If your’e interested in both Batangas and Puerto Galera, you can easily visit both, because the way to Puerto Galera goes through Batangas. Especially recommended for families, as breaking the trip into two stops, shortens travel times and makes the whole vacation more comfortable.

How Does Batangas Fit Into My Travel Plan?

The fact Batangas is so close to Manila is already a great reason to include it in your vacation. You could even spend a night or two in Tagaytay , then continue south and explore the province for as long as you’d like.

Continuing from Batangas is very simple, with Puerto Galera being the most sensible destination. From there, you can reach many Visayas destinations such as Boracay or Cebu , so building an itinerary is quite simple.

We offer complete Batangas packages, full of fun and stunning beaches. You can build your packages any way you’d like, and our team will help make your dreams a reality. It is, however, much better to include Batangas in a larger vacation package, and let us plan your entire trip. That way, we can make sure you experience everything the Philippines has the offer and enjoy the best deals and promotions.

WHAT'S COVERED IN THIS GUIDE?

Due to its popularity, Anilao has become the poster image of the municipality of Mabini . It has become synonymous with the town it represents. In reality, however, Anilao is just a barangay and many of the resorts that are often tagged “Anilao” are located in other nearby villages.

local tour operator in batangas

Tucked in the northern coast of the Calumpang Peninsula, it is one of the areas in Batangas that underwent development ahead of others. Regarded as the birthplace of scuba diving in the Philippines, Anilao’s rich and colorful underwater scenery attracts visitors more than its shores.

Anilao is also a setting-off point to other attractions including Sombrero Island and Masasa Beach in Tingloy, the only island municipality of Batangas. It is also the jump-off point to Mt. Gulugod Baboy , a relatively easy hike, perfect for trekking beginners. Some hikers head to the beaches to take a refreshing swim after the climb.

The municipality of Tingloy occupies Maricaban Island, making it the only municipality outside mainland Batangas. It’s situated off the tip of the peninsula and sandwiched between Balayan Bay and Batangas Bay.

For a long time, the isolated town has been off the radar until beachgoers heard the news about Masasa Beach , a pristine stretch of fine sand and clear waters. Today, Masasa Beach is one of the most popular attractions in the province, attracting thousands of tourists from Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon.

The well-known Sombrero Island, which is often associated with Anilao, is actually part of Tingloy too. Another beach destination in Tingloy is Oscar Beach, sometimes called by the locals as Oscar Island. All these pieces of tropical paradise make Tingloy one of the fastest-rising tourist destinations in the country.

3. Laiya, San Juan

local tour operator in batangas

Laiya Aplaya , or simply Laiya, is another seaside barangay that pretty much represents the whole town of San Juan in terms of tourism. In fact, many beach resorts in other parts of the municipality — like those in nearby Barangay Hugom — are also being marketed with the term Laiya in tow to catch more attention or spark interest.

The long and wide stretch of fine light-colored sand harbors numerous resorts and hotels, ranging from budget to high-end. It has become one of the go-to weekend destinations and a venue for events such as company outings and even weddings.

6. Verde Island

local tour operator in batangas

Verde Island , also called Isla Verde , is nestled in the middle of Verde Island Passage, hailed as the center of the world’s marine biodiversity by a 2007 Smithsonian Institute study.

Just 45 minutes off the Batangas mainland, this sleepy fishing island in Batangas City remains undisturbed by tourism as of today. Most tourist amenities and activities are concentrated in Mahabang Buhangin and Cueva Sitio. With very few resorts, homestays, and restaurants, its rugged shores are almost devoid of tourists. But that’s not to say that this breathtaking island has nothing to offer. In fact, it offers something that not many Luzon destinations can provide — some peace and quiet.

Verde Island is perfect for those who are looking for a serene, back-to-basics kind of beach escape.

If you are looking for a unique beach destination n Batangas, the municipality of Lobo is notable for its pebble beaches. Instead of shores covered with fine sands, most of the beaches in Lobo, especially in Malabrigo, are carpeted by smooth pebbles and stones.

This has been my family’s secret summer getaway because we like the less crowded beaches. A few years ago, it was quite challenging to travel to Lobo because some parts of the winding road were not yet cemented. But today, it’s easier to reach either from Batangas City or from San Juan.

Despite the development, it’s still tamer and quieter compared to other more developed coastal towns in Batangas. Most of its patrons seek serenity more than anything. As for me, I like that I don’t have to worry about the sand sticking to my hair or my swimwear. Haha!

My family likes walking to the lighthouse in the morning when we visit for an overnight stay. The Malabrigo Point Lighthouse (Faro de Punta Malabrigo) is a National Historical Landmark. In the past, we can freely explore inside and around the lighthouse, but during our recent visit, we can only admire the lighthouse from the outside. We don’t mind because it also serves as a viewpoint, overlooking the sea and the surrounding areas.

8. Taal Heritage Town

local tour operator in batangas

Taal was originally located in what is now the town of San Nicolas near Taal Lake. The former provincial capital was forced to relocate to its present location when the Taal Volcano violently erupted in the mid-18th century.

Although commercialization is apparent, the town center still elicits that strong old town vibe with the well-preserved town hall building and ancestral houses flanking the streets. But the town’s highlight is the Basilica de San Martin de Tours (or simply Taal Basilica ), said to be the biggest Catholic church in Asia. Sitting atop a hill, it definitely commands attention and is an iconic landmark.

If you get hungry, you can try some of Batangas’ signature dishes like the tapang Taal and Taal longganisa . You can order these at Don Juan BBQ near Taal Market, where you can also go food tripping or pasalubong shopping.

If you have more time, you can also check out the Taal-made Barong Tagalong, balisong-making, and Taal embroidery products.

9. Fantasy World, Lemery

local tour operator in batangas

Most tourists assume that Fantasy World is located in Tagaytay because of the close proximity, higher elevation and the backdrop of the rolling hills, but it is, in fact, in the fringes of the municipality of Lemery in Batangas.

It was supposed to be a magnificent theme park poised to rival Disneyland, but the construction was halted. Today, it remains unfinished but not abandoned. It is operational as a photo spot destination, perfect for those whose flights of fancy are filled with either fairy tales or grim (or Grimm) aesthetics. It is also a popular prenuptial shoot location.

The park and some of the rides, which are not operational, will make you yearn for something that is almost within your grasp but is unattainable. Despite the lack of action, the whole place is still Instagram-worthy. It was also the filming location for movies ( Fantastica , Got 2 Believe ) and TV shows ( Majika ).

The highlight of the park is the towering castle, which was the centerpiece of the plan. If you are not afraid of heights, you can climb to the top of the main tower and admire the view of the park and the surrounding areas.

Opening Hours: As of writing, the management doesn’t allow tourists inside the premises anymore. Some visitors just take photos in front of the gate or from a viewpoint along the road. But in the past, the opening schedule was 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Entrance Fee: Presently, it is CLOSED to the public until further notice. The entrance fee used to be P100 per person. Getting There: Ride a jeepney or bus from Olivarez/Rotonda to Boundary (Cavite-Batangas boundary). The fare for the jeepney is P25 and for the bus, P39. From the boundary, ride a jeepney bound for Lemery but tell the driver to drop you off at the side of the road leading to the Fantasy World entrance. The fare is P18. You can also charter a tricycle for a special trip, but the rate is steep — P200 per ride.

✅ MORE INFO: FANTASY WORLD TRAVEL GUIDE!

Lemery also has beach resorts but don’t expect to see white sand. The municipality’s coast is strewn primarily with black volcanic ash. These beach resorts are also a bit far from Fantasy World, which is perched up in the mountains.

10. Views of Taal Volcano

local tour operator in batangas

As the centerpiece of Taal Lake, it is also described as an island (Volcano Island) within a lake (Taal Lake) within an island (Luzon main island). It is certainly scenic and just watching it from afar can be calming, but don’t underestimate its power. It’s very, very active and has the nastiest fiery mouth.

Before the 2020 eruption, the Volcano Island is accessible to tourists who wish to get to the edge of the crater and marvel at this small but mighty nature’s wonder. While you can admire it from Tagaytay, you can go to Talisay to get closer to Taal Lake.

You don’t need to check in to a ridge-perched hotel to have a good look at the lake and volcano. Go cliff jumping, trek to the lighthouse, take lots of photos, do snorkeling, and even go scuba diving. Have fun under the sun while exploring the whole island. If you are swimming, there are two areas where you can swim — the shallow but rough waters (beach) and the calm but deep waters (cliff-diving area).

15. Matabungkay, Lian

local tour operator in batangas

Matabungkay may sound “old school” now, but it became well-known for a reason. This strip along the coast of Lian has attracted tourists since the 1950s. In its heyday, it was one of the prettiest, most easily accessible beaches from Manila.

Today, of course, a lot has changed. Other beaches have been “discovered” over the years, pushing Matabungkay to the back seat. But although Matabungkay isn’t as popular as the other Batangan beaches, it remains a go-to place for family outings and group excursions among local tourists.

The long stretch of ash-colored sand is lined with resorts, stores, and houses. But its most striking feature is the dozens of iconic floating bamboo raft cottages.

16. Mt. Maculot

local tour operator in batangas

Maculot in Cuenca is another favorite hiking destination near Manila. Rising over 900 meters asl, Maculot will test your endurance with its steep assaults and rocky features. Aside from the spacious campsite, the other major draws are the summit and the “Rockies”, which both present a picturesque view of Taal Lake, the surrounding towns, and the lush forest.

Take extra precaution when going to the Rockies for photo ops because the wind can get too strong. Crouch or scramble low if you must. Always prioritize safety more than anything else.

If you don’t have a car, Klook is offering a private Maculot day hike tour which covers round-trip transfers from McDonald’s El Pueblo, Ortigas to Mount Maculot, a guide, snacks, and registration fee.

17. Mt. Batulao & Mt. Talamitam

local tour operator in batangas

Mount Batulao is another famous peak, thanks to its proximity to Manila. This is one of the most scenic hiking destinations that are easily accessible, just a bus ride away, from the capital. The jump-off point, KC Hillcrest (Evercrest), is located close to the border of Batangas and Cavite.

Much of the trail has easy slopes and the assaults are not too steep, save for the ridgeline near the summit, so Batulao is generally recommended for beginners.

What makes the hike challenging is its bareness, with grasslands covering much of the surface. During the summer months, the hike might be difficult because of the lack of shade. But the trail is punctuated by several rest spots.

You and your companions can book a private day hike tour through Klook if no one in your group knows how to drive. The package is inclusive of the private hike, round trip transportation between McDonald’s El Pueblo and Mount Batulao, registration fee, snacks, and a guide.

Neighboring Mount Talamitam might be shorter than Batulao but the hike involves more assault and steeper climb, especially near the summit. You can forgo taking the almost vertical climb to the summit by opting to go for the winding but longer trail, which is usually taken when descending the mountain. The new jump-off point is at Barangay Kayrilaw. Some hikers do a twin hike of Mount Batulao and Mount Talamitam.

18. Taal Lake Yacht Club

local tour operator in batangas

The Taal Lake Yacht Club sounds fancy and intimidating but it welcomes day tour visitors. Docked on the northern shore of Taal Lake, it can be conveniently reached from Tagaytay via Tagaytay-Calamba road and Ligaya Drive. Prior to the 2020 Taal Volcano eruption, the resort was best known for its volcano trek tour packages.

If such tours are no longer available, you can still enjoy water-related activities like sailing and kayaking. They also rent out Hobie catamaran units. It also allows day trip camping and offers tent rental. But if you have your own tent, you can bring it and just pay for the camping site or tent-pitching fee. It also permits photoshoots — non-commercial and commercial.

Opening Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Daily). The schedule may change without prior notice. Please check the official website or FB page for schedule updates. Entrance Fee (Non-Members): P300/head Rates: P100/day (Camp Site); P500/day (4-Man Tent Rental + P1000 Deposit Fee); P400/day (hut rental, good for 10 pax); P300-350/head (Non-Commercial Shoot); P5000 Royalty Fee + P300-350/head (Commercial Shoot) Contact Details: For corporate events, photoshoots, and other queries, you may contact the management at 0917 838 3726, 0917 123 1403, the official website, and the official Facebook page. Getting There: The most recommended, convenient, and fastest way is via private car. Just take the Tagaytay-Calamba Road and then turn right to Ligaya Drive. Use Google Maps or Waze. The travel time from Tagaytay to TLYC is about 15 minutes.

20. Santo Tomas

local tour operator in batangas

It’s easy to dismiss Santo Tomas as simply a collection of industrial parks, subdivisions, and farmlands, but it also has a lot to offer to curious visitors.

Santo Tomas takes pride in gifting our motherland with one of its most prominent historical figures — Miguel Malvar , known as the last Filipino general to surrender to the Americans during the Philippine-American War. The Municipal Hall is fronted by the commanding Miguel Malvar Shrine and Monument , which pays tribute to the homegrown hero. Housed in an adjacent building is the Malvar Library and Museum , which offers a glimpse into the life and legacy of the revolutionary general.

Another key attraction in Santo Tomas is the National Shrine of Saint Padre Pio, which draws in thousands of visitors — mostly pilgrims and devotees. The shrine complex is also composed of a circular main church, the bell tower, and the Sanctuary of the Relics of St. Padre Pio, just to mention a few.

Monte Maria is not just a shrine but an international pilgrimage and conference center built in honor of the Virgin Mary. Formally known as Montemaria International Pilgrimage and Conference Center, the complex spans 8 hectares and is situated 20 kilometers outside of Batangas City.

Monte Maria is one of the top Batangas tourist spots because of its uniqueness. It is meant to be both a religious and tourism site. Although devotees and pilgrims are attracted to it, Monte Maria caters to regular tourists as well.

The main landmark of the center is the Virgin Mary Shrine, officially named Mother of All Asia-Tower of Peace. At over 98 meters, this tower is considered one of the tallest Virgin Mary statues in the world. It sits on the top of a plateau, about 148 meters above sea level. Caleruega Church is one of the most famous churches in Batangas. This property is perched on the highest hill of Nasugbu Town. Caleruega is named after a Spanish municipality.

Caleruega Church has beautiful architecture and a tranquil natural environment that makes it ideal for religious activities and spiritual retreats. In fact, it has become a well-known wedding venue.

Caleruega is not just a church but a retreat center surrounded by lush scenery. Its main building is called the Transfiguration Chapel. This chapel has a nice colonial design and a peaceful ambiance. This is the most photographed part of the property and where most couples choose to wed.

  • Book a Caleruega Church tour and explore other Tagaytay and Batangas attractions

Aside from the main building, you can visit the other interesting sections of the complex during your visit. Some of these are the Fountain Compass, the Tent Chapel of Transfiguration, St. Dominic’s Point, Kampo Terraces and Amphitheater, and the Dominicum’s grand stairway. Caleruega’s outdoor area also features a koi pond, a Japanese garden, plant nursery, a worm farm, a hanging bridge, and various walkways.

One of the buildings in Fantasy World, Batangas

Fantasy World was meant to be the Philippine version of Disneyland. It’s supposed to be the largest and grandest theme park in the country. However, this ambitious project has remained unfinished. Fantasy World has never opened as a theme park. According to local stories and rumors, the Japanese owner had financial problems and, therefore, stopped the construction years ago.

Despite being a failed project, Fantasy World is still a favorite Batangas tourist spot and a frequent filming location. Its large fairytale castle, medieval-themed structures, and sad story have managed to attract many tourists.

  • Book a Fantasy World tour to explore this Disneyland-like attraction

You can still access Fantasy World if you pay the minimal entrance fee. But it’s not a functional theme park, so there are no rides or shows. With its intact medieval architecture and lush surroundings, Fantasy World is still very scenic.

While here, you can walk around, enter the fairytale-like buildings and take photos. One popular spot in the abandoned park is the hanging bridge connected to two treehouses. You can climb to the top of the treehouses and enjoy the views of Batangas, including the Taal Volcano.

Fantasy World is located along Diokno Highway in Lemery, Batangas. A local homeowners association is managing and operating the property.

Facade of the Taal Basilica in Batangas

Taal Basilica was reconstructed several times in the 19th century. Its Baroque appearance today is attributed to architect Luciano Oliver, who redesigned the church in 1856.

The church’s main draws are its silver tabernacle and facade, which is comparable to the one at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Taal Basilica’s 26 classical columns at the entrance are indeed an impressive sight!

Taal Basilica is a popular wedding site and a favorite destination of devotees during the Catholic Lenten season.

When you enter, the basilica’s altar size will immediately impress you. This altar is 10 meters wide, 24 meters high, and lined with Doric columns with a Jesus Christ statue at the center.

Taal Basilica is the main building in Taal Park, which has other notable landmarks like the Rizal College and the Escuela Pia: Taal Heritage Center.

What training or studies are needed to work in a travel agency.

Before we delve into the different courses that allow you to work in a travel agency, let's start by highlighting the fact that no diploma is required if you want to open your own agency or work in one. In fact, since 2015, it is no longer mandatory to have a BTS in tourism or a similar degree to create your own travel agency. You can therefore practice without a diploma, however skills and experience remain key elements for success. Let's not fool ourselves, creating this type of company, or even just working in it, is not within reach of those who are not passionate about the subject of travel and foreign cultures, and furthermore, it is never too late to train and learn. If you have no diploma to help you, but you want to change your career to become a travel agent for example, know that it will be possible to train yourself via your "Compte Personnel de Formation" (CPF). Inquire with Pôle Emploi to find out where your account stands and how much you have to train yourself. After having said all this, let's now take a look at the courses that are most often favored before entering the world of work in a travel agency. After high school: 2 years to obtain a BTS in tourism or operational commercial management; 3 years for the BUT (Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie) in commercialization techniques. Specialized schools also offer bachelor's degrees. After a two-year degree: - BTS in operational commercial management - BTS in tourism - Salesperson in business travel and tourism After a three-year degree: - BUT in commercialization techniques - Professional license in tourism professions: commercialization of tourism products - Professional license in tourism and leisure professions After a five-year degree: - Master of Science in Tourism and Destination Management

What is the scope of intervention of a professional?

On a daily basis, the activities of a travel agent are diverse and varied, so much so that the professional will rarely have time to get bored during their days, provided their agency is running properly. These tasks can be very different from one company to another. However, to give you a more precise idea of what to expect when practicing this profession, we will summarize for you all the main functions, as well as the most common, for which a travel agent is responsible: - To start, they must of course be familiar with their agency's tourist offerings in order to inform their customers and be able to illustrate their point with detailed information if necessary. - They must also be able to welcome customers in person or over the phone, with the appropriate tone, voice and warmth. - They must also respond to requests for quotes or information by email, which is an administrative task that takes a lot of time and requires organization and rigor at all times. - They must also select tourism products according to the customer's request, then present their characteristics in a constructive and, if possible, argumentative way (the strengths, the prices). - They must also advise the client on the different products (transportation, services), make the reservation, and then establish the contractual documents necessary for the commercial exchange. - They must also check travel documents in advance so that the traveler does not encounter any unpleasant surprises during their trip. - They must also establish the terms of settlement of a dispute or pass it on to legal or litigation services. - They must also provide information for monitoring activity supports so that the agency can have an overall view of its activity and its evolution over time. - They must organize the display of the sales space, with a certain marketing spirit. - Finally, they must perform sales promotion operations, especially during periods specifically conducive to this.

Why use a professional?

The idea of traveling is often a source of anxiety for those who are preparing for it, as there are many things to consider so that the trip goes smoothly and without any hiccups. In this section, we will specifically discuss the main reasons why you should consider using a travel agency or at least a professional in the sector to organize your trip. Preparing for a trip, even one of just a few days, is not easy. Certainly, a lot of information is available on the internet, but compiling it all to organize your future trip takes a lot of time. First, let's realize that going through a travel agency will allow you to save a lot of time. No need to spend several hours searching for the right flight or finding a hotel to sleep in, finding a rental car, etc. Calling on a professional means giving yourself more time to devote to other things that could also, why not, optimize your trip. Then, entrusting the organization of your trip to a provider means trusting the experience and know-how of a professional who has the required skills to organize a trip that meets your expectations and advise you properly, both in terms of tourism, legal, or even geographical aspects. Calling on a professional, contrary to what one might think, often turns out to be less expensive in the end than organizing everything yourself. Indeed, thanks to their relations with suppliers, the professional is likely to find very good deals for you and offer unbeatable prices, for example for flights, but also for accommodations. It is precisely the addition of all this that will allow you to save money. To conclude this section, we would like to emphasize that for each of us, safety and assurance during the trip are two essential things, regardless of the final destination. Thanks to their total mastery of the travel world, a travel professional will be committed to ensuring your safety throughout your stay. Furthermore, you will benefit from after-sales service and, in the event of an unforeseen circumstance (whether it be a canceled flight, an airline strike, or other), you can obtain assistance simply by contacting your travel agent, who will then take care of finding a solution to your problem.

When should you call a professional?

There isn't really a rule about this, as long as you don't wait until the last minute. Consider that the sooner, the better, so planning a trip to the other side of the world cannot be done overnight. The agent has to find a flight, accommodation options at the destination, and a whole bunch of other services that you might want to take advantage of once you're there. It is therefore better to start planning at least a few weeks or months in advance. This will also allow you to benefit from better prices, which is not insignificant. Note, however, that some agencies specify a maximum anticipation date, meaning that, for example, it will not be possible to book a flight or even a hotel 2 or 3 years in advance... but this is natural and almost goes without saying.

How to find a professional to organize your trip?

No matter where you are or where you want to go, finding this type of service is relatively easy, as long as you don't live in a too remote area. Whether you live in Batangas City downtown or in the deepest countryside, start by asking your acquaintances and loved ones, although it must be acknowledged that word-of-mouth is not necessarily the most effective way to find the rare gem (but you never know...). If you live in a very remote area, in the middle of the countryside, not finding a travel agency nearby (within 20 or 30 kilometers) should not stop you or discourage you; be sure that you will find an agency in the nearest medium or large city! In any case, rest assured that the right professional, once contacted, will be more than willing to make your life easier, and if necessary, subsequent exchanges can be done through emails or phone calls. If word-of-mouth yields nothing, which is very possible, then it is recommended to use the internet, by consulting a site like StarOfService, for example, which lists all professionals in a certain field, based on where you're conducting the search. In just a few clicks, the site will provide you with the contact details of the said professional and you can contact them right away, and this also applies to travel agents. From there, you are free to shop around or simply choose the one closest to your home, it is no longer our concern...

How much does a travel agency service cost?

The rates that we are going to indicate here are not contractual, but simply average values obtained throughout the French territory. Each agency has its own way of billing, so we cannot recommend enough that you ask for the details of the services from the relevant agent. Only then can you have a precise idea of what you are paying for. Having said that, let's now move on to the pricing, which, while not to be taken as exact figures, will still give you an idea of the prices practiced on the market. In general, it should be noted that the majority of a travel agency's income comes from commissions paid by the various suppliers involved during the stay; these are percentages that are taken from each sale made. Generally, the agent on average takes between 8% and 10% of the public price for a plane ticket sold; regarding other services, the percentage is between 9 and 15% of the public price. Consulting fees, act and reservation fees are also sources of income for a travel agency, but it is up to each brand to quantify its services. Therefore, you will have to ask the question or inquire when the time comes.

How to choose the right travel agent or agency?

No matter where you are or live, whether in a particular city, region or department, finding this type of professional is relatively simple, based on studies on the subject. So whether you live in the inner city of Batangas City or in the depths of the countryside in Moselle or Gironde, we advise you to start by asking around among your acquaintances and friends, as word of mouth is always a good way to find the right address for such things (we all know people who have traveled through a particular agency, so let's start by looking in that direction...). If this first search yields no results, it is then possible to use the Internet, as it is the most common way to purchase travel services, not physical agencies. Once online, no matter which search engine is used, we suggest consulting a site like StarOfService, for example, which lists all professionals in a particular field, depending on the location of the search and where you live. In just a few clicks, the site will provide you with the contact details of the professional and you can contact them within minutes to inquire about their availability, rates, etc. Don't hesitate to consult a large number of customer reviews and comments, as they are essential information for getting an idea of the level of service provided by the agent or agency in question.

Here are some questions to ask a travel professional during your first meeting:

- How long have you been practicing this profession? What training or diploma do you possess to carry out this activity? - What are your rates? Can I have a detailed breakdown of them? - Will you provide me with a proper quote prior to starting the work? - What are your availability to discuss my travel project? - Can you guarantee the respect of deadlines and rates that we agree upon?

Being one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines, Taal Volcano still made it to the list of places to visit in Batangas . It is popular both for local and foreign tourists.

People love going there not only because of its scenic view, but they also want to do the activities that would bring them closer to the mountain. In Taal Volcano, you can go horseback riding, boating across the volcano island, and of course, climbing to the crater of the lake. The volcano is only 311 m (1,020 ft) climbing is not challenging at all. Plus, you can also swim at the lake but only for a limited time.

It is not so hard to understand why this active volcano is one of the tourist spots in Batangas. What’s difficult to understand is why are you still hesitating to go here? Don’t think too much, go ahead and visit this gorgeous mountain.

2. Monte Maria Shrine

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot1

A center that’s dedicated to Maria, Mother of All Asia. When you visit Monte Maria, you’ll witness the statue of the Virgin Mary that’s 98-meter tall. It was made to symbolize the Unity and Peace of the People. This statue is becoming popular with tourists and we can see why.

Monte Maria is very accessible. It is just 30-45 minutes away from Batangas City. You can either travel by road or by sea to visit it. Upon going there, you’ll be welcomed by a magnificent view of the sea. You can even have a glimpse of Verde Island Passage and Batangas Bay.

You will also find a chapel and a restaurant within the property. Even if you’re not a devotee or a pilgrim, everyone is welcome here.

3. Mt. Maculot

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot2

If you ask Filipino hikers, climbers, or mountaineers about Mt. Maculot, they’d probably know a lot about this mountain. Mt. Maculot is one of the most popular mountains in Batangas and the Philippines.

The hike in Mt. Maculot is considered one of the most challenging. You’d encounter steep steps and rocks. Some trails are also rocky which requires you to exert some effort to be able to pass through them. Unfortunately, one cannot hike Mt. Maculot alone anymore, as of November 2015, guides are now required. You have to pay at least PHP 400 ($8) for 1-5 persons for the guide.

It might be challenging to get to the summit of Mt. Maculot, but the views after that are very rewarding .

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot5

Laiya surely has the best beach resorts in town! Batangas as a whole is known for its beaches and resorts, and Laiya is the place that has most of the popular ones.

Offering not only a productive and exciting vacation but Laiya’s beach resorts also feature cheap to high-end accommodation. Of course, who wouldn’t want to have a relaxing night after a day at the beach going swimming, scuba diving, or tanning? Laiya would surely satisfy your needs in any way possible.

Some of the most popular beach resorts near Laiya are Acuatico Beach Resort & Hotel and you can take a ferry and go to the nearby town of Puerto Galera and stay at Atlantis Dive Resort Puerto Galera it’s not surprising as these two have that vacation vibe that we all crave.

Please note that these beach resorts are not necessarily located within Laiya, but they’re being marketed as a Laiya beach resorts. They’re mostly located just near the place.

8. Verde Island / Isla Verde

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot7

If you want to reward yourself for your hard work or for everything fulfilling that you did, you should go to Isla Verde as a prize yourself. On this island in Batangas, although located just an hour away from the city, you won’t see any touch of modernity. And that is what makes it special. Going there is like an escape from the busy and occupied society.

10. Fantasy World

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot9

It may sound creepy but this place is an abandoned amusement park. And yes, it’s a popular tourist spot in Batangas as well. But why? Simply because Fantasy World is a paradise indeed for those who want to experience a Disney-like adventure. Inside, you’ll find a very beautiful and colorful castle that would make you feel like a royal walking around it through a stunning garden.

But why was it abandoned? This supposed-to-be amusement park was built in 2001 with the aim to rival Disney land. However, it was not completed due to financial problems. But that doesn’t stop people from going here because of the beautiful surroundings and positive energy it brings.

Although no rides or attractions are working, the Fantasy World remains a popular destination for those who love photography. The whole area is very picturesque that photographers would love to wander around here.

11. Calatagan

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot10

Another municipality in Batangas has tons of lovely beach resorts. Calatagan is now getting popular as a location for company outings and weekend getaways in the Philippines due to the availability of beaches in the area.

If ever you’re in Batangas, you might want to include this in your itinerary. Unlike, Anilao and Laiya, Calatagan is less crowded. However, its beach resorts can rival those that are found in the two municipalities that I just mentioned.

Suggested Tour: Stilts Calatagan Day Tour

12. Saint P a dre Pio Parish and Shrine

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot11

A sacred place for people seeking peace of mind and tranquility. Saint Padre Pio Parish and Shrine in Batangas is also a place for pilgrims and devotees. It is also a popular church to go to during “Visita Iglesia” during the Holy Week season.

It doesn’t require visiting the church for a long time, you only need a couple of hours or maybe a minute to enjoy the calmness of the shrine. An ideal place to reflect and meditate. One can surely leave the church feeling fulfilled and peaceful.

13. Mountain of Salvation

This is where the said apparition of the Blessed Mother of Love, Peace, and Joy occurred. A lot of people claimed that going here would be a unique and sacred experience because of the different kinds of feeling it brings.

Because of the said apparition of Mother Mary, the Mountain of Salvation became popular among devotees. The road to the Mountain is steep, some pilgrims got lost on their way to the mountain even though they have complete directions. People say it’s because of the mystical atmosphere that the place has. For a Catholic country like the Philippines, it is not surprising that this holy place is the talk of the town for how many years now.

14. Chapel on the Hill, Don Bosco Batulao

This is a popular wedding venue in Batangas. The view from the chapel is magnificent! Given the fact that it’s located on a hill, the surroundings are all very picturesque. The chapel itself is magnificent and serene. Being one of the popular wedding destinations, newlyweds or the visitors would both enjoy every moment spent here.

But of course, you can still go to this place even though no wedding is being held. The solemnity of the whole area is enough to enjoy a short visit to the chapel. Bring your family or friends here for a peaceful day.

15. Aquaria Water Park

15 Places to visit in Batangas Batangas Tourist Spot12

Located in Calatagan, Aquaria Water Park is perfect for a family getaway. With great slides and a beautiful beach, kids and adults would surely love this place. In this park, people can enjoy island hopping, jet ski ride, snorkeling, and a huge swimming pool. The slides are also big enough that swimming would never be the same.

You can also enjoy the best sunset view on the beach after a tiring and exciting day swimming. Indeed, Aquaria Water park is for people of all ages. For people who seek a day off far from the city.

I just finished my tour and it’s been absolutely amazing from beginning to end. We were really well taken care of by our group leader Andri making sure everyone was safe and seen while being a good friend along the way. He truly made the experience memorable. The itinerary was excellent and everyday was filled with something exciting. One of the best experiences of my life. 10/10
This was one of the best trips I've done. The itinerary was the perfect mix of activities and down time & I felt, hit the key places I'd travel to if doing it fully solo. Whilst the tour itself and the people I met on it were a big part of me having the best time, it wouldn't have been the same without our tour leader Andri. He helped join the group together before we even started and made everyone feel included once we got there. He was the best mix of chilled and reliable, super knowledgeable and put the needs of the group first like the wonderfully caring human he is. We always knew what we were doing and when and it felt like he made the trip run so smoothly - I only had to worry about turning up and having a good time. If you're thinking about booking this DO IT (and pray you'll have Andri has your leader)

This was such a fun trip! Philippines is such a beautiful country and friendly people. The food is diverse, delicious and very affordable. The canyoneering in Cebu was incredible. Swimming with whale sharks was magical. All the beaches we visited were all beautiful. I can't wait to go back!
This is a review of the 10 Day Philippine Tour. Strengths (1) The tour did a good job in visiting the best travel sites in the Philippines. (2) The hotels used were very good. Nice rooms with hot water, good bathrooms, and comfortable beds. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Weakness (1) CPTH (tour provider) serves as your "travel agent" that books you on numerous independent vendor tours and airport transportation companies. All communication is through whatsapp (communication app). This means: If the independent vendor is good, you have a great time. If the independent vendor is bad, you have a poor time. *** For the most part, the independent vendors did a good job. However, we had some really poor vendors as well. *** For example, for the whale watching activity (The jewel of the trip -- and yes it was the best part of the trip). We were told to be ready at 2AM for an earlier morning pickup. We were ready, but the independent agency "forgot" to pick us up. So, we sat outside the hotel from 1:45 AM to 3:15 AM, all the time sending urgent pleas to CPTH to request the driver/guide pick us up. CPTH did answer your whatapps request for help and they did work to get their independent vendors to come and get us. We started our "best day" stressed sitting with the hotel security guard, worried you will miss the whale shark experience, one of the main reasons for selecting the tour package. I am thankful CPTH did come through at the end and got someone to take us to the whale sharks. Overall the transportation companies (airport to hotel, or hotel to hotel (El Nido) were ok. Keep in mind they will pack the max number of people and luggage in an most cases (More people = more money for driver/company). However, the trip to El Nido was completely unsatisfactory and dangerous. The bus driver even created a small extra wooden seat to jam in the small aisle. The bus that had a limit of 12 passengers, but was carrying 15 people at a time. A terrible long 5-6 hour trip from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. was extended to 8-9 hours, because the driver often pulled over at gas station or bus stops to take extra passengers on for shorter trips for extra cash. Overcrowding the small van was a significant safety issue as well. The van had a tire blowout on the trip. We could not even get out of the van, we were trapped in the back seats with the fake wooden seat blocking the way out of the van. Fortunately, when the tire blew out the driver was able to safely stop the van without crashing. Overall, very poor day. At first CPTH dismissed our review of the experience, until I sent photos. (Be sure to take photos of everything, if you want to be believed). The main weakness of the "10 day Philippines tour" is the overall structure of the 10 day tour. Too many all day travel days. I present a solution to CPTH below. The setup for the tour is generally 1 fun day at the target location and 1 travel day. (Travel Day: Arrive at airport 2-3 hours before flight, 1 hour flight, 1-2 hour airport transportation to new hotel. Every airplane in the Philippines was 2 or more hours late during our tour). So, travel days basically mean 7-8 hours are wasted in travel. COMMENT TO CPTH: To significantly improve this tour Skip Puerto Princesa. Fly directly to El Nido from Cebu. The 2 days used in Puerto Princesa could be added to El Nido. (The underground river activity is about the same distance from El Nido as it is from Puerto Princesa). The drive from Puerto Princesa to El Nido is a terrible experience (long, boring, crowded) that can be easily avoided. Comments about locations: Boracay - Excellent beaches, snorkeling, fun places to visit, numerous dining location (Might have been nice to stay longer at this location) Cebu - Large City (Magellan Sites and the Old Fort). Cebu itself is not worth the visit. HOWEVER, it is necessary to visit the Whalesharks in Oslob. The whale shark experience is the jewel of this tour package. It truly was an awesome experience. You will snorkel and maybe even get touched by a whaleshark. We did. After the whale shark experience you visit a private island resort (Sumilon Island) with amazing food (include free with tour)) and an excellent snorkeling beach and fancy swimming pools. This was our best day in Philippines. Puerto Princesa - This location can be skipped. Big City. El Nido - It is famous for its island Hopping Tours. There are 4 daily tours (A, B, C, D). A and C are the best tours for people that like to snorkel. This tour gives you 1 day of island hopping and 1 free day. We ended up doing Tours A and D. (Tour C was cancelled due to bad weather, a monsoon was in the area). The tourist area is small and can be walked, no transportation is needed. If you are tired of the water, El Nido also has a nice hanging bridge and mountain walk activity (take about 90 minutes). It was very nice.

Excellent tour and Ellise our guide was simply outstanding.
Ian, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and made sure everything was running on time. We had some disruption to our water activities due to high waves in Palawan, but Ian and Michael pivoted the activities so they were still fun and engaging. I booked the tour to just relax and let someone else do the planning for me and it worked wonderfully. Would book again with Intrepid.

This tour was by far one of the most amazing experiences of my life. This was my first time travelling to a Southeast Asian country by myself but I felt safe and welcomed the entire time. I enjoyed observing beautiful rice terraces, meeting friendly village people, and learning lots about Ifugao culture from my tour guide. The opportunity to stay in a guest house in one of the small villages gave me the chance to truly appreciate the simplistic life of the village people. My tour guide, Marvin Bunaton was a wonderful guide to have. He gave me lots of valuable information about Ifugao culture and made sure I was safe the entire time. I am very lucky to have had him as a tour guide. I recommend this trip to everyone who loves hiking and beautiful sceneries! If I ever come back to the Philippines, I will bring my loved ones and do this tour all over again!
Although my trek was very challenging, I enjoyed every bit of it. My tour guide Jonathan was an amazing companion throughout my tour making me feel at home. Would definitely recommend it this tour of Banaue, Batad etc

The guide deserves a 10.
The trip was well worth it. All of the sights were beautiful and worth the long bus trips to and from Sagada and Banaue. It was a small group tour was only two couples. Fred was great as a tour guide. The Kamayan feast was very memorable and tasty at Bangaan on the last day. One of the best tours we’ve ever been on. Would definitely recommend it.

Amazing!! Support and guide made it seemless
Warning! Do not book! Communication with them is nearly impossible! I booked this “independent tour” 7 months before travel. They had no problem communicating and answering questions before they got paid. When I had no itinerary or vouchers one week before my international travel I contacted them to which I was told I’d have everything within the next day. Then I was ghosted for five days. Not a single word back after reaching out EVERYDAY for 5 days! I ended up getting TourRadar involved and received my vouchers for travel and itinerary 24 hours before my flight.

Ronnie, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. Always available and attentive to our needs. He went above and beyond to ensure that the group felt comfortable and his attention to detail was next to none and even by going that extra mile to ensue we tasted the local delicacies. Would highly recommend this tour and hopefully you will have the extra perk of having Ronnie as your guide. Some parts of the itinerary had to be changed but the back-up plan suited everyone and was very enjoyable.
The tour was great, we really enjoyed it, and the tour guide Rupert was amazing
