- By Larisha Paul

They also announced the release date for their upcoming LP, also named Born Pink . The album arrives on Sept. 16.
The expansive tour will launch on Oct. 15 in Seoul before Blackpink makes their way to Dallas and Houston. November will see the group performing in Atlanta, Hamilton, Chicago, Newark, Los Angeles, and London before making December stops in Barcelona, Cologne, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

Blackpink recently made their musical return with “ Pink Venom ,” their first official single since the release of The Album in 2020. After some time holed up in the studio, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will release their sophomore album ahead of the tour launch, getting back into the flow of stardom.
“I love to perform, but I don’t always enjoy being part of the spotlight,” Jisoo shared in Blackpink’s candid Rolling Stone cover story . “I think it’s different for the other members: They love to receive the spotlight, feeling energized by the people who come to see us, and then getting a bit depressed when the stage is over and silence arrives. I’m a little different. When I’m onstage, I think about not making mistakes. Performing sometimes feels more like a test than something genuinely fun.”

On Monday, the quartet unveiled dates for its Born Pink tour, inspired by its forthcoming album of the same name. Group members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and RosĂŠ will kick things off with a couple of shows in Seoul in October before traveling to the United States, London, Barcelona, Paris and beyond.
According to the itinerary, Blackpink will stop in Los Angeles on Nov. 19, though the venue isnât specified on the actâs website. As of Monday, the K-pop idols are also set to perform in several other cities across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, with more dates to come.

The Born Pink tour announcement comes less than two weeks after Blackpink revealed that its sophomore studio album will debut this fall . The recordâs lead single, âPink Venom,â is due Aug. 19 before the album drops Sept. 16.
âBorn Pinkâ is slated to arrive nearly two years after the groupâs debut LP â simply titled âThe Albumâ â came out in October 2020. In April 2019, the global superstars headlined their first North American concert at Inglewoodâs Forum before performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival later that month.
How you like that? Blackpink is releasing a new album in September
After releasing its forthcoming sophomore album, âBorn Pink,â K-pop supergroup Blackpink is set to launch its world tour in October.
July 31, 2022
During a May interview with Rolling Stone , Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and RosĂŠ spoke about their immediate plans to release and perform new music, as well as what to expect from the group in the distant future.
âI mean, wonât Blackpink last at least 10 more years? Weâll be nearly 40 by then,â Lisa told the music magazine. âSomeday weâll get married and things like that. But then I see the Spice Girls, how they got together for a reunion concert. Can we do that too someday? Will I be able to dance then, like I do now?â
âEven if weâre 70 and we have different lives, Iâll still feel like Iâm Blackpink,â Jennie said. âAs corny as it sounds, I donât think Blackpink will ever end in my heart. Itâs a part of my family. You canât deny your family.â

Blackpinkâs Back: Everything We Know About the Groupâs Upcoming Album, âBorn Pinkâ
A new era for Blinks is upon us.
After a devastating two-year drought, manna has finally arrived for the Blinks: Blackpink is dropping their second studio album in September, followed in October with a world tour.
The announcement, made via teaser on July 31, didnât come as a surprise to most fans, given that the Blackpink membersâJisoo, Jennie, RosĂŠ, and Lisaâhad let slip numerous signs that another album was incoming. A press release shared in early July 2022 by their label, YG Entertainment, announced the group would release new music in August, kicking off âa continuous large-scale project which will extend through the second half of the year.â The accompanying world tour would be the âlargest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.â And after releasing their new promotional track âReady For Loveâ for the battle royale video game PUBG Mobile, Blackpink seemed poised to declare their return to chart dominance.
Since releasing their first full-length album, THE ALBUM , in October 2020, Blackpink has transformed into one of the most globally ascendant musical acts of the last decade. Each of its four members are now celebrities in their own right, festooned with fashion deals: Theyâve each earned luxury brand ambassadorships, with Jisoo signed on at Dior, Jennie at Chanel, RosĂŠ for Yves Saint Laurent, and Lisa with Bulgari and Celine. And while Jennie told ELLE in November 2020 that âfashion definitely empowers us as much as music does,â the groupâs musical career is far from sidelined.
âI feel like Iâm recharging myself,â Jisoo told Rolling Stone in May 2022. âMy life these days is not too busy, because weâre not actively performing yet. I want to come back with music quickly.â Now, the days of waiting are nearly over.
When does the album come out?
Blackpink has announced the official release date for their second album, titled Born Pink: Sept. 16. at 12 a.m. EST.
What songs are on the album? Which will be singles?
âPink Venom,â a pre-release single , dropped on Aug. 19 at 12 a.m. EST .
The group then shared the full track list for the album on Sept. 7.
- âPink Venomâ
- âShut Downâ
- âTypa Girlâ
- âYeah Yeah Yeahâ
- âHard to Loveâ
- âThe Happiest Girlâ
- âReady for Loveâ
It seems producer and OneRepublic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder is involved in other tracks, having revealed to Good Morning America that âI have worked on Blackpink material. I did write with the girls themselves.â
He added, âI genuinely love Blackpink and so I canât tell you what's coming out. I think one or two of my songs have made the album from what Iâve been told. The stuff that I did with them I can just say is very true to their sound. They wrote it so it was very much me just supporting them, their ideas. Itâs cool as hell.â
What about the world tour?
Blackpink initially confirmed the journey will begin in October, following the release of Born Pink. In an online press conference timed to the release of âPink Venom,â Jennie confirmed the group will perform largely new material during the tour. âItâs our first [tour] in a very long time, so weâd like to focus on our originality and include a lot of new songs,â she said.
On August 8, the group revealed the tour will run from October 15, 2022, through June 21, 2023, beginning in Seoul, Korea, before moving onto stops in the United States, Canada, England, France, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, China, Australia, and more. The full list of dates is below:
Oct. 15-16: Seoul Oct. 25: Dallas Oct. 29: Houston Nov. 2: Atlanta Nov. 6-7: Hamilton Nov. 10-11: Chicago Nov. 14-15: Newark Nov. 19: Los Angeles Nov. 30: London Dec. 1: London Dec. 5: Barcelona Dec. 8: Cologne Dec. 11-12: Paris Dec. 18: Berlin Dec. 22: Amsterdam Jan. 7-8: Bangkok Jan. 13-14: Hong Kong Jan. 20: Riyadh Jan. 28: Abu Dhabi March 4: Kuala Lumpur March 11: Jakarta March 18: Kaohsiung March 25: Manila May 13: Singapore June 10-11: Melbourne June 16-17: Sydney June 21: Auckland

In 2016, BLACKPINK took its first steps toward K-pop greatness. Thanks to YG Entertainment, members Kim Jisoo, Jennie Kim, Roseanne Park, and Lalisa Manobal joined together to create what would become one of the most popular girl groups in South Korean music.
BLACKPINKâs talents in hip-hop and dance-pop helped the all-female squad get ahead early.
BLACKPINK kicked things off with its album Square One. Featuring songs âWhistleâ and âBoombayah,â Square One reinvented typical K-pop elements with an edgier trap-style energy. Eventually, this would become BLACKPINKâs signature sound.
âWhistleâ and âBoombayahâ left lasting impressions not only in South Korea, but in the U.S. as well. Following its swift climb up the charts, BLACKPINK released Square Two in late 2016. Square Two was a massive success thanks to the tracks âPlaying with Fireâ and âStay.â Soon enough, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to land on the Canadian music charts.
The groupâs next single âAs If Itâs Your Lastâ hit the airwaves in 2017 and paved the way for a stellar Japanese debut. The groupâs self-titled EP included re-recorded Japanese versions of previous songs. After soaring to the top of Japanâs charts, the group followed up in 2018 with Re:BLACKPINK, a re-release of the EP which included both Korean- and Japanese-language versions of each track.
BLACKPINKâs rise took the ultimate turn with its 2018 EP Square Up. International hit single âDDU-DU DDU-DUâ was the perfect example of high-energy âK-trap.â The songâs accompanying music video became one of the most-watched K-pop videos on YouTube, with over one billion views. It was no surprise the track also landed BLACKPINK a coveted spot on the Billboard Hot 100, a first for any all-female K-pop group.
The bandâs worldwide popularity shifted as they sealed a deal with Interscope/Universal. Later in 2018, a highly-anticipated collaboration alongside popstar and label partner Dua Lipa on âKiss and Make Upâ set BLACKPINK up for more global success. After the song left a memorable mark on the U.S. and U.K. charts, the girl group released another Japanese-language compilation titled BLACKPINK in Your Area.
In 2019, the K-pop quartet expanded its discography with another top-notch EP. Kill This Love set the tone for the bandâs upcoming worldwide debut. BLACKPINKâs next single âHow You Like Thatâ was its seventh track to climb high on the global charts, proving the band was an international force to be reckoned with.
In addition to Dua Lipa, the group worked closely with pop phenoms like Lady Gaga on âSour Candyâ and Selena Gomez on âIce Cream.â By securing these collabs, the K-pop band set the standard for their full-length debut.
Due to long-lasting success, BLACKPINK embarked on numerous tours. A string of arena performances from 2018 to 2020 spanned across the globe and kept the bandâs popularity at an all-time high. Dedicated fans saw the all-female quartet up close and personal as it put on a must-see show.
2020âs The Album was BLACKPINKâs first full-length studio album, with eight high-energy tracks â including âBet You Wanna,â featuring rapper Cardi B. With this collaboration and more dance-pop vibes, The Album cemented next-level acclaim among fans and fellow musicians. The LP took well-deserved top spots in countries like South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S.
BLACKPINKâs sophomore album Born Pink took the world by storm in 2022. No one could deny its power, especially after the release of lead single âPink Venom.â Other favorites like âShut Downâ helped Born Pink set more records for the K-pop genre. In its first week, the LP hit number one in the U.S.
Live reviews
The concert was more than I ever imagined! I love the group, I love the girls, I love the songs and dances!!! The experience was unforgettable beacuse I enjoy listening to their music nonstop and now i saw and heard all songs live! I am so lucky!
But my experience before the concert was a disaster... The thibgs started with the endless queue for merchedinse. I waited for two hours and in the end they told me the lightsticks were sold out? That was so disappointing for me and all people in the queue. Also, yes it was long queue but there were not ever a barricades or anything to keep the lines from queue passing!!! So many people just came and went in the front adn nobody can say anything because they do not have proofe.
Another thing, when the doors opened at 18:30-18:40 nobody entered because the crawd( it was not even a queue) was not even moving a meter! Then the concert started 40mins later because the entering was not orgainsed at all! I am absolutely disappointed by the organisation but at least I tried my best to enjoy the show and one of my favourite groups!
