We were on Sirena 11/19-29/2022 for 10 nights in the E. Caribbean. Loved her and our smallish B2 cabin. So much so, that we're back on Sirena 8/28-9/19/2024 on a B2B in the Baltic. This time in an F and one of the upper deck big C1s. Just have reasonable expectations and be prepared to be happy.

A comprehensive review of Oceania Cruises' Sirena cruise ship. Although I have experience with cruising, my review is based purely on observation and not on comparison.

Then after we boarded, Oceania told us that was a miscommunication with the Port Authority, and they refunded our money. Not a great way to start the trip, for sure. We realized pretty quickly that the ship was no where near full. The Sirena can accomodate approximately 700 passengers.

We had sailed previously on the Marina and had a good cruise. Oceania offered an itinerary for Iberian and French Charisma that appealed to us. Unfortunately, due to weather delays in Denver, we did not arrive in Barcelona until 8:30 PM, which was after the Sirena had sailed.

Oceania recommended by friends and cruise started in Malta. First time on the line and never again. First the good, we had a suite with a butler and amenities which frankly we used once. The free laundry was a 3 day turn around time. The food - the dining room and "special restaurants" were mediocore.

Oceania advertises the best cuisine at sea, it was some of the worst food I've had at sea. The only laughter we had was with fellow passengers joking at the abysmal service we experienced. By the end of the cruise, we were suggesting that the cruise line should be renamed Noceania, because of the number of times we were told no.

We selected the Oceania Sirena because of timing for our 4 back to back European cruises. Over on the QM2, then Viking, then Oceania. The Oceania Sirena is a beautiful jewel box of a ship, just beautiful. The cabin was small for a concierge verandah, bathroom was ridiculous. Saw many guests going to the spa in bathrobes to shower daily.

Sirena is unique in that she combines Toscana & Polo Grill (for her 3 sister R-class ships in O service) into Tuscan Steak while adding Red Ginger. Dress code for men simple: collared shirt, pants, socks, shoes.
