This is a nice clean cheap hotel. You have a wide selection of channels in your room, whith en suite. You have large rooms with iron's and kettle etc as well as wardrobes. You have room service also available at all times. Outside the hotel is a walkway to the Honourable Pilot which is a Restaurant with bar attached this is nice and of a cheap price too. It's one of those sit in the restaurant and go order yourself places

great stop off for inbetween journeys or just to have a dirty night away! clean, cheap rooms, large and with all amenities. good room service too. ( excellent pay per view channels ;) ) and a cheap, friendly restuarant, adjoined to it. Also has a bar with a good selection of drinks at fair prices.

Eye-opening Everton truth could be Steve Cooper’s biggest problem

Everton travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday on the back of a four-match Premier League losing streak, and having been dumped out of the Carabao Cup on penalties

Everton will arrive at the King Power Stadium on Saturday having been defeated in all four of their Premier League matches so far, having just been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, having had their squad hit by a sickness bug, having had limited training time to prepare, and having not won on the road since last December.

None of that will be comfort to Leicester City fans. In fact, it may only enhance their belief that Everton will be walking away with the three points.

The Toffees’ latest defeat, to Southampton on penalties on Tuesday night, was not quite as calamitous or misery-inducing as their previous two Premier League losses, where they led 2-0 but lost 3-2. But an eye-opening statistic from the Carabao Cup tie does set up an intriguing battle.

Against the Saints, Everton had just 26 per cent possession. For two teams from the same division facing each other, that is seriously low. Southampton, under Russell Martin, do like to dominate the ball, and Sean Dyche isn’t particularly fussed about that, but that’s still a significantly low share of possession.

It prompted a range of responses. There were Everton fans who aren’t bothered by how much of the ball their team has as long as they create chances, defend well, and win. There are others who don’t like their team to be so passive, especially at home in their final year at Goodison Park.

While that possession figure was Everton’s lowest of the season, it’s not too far away from their average. They’ve had 36 per cent of the ball in their four Premier League games so far, ranking 19th. One spot above them, on 42 per cent, are City.

Steve Cooper’s not hugely interested in dominating possession either. But at least one side this weekend has to have at least a 50 per cent share of it. It feels like it will fall on City’s shoulders to make the decision over whether it’s an even split of the ball, or they try to control it.

When City had 57 per cent possession against Aston Villa, the only time they have had more than the opposition in a Premier League game this term, Cooper seemed surprised, but mostly that Villa seemed so willing to play as a counter-attacking team. For City, the impact of having that possession was that they had more of the ball in the attacking third, 131 touches to be precise. They’ve averaged 70 final-third touches in their other three matches.

However, that Villa game also represented the lowest expected goals tally of any City performance this season, at just 0.4. They didn’t turn that possession into good chances. It seems they’ve been more effective at fashioning clear opportunities when they’ve had less of the ball and have broken forward into space.

That’s also Everton’s style, and they might be better at it. While they’ve averaged only 36 per cent of the ball, they’ve had nearly double the number of touches in the attacking penalty area as City.

If City want to dominate possession against Everton, they will be able to. But based on how this season’s panned out so far, that may not be what Cooper wants. But if both teams play hot potato with the ball, Everton are the more experienced side at it.
