Mitski Announces Intimate ‘Amateur Mistake’ Shows in Support of New Album

Mitski will play a handful of North American shows this month to mark the release of her new album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We , out Sept. 15.

The singer-songwriter has announced four “Amateur Mistake” shows, starting Sept. 11 at the Teatro de la Ciudad in Mexico City. She’ll then play the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Sept. 20, Town Hall in New York City on Sept. 26, and Trinity Church in Toronto on Sept. 29. (A run of previously-announced shows in the U.K. and Europe will follow in October.)

The “Amateur Mistake” shows will find Mitski playing a solo acoustic set. She’ll be joined in Mexico City by Joaquina Mertz, while Shana Cleveland will open in Los Angeles, and Mary Lattimore will provide support in NYC and Toronto.

Quite literally worth every cent of my money and moment of my time. Venue was very easy to get into, suprisingly well air-conditioned even with the close quarters of the crowd, and Mitski was simply phenomenal. The storytelling presented through the songs and her interpretive performance, especially with how often she was moving around the stage or on the tables, was mind blowing and made it easy to see her despite the countless other individuals in front me. Plus the band livr gave such a good sound to her already stunning discography, I suggest seeing her if you get the chance!

She is truly stunning. Her voice is crazy beautiful live and recorded, and her expressions on stage are beautiful. Such a well done show, would see her again in a heartbeat. Her openers The Overcoats were also stunning. They created so much energy with their set; I would also see them again.

Mitski announces 2024 UK and European tour

The dates include three nights at London’s Eventim Apollo

Mitski has shared details of an upcoming tour of the UK and Europe in 2024 – find ticket details below.

The new live shows come in support of the American artist’s latest album ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We’ . Released via Dead Oceans, the LP marks her seventh studio album and hears the singer return to more analogue and organic roots.

Since the release Mitski has gone on to play various acoustic performances of the record in cities across North America, the UK and Europe. However, this will be the first time that she has gone on a full band tour to celebrate the album in the UK and EU.

Kicking off in spring next year, the run of dates will start with two back-to-back shows at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh on April 27 and 28. From there she will continue the UK and Ireland dates with two stops at Manchester’s O2 Apollo (May 1-2), one at the 3Arena in Dublin (May 4) and one at The Civic At The Halls in Wolverhampton (May 6).

She will wrap up the UK dates with three back-to-back nights at the Eventim Apollo in London. These will run between May 8 and May 10 and will mark Mitski’s biggest headline shows in the UK to date.

The EU dates start in Brussels on May 14 and wrap at the end of the month with a gig at Theatre 11 in Zurich. The dates include stops in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and Frankfurt and feature support from Richard Dawson, Miya Folick and Iceage .

Mitski’s UK and European tour dates will follow on the heels of her recently announced US tour . These will take place earlier in the year, running between January and April. All tickets for US shows are currently sold out.

In a four-star review of ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We’ last month NME praised the musician for her ability to capture “such tragic solitude”, alongside feelings of “sudden comfort and presence”.

“The crux of the album is the dance shared between great grief and great joy; communicated through Mitski’s instrumental choices, both are unflattened and bare,” it read.

“The album paints a landscape that is shaped entirely by these poles — they bring about apocalyptic destruction then birth new life; they exist because of each other, or are one and the same.”

More recently, the singer received a five-star review last week for her intimate acoustic show at London’s Union Chapel.

“The space is resplendent in Gothic frescoes and vaulted ceilings: ideal both acoustically and aesthetically for what will be a mesmerising sermon,” it read.

“Contrary to the artist’s often histrionic performances, this is a remarkably spare show, and all the more striking for it… the enunciated clarity of Mitski’s voice is startlingly and consistently evident for the duration of the hour-long performance.”

Coldplay tour 2025 announced with UK stadium dates - how to get tickets and pre-sale

They had been teasing an announcement, and the first set of uk tour dates for 2025 have been revealed.

Coldplay have announced eight huge stadium gigs in the UK for 2025. Fans had been anticipating a gig announcement after cryptic messages from the band were left on trains across the UK this week.

Now, it has been confirmed that the band will bring their huge world tour back to home turf in the UK next August. Gigs announced today are at Hull's Craven Park and London's Wembley Stadium.

The new dates will see the band continue the mammoth Music of the Spheres World Tour which first began back in 2021. The band head to the final dates of the 2024 tour in October and November to Australia and New Zealand.

Coldplay announced the news on Tuesday morning. They say the dates will be the ONLY European cities they will play in 2025.

They have also announced that 10% of the band's proceeds from the UK shows will be donated to the Music Venue Trust to support grassroots venues and new music.

The band have also confirmed that the Wembley concerts' production will be powered with 100% solar, wind and kinetic energy. There is set to be a huge clamour for tickets for the shows when they go on general sale on Friday.

The band last played in Manchester at a series of huge Etihad shows in 2023. Hull looks set to be the best shot of seeing the band in the north west in 2025 after the band's statement.

Fans in Liverpool had been praying the band were heading there after a passenger spotted a cryptic message on the Avanti West Coast train from London to Liverpool Lime Street last week.

On a message board, usually displaying train information, it read 'Everyone is an alien somewhere' - a Coldplay concept that has featured in their lyrics and interviews, becoming a familiar line within the band's ethos.

That appears unlikely now that the band have stated the dates announced today will be the ONLY European venues they will head to in 2025.

In March 2015, Zayn Malik left the popular boy band One Direction.

Nine long years and four solo albums later, the 31-year-old singer-songwriter has announced his first-ever solo tour.

From October through December, Zayn will hit 11 locales in North America and the U.K. on the ‘Stairway to the Sky Tour.’

Midway through the brief run, he’ll headline at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday, Nov. 2.

“Appreciate your patience, love, and support,” Zayn shared on Instagram . “Can’t wait to enjoy great music together.”

Prior to the official social media announcement, he crashed Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” monologue . While Fallon was talking, Zayn popped onstage with a mug in hand, waved to the crowd, played his song “Stadust” on the host’s MacBook, handed him a note and disappeared without having said a word.

Once he was gone, Fallon turned off the music and grabbed the letter.

“Hey Jimmy,” it read. “Great to see you, mate. I’m going on me first ever solo tour this autumn. So maybe when you’re done pickin’ apples with your buds, you can come check out my ‘Stairway to the Sky Tour’ across the U.S. and U.K.’

On May 17, Zayn dropped his fourth studio album “Room Under The Stairs.”

Over the course of 15 mellow tracks, Malik delivers laid-back, sensitive folk-pop-rock that wouldn’t sound out of place in your neighborhood’s hippest coffee shop. Think Goo Goo Dolls meets Michael Kiwanuka with a bit of Hozier mixed in for good measure and you have an idea of the sound on display here.

We are Sergey and Simon, a Russian and a Frenchman, both  passionate about Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and classic cars. Together, we have created Put-in tours. Our goal is to help you experience Russian culture off the beaten path. Join us onboard our classic Soviet van and let’s get rolling!

In Moscow we offer you a city tour to discover most of the city in an original way as well as a night tour to admire the lights. Our pubcrawl is ideal to explore Moscow’s night-life and have fun. If you are craving to discover Russian culture, come impress your senses during our monastery diner or join our 100% Russian Banya Excursion . The latest will also bring you to Sergiyev Posad and it’s famous monastery!

For the most extreme travellers, our shooting tour will deliver your daily dose of adrenaline whereas our tank excursion will let you ride a real tank and shoot a bazooka.

We also offer help to receive your visa , safe and multilingual airport transfers , as well as organisation services for team-building events or bachelor parties .
