Morgan Wallen Announces 2023 One Night At A Time World Tour

4 Countries, 2 Continents, 17 Stadiums; Plus Arenas, Amphitheaters & Festivals

Ernest & bailey zimmerman join all dates in the u.s. and internationally with  hardy and parker mccollum joining select dates, tickets on sale friday, dec. 9 at morganwallen.com, one thing at a time – sampler drops at midnight tonight w/ three new songs: “one thing at a time,” “days that end in why” and “tennessee fan” , $3 of every ticket for u.s. dates benefits morgan wallen foundation.

Morgan Wallen  admittedly treats his tours like an athlete approaching a new season, so when the East Tennessean wrapped his wildly successful 55-city  Dangerous Tour  on Oct. 8, no one expected he’d come with a line-up of more shows this soon. Yet, the ACM Milestone Award Winner and only country artist nominated for  Pollstar ’s Major Tour of the Year  award revealed this morning he’s not only expanding the size of the venues he’s playing, he’s traveling around the globe to see his fans in 2023! Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour , produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas  March 15-24  with shows in New Zealand and Australia with  HARDY  before returning stateside on  April 15  at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with  Parker McCollum , before wrapping on  Oct. 7  at Tacoma Dome in Washington.  ERNEST  and  Bailey Zimmerman  will support across all dates, U.S. and internationally. Thirty-nine dates in total with 17 stadiums, amphitheaters and arenas to boot.  Tickets on sale at  MorganWallen.com  beginning Friday, Dec. 9.   Wallen named his tour after one-of-three new songs dropping tonight at midnight on his  One Thing At A Time – Sampler : “One Thing At A Time”; “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” Together, these three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “ Thought You Should Know ,” cowritten with  Miranda Lambert  and  Nicolle Galyon , currently sitting Top 20 as his latest No. 1 “You Proof” returns to the top of the charts for a rare sixth, non-consecutive week atop the Country Airplay chart.   “Man, what a year 2022 has been with the  Dangerous Tour . I had the time of my life, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that my fans connected with the  Dangerous  album the way they did,” Wallen shares. “I’ve had so many people ask me if I wanted to take some time off; but the truth is – I have been writing and making so much music in my off-time because I feel as inspired as I ever have. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling. We are going to run it back next year with the  One Night At A Time World Tour . Bigger venues. New countries. Bigger memories. See y’all there.”   As one of the biggest artists in the world with  Dangerous  continuing to notch historical chart status as  Billboard’s  longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s  21  and Bruce Springsteen’s  Born In The USA ), the 2022  American Music Awards ’ Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song winner adds, “Also, I’m not quite done making this new album, so I’m going to keep making it through the holiday break and early January to chase this inspiration. I promise I won’t wait too long to reveal the album details. To hold you over, I’m dropping three new songs today as a sampler of what I’ve been working on. Can’t wait to take it  one night at a time  in 2023.”   Wallen’s 2022  Dangerous Tour  spanned over 50 shows and broke records in 30 venues across the country during its 8-month-long run. Highlights include his historic Globe Life Field show, which became the fastest sellout in the venue’s history and surpassed attendance records previously held by artists such as Elton John and Lady Gaga, and holding fastest historical sellouts at 11 venues, while simultaneously breaking attendance records with stops at XFINITY Theatre, AmericanBank Center and Darien Lake Amphitheater.   As on his  Dangerous Tour,  $3 of every ticket sold for U.S. dates benefits the Morgan Wallen Foundation which funds causes close to his heart and, to-date, has supported organizations such as  Greater Good Music  by donating over 500,000 meals-and-counting, to  Children Are People , the  Salvation Army  and  National Museum of African American Music .   There is no official pre-sale in the U.S. for this tour, so fans are advised to only purchase through verified fans. Its success sparking an in-demand 55-show THE DANGEROUS TOUR in 2022 that kicked off this February and wrapped in early October, with the superstar’s first headlining stadium show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX that saw Wallen shattering attendance records previously held by Elton John and Lady Gaga. The east Tennessean’s hit-packed set included “Up Down” (2017), “Whiskey Glasses” (2018), “Chasin’ You” (2019), “More Than My Hometown” (2020), “7 Summers” (2020, named one of  Time Magazine’s  Best Songs of the Year), “Sand In My Boots” (2021), and his crossover “Wasted On You.” Wallen’s first solo release of 2022, the emotional ballad “Don’t Think Jesus,” timed to Good Friday in honor of its redemptive lyrics, earned a Top 10  Billboard  Hot 100 debut and landed atop  Billboard  Hot Country Songs chart making him the first artist to score three No.1 debuts on the chart (based on airplay, streaming and sales) since its inception. Follow up single “You Proof,” released in mid-May, became Wallen’s fastest chart climber to-date, reaching No. 1 after 14 weeks and remaining at No. 1 on  Billboard’s  Country Airplay chart for six non-consecutive weeks. Working outside the traditional Nashville mainframe with producer Joey Moi,  Hits Magazine  notes, “Wallen continually colors outside the lines,” adding, in turn “he’s connected to his fans in ways unprecedented for a country star.” Having already taken home New Artist of the Year in 2020, the CMA New Artist Winner also won AMAs fan-voted Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song at 2022’s awards. The east Tennessee superstar and recent ACM Milestone Award recipient shares,  “Awards are awesome, but my true measure of success is my fans, who this year I got to see every single night out on the road and will continue to do so for many years to come.”  Thanks to nearly 1 million of his fans, $3 for every ticket sold during his 2022  Dangerous Tour  has raised nearly $3 million benefitting the  Morgan Wallen Foundation  which funds causes close to his heart.   ABOUT HARDY Big Loud Records’ heavy hitter HARDY has never been just one thing. McCollum earned his first-ever No. 1 hit with his Platinum-selling premiere single, “Pretty Heart,” and his follow-up single, “To Be Loved By You,” also hit No. 1 on the charts. “To Be Loved By You” was also the highest first week debut album of 2021. In November of 2021, McCollum made his first late-night TV appearance performing on  Jimmy Kimmel Live .   McCollum has been named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by  Rolling Stone, Billboard, SiriusXM, CMT, RIAA,  and more with  American Songwriter  noting, “The Texas native teeters on the edge of next-level superstardom.”  MusicRow  listed McCollum as their 2021 Breakout Artist of the Year and Apple also included him as one of their all-genre “Up Next Artists” Class of 2021. A dedicated road warrior, McCollum made his debut at the famed Grand Ole Opry in 2021 and he already sells out venues across the country (over 40 sold out shows nationwide in 2021) including record-breaking crowds in Dallas (20,000), The Woodlands (16,500), Austin (7500+), Lubbock (7700+), Jackson, MS (5000+), Kearney, NE (3000+), Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and three nights at Fort Worth’s iconic Billy Bob’s Texas. In March of this year McCollum made his debut at RODEOHOUSTON to a sold-out crowd with over 73,000 tickets sold. McCollum earned his first ACM award for New Male Artist of the Year in March 2022 in Las Vegas.  McCollum also won his first CMT “Breakthrough Video of the Year” award, a fully fan-voted honor, in April 2022.   ABOUT ERNEST  Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” ( MusicRow ), a triple threat talent and one of Music City’s on the rise artist/writers that’s changing the status quo. A 2022  Variety  Hitmaker, the chart-topping songwriter fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, creating a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle and earning him seven #1 hits to date. The eccentric free spirit and 2022 CMA Triple Play Award winner released his debut full-length album  Flower Shops (The Album)  in March, named one of  Holler  and  The Tennessean ‘s best albums of 2022 and showcasing the more classically country side of his craft. Nashville’s “busiest – and most consistently successful – creative force” ( Tennessean ) just wrapped his first-ever sold-out headlining Sucker For Small Towns Tour, spanning college towns nationwide.   ABOUT BAILEY ZIMMERMAN Establishing himself as one of music’s most exciting new voices, Bailey Zimmerman has arrived at the cusp of superstardom with the 2022 release of his debut EP,  Leave The Light On  – the biggest streaming country debut of all time and the most-streamed all-genre debut of the year. The EP arrived at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 9 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, affording the Louisville, Illinois, native to join Zach Bryan and Luke Combs as the only country artists in 2022 to earn more than one million streams on each of a project’s tracks during release week alone. In 2021 the twenty-two-year-old released his very first song. Now, in just one year’s time, Zimmerman touts nearly 1 billion global streams, has earned his first pair of Platinum singles, notched three entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and sold out his first headline tour within minutes of tickets going on-sale.   A young artist with the rasp of a seasoned rocker and the heart of a sensitive songwriter, Zimmerman strikes a sweet spot between timeless American country, rafter-rattling arena rock, and the kind of authentic storytelling that tugs at the heartstrings with a sense of humor and a whole lot of soul. With more new music on the horizon, featuring the grit and gravel of his unmistakably Southern drawl, Zimmerman will continue to showcase the straightforward authenticity for which he is known and loved.   ABOUT LIVE NATION ENTERTAINMENT Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE: LYV) is the world’s leading live entertainment company comprised of global market leaders: Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, and Live Nation Sponsorship. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling. We are going to run it back next year with the  One Night At A Time World Tour . Bigger venues. New countries. Bigger memories. See y’all there.”

As one of the biggest artists in the world with  Dangerous  continuing to notch historical chart status as  Billboard’s  longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s  21  and Bruce Springsteen’s  Born In The USA ), the 2022  American Music Awards ’ Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song winner adds, “Also, I’m not quite done making this new album, so I’m going to keep making it through the holiday break and early January to chase this inspiration. I promise I won’t wait too long to reveal the album details. To hold you over, I’m dropping three new songs today as a sampler of what I’ve been working on. Can’t wait to take it  one night at a time  in 2023.”

Wallen’s 2022  Dangerous Tour  spanned over 50 shows and broke records in 30 venues across the country during its 8-month-long run.

For more information, visit  www.morganwallen.com . Morgan Wallen Fan Club pre-sale for Australia and New Zealand shows begins on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN

With over 12.3 billion on-demand streams, multi-platinum certifications and seven chart-toppers at Country radio, it’s no wonder  The New Yorker  dubbed Morgan Wallen “the most wanted man in country.” His critically-acclaimed, 4x platinum ACM Album of the Year  Dangerous: The Double Album  (Big Loud/Republic Records) — Wallen’s follow-up to his Double Platinum breakout  If I Know Me  — topped 2021’s all-genre  Billboard  200 Albums year-end chart with 4.1 million units sold earning him 2022  Billboard  Awards Country Male Artist top honor while continuing to notch historical chart status as  Billboard’s  longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s  21  and Bruce Springsteen’s  Born In The USA ). The east Tennessean’s hit-packed set included “Up Down” (2017), “Whiskey Glasses” (2018), “Chasin’ You” (2019), “More Than My Hometown” (2020), “7 Summers” (2020, named one of  Time Magazine’s  Best Songs of the Year), “Sand In My Boots”

(2021), and his crossover “Wasted On You.” Wallen’s first solo release of 2022, the emotional ballad “Don’t Think Jesus,” timed to Good Friday in honor of its redemptive lyrics, earned a Top 10  Billboard  Hot 100 debut and landed atop  Billboard  Hot Country Songs chart making him the first artist to score three No.1 debuts on the chart (based on airplay, streaming and sales) since its inception.

ABOUT HARDY

Big Loud Records’ heavy hitter HARDY has never been just one thing. Uncaging his next chapter on January 20, 2023, HARDY will introduce  the mockingbird & THE CROW,  his dichotomous, 17-track sophomore album and the follow up to 2020 debut,  A ROCK . HARDY is the reigning ACM  Songwriter of the Year,  2022’s BMI  Country Songwriter of the Year  and a two-time AIMP  Songwriter of the Year . One of CRS’ 2021 New Faces of Country Music and a two-time CMA Triple Play award recipient, the pride of Philadelphia, Miss. has earned his reputation as “a breakout in the making,” ( HITS ) and “a promising purveyor of keeping the spirit of classic heavy Southern rock alive” ( American Songwriter ). HARDY has written 12 No. 1 singles since 2018, including his own double platinum No. 1 single “ONE BEER” feat. Lauren Alaina + Devin Dawson, and chart-topping Dierks Bentley + BRELAND collaboration, “Beers On Me.” He’s previously toured with Thomas Rhett, Wallen, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, and more, and will embark on his own SOLD-OUT headlining  Wall to Wall Tour  this winter, before launching the mockingbird &  THE CROW Tour  in 2023.

ABOUT ERNEST

Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” ( MusicRow ), a triple threat talent and one of Music City’s on the rise artist/writers that’s changing the status quo.

ABOUT BAILEY ZIMMERMAN

Establishing himself as one of music’s most exciting new voices, Bailey Zimmerman has arrived at the cusp of superstardom with the 2022 release of his debut EP,  Leave The Light On  – the biggest streaming country debut of all time and the most-streamed all-genre debut of the year.

With

more new music on the horizon, featuring the grit and gravel of his unmistakably Southern drawl, Zimmerman will continue to showcase the straightforward authenticity for which he is known and loved.

Morgan Wallen Kicks Off His One Night at a Time 2024 World Tour in Indianapolis

The country star is set to tour across North American from now until the end of the summer with a handful of special guests

"Last Night" was one to remember for Morgan Wallen !

On Thursday, April 4, the country music star, 30, kicked off the 2024 leg of his massive One Night at a Time World Tour with a concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

To kick things off, Wallen made a grand entrance alongside sports analyst and former Indianapolis Colts player Pat McAfee, and Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

The singer-songwriter, who was dressed in all black and at one point donned an Indiana State University jersey, played 25 songs over the course of the night, including old hits like "Whiskey Glasses," "Chasin' You" and "Up Down," plus newer hits like "Last Night" and "One Thing at a Time."

Bailey Zimmerman, who opened for the star alongside Nate Smith and Lauren Watkins, even joined Wallen for "I Deserve a Drink," off his latest album One Thing at a Time .

After Wallen plays an additional One Night at a Time World Tour show in Indianapolis, he'll play in Oxford, Mississippi later in April and then head to California for a headlining performance at Stagecoach music festival at the end of the month.

In early May, the hitmaker's stadium tour resumes with three shows in Nashville, and then he'll continue performing in cities across North America for the remainder of the spring and much of the summer. The run of live shows will wrap up on Aug. 9 in Las Vegas, and along the way the "Cowgirls" singer will make stops in major markets like Philadelphia, the greater New York City area, Denver and more.

Wallen is making his live dates extra special this year by bringing along an A-list cast of rotating openers. Each show is set to include three guests, including Bryan Martin , Ella Langley , Jelly Roll,   Jon Pardi , Lainey Wilson , in addition to Smith, Watkins and Zimmerman.

2024 marks the second year of the One Night at a Time tour, named for his smash hit third studio album One Thing at a Time , which dropped in March 2023. The "Wasted on You" singer was out on the road for much of 2023, headlining shows from shortly after the album's release through the end of the year.

Amid last year's North American leg in May, Wallen had to postpone a number of dates due to vocal fold trauma , or "excessive and improper use of the voice," according to the National Institute of Health.

One month later, he was granted permission to resume his live show , sharing on Instagram that his doctor had "cleared" him to "talk and sing" again.

Wallen's 2023 album has been among the most successful releases of his career. The effort not only debuted atop the Billboard 200, it held the position for 19 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running No. 1 country album of all time on the chart.

The record's track "Last Night" reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 — the hitmaker's first song to do so — and went on to garner a nomination for best country song at the 2024 Grammy Awards .

Morgan Wallen has announced dates on One Night At A Time 2024 and fans are being asked to register ahead of tickets going on sale to help block bots, reduce resale and get more tickets directly into the hands of real people who want to attend the show.

Key Dates To Know

  • Tuesday, September 26 – Registration opens
  • Sunday, October 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT – Registration closes
  • Evening of Tuesday, October 3 – Fans will receive confirmation if they will have access to the Registration Onsale or if they have been placed on the waitlist
  • Wednesday, October 4 and Thursday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. local venue time – Registration Onsale (only fans that received an email confirming their access will be able to join the queue for this sale)

Registration does not, however, guarantee that every fan will get access to the sale. We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. A limited number of randomly selected fans will get access to the sale, and others will be put on the waitlist. Getting access to the sale doesn’t guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What are the new 2024 Morgan Wallen tour dates in the U.S.?

Thursday, August 8, 2024 – Las Vegas, NV @ Allegiant Stadium

* Not sold on Ticketmaster .

Why do I need to register?

Because Tickets are Limited: When there simply aren’t enough tickets for everyone who wants them, random selection gives all fans who successfully registered a chance to be selected to participate in the sale.

Because it Helps Reduce Bots: Registration helps filter out bots that gain an unfair advantage over fans who want to go to the show.  Knowing who should be in the queue ahead of time also makes it easier for us to identify and block suspicious bot-like activity. While it doesn’t guarantee that everyone who buys tickets won’t resell them, it typically cuts that number to less than 5-10% of all tickets (compared to 20-30% of tickets from sales that don’t use registration).

Registration does not guarantee access to the sale, or to tickets. We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available, meaning only a limited number of fans will gain access to the sale. The system will then work on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I register?

Simply fill out the registration form and pick your preferred show(s). You will receive an email confirmation that your registration has been completed.

Next, you’ll receive an email on Tuesday, October 3 letting you know if you were randomly selected to participate in the sale or placed on the waitlist.

A) If you’ve been randomly selected to participate in the sale, you will receive a unique code via text the day before the sale begins. The number of fans who receive access depends on the number of tickets available. Note: Codes only work with your account; they cannot be bought or sold.

B) If you’ve been waitlisted you may be randomly selected to join the sale if tickets remain. If that happens, you’ll be notified via text.

Please remember:

  • This sale can only be accessed by the randomly selected individuals who registered and received a unique access code.
  • Registering does not guarantee you’ll get a code, and receiving a code does not guarantee you will get a ticket.

Common Questions

How do i register for morgan wallen’s one night at a time 2024 tickets.

Registration is open now through Sunday, October 1 at 11:59 pm PT.

Can I register for the sales outside of the U.S.?

Yes, however you must use a U.S. or Canadian phone number.

How many shows can I register for?

You may register for up to three shows.

Can I change or update the shows I register for?

Yes, you can update your show choice any time before registration ends. To do so, return to the Registration Onsale link and click “edit entry.” Only your last selection will be considered once registration closes.

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

This email is to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. Please note that your confirmation email is not an invitation to shop. Once we get closer to the sales, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does registering as soon as possible give me a better chance at getting a code?

No. The selection process is random, and registering as soon as the window opens does not increase the odds of getting an access code.

When do tickets go on sale?

The Registration Onsale takes place on Wednesday, October 4 and Thursday, October 5 starting at 11:00 a.m. local venue time. Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I access the ticket sale once I get a unique access code?

If you’ve received a sale link and unique access code, follow these steps:

  • Using the link provided to you via text, you can join the Waiting Room up to 30 minutes prior to your sale opening.
  • Sign in to your Ticketmaster account with the same email and password used for your registration — this is used to confirm you have access to the sale. Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue.
  • When the sale opens, you will be placed in a virtual line.
  • Once it’s your turn, enter your access code exactly as it appears, and join the sale.

Remember: Access to the ticket sale does not guarantee you will be able to purchase tickets.

When should I expect my access code?

If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive a code via SMS the evening before the ticket sales begins. This message will include information on when the sale starts, a sale link, and your unique, non-transferrable access code.

Can I share my access code with my friends or family?

No. Your access code is unique to your account, and for this reason, you cannot share your code with friends or family. Do not trust anyone selling an access code , as codes cannot be purchased or transferred.

Tickets have gone on sale, I registered and never received my access code?

Registering does not guarantee you will receive an access code nor that you will have the ability to purchase tickets. Please note, we expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Why didn’t my access code work?

Please make sure you entered the correct code and have not exceeded the ticket limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.

I’m a real fan of this artist, and not a bot or reseller. Why didn’t I get access?

Selection is not a measure of how big a fan anybody is. Sometimes there simply aren’t enough tickets for everyone. When demand exceeds availability, a limited number of fans get access to the Registration Onsale, and others must be placed on the waitlist. The number of fans who receive access depends on the number of tickets currently available — this is done to help create a less crowded ticket shopping experience for fans.

What happens if I’m on the waiting list?

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case more fans placed on the waitlist than randomly selected for access.

Sometimes, if there are tickets available, additional fans will be randomly selected from the waitlist for access and receive an email with a unique access code and purchase link. Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after tickets originally went on sale.

pixeltracker

Morgan Wallen is bringing his "One Night At A Time 2024" tour to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21, with special guests Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith , and Bryan Martin.

LATEST NEWS

Morgan Wallen is one of the top country artists of our time, having become a global sensation in country music. Review: MORGAN WALLEN ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 at US Bank Stadium

Morgan Wallen sold out both nights at the U.S. Bank Stadium. His stage was large, featuring massive projection screens, a runway down the middle, and a B stage at the other end of the stadium. He opened the show with a projection of himself getting ready to come on stage, building anticipation among the sold-out crowd of over 70,000 fans. Wallen appeared wearing a casual button-up, jeans, and a trucker hat – a standard outfit for a country artist. He kicked off the night with "Ain't That Some" and then transitioned into "I Wrote the Book," accompanied by pyrotechnics and a large "MW" projected on the screens.

In one corner of the stage, Wallen had a setup resembling high school bleachers, where he shared stories about his experiences growing up and playing baseball. He then performed a few songs on guitar. As he made his way to the B stage, Wallen walked through the crowd, interacting with fans along the way. On the B stage, he showcased his versatility as a musician by performing songs like "Thought You Should Know" and "Lies Lies Lies" on both guitar and piano.

Back on the main stage, another setup resembling a house provided the backdrop for Wallen to sing alongside his band members. This set included songs such as "Up Down," "Cowgirls," and "Chasin' You," culminating with "More Than My Hometown" and "Whiskey Glasses."

The audience didn’t want the concert to end and cheered for more. Wallen and his band returned wearing Vikings jerseys for three encores, including "Thinkin' Bout Me," "Last Night," and "The Way I Talk." The audience sang and danced along, and after the final encore, Wallen took the time to sign items for fans and take stage selfies, demonstrating his appreciation for their support. His love for what he does was evident, as he shared his music and stories, showing gratitude for the fans who spent their evening with him. He ended the show with fire and fireworks as the crowd cheered.

Thank you, Morgan, for an unforgettable night of music! We hope to have you back again soon!

REVIEW: Morgan Wallen’s One Night A Time World Tour

REVIEW: Morgan Wallen’s One Night A Time World Tour

Morgan Wallen stands atop his domain with an aura of accomplishment akin to Caesar surveying his empire. His legacy is firmly cemented with chart-topping albums, a plethora of hit singles, and sold-out tours that leave fans clamoring for more. Despite the inevitable presence of naysayers, Wallen’s success speaks volumes, echoing the sentiment of Lil Baby’s  words , “when you’re living like this they’re supposed to hate.”

The opening night of Wallen’s 2024 One Night At A Time world tour at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis was nothing short of a spectacle. Over 70,000 fans, spanning ages, races, and backgrounds, converged to immerse themselves in the anthems that have soundtracked their lives. From children dressed as mini Morgans to couples in matching homemade shirts, the sense of community was palpable, transcending the typical boundaries of a music event.

The supporting acts, Lauren Watkins, Nate Smith, and Bailey Zimmerman, may have been newcomers to the stadium scene, but their performances belied their experience. Despite the challenges of capturing the attention of a sprawling crowd, they held their own, proving their mettle on a stage that dwarfed them in size.

Then, amidst a whirlwind of lights, pyrotechnics, and boundless energy, Morgan Wallen took center stage. With a repertoire of twenty-five hit songs spanning four stages, he spared no effort in bridging the vast gap between performer and audience. While the production dazzled, it was Wallen’s undeniable connection with his fans that truly stole the show. They sang along with fervor, matching his every move and amplifying the atmosphere with their enthusiasm.

Yet, even amidst the euphoria, there lingered a bittersweet reality: the constraint of time. With a catalog brimming with hits, Wallen faced the inevitable challenge of omitting beloved fan favorites from his setlist. But that’s showbiz, baby! You can’t have it all—even when you have it all.

Whether it’s tonight or another, Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time Tour exceeds expectations, delivering a performance that transcends mere entertainment to become a collective experience etched into the memories of all who are there to witness. As the lights dimmed and the echoes of applause faded into the night, one thing became abundantly clear: Morgan Wallen’s reign shows no signs of waning, his empire of sound destined to endure.

Morgan Wallen has unveiled concert dates for his 2023 world tour and announced that he will release not one, but three new songs Thursday night.

The country musician broke the news Thursday morning on social media where he revealed the titles of the soon-to-be-released tracks: “One Thing at a Time,” “Tennessee Fan” and “Days That End in Why.” His One Night at a Time world tour will kick off March 15 in Auckland, New Zealand, before traveling to Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

“2023 is gonna be a special year… I got a lot in store for y’all and thought we’d start with this,” Wallen wrote on Instagram .

“Ready for y’all to hear what we’ve been working on,” he added.

Review: Morgan Wallen in L.A.: a country superstar, live and apparently un-canceled

What’s clear about the country musician, who touched down Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena for the first of two sold-out concerts, is that being caught on video drunkenly using the N-word has not derailed his career.

Sept. 25, 2022

According to the announcement, Wallen will perform in San Diego on July 15 and Los Angeles on July 22 at undisclosed venues. Fellow country singer Hardy will open for Wallen in California. Other supporting acts include Ernest, Bailey Zimmerman and Parker McCollum.

The “Whiskey Glasses” hitmaker also encouraged his American and Canadian fans to sign up for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan pre-sale for a chance to snag tickets early for his upcoming shows. (Ticketmaster is currently under fire for how it handled the Verified Fan pre-sale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which sold out prematurely and crashed the website.)

The Verified Fan pre-sale is scheduled to begin Wednesday, followed by a general sale Friday.

After a racist outburst, country star Morgan Wallen is ready to tour again

After being largely cast out for using a racial slur, embattled “Whiskey Glasses” singer Morgan Wallen will embark on his Dangerous Tour in February.

Nov. 15, 2021

Earlier this year, Wallen played Crypto.com Arena — his first L.A. concert since he was caught on video drunkenly using the N-word . The recording artist apologized for using the “unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur” after facing immediate consequences from radio stations , TV networks and his own record label.

He has since posted a record-breaking streak atop Billboard’s album chart, received the Milestone Award from the Academy of Country Music and scored a nomination for entertainer of the year at the Country Music Assn. Awards.

New music from Wallen is set to arrive at 9 p.m. Pacific.

Meet the Denver Local Behind Morgan Wallen’s One Night at a Time Tour

Thursday’s concert at Empower Field will be Cort Lawrence’s first hometown stadium show.

Jessica Giles

The Local newsletter is your free, daily guide to life in Colorado. For locals, by locals. Sign up today!

You might think that the breeding ground for music industry giants would be the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville or maybe Joe’s Pub in the Big Apple. But for Cort Lawrence, it was a strip-mall pizzeria in Centennial.

“During high school, I spent a lot of time being a part of a small, little broadcast show that was filmed at Big Bill’s New York Pizza ,” Lawrence says of the Colorado institution where he got his start. The Highlands Ranch native would interview local sports stars, former Miss Colorados, and other Mile High City celebs as part of his high school TV club. One such connection landed him on a tour bus with rock band Third Eye Blind at age 19.

Lawrence wasn’t playing bass or singing backup; instead, he was setting up lights, designing visuals, and planning pyrotechnics. Over the course of a decade, he worked his way up the ranks from grunt work to creative direction, ultimately launching his own production company, Raw Cereal , in 2022. Alongside his co-founder, Anders Rahm, Lawrence has spent the last several years bringing to life the visions of big-name artists including Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Thee Stallion, Avril Lavigne, and Lainey Wilson.

Now 31, Lawrence is climbing up to the next rung: working as the show director for Morgan Wallen’s One Night at a Time tour . When the country superstar’s concert rolls into Empower Field at Mile High Stadium on Thursday, it will be Lawrence’s first hometown stadium show. We caught up with the creative ahead of this milestone to get the lowdown on his Denver roots, the inspiration behind the tour’s design, and what it’s really like to work with the biggest name in contemporary country music.

Editor’s note: The following conversation has been edited for length and clarity.

5280: For the uninitiated, can you explain what it means to be a show director for a musician’s tour? Cort Lawrence: I see myself as an architect. That’s a term that was brought up maybe 30 years ago by someone I looked up to. He called himself a “show architect.” I agree with that. He was coming up with the drawings, the renderings, the creative intent, and all these ideas, and then he would take that and disperse it to all these teams and say, “This is what we’re going to build.”

You went straight from high school to a tour bus. What tour did you join? They needed somebody to come out on tour with Third Eye Blind at the time. That was my first tour. I was a lighting tech, but at that point in time, I didn’t know anything about the music industry or how it works. I was purely just a roadie: helping set up the stage, helping set out some lights, touring with them from stop to stop, and learning the ropes. I think that was the best classroom environment I could have ever been in.

So are you a self-taught graphic and show designer? Yeah, no formal education besides YouTube and just learning from myself. That’s the thing about design and creativity; there are no right or wrong answers, which is great, and that’s why it’s such an open environment.

morgan wallen world tour locations

Talk to me about the vision behind Morgan Wallen’s One Night at a Time Tour. What can fans expect to see? This design took eight to 10 months of planning. We came up with this giant screen that wraps around the stage. One of the reasons for that, though, is because Morgan wanted to have more audience. It helps the audience imagine the music, and it gives them a place to look, much like a movie.

Then behind that screen, we have a lot of lights and pyrotechnics, and we even have a smaller version of his mamaw’s house. So his mamaw’s house was recreated, and it lowers in for a few songs, and it gives that side of the audience a unique moment. Then on another side of the stage, we have some baseball bleachers that represent Morgan’s pastime: He was a baseball player in high school. And then we have a stadium light that comes down and finishes that scene. So we created all these different scenes to give the audience more of a TV performance and these more intimate moments to provide more connection for Morgan and the audience.

What has it been like to work with Morgan Wallen? We worked with him previously, and we’ve worked with his team a lot. That’s the one thing about the Nashville community—it’s so small, friendly and very family-oriented, which is amazing. We see Morgan as part of our family, and he sees us as part of his family out there. He’s very kind and courteous, and he’s a busy man. But we always appreciate working with him because we get to come up with something unique, and he gets to do his thing and really connect with his audience.

How are you feeling ahead of your very first hometown stadium show? It’s funny, every time I would come home it would be either at the Bluebird Theater or the Ogden Theatre, and then the Fillmore Auditorium, and then Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, and then Red Rocks, and then Ball Arena. So I’ve worked all these from the ground up. And now, I finally get to say that I came to the biggest venue in Colorado, which is Mile High Stadium. That is huge.

Is there anything about your show design for Morgan Wallen that you think will particularly shine at Mile High Stadium? The audience is pretty close to the field, which is awesome. Some stadiums have the audience set back from where the actual field is, but Mile High has people surrounding all sides. So I think the crowd layout is going to be the biggest benefit. We utilize the light-up wristbands. That’s one of the big pieces to the show because it involves the audience, but Morgan gets to see it as well. He gets to see it moving to the music, creating shapes and color throughout the crowd. The crowd is a huge element.

Do you have a favorite tour you’ve worked on? I toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers for quite a while. That’s where I met my wife—in London. She was visiting the Chili Peppers at a London show, and our love carried on from there. The Chili Peppers are a family-oriented camp, and those friends and family even attended our wedding. It’s a blast to see how your career grows and brings in new people and new life.

You’ve worked with huge names like Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly, Lainey Wilson, and now Wallen. Have you had a moment yet in your career where you felt like you’ve “made it”? I’m getting there. I think this has been really exciting, but we’re going to keep on pushing, because there are so many things still to create on our side. We’re so lucky to work with all of those big names, and no matter what size they’re at, I think our goal is to continue creating new things and pushing the boundaries. We just haven’t pushed the boundaries far enough yet. But once we have the ability to create something really new and shocking for this world, I think that’s where we’ll make it.

Morgan Wallen’s One Night at a Time tour comes to Empower Field at Mile High on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28. Tickets start at $115 and can be purchased online .

morgan wallen world tour locations

01 DECEMBER 2022 (TORONTO, ON) – Morgan Wallen admittedly treats his tours like an athlete approaching a new season, so when the East Tennessean wrapped his wildly successful 55-city Dangerous Tour on Oct. 8, no one expected he’d come with a line-up of more shows this soon. Yet, the ACM Milestone Award Winner and only country artist nominated for Pollstar’s Major Tour of the Year award revealed this morning he’s not only expanding the size of the venues he’s playing, he’s traveling around the globe to see his fans in 2023!

Morgan Wallen’s   One Night At A Time World Tour , produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas March 15-24with shows in New Zealand and Australia with  HARDY  before returning stateside on April 15 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with  Parker McCollum , before wrapping on Oct.

“ Man, what a year 2022 has been with the Dangerous Tour. I had the time of my life, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that my fans connected with the Dangerous album the way they did ,” Wallen shares. “ I’ve had so many people ask me if I wanted to take some time off; but the truth is - I have been writing and making so much music in my off-time because I feel as inspired as I ever have. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling. We are going to run it back next year with the One Night At A Time World Tour. Bigger venues. New countries. Bigger memories. See y’all there. ”

As one of the biggest artists in the world with  Dangerous  continuing to notch historical chart status as  Billboard’s  longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist  (eclipsing Adele’s  21  and Bruce Springsteen’s  Born In The USA ), the 2022  American Music Awards ’ Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song winner adds, “ Also, I’m not quite done making this new album, so I’m going to keep making it through the holiday break and early January to chase this inspiration. I promise I won’t wait too long to reveal the album details. To hold you over, I’m dropping three new songs today as a sampler of what I’ve been working on. Can’t wait to take it one night at a time in 2023 .”

Wallen’s 2022  Dangerous Tour  spanned over 50 shows and broke records in 30 venues across the country during its 8-month-long run.

ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN With over 12.3 billion on-demand streams, multi-platinum certifications and seven chart-toppers at Country radio, it’s no wonder  The New Yorker  dubbed Morgan Wallen “the most wanted man in country.” His critically-acclaimed, 4x platinum ACM Album of the Year  Dangerous: The Double Album  (Big Loud/Republic Records) -- Wallen's follow-up to his Double Platinum breakout  If I Know Me  -- topped 2021's all-genre  Billboard  200 Albums year-end chart with 4.1 million units sold earning him 2022  Billboard  Awards Country Male Artist top honor while continuing to notch historical chart status as  Billboard’s  longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s  21  and Bruce Springsteen’s  Born In The USA ). The east Tennessean's hit-packed set included “Up Down” (2017), “Whiskey Glasses” (2018), “Chasin' You” (2019), “More Than My Hometown” (2020), “7 Summers” (2020, named one of  Time Magazine's  Best Songs of the Year), “Sand In My Boots” (2021), and his crossover “Wasted On You.” Wallen's first solo release of 2022, the emotional ballad “Don't Think Jesus,” timed to Good Friday in honor of its redemptive lyrics, earned a Top 10  Billboard  Hot 100 debut and landed atop  Billboard  Hot Country Songs chart making him the first artist to score three No.1 debuts on the chart (based on airplay, streaming and sales) since its inception. Follow up single “You Proof,” released in mid-May, became Wallen’s fastest chart climber to-date, reaching No. 1 after 14 weeks and remaining at No. 1 on  Billboard’s  Country Airplay chart for six non-consecutive weeks. Working outside the traditional Nashville mainframe with producer Joey Moi,  Hits Magazine  notes, “Wallen continually colors outside the lines,” adding, in turn “he's connected to his fans in ways unprecedented for a country star.” Having already taken home New Artist of the Year in 2020, the CMA New Artist Winner also won AMAs fan-voted Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song at 2022’s awards.

The eccentric free spirit and 2022 CMA Triple Play Award winner released his debut full-length album  Flower Shops (The Album)  in March, named one of  Holler  and  The Tennessean 's best albums of 2022 and showcasing the more classically country side of his craft. Nashville's “busiest – and most consistently successful – creative force” ( Tennessean ) just wrapped his first-ever sold-out headlining Sucker For Small Towns Tour, spanning college towns nationwide.

Things to Do

Music and concerts, subscriber only, music and concerts | concert review: morgan wallen goes big on first of two sold-out shows at u.s. bank stadium, his abundant hooks seemed to make up for his sometimes flat vocals.

Morgan Wallen performing while a torch shoots a flame from the stage

So it was fitting that he made his local debut as a stadium headliner Thursday, selling out the first of two nights at U.S. Bank Stadium, the biggest stage in town.

The 31-year-old Tennessee native — who has occupied the Top Country Albums chart for 151 weeks total, second only to Garth Brooks’ 173-week record — wasn’t new to the Vikings stadium in Minneapolis, as he performed a 90-minute opening set for Eric Church there in June 2022, which he mentioned early on in the show. But he was much better, and bigger, Thursday night.

He performed on an expansive stage, complete with a phallus-shaped catwalk that extended far onto the stadium floor and Taylor Swift-sized screens that mostly focused on close-ups of Wallen for the cheap seats. He wrapped the first hour of his show playing four semi-acoustic songs — including his cover of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up” and “Lies Lies Lies,” a brand-new song presumably from his impending fourth album — on a second stage at the opposite end of the stadium.

A large part of Wallen’s massive success is his savvy, both as a song co-writer and song chooser, in finding indelible hooks that transcend genre. He often sidles up next to hip-hop and took the stage to a recorded version of Lil Durk’s “Broadway Girls,” a 2021 hit that featured Wallen on vocals. Elsewhere, he dabbles in any number of sounds, from Southern rock to ’80s heartland anthems to sheer pop confections, like his current hit with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help.”

To be sure, Wallen has improved quite a bit as a performer since he opened for Church and showed little in the way of charisma. He’s figured out how to keep a crowd in the palm of his hand, which helps matters given his sometimes flat vocals. Five songs in and he was struggling to hit some of the notes in “You Proof.”

He also flexed his muscles with spendy staging, from the bracelets handed out to audience members that flashed along to the music (a move he borrowed from Swift and Coldplay) to copious amounts of pyro and belching pillars of flame.

For “’98 Braves” — which features some particularly tortured lyrics that liken a disappointing playoff exit from the Atlanta Braves to a romantic relationship gone wrong — he performed in front of some bleachers as an ode to his time playing baseball in high school. He kept the bleachers around for one of his finest songs, the ’70s-style soft rock ballad “7 Summers.” Later, he crooned “Chasin’ You” and “Man Made a Bar” in front of the porch of a mock small-town house.

Given the size of the sheer crowd and the fact some had been drinking since the first of three opening acts (Bryan Martin) took the stage at 5:30 p.m., they treated Wallen with a surprising amount of reverence, occasionally singing along with the chorus in a polite fashion. As unlikely a star Wallen may be to the uninitiated, his fans absolutely adore the guy.

NASHVILLE, TENN.  –  Morgan Wallen’s   One Night At A Time 2024  tour, awarded  Pollstar  and  Billboard ‘s 2023 Country Tour of the Year with over 2.4 million fans already holding tickets, returned in the U.S. last month with  Billboard  opining Wallen “offered a premier display of his entertainer of the year-worthy credentials” of his sold-out three-show Nissan Stadium run.

As the tour continues its trek throughout the United States this summer, the 11-time  Billboard  Music Awards-winner announces plans to expand into his first-ever European run with an additional six shows this fall: Stockholm, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Glasgow, U.K., and Dublin, Ireland, Aug. 28 – Sept. 7, 2024 with  Larry Fleet  and  Lauren Watkins  on all dates as direct support.

Tickets go on-sale this Thursday, May 16 at  Ticketmaster.com .

One Night At A Time  is produced by Live Nation in North America and Europe, and is named after Wallen’s third studio album  One Thing At A Time .  One Thing At A Time  has remained atop the all-genre  Billboard  200 chart for 19 non-consecutive weeks, surpassing Garth Brooks’  Ropin’ the Wind  with the most weeks at No. 1 for a Country album, and was the most-streamed album of the year on Spotify in 2023.

The 35-show 2024 extension of  One Night At A Time  takes Wallen to 24 additional stadium-plays, plus arenas and festivals around the world.

Wallen donates a portion of every ticket sold to his  Morgan Wallen Foundation .

'CMA Fest' 2024: How to watch, who is performing and more

The three-hour special airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Didn't make it to this year's CMA Fest down in Nashville, Tennessee? ABC has got ya covered.

Dubbed the "Music Event of Summer," the network's "CMA Fest" special co-hosted by Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde is airing Tuesday, June 25, and will feature performances from the annual music festival, which took place June 6-9.

Jelly Roll, Shaboozey and more country stars reveal best advice they ever received

Some of the biggest names in country music will be featured in the special, which includes 30 performances -- some of them being star-studded collaborations.

Learn more about the country music special below.

How can I watch 'CMA Fest'?

Who is hosting 'cma fest'.

Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde are co-hosting this year's "CMA Fest" special.

The "Need a Favor" singer said working with McBryde is like working with a "cousin" -- but not just any cousin.

Jelly Roll talks fatherhood, building a 'proper home' with wife Bunnie XO

"Like one of them reckless, wild cousins that you love being around but you know they're going to be absolutely crazy," he joked, adding that that's what "every moment" the two shared is like.

McBryde agreed, saying she is "definitely the peanut butter to his jelly."

"I knew us being buds and writing a little bit together, that we were going to be fine bantering back and forth," the "Girl Goin' Nowhere" singer said. "I didn't know that we were going to have to rein it in so much, because we will just sit there and talk to each other and forget that there's something that we're supposed to be doing."

"So the jokes are off the cuff," McBryde continued, adding that it was an "absolutely wonderful" experience.

Who is performing during 'CMA Fest'?

Fans can expect 30 performances from some of the biggest names in country music -- and the night's hosts -- during the special.

Artists on the star-studded performers list include Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, Luke Bryan, Megan Moroney, Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, HARDY, The War And Treaty and Cody Johnson.
