John the Evangelist or the Theologian addressed messages to the Seven Churches of Asia (minor). After Romans, Constantine chose Byzantium as the new capital of the empire. The new city was named Constantinopole or Istanbul. One of the most spectacular works of Byzantine architecture is the church of St. Sophia or Divine Wisdom.

Day 1 istanbul – arrival – half day bosphorus tour.

Welcome to Turkey! Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After some rest, your tour of Istanbul will begin with a visit to the Spice Bazaar, a vibrant and colorful market filled with a wide variety of spices, herbs, and other local goods. Next, you will embark on a cruise along the Bosphorus, a beautiful strait that separates the European and Asian sides of Istanbul. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 Istanbul – Full Day Tour

After a delicious breakfast, we will embark on a guided tour of Istanbul, visiting some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including the Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Saint Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. These monuments represent the rich history of Istanbul, encompassing the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. After the tour of the old city, we will transfer to the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s largest and oldest covered markets. The Grand Bazaar is a popular tourist attraction, with over 250,000 to 400,000 visitors per day and a total area of 30,700 square meters, containing more than 4,000 stores. It is often considered one of the world’s first shopping malls and attracts over 91 million annual tourists. We will have free time at the bazaar before transferring back to our hotel for the night.

Day 3 Istanbul – Pergamon

After breakfast, we will depart from the hotel and travel by road to the ancient city of Pergamon. Pergamon, also known as Pergamos or Pergamum, was the recipient of the third letter written by St. John to the churches of Asia Minor. This impressive city is renowned for its impressive Hellenistic city planning and has been described as the “most illustrious city of Asia” and a “royal city.” During our tour, we will have the opportunity to explore the rich history and cultural heritage of Pergamon. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel in Bergama for the night.

Day 4 Sardis – Philadelphia – Pamukkale

After a nourishing breakfast, we will set off for Sardes, one of the Seven Churches mentioned by St. John in the New Testament. From Sardes, we will continue to Philadelphia, another important Christian congregation and a city founded in 2 BC by King Eumenes. Our journey will then take us to Pamukkale, where we will witness the stunning sunset over the petrified waterfalls. We will spend the night in Pamukkale.

Day 5 Colossae – Laodicea – Kusadasi

Our day begins with a drive to Colossae, a city known for its role in the book of Colossians in the New Testament. Here, we will explore the Byzantine walls and other remaining ruins of the city. After lunch, we will continue our journey over the Taurus Mountains to Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation mentioned in the book of Revelation and referenced by Paul in his letter to the Colossians. We will also visit the unexcavated site of Colossae, located on the foothills of Mount Honaz, where Paul wrote his letters to the Colossians and Philemon. Later in the day, we will visit Hierapolis before continuing on to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.

Day 6 Thyatira – Ephesus – Virgin Mary – Smyrna

After a hearty breakfast, we will begin our journey to Thyatira, another one of the Seven Churches mentioned in the New Testament. According to the letters, the members of this church were praised for their resistance to libertarianism. From Thyatira, we will continue to Ephesus, where we will see the final resting place of the Virgin Mary and tour ancient Ephesus, including the old synagogue, the theater where St. Paul preached (Acts 10), and the Library of Celsus. In the afternoon, we will visit ancient Smyrna, the second of the seven Christian churches in Asia Minor addressed by St. John in the book of Revelation. We will also visit the remains of a basilica and other ruins from the Roman period in Thyatira. Our day will end with an overnight stay in Kusadasi.

Day 7 Adana – Antioch – Church of Peter

After breakfast, we will drive to the airport in Antioch, a city with great historical and religious significance. It was here that the followers of Jesus were first called “Christians” and the city is home to the Church of Peter, a cave church believed to be the place where early Christians met in secret. We will also visit the Antakya Archaeological Museum, which houses one of the world’s finest collections of mosaics. We will spend the night in Adana.

Day 8 St. Paul Cave Church – Cappadocia

After breakfast, we will embark on a journey to Tarsus, the hometown of the apostle Paul. Upon arrival, we will visit the only Catholic church dedicated to Paul in Tarsus. From Tarsus, we will continue to Cappadocia, where we will spend the night. Cappadocia is a region known for its unique geological formations and rich cultural history.

Day 9 Cappadocia – Goreme Open Air Museum

After breakfast, we will embark on a tour of Cappadocia, visiting the Goreme Open Air Museum, Dervent Valley, and Pasabag Valley. After a lunch break, we will have the opportunity to go on a guided shopping tour, where you can learn about the ancient arts and crafts of Turkey, such as carpet weaving, leather manufacturing, and jewelry making. Our guide will ensure that you have a hassle-free shopping experience while gaining knowledge about the ancient craftsmen of Turkey. After the tour, we will be transferred back to our hotel in Cappadocia. The evening is free to spend as you wish.

Day 10 Cappadocia – Kaymakli Underground City

After breakfast, we will visit the Kaymakli Underground City, one of the most fascinating sites in Cappadocia. These underground cities were used by early Christians to hide from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes, and were self-sufficient with rooms for storing crops, barns, kitchens, and ventilation channels. The second part of our Cappadocia Tour will include visits to Uchisar Castle, Avcilar, and Pigeon Valley. After the tour, we will be transferred back to our hotel in Cappadocia for the night.

Day 11 Cappadocia – Departure

After a filling breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to Cappadocia and check out of the hotel. We will transfer to Kayseri Airport to catch our flight to Istanbul, where our tour will come to an end. Although the tour has come to a close, the memories of our journey through Turkey will stay with us forever.

Ephesus is clearly the crown jewel of the 7 Churches of Revelation . Ephesus was once a bustling port town, and you can still see the beautiful remains of that town today. During your visit to Ephesus, you can check out the library, the theater, and the ancient port. You’ll also have a chance to visit the Basilica Church of St. John. With ancient architecture and a wealth of Christian history, Ephesus is one of the most popular visits on our Turkey tours.

Smyrna — or Izmir — is another one of the 7 Churches of Revelation. As the third-largest city in Turkey, there’s a lot to do and see. While visiting Izmir, you’ll enjoy a visit to the Church of Polycarp and the ancient Agora. Izmir is normally the first city your tour will visit for many of our Turkey and Greece tour options.

Pergamum is where the first executions of Christians by Rome took place. We offer several Turkey tour packages that give you a chance to visit this ancient Greek city. During your visit to Pergamum, you’ll see the Acropolis, the Royal Gates, and the ruins of the Library of Pergamum. Thyatira used to be a busy trading post where wool workers, dyers, leather workers, and potters would come to sell and trade goods. This ancient city has also gone by two other names throughout its history: Pelopia and Semiramis. Thyatira may have been one of the cities the Apostle Paul visited during his second or third journey. A storied history and several Christian landmarks make Thyatira a popular destination during your Biblical tour of Turkey.

While Thyatira was home to many dyers and wool workers, Sardis is where the practice of dying wool began. While you’re in Sardis, you can visit the gymnasium and synagogue to get a better feel for the city and what it might have been like thousands of years ago. Philadelphia

After you’re finished seeing Sardis, you can take a trip to nearby Philadelphia to see the remains of this once-great city. Philadelphia was conquered by the Ottomans in 1390, so there isn’t a whole lot left to see in this ancient city. Still, Philadelphia is a revered historical Christian location because it played an important role in the Book of Revelation. Today, the ancient wall and the remains of a Byzantine basilica are all that remain.

Pentru a intra pe teritoriul Turciei este nevoie de pasaport valabil minim 150 de zile de la întoarcerea în România sau Carte de Identitate valabilă minim 150 de zile de la întoarcerea în România (din 01.06.2024 cetățenii români pot călători cu Carte de Identitate în Republica Turcia).

Înainte de a călători

Documentele de călătorie 

Pe lângă voucherele de cazare și biletele de avion este bine să vă verificați și documentele de călătorie înainte de a merge la aeroport. Începând cu data de 1 Iunie 2024, accesul în Republica Turcia este permis în baza Cărții de Identitate sau a unui pașaport (electronic sau temporar) cu o valabilitate de minim 150 de zile de la data intrării pe teritoriul Turciei, iar pașaportul să dispună de cel puțin o filă goală.

Cetăţenii români care călătoresc în Turcia în scop turistic nu au nevoie de viză de intrare pe teritoriul acestui stat. Perioada de şedere nu poate depăşi 90 zile într-un interval de 6 luni. Perioada de şedere se calculează retroactiv, de la data ieşirii din Republica Turcia, iar nu de la data primei intrări.

Dacă călătoriți alături de un minor, vă rugăm să vizitați site-ul celor de la Poliția de frontieră Română pentru a afla mai multe despre documentele necesare.

În cazul cetățenilor străini, avem rugămintea de a verifica condițiile de intrare în Republica Turcia cu autoritățile competente sau cu cei de la Ambasada Republicii Turcia.

Înainte de a ajunge la aeroportul din România, vă rugăm să vă asigurați că aveți asupra dumneavoastră pe lângă documentele oferite în agenție, pașaport și asigurarea medicală de călătorie. Pentru Turcia se recomandă o asigurare de călătorie cu o valoare a poliței de minim 30.000 de euro.

Vă rugăm să acordați o atenție deosebită și pregătirii bagajelor. Majoritatea pachetelor noastre includ un bagaj de cală de 20 kg și un bagaj de mână pentru persoanele cu vârsta de peste 2 ani. Copiii până la 2 ani (infanți) pot transporta 1 cărucior pliabil gratuit. În cazuri excepționale, 1 (un) cărucior pliabil poate fi acceptat gratuit pentru copiii cu vârsta de până la 4 ani, dacă confortul copilului depinde de acesta. Copiilor până la 2 ani (infanți) li se permite gratuit 1 bagaj de până la 10 kg şi a cărei sumă a dimensiunilor nu poate depăşi 115 cm. 

În cazul în care aveți nevoie de un bagaj special (echipament de kitesurfing, echipament golf, etc.) vă rugăm să ne contactați cu minim 7 zile înainte de data de plecare, pentru a evita refuzarea acestuia în aeroport.

Vă reamintim că condițiile de intrare în Republica Turcia pot suporta modificări, de aceea vă recomandăm ca înainte de a călători să verificați întotdeauna condițiile de călătorie cu autoritățile sanitare și de frontieră oficiale și să vă asigurați că aveți cele mai recente informații. Este responsabilitatea dvs. să fiți la curent cu restricțiile de călătorie relevante, pentru a vă asigura că sunteți eligibil pentru a intra într-o țară și că sunteți apt de călătorie.

Zborul România – Turcia

Pe durata zborului avem rugămintea de a respecta politica companiei aeriene. Dacă transportatorul consideră că unul dintre pasageri are un comportament care ar putea afecta aeronava, persoanele sau bunurile din aeronavă, transportatorul poate lua măsurile necesare pentru a preveni continuarea unei astfel de comportări, inclusiv constrângerea. Pasagerii pot fi debarcaţi şi li se poate refuza călătoria de continuare în oricare punct şi pot fi daţi în judecată pentru ofensa adusă la bordul aeronavei.

Dacă întâmpinați dificultăți la preluarea bagajului de cală pe Aeroportul din Turcia, avem rugămintea de a vă adresa companiei aeriene cu care ați călătorit, precum și Biroului Lost & Found amplasat în sala de recuperare bagaje a terminalului Sosiri.Vă reamintim că reprezentanții Karpaten și partenerii locali nu au acces în interiorul aeroportului, însă trebuie să-i contactați pentru a vă așteapta la transfer. Reprezentanții Karpaten vă vor aștepta în exteriorul aeroportului, la terminalul sosiri și vă vor direcționa către mașinile sau autocarele de transfer, pe baza voucherului de cazare.

Ajunși la hotel, trebuie să aveți în vedere că în general check-in-ul se efectuează după ora 14:00, iar check-out-ul până la ora 12:00. Camerele sunt distribuite la recepție în funcție de disponibilitate. În unele cazuri există posibilitatea de a se efectua early check-in, dar pot apărea costuri suplimentare.

Vom încerca să îndeplinim fiecare solicitare specială solicitată din țară, însă trebuie avut în vedere că unele hoteluri pot considera patul dublu (matrimonial) două paturi de o persoană alipite. Patul suplimentar diferă în funcție de hotel și poate consta într-un pat de o persoană, pat pliant, canapea su fotoliu extensibil. Pentru cină, ținuta decentă este obligatorie. Domnii au acces cu pantalon lung și încălțăminte închisă (nu în pantalon scurt și papuci sau sandale), iar doamnele în ținută decentă.

Informații utile pentru timpul petrecut în Turcia

Pentru a vă bucura pe deplin de vacanța dumneavoastră în Turcia, v-am pregătit o serie de informații utile și recomandări:

Turcia este situată în fusul orar GMT+03:00. 

Moneda națională este lira turcească. Vă recomandăm plățile în numerar. 

Negocierea este o artă în țările arabe. Vă recomandăm să negociați atunci când mergeți la cumpărături, în unele cazuri puteți achiziționa un produs la jumătate din prețul inițial. 

Bacșișurile nu sunt obligatorii, dar se încurajează.

Îmbrăcămintea din fibre naturale, precum bumbacul sau inul, în culori deschise sunt ideale pentru vizitele în oraș sau când alegeți să faceți o excursie opțională.Pălăriile și ochelarii de soare sunt obligatorii, la fel și crema de protecție solară cu factor ridicat. 

Femeilor le recomandăm să adopte o îmbrăcăminte decentă atunci când ies în zonele publice.

Ceaiul este alături de cafea, băutura preferată a poporului turc. În unele magazine, vânzătorii vă pot oferi un pahar de ceai, acesta fiind un simbol al prieteniei și al ospitalității. 

Costurile pentru apelurile telefonice/ mesaje/ internet sunt ridicate dacă alegeți să folosiți rețeaua mobilă din țară. Vă recomandăm să achiziționați o cartelă locală.

Adaptoarele nu sunt necesare, prizele fiind de tip C și F – prize rotunde cu două prinderi. Tensiunea standard este de 220V.

Dronele cu o greutate mai mică de 500 de grame pot fi folosite pe teritoriul Turciei. În cazul dronelor ce depășesc această greutate aveți nevoie de o aprobare în prealabil de la Direcția Generală a Aviație Civile Turce.

Transportul cu taxiul nu presupune costuri mari, deși în zonele dezvoltate turistic mai sunt șoferi care încearcă să solicite tarife mai mari.
