e-Tourist Visa Scheme - Fly to India trouble-free

Tourism has grown leaps and bounds over the years in India, with each region contributing something to its splendor and exuberance. India's rich cultural diversity reflects through its people, languages, cuisine, traditions, customs, music, dance, religious practices and festivals, its holistic healing traditions, art and craft.

To make travel to India trouble-free and unforgettable for foreign tourists, the Government of India launched e-Tourist Visa scheme - External Website that opens in a new window on November 27, 2014 to 43 countries from nine designated Indian Airports. The Government extended this Scheme to the citizens of Guyana and Sri Lanka in January, 2015 and April, 2015, respectively. The e-Tourist Visa facility - External Website that opens in a new window was extended to the nationals of 31 countries in May, 2015. With more addition, the total number of countries under the scheme is 76. The scheme will be extended to more countries in a phased manner. The Government is aiming to extend this scheme to 150 countries to encourage and promote tourism in India.

• International Travellers whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.
• Passport should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
• International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket, with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
• International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.
• Not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders.
• Not available to individuals endorsed on Parent's/Spouse's Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.
• Not available to International Travel Document holders.

The documents required for e-Tourist Visa (eTV)

• Format -PDF
• Size : Minimum 10 KB ,Maximum 300 KB

The digital photograph to be uploaded along with the Visa application should meet the following requirements:

• Format - JPEG
• Size: a. Minimum 10 KB b. Maximum 1 MB
• The height and width of the Photo must be equal.
• Photo should present Full face, front view, eyes open.
• Center head within frame and present full head from top of hair to bottom of chin.
• Background should be plain light colored or white background.
• No shadows on the face or on the background.
• Without borders

• Applicants of the eligible countries may apply online minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival with a window of 30 days. Example: If you are applying on 1st Sept. then applicant can select arrival date from 5th Sept. to 4th Oct.
• Recent front facing photograph with white background and photo page of Passport containing personal details like name, date of birth, nationality, expiry date etc. to be uploaded by the applicant. The application is liable to be rejected if the uploaded document and photograph are not clear/as per specification.
• e-Tourist Visa (eTV) - External Website that opens in a new window fee is US$ 60/- per passenger excluding interchange charge for credit/debit cards. The fee must be paid at least 4 days before the expected date of travel filled by you otherwise application will not be processed.
• eTV - External Website that opens in a new window fee once submitted is non-refundable as the fee is for processing of the application and is not dependent on either Grant or Rejection of VISA.
• Applicant should carry a copy of eTV - External Website that opens in a new window along with him/her at the time of travel.
• Biometric details of the applicant will be mandatorily captured at Immigration on arrival in India.
• The validity of visa will be 30 days from the date of arrival in India.
• eTV - External Website that opens in a new window is valid for entry through 9 designated Airports i.e. Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai & Trivandrum. However, the foreigner can take exit from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.
• This facility is in addition to the existing Visa services.
• eTV - External Website that opens in a new window is allowed for a maximum of two visits in a calendar year.
• eTV - External Website that opens in a new window once issued on arrival is Only single entry, non-extendable, non-convertible & not valid for visiting Protected/Restricted and Cantonment Areas.
• Applicants can track the status of their application online by clicking visa status.
• Please be careful while making payment of the eTV - External Website that opens in a new window fee. If the number of unsuccessful attempts is more than three (03), then the application id would be blocked and the applicant would be required to apply afresh by filling the application form again and regenerating a new application id.
• Before re-applying, the applicants are requested to wait for 4 hours for payment status updating, after final submission of the application form and payment of the fee. The payment status updating may take up to 4 hours.
• Nationals of Yellow Fever affected countries must carry YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CARD at the time of arrival in India, otherwise they may be quarantined for 6 days upon arrival in India. India e-Visa: A step-by-step guide to apply for your Indian tourist visa.

If you are planning to visit India you need to get a visa to enter the country. Here is our step-by-step guide to help you apply for your India e-Visa. 

What is a visa? 

A visa for travel is an official document that allows the visitor to legally enter a foreign country. 

The visa is usually stamped or glued into the holder’s passport.  

There are different types of visas that each allow the holder different rights in the host country including tourist, work, business, or transit visas. 

You will probably need a visa for India. 

Almost everyone needs a visa to visit and travel in India.  But for most nationalities a tourist visa is easy to get. 

Citizens of 164 countries – including New Zealand, Australia, UK, US, most nations in the EU and many countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East – can apply for an e-Visa for India before traveling. 

What is an e-Visa and how does that work for India? 

An e-Visa for India is an electronic visa application.  Back in the day the only way to apply for a visa for travel meant visiting an embassy or consulate to receive a hard-copy visa directly in your passport. 

Now it is possible to apply for an Indian e-Visa which, if successful, grants you authorization to enter India by applying online. 

Assuming the application is accepted you will receive a digital Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by email which you need to print out and carry with you when you travel to India.  

Types of India e-Visa

There are currently 6 types of Indian e-Visas available:

• e-Tourist Visa
• e-Business Visa
• e-Conference Visa
• e-Medical Visa
• e-Medical Attendant Visa
• e-Emergency X-Misc Visa

This blog post will focus on the application process for the most common visa for travellers to India; the  e-Tourist Visa .

So, what do you need before you apply for your Indian e-Visa? 

You need some patience.  And about an hour…

And you do need to prepare a few specific documents and information.

• Passport photo:  A recent passport photo of yourself that is at least 10KB and a maximum 1MB. The photo must show the full face with a white or light-coloured background. The photo must be in JPEG format.
• Scanned Passport ID Page : Scanned ID page of your passport in PDF format. Size must be between 10KB and 300KB.

INFORMATION:

• Contact in India:  In the application you will be asked to provide information about a reference name in India. If you don’t have a personal contact in India you can use the name and address of your first accommodation in India. 
• Your e-Visa fee payment: You can make an online payment for your India e-Visa using a VISA or MasterCard or via PayPal. 

Note also that your passport needs to be  valid for six months  beyond the date of entry and you need  two spare pages  for the visa, which will be physically stamped into your passport on your arrival in India. 

How long is the visa valid for? How long can you stay in India? 

Tourist e-Visas for India are available for 30 days, 1 year or 5 years, with the 1- and 5-year visas allowing for multiple entry. (Note that for the 1- and 5-year visas there are restrictions on continuous stays during that time of 90 or 180 days depending on your nationality).

This blog post will focus on the application process for the  eTourist Visa (for 30 Days) . 

How to apply for an India e-visa

There is only one official website to get an Indian e-Visa provided by the Government of India:  https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html

Follow the link and let’s get started. 

On the website homepage click on the ‘Apply here for e-visa’ tab on the bottom left of the screen.

Page 1 – e-Visa Application 

Fill out the first page with generic information about yourself as well as your email address (this is where you will receive the e-Visa). 

Under “Visa Service” you can choose the type of Visa you want to apply for: 

• eTourist Visa  (for 30 Days)
• eTourist Visa  (for 1 Year)
• eTourist Visa  (for 5 Years)
• TIP:  The 30 days, 1 year and 5 year e-Tourist Visa validity period begins from the date of first arrival in India.  (It is not related to when you submit the e-Visa application).  If applying for a 30-Day India Visa your successful application will be granted with 30 days until the Date of Expiry of the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation). Make sure this covers beyond your expected Date of Arrival.

Page 2 – Applicant Details

The second page of the application asks you to fill in more information about yourself.  The forms ask you about religion, education and more.  (You may type “None” next to ‘Visible identification marks’ if you do not have any to note). 

• TIP: Take note of the Temporary Application ID number that pops up at this stage (just in case you hit save and exit the application by mistake). You will need this to log back in if you exit the page.

The last question under ‘Applicant Details’ asks, “Have you lived for at least two years in the country where you are applying visa?” This refers to the  country you currently live in  and not your birth country (and not India), in case they are different. 

Add your passport details and – optionally – you can add a second passport.  If you select “No” the form fields will disappear. 

Page 3 – Applicant Details 

On the third page you need to fill in all the current information about your present and permanent address.  You need to provide your family information (Mother and Father’s details) as well as your profession, occupation and marital status. 

You are also asked on this page if your parents of Grandparents (paternal or maternal) are of Pakistani heritage. 

Page 4 – India Travel Plans

This page requires information about your travel plans in India including your expected Port of Arrival, planned Port of Exit and places you have previously visited in India. 

Under ‘Other Information’ you are also required to list the countries you have visited in the last 10 years(!). 

And the next step asks if you have visited  SAARC  countries during the last  three years.   SAARC stands for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation and has eight member countries ( Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka ).  You will need to list any of these if you have visited recently. 

You also need to name a  reference in name in India  and a  reference name in your home country . 

• TIP:  If you do not know anyone in India you can fill in these fields with the information provided by one of the accommodations you are staying at. 

Page 5 – Declarations

This page asks about any criminal records.  Note that all the answers are on “Yes” by default.  Make sure to read the page carefully and click the box for “No” to each of them.  Tick the bold declaration at the end of the page and press ‘Continue’. 

Page 6 – Upload Documents

After the above step you will be asked to upload your photos.  First upload the passport image (photo) and press “Continue”.  On a different page, you will be asked to next upload a photo of your passport ID page. 

After the uploads are complete, the next step is the payment of the e-Visa fee. 

Page 7 – Online VISA Fee Payment

Check and read the information before selecting “Yes” and “Pay Now”.  

• TIP: Be sure to record or screenshot the Application ID as you will need this number to check the payment status (and for trying again if the first payment doesn’t go through!).

You will be redirected to the payment page and can now made your e-Visa payment by debit or credit card or PayPal.  

Note that the payment must be made at least 4 days before your expected date of travel, or your Indian e-Visa application will not be processed. 

There is a 2.5% bank charge for payments made on the website, in addition to the e-Visa fee.  (Your own bank may also charge you for a foreign currency transaction fee or conversion).

The payment for the Indian e-Visa is non-refundable, whether or not your application is successful.

Page 8 – Application complete

Congrats! You have just completed the process of applying for your Indian e-Visa!  

Now all you need to do is wait (processing time up to 72 hours) until you receive confirmation (and hopefully your Indian e-Visa) to the email address you supplied on Page 1.  

• TIP: When you receive your Indian e-Visa it is titled as an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation). Make sure you double check all details are correct and that the Date of Expiry of ETA is beyond your expected date of arrival in India .

For all further information (and to clarify anything official) refer to the e-Visa support center  website . 

How long does it take to receive the visa after applying?  

It states on the official website that it takes up to 72 hours to process, so be sure to apply in plenty of time (at least more than 4 days in advance).  *In actual fact it took less than 48 hours for our Indian e-Visa to be granted.

Your Visa will be granted with 30 days until the Date of Expiry of the ETA from the date you submit your application.

When can you apply for an India e-Visa? 

• For e-Tourist Visas (30 days)  the application can be made  up to 30 days  in advance and a  minimum of 4 days  before the date of travel. As above, it can take up to 72 hours to process (though our processing time was less than 48 hours).
• For e-Tourist Visas (1 year / 5 years)  visitors can apply  up to 120 days prior to the date of their trip and  no less than 4 days  before the departure date.

Do I need to print my India e-Visa? 

Yes.   You do need to print your India e-Visa.  You are required to bring a printed copy of your e-Visa when you enter India. 

Before you arrive in India

Once you’ve submitted your e-Visa application and payment you should receive and email confirming the application has been successfully received. 

The processing time is then up to 72 hours and if your application is successful, you will be notified by a further email that will hopefully include, “ Application Status: Granted ”.  (Note that your India e-Visa is also referred to as Electronic Travel Authorization ETA). 

• TIP:  Make sure to review your personal details on the ETA and the Date of Expiry of ETA in the email and make sure everything is correct and accurate.

As above, you need to   print a copy of your e-Visa  and download the email or screenshot the e-Visa to your phone. 

• TIP:  It is likely you will be asked to show  proof of your Indian tourist visa  at the check-in desk when departing your home country or flight to India.  

When you arrive at immigration in India you should see a specific line for people with e-Visas.  Here you simply need to present you printed-out e-Visa along with your passport.  Your photo and fingerprints will be taken (this is standard practice).  The immigration officer will ask you a few questions about your planned trip in India and stamp your passport.

Thanks this was very helpful, BUT, if you are using a Mac DO NOT USE SAFARI. Yes, you will be able to waste 30 minutes filling in the form, get to the payment page and be locked out!

The application form is written for PC users, so use MICROSOFT EDGE and it works perfectly! This will save so much time & arguments!

Who requires the India Tourist eVisa?

The India Tourist eVisa is available to citizens of many countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Visa-exempt: Who doesn't need to apply for India Tourist eVisa?

Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan do not require a visa to enter India. These travelers can enter, live, and work in India without a visa. For all other nationalities, a visa or eVisa is typically necessary to travel to India. Do children also require the India Tourist eVisa?

Yes, children require an India Tourist eVisa just like adults. The application process is the same for minors, and they must have a visa to enter India regardless of their age.

When applying for a visa for a minor, legal guardians need to provide additional documents:

A copy of the minor’s birth certificate.

Copies of the passports of the child's parents or legal guardians.

A consent letter signed by both parents or legal guardians, which authorizes the child's travel to India.

These extra steps ensure the safety and proper documentation of minors traveling to India.

India Tourist eVisa validity: How long can I stay in India?

Here are the options for the India Tourist eVisa we offer, along with their validity and entry types:

30-day double-entry visa: This eVisa allows two entries into India and is valid for 30 days, so you must use it to enter India within that time. You also have 30 days max stay from the date of your first entry.

1-year multiple-entry visa: This visa is valid for one year from the date of issuance. You can enter India multiple times during the year, and it permits stays of up to 90 days per visit for most nationalities, except for the U.S., UK, and Canada, who can stay for up to 180 days per visit. The maximum stay for all nationalities is 180 days per year.

5-year multiple-entry visa: This eVisa offers the greatest flexibility. Valid for 5 years from the date of issue, it allows multiple entries, with each stay capped at 90 days. Except for those from the U.S., UK, and Canada, who can stay for up to 180 days. The maximum stay within a year for all nationalities is 180 days.

How to read your Tourist Visa validity

Validity period: How long can your visa be used for.

Max stay: The longest you can stay in India each time you visit.

Expiry date: This depends on which visa type you have.

For example:

If you've got a 30-day India Tourist eVisa, and the expiry date is March 14:

The latest date you can enter India is March 14, 2024.

This is the expiry date of your visa. From this date, you're allowed to stay in the country for up to 30 days.

If you've got a 1-year or 5-year India Tourist eVisa, and the expiry date is March 14:

The latest date you can leave India is March 14, 2024.

The expiry date, in this case is the date by which you must depart India.

You can stay in India for as long as your maximum stay but not longer than the validity period.

Can I extend my India Tourist eVisa?

Generally, the India Tourist eVisa cannot be extended. Tourists are expected to adhere to the validity period specified on their eVisa—either 30 days, 90 days per visit on the 1-year visa, or 90 days per visit on the 5-year visa.

If you need to stay longer than the terms of your original visa due to exceptional circumstances, you must apply through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) in India. For detailed procedures and exceptions, it’s advisable to consult the official Indian government immigration website .

The India Tourist eVisa's validity may not align perfectly with your travel plans due to the preset maximum durations and entry rules associated with different visa types.

For example, if you were issued a one-month visa, you can’t stay longer than 30 days in the country. Even if you have a 1-year or 5-year visa, each stay cannot exceed the stipulated maximum duration (usually 180 days per visit).

If your visa doesn't cover the entire duration of your planned stay, you'll need to either adjust your travel dates or explore options for extending your visa in India, though extensions might not always be possible for eVisas.​

Generally, the 1-year tourist eVisa doesn't allow stays longer than 180 days per entry. If you wish to stay longer, you would need to leave India and re-enter if your visa type allows multiple entries. Direct extensions of a tourist eVisa within India are not typically granted. You might need to check if a different type of visa is more suitable for longer stays or consider structuring your visits within the allowed limits.​

What is Indian e-Visa?

The Indian e-Visa or Electronic Visa (eTV) is an online travel authorization. It is a multiple entries visa for the e-Tourist and e-Business with a validity period of 365 days and triple entry for the e-Medical and e-Medical Attendant along with a validity period of 60 consecutive days and a single entry for e-Conference with the validity of 30 days.

• It is issued for attending business meetings or trade or to set up Industrial / business venture.
• It can also be issued to deliver lectures under Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN).
• For recruitment purpose or to conduct tours (as a tour guide).
• Can be issued to an expert or specialist in connection with an on-going project.
• The Indian e-Medical Visa allows the applicant to enter the country 3 times in a year.
• This e-Visa is for short term and granted for Medical treatment purpose only.
• Traveller need to show proof for medical / diagnosis history issued by Indian Hospital to apply for the same.
• The Indian e-Conference visa is permitted single entry and stays days in India will be 30 days.
• It's workshops held in India to discuss a particular subject or for international seminars or conferences.
• The delegates should produce an invitation letter to the seminar/conference or workshop that has been organized by the NGOs/private institutions, government-owned institutions, UN, Specialized agencies, any Ministry or department of the Indian government or UT administrations
• This Indian e-medical attendant visa has the same validity as the Indian e-medical visa.
• The patient already has an e-medical visa that serves them alone and can be granted only to a maximum of two family members.
• It is an Indian Electronic Visa given to immediate relatives of patients visiting India to seek medical attention.

Document Requirements

The document requirements for the online submission of visa application form are as follows:

Digital Photograph

You should submit a recent image of your photo that is colored. You will upload it as you fill the form. It is important that the size of your photograph matches with the recommended one. Otherwise, you may be unable to upload it.

Scanned copy of the Passport

You should take a quality scan copy that clearly shows your details especially the name. The passport you scan should have at least a validity of six months and two blank pages. Without this, getting the e-visa may be problematic.

You will need some other documents for applying Indian e-Business Visa or Indian e-Medical Visa .

How to apply India eVisa?

Want to travel to India and apply online for India e-Visa? Getting an India visa is so easy in 2024. Before starting to apply for an online e-Visa. You have to know about Documents Required for India Visa . Here are following some steps to apply online:

Step to apply online India eVisa application form

• 1. You have to click on the Indian Visa for apply eVisa, Then you will get some major steps. you have to enter your Email, Phone No. & select your Passport nationality. also, it's important to select the visa type according to the purpose of your trip and select Port of Arrival & Date of Arrival. • 5. You have to fill Place to be Visited, say the place in India where you are interested in & select the Expected Port of Exit. If you have ever been to India before, select yes. Then you have to fill some details of the last Visited. In reference put your contact person in India. You can put a hotel contact details but should be accurate. Also a reference in your country your friend, family person anyone. fill all the necessary details. Click save and continue for the next step:

• 6. Application Registration fifth page, you will be asked some questions in step 5. When you click preview and submit application, it takes you to the preview page to check “is everything correct?

• 7. This is the last chance to make a change. If you want to make any changes, you can change it by clicking on the edit button. double-check then verify and submit the application.

• 8. Next page upload applicant photo & passport, if you are applying for Indian e-Business Visa, India Medical e-Visa, India Conference e-Visa. then you need to provide some other documents ( Documents Required for Indian e visa ) along with the previously mentioned documents.

• 9. Make payment for the successful submission of your online visa application. You can easily pay by a debit/credit card or Paypal account & we accept multi-currencies. Indian Visa fees are according to nationality and visa type.

• 10. After making the payment you will get your e-Visa according to your application processing time. You will get your visa letter on the email provided in the visa application form. You have to get it printed and keep it with you while traveling.

Prix des visas touristiques

4 options sont disponibles pour la durée des visas touristiques en Inde . Sachez que si vous sortez du pays avec un visa de 30 jours, vous devrez refaire une demande en ligne. Les visas de 1 et 5 ans permettent de rentrer et sortir du pays autant de fois que souhaité.

  Durée maximale d’un séjour

Les voyages ne doivent pas excéder 3 mois. Si vous souhaitez rester plus longtemps, vous pouvez entrer dans un pays voisin puis revenir (vous pouvez même le faire en une seule journée) pour bénéficier de nouveau à une autorisation de 3 mois de séjour. Si vous êtes dans le Nord, le plus simple est de se rendre à la frontière népalaise, entrer, puis revenir (le visa à l’arrivée y est disponible, ce qui n’est pas le cas du Bangladesh et du Pakistan) ou vous rendre au Sri Lanka si vous êtes dans le Sud.

Note : Un visa d’un an ne permet que de rester sur le territoire que 180 jours par sessions de 90 jours maximum. Pour renouveler cette période de 90 jours et bénéficier de la même durée supplémentaire, vous devez sortir du pays. Vous pouvez par exemple le faire par voie terrestre et traverser la frontière du Népal .

Où faire la demande du e-Visa Inde en ligne ?

Vous devez vous rendre uniquement sur le site du gouvernement pour appliquer une demande de visa en ligne. Il existe une multitude de sites frauduleux qui doivent êtres évités. De nombreuses personnes tombent dans le piège.

    Une fois sur le site, rendez-vous en bas de page et cliquez sur Apply here for e-Visa (voir la photo ci-dessous) . Lorsque vous aurez rempli la première page, votre numéro d’application vous sera attribué par mail. Vous pourrez continuer la procédure de visa plus tard en cliquant sur la troisième case en y inscrivant ce même numéro.

Dans un premier temps, la méthode la plus simple est de scanner une photo d’identité. Celle-ci doit obligatoirement être récente. Votre demande de visa pourrait être refusée le cas échéant.

  Poids et format

Votre photo doit peser au minimum 10 KB et au maximum 1 MB . Ses dimensions doivent être de 350×350 pixels. Vous ne devez pas utiliser la même photo que celle de votre passeport.

Notez que : 1 Ko = 8 Kb

Important : votre photo doit être la plus claire et nette possible au risque de voir votre visa rejeté. La photo doit être rognée au maximum au-dessus de votre torse. Vos épaules doivent être apparentes.

  Si vous n’avez pas accès à un photomaton

Vous pouvez le faire chez vous si vous en avez les moyens (je l’ai fait 4 fois)  :  

● Prenez-vous en photo avec un appareil ou un téléphone portable contre un fond clair et neutre (dans une teinte de blanc de préférence ou toute autre couleur très claire) . Faites en sorte d’éviter les ombres – utilisez le flash si nécessaire mais évitez la surexposition – votre visage doit être découvert, sans piercings, lunettes ou autres bijoux (voir l’exemple de ma photo plus bas) .  

● Avec l’aide de divers logiciels de retouche, vous pourrez supprimer les parasites si il y en a sur votre fond. J’ai pour ma part effacé proprement bon nombre d’impuretés.    

Comment réduire le poids et modifier les dimensions d’une photo ?

Dimensions et format.

  1.  Dans un premier temps je vous invite à télécharger le logiciel photofiltre (c’est un outil très simple à la portée de tous) .  

2. Installez-le.  

3.  Faites glisser votre photo dans l’interface puis recadrez la en restant appuyé sur le clic gauche tout en faisant glisser la souris. Ensuite, donnez lui une forme parfaitement carrée depuis le bas de la colonne de droite en cliquant sur le signe «  =  » puis ajustez de nouveau votre cadre depuis l’interface. (Voir en photo)  

4.   Redimensionnez votre image aux mesures demandées en faisant un clic gauche sur votre image (toujours depuis l’interface) . Sélectionnez « Taille de l’image… » puis remplacez la largeur et la hauteur par 350 puis cliquez sur « OK ».    

5. Enregistrer la photo au bon format  : allez dans « Fichier » > Enregistrer sous : assurez-vous ici que le format soit bien défini sur JPEG puis enregistrez.  

6. Première compression (n’y touchez pas si votre image est déjà optimisée)  : faites glisser le curseur jusqu’à 70 voire 65 si votre photo est très lourde. Cet outil réduira son poids (suivez la suite pour compléter la compression) .

  1. Pour compresser et réduire le poids de votre photo, vous pouvez utiliser un outil en ligne (voir le lien ci-dessous) . Elle se compressera automatiquement lors de l’upload puis vous n’aurez plus qu’à la télécharger. Répétez la manœuvre si besoin mais assurez-vous que la qualité ne soit pas dégradée.

2. Votre image est prête à être uploadée sur le site du gouvernement.

2️⃣ Passeport

  La taille de votre passeport scanné au format PDF doit être :

● Au minimum de 10 KB ● Au maximum de 300 KB

Notez que : 1 Mo = 1024 Kb

Vous pouvez aussi prendre votre passeport en photo mais sachez que cela nécessite une grande minutie puisque tous les détails doivent apparaître. Je vous conseille vivement de scanner votre passeport pour cette étape.

1.  Faites une capture d’écran de votre passeport > Enregistrez la > Passez la nouvelle image sur photofiltre > Définissez sa largeur à 800 et sa hauteur à 1100 ≈ approximativement (voir le tutoriel de la section précédente) > Allez dans Fichier > Puis enregistrez-sous en sélectionnant le format PNG (c’est l’un des plus légers) .

4.  Votre passeport est prêt à être uploadé. N’oubliez pas de cliquer sur Upload Document après avoir choisi votre fichier. Enfin, cochez la case en bas de page puis confirmez.

Vous avez l’option de régler votre e-Visa pour l’Inde par carte bancaire ou bien par PayPal. Choisissez l’option « Axis Bank » pour les règlements en CB. Attention  : le système peut être long et laisser penser que votre paiement n’a pas été pris en compte. De nombreuses personnes ont payé le double sans possibilités de remboursement.  

Obtention du visa et délais

Vous recevrez votre e-Visa sur votre boîte mail. Vous saurez s’il a été accepté si vous voyez la mention «  GRANTED « . Ce document doit être imprimé, c’est celui que vous devrez présenter aux douanes indiennes à votre arrivée. Les délais sont d’environ une semaine ou de quelques jours, mais cela peut-être aussi rapide que quelques heures comme ça a déjà été le cas pour moi.

Éligibilité

Le visa électronique est accordé à un étranger dont le seul objectif de visite en Inde est le loisir, la visite touristique, la visite occasionnelle pour rencontrer des amis ou des parents, la participation à un programme de yoga de courte durée, le traitement médical, y compris le traitement selon les systèmes indiens de médecine, et les affaires, à l’exclusion de tout autre objectif ou activité. Cette facilité ne sera pas disponible si la personne ou l’un de ses parents ou grands-parents (paternels ou maternels) est né ou a résidé en permanence au Pakistan. La facilité de visa électronique ne sera pas disponible pour les détenteurs de passeports diplomatiques/officiels, les détenteurs de passeports UNLP (UN Passport) et les détenteurs de documents de voyage internationaux, par exemple les fonctionnaires d’INTERPOL. La liste des pays dont les ressortissants peuvent actuellement bénéficier du visa électronique figure à l’annexe I.  

Sous-catégories de visa électronique

Il existe trois sous-catégories de visa électronique, à savoir (a) le visa touristique électronique : pour les loisirs, les visites touristiques, les visites occasionnelles pour rencontrer des amis ou des parents, et la participation à un programme de yoga de courte durée, (b) le visa d’affaires électronique : pour toutes les activités autorisées dans le cadre d’un visa d’affaires normal et (c) le visa médical électronique : pour les traitements médicaux, y compris les traitements dans le cadre des systèmes de médecine indiens. Un ressortissant étranger sera également autorisé à pratiquer ces activités s’il l’a clairement indiqué dans le formulaire de demande, accompagné des documents requis.  

Points d’entrée

Les personnes titulaires d’un visa électronique ne sont autorisées à entrer en Inde que par les aéroports internationaux désignés, à savoir (1) Delhi (2) Mumbai (3) Chennai (4) Kolkata (5) Trivandrum (6) Bangalore (7) Hyderabad (8) Cochin (9) Goa (10) Ahmedabad (11) Amritsar (12) Gaya (13) Jaipur (14) Lucknow (15) Trichy (16) Varanasi (17) Calicut (18) Mangalore (19) Pune (20) Nagpur (21) Coimbatore (22) Bagdogra (23) Guwahati , (24) Chandigarh et (25) Visakhapatnam. En outre, le visa électronique est également délivré pour l’entrée dans cinq grands ports maritimes indiens, à savoir (1) Mumbai (2) Cochin (3) Mormugao (4) Chennai et (5) New Mangalore pour les touristes en croisière. Les personnes titulaires d’un visa électronique peuvent quitter n’importe quel poste de contrôle de l’immigration autorisé en Inde.  

Dans le cas du visa médical électronique, une prorogation peut être accordée jusqu’à six mois, au cas par cas, en fonction des mérites de chaque cas, par le FRRO/FRO concerné.  

Conditions d’octroi du visa électronique

Le visa électronique n’est pas prorogeable, sauf dans le cas du visa médical électronique mentionné au point 5 ci-dessus. Visites répétées

Le visa électronique ne peut être délivré à un étranger que deux fois au maximum par année civile.  

2️⃣ Visa à l’arrivée

Les visas à l’arrivée ne sont délivrés qu’aux citoyens Japonais.  

3️⃣ Visa de transit

Conditions d’octroi et autres conditions.

Un visa de transit est accordé à un étranger dans le seul but de lui permettre de voyager à travers l’Inde vers une destination hors de l’Inde. Une personne souhaitant effectuer deux entrées en Inde en transit au cours du même voyage peut obtenir un visa de transit valable pour deux entrées et pour un séjour en transit d’une durée n’excédant pas trois jours pour chaque voyage.  

Un visa de transit est normalement valable pour un seul voyage et pour une entrée dans les 15 jours suivant la date de délivrance. Si le voyage n’est pas effectué dans ce délai, un nouveau visa de transit est nécessaire. Un visa de transit n’est valable que pour un transit direct, qui ne peut excéder 3 jours par visite. Cette période n’est pas prolongeable, sauf en cas d’extrême urgence (grève, perturbation du trafic, intempéries, maladie, etc.).  

Personnes en transit direct par l’Inde

Un visa de transit n’est pas nécessaire pour les étrangers en transit direct par voie aérienne qui poursuivent leur voyage en Inde, à condition qu’ils ne quittent pas l’enceinte de l’aéroport. Un visa de transit n’est pas requis pour un étranger qui ne quitte pas son navire lors d’une escale dans un port indien.

Une photo d’identité scannée récente et un passeport en format PDF sont nécessaires pour faire une demande de e-visa pour l’Inde.

1. Pour les visas de 30 jours : Une fois votre demande approuvée, vous recevrez un ETA (Autorisation de voyage électronique) qui sera valide pendant 30 jours à compter de la date d’approbation. C’est-à-dire que vous aurez 30 jours à partir de ce moment pour vous rendre en Inde. Une fois arrivé(e) dans le pays, 30 jours de visa vous seront délivrés. 2. Pour les visas de plus de 30 jours : La validité de votre visa débute dès l’instant où vous recevez l’ETA. Exemple : Je fais une demande de visa de 1 AN au 1er janvier? puis je reçois l’ETA le 03 janvier. Je laisse passer le temps et je décide de partir en Inde le 03 février. J’aurais donc déjà perdu 1 mois sur l’année, puisque celle-ci ne commence pas dès l’instant où je me rend en Inde.

Les délais d’obtention du visa de l’Inde peuvent varier mais vont généralement de quelques jours, entre 24h et 72h, mais cela peut parfois prendre une semaine.

Les prix des visas touristiques pour l’Inde sont de 10 USD pour une durée de 1 mois (de avril à juin), 25 USD pour une durée de 1 mois (de juillet à mars), 40 USD pour un visa de 1 an et 80 USD pour un visa de 5 ans.

Non, le visa touristique d’un mois n’a qu’une seule entrée.

Les visa touristiques de 1 et 5 ans donnent la possibilité de sortir et rentrer dans le territoire autant de fois que souhaité.

Vous pouvez rester en Inde seulement 180 jours avec un visa d’un an. Chaque séjour ne doit pas excéder 90 jours consécutifs. Vous pouvez cependant vous rendre en Inde autant de fois que vous le souhaitez tant que le quota des 180 jours est respecté.

Seulement 2 e-visas par an sont accordés à l’appliquant.

Il peut y avoir plusieurs raisons. Une erreur d’information de votre part ou bien un problème avec la qualité des documents que vous avez fourni peut avoir causé le rejet de votre demande. Sachez que la moindre faute peut être pénalisante. Une des options sur votre situation peut aussi être à l’origine d’un refus (criminalité, affaires judiciaires, etc.) .

Vous ne pourrez pas recevoir de remboursement si votre demande de visa a été rejetée ou si vous avez payé deux fois.

De nombreuses compagnies peuvent s’occuper des démarches administratives à votre place. Je pense notamment à Action-Visas qui est une agence réputée et sérieuse mais vous devez savoir que les frais sont généralement élevés.

Vous devez faire une demande de e-visa sur le site du gouvernement indien puis vous rendre dans une ambassade ou un consulat avec votre e-visa imprimé, un passeport avec une validité de 6 mois au minimum ainsi que 3 pages vides successives et 2 photos d’identité 5×5 sur fond blanc et neutre.

Si vous n’avez toujours pas eu de réponses pour votre e-visa indien depuis plusieurs semaines, songez à contacter une ambassade ou un consulat puisque cela peut être dû à un problème administratif. Dans le pire des cas, vous avez peut-être fait une demande sur un site frauduleux, ce qui expliquerait le fait que vous restiez sans nouvelles.

Le visa « journaliste » est destiné aux personnes travaillant dans le secteur d’activité et désirant voyager en Inde pour n’importe quel motif. Ainsi, même si le but du séjour est le tourisme, le professionnel de la télévision ou de la presse doit solliciter un visa indien pour journaliste.

Ce permis de séjour apposé dans le passeport est valide pour une période de trois mois et permet une simple entrée. Le journaliste qui désire effectuer une activité personnelle en Inde doit remplir une attestation qui certifie qu’il n’exercera pas sa profession lors de son séjour. Ce formulaire est renseigné pendant la demande de visa à l’ambassade.

En somme, il existe deux grandes catégories (e-visa et visa apposé) de titre de séjour disponibles pour se rendre en Inde. Chacune de ces catégories comprend plusieurs types de visa. Le permis de séjour indien à solliciter dépend essentiellement de l’activité professionnelle du voyageur et du but de son séjour. Par ailleurs, la toute première condition pour obtenir un visa est de disposer d’un passeport en cours de validité.

Comment obtenir le e-visa officiel pour L'inde ?

Pour obtenir votre visa inde , il existe un certain nombre de procédures à suivre. Vous devez impérativement les connaitre afin de gagner en temps. L a première chose à faire est de constituer un dossier pour effectuer la demande. Plusieurs étapes constituent cette phase du processus.

Les documents à fournir Pour LE E-Visa TOURISME

Un formulaire à remplir

Étant donné que le visa touristique pour l’Inde est un  visa electronique , vous n’avez absolument pas besoin de vous rendre à l’ ambassade . Il vous faudra tout simplement remplir le formulaire en ligne afin d’obtenir votre e-visa Inde.

Une photo d’identité

Vous devez fournir un  photo d’identité numérique. Elle doit être en couleur sur fond clair. Les photos doivent également être prise par un professionnel ou dans une cabine photo maton utilisant le système agréé par le gouvernement comme c’est le cas pour faire un passeport ou une carte d’identité. Si tel n’est pas le cas, votre dossier sera tout simplement rejeté.

Un passeport

Le passeport est l’un des documents les plus importants à fournir afin d’obtenir votre droit d’entrée en Inde. Dans le cas où vous désirez obtenir un visa touristique classique, la validité de votre passeport devra être supérieure à six mois, à compter du jour du dépôt de votre demande au consulat indien. Si votre séjour touristique doit être plus long, vous devez impérativement fournir un passeport dont la validité s’étend jusqu’à 5 ans.

À cela, il faut ajouter que votre passeport doit également disposer de près de trois pages consécutives toutes libres d’une quelconque inscription pour recevoir le visa de l’Inde. Enfin, veillez à fournir un passeport propre et en bon état. S’il est abîmé, il sera rejeté.

La copie du passeport

Vous devez également fournir une copie de la page d’informations de votre passeport. Cette copie permettra au gouvernement indien d’en apprendre davantage sur l’identité du demandeur.

Le formulaire en ligne

Pour visiter l’Inde, vous devez nécessairement obtenir un  e-tourist visa . Pour obtenir ce visa, vous devez comme il est dit un peu plus haut, remplir un  formulaire en ligne . Il est recommandé de faire très attention en remplissant le formulaire. La moindre erreur peut entraîner le rejet pur et simple de votre demande. De plus, l’Inde est un pays où les langues officielles sont l’anglais et l’hindi. Si vous remplissez votre formulaire en français, votre demande sera rejetée.

Le formulaire doit donc être impérativement rempli en anglais. Si vous n’êtes pas très bon anglais, vous pouvez passer par une agence de visa. Elle jouera le rôle d’intermédiaire entre le consulat et vous. Vous pourrez donc leur faire parvenir vos informations en français et ils se chargeront de remplir le formulaire pour vous et d’effectuer toutes les autres démarches.

Le site officiel pour remplir son formulaire et faire sa demande

Le formulaire se remplit certes en ligne, mais pas sur n’importe quel site. Pour l’obtenir, vous devez vous vous rendre sur le site officiel du gouvernement indien . Vous devez donc y remplir directement le formulaire. Il est conseillé de faire très attention, car certains sites prétendent être le site officiel de l’Inde.

Toutefois, dans le cas où vous aurez décidé de passer par une  agence de visa , c’est elle qui se chargera de remplir ce formulaire pour vous directement en ligne.

Le prix du E-visa touristique

Pour entrer en Inde, vous devez absolument payer des  frais consulaire . Le  prix  du e-visa tourisme pour l’Inde est de 24 euros pour une durée de 30 jours maximum avec deux entrées autorisées sur le territoire indien. Si vous souhaitez rester plus longtemps en Inde, il existe un visa valide 90 jours qui vous coutera 37 € .

Quand obtenir son visa pour l'inde ?

Pour faire votre demande de visa , il est conseillé de la faire au bon moment. En effet, la procédure d’obtention du visa touristique pour l’Inde est assez complexe, c’est pourquoi vous devez la faire de nombreux jours avant la date prévue pour votre départ. De plus, le délai d’obtention du visa varie entre 3 jours à 6 jours en haute saison. Vous devez donc faire votre demande de visa assez tôt afin d’être sûr de l’obtenir à temps.

Certaines personnes ont tendance à faire une demande de visa de nombreux mois avant leur départ. Cela n’est absolument pas conseillé, car vous risquez de ne pas disposer d’assez de temps pour votre voyage. Si la durée du visa est par exemple de 6 mois et que vous faites la demande 120 jours avant votre voyage, il ne vous restera plus qu’un délai de validité de 2 mois. Pour éviter toute déconvenue, il est important d’en apprendre un peu plus sur la validité, la durée du séjour et le nombre d’entrées possible avec un  visa touristique  pour l’Inde.

La validité du visa

Le visa touristique pour l’Inde n’est pas délivré pour une durée illimitée. En effet, il a une période de validité assez précise. Pour un e-visa touristique classique, la validité est généralement de 1 mois . Cela veut dire que vous disposez d’un maximum de 30 jours après l’obtention de votre visa pour entrer en Inde.

Cependant il existe un autre e-visa avec une validité de 1 an . Il est conseillé de choisir ce visa car vous aurez un an pour entrer sur le territoire Indien. Si par exemple vous décidez de retarder votre séjour en Inde, vous n’aurez pas besoin de refaire votre demande de visa. 

La durée du séjour

La  durée  de votre séjour ne peut excéder 90 jours par entrée , même si votre visa tourisme a une durée de validité d’un an. Si vous choisissez le visa valide 30 jours vous ne pourrez donc pas séjourner plus d’un mois en Inde.

Le nombre d’entrées

Le e-visa conseillé est donc valide 1an avec une durée maximale du séjour qui est 90 jours. Cela ne veut toutefois pas dire que vous ne pouvez effectuer qu’un séjour en Inde durant un an. En effet, ce visa est multiples entrées , vous pouvez entrer en Inde plusieurs fois. L’essentiel est que votre visa soit toujours valide. Vous pouvez par exemple effectuer plusieurs séjours de 4 semaines en Inde. Le visa à validité de 30 jours vous offre également deux entrées . Vous pourrez donc effectuer deux entrées en Inde sur une période de 30 jours.

Ou demander le visa Inde ?

Pour obtenir votre visa, plusieurs choix s’offrent à vous : 

• Effectuer vous même la demande en ligne sur le site officielle du gouvernement indien . Cette procédure est uniquement possible pour une demande de e-visa.
• Vous déplacer en personne au centre de visa VFSGlobal à Paris pour déposer une demande de visa classique dans le passeport.
• Utilisez les services d’une agence de visa qui s’occupera de faire vos démarches à votre place. Cette solution est valable aussi bien pour le e-visa (la demande en ligne) que pour le visa classique (la demande physique au centre agréé par l’ambassade : VFSGlobal).

Les informations utiles pour votre voyage

Une fois que vous aurez obtenu les autorisations nécessaires pour votre voyage en Inde, il serait connaitre quelques informations essentielles pouvant vous permettre de préparer votre départ en Inde .

Il est généralement conseillé de voyager en Inde entre novembre et mars . Cette période correspond à l’hiver et à ce moment, le climat y est très doux. Toutefois, l’Inde est un très grand pays et le climat peut varier d’une région à une autre, et ce, à la même période. De mai à octobre par exemple, il pleut énormément dans de nombreuses villes. Cependant, la région du Rajasthan reste accessible bien qu’il y fasse très chaud. En hiver, les villes favorables sont Calcutta et Delhi. Vous pouvez également vous rendre à l’est, au centre, à l’ouest, au sud, de même qu’au Rajasthan. La monnaie officielle de l’Inde

The India eVisa is an official tourist visa that permits international travelers to enter India for tourism purposes. It is electronically linked to your passport.

There are 3 different types of tourist e Visas available for foreign nationals to enter India, we offer the following:

• 30 day e Visa India

• 5 years e Visa India

Note: All e Visas are non-extendable and non-convertible.

The Government of India does not grant visas on arrival.

When should I apply for my India evisa?

• 1 year and 5 year visas - You can apply for your e Tourist Visa 120 days before your intended date of arrival in India, and a minimum of 4 days in advance of the date of arrival to India.
• 30 day e Visa - You may apply a minimum of 4 days before your departure. For this visa, you can only start the application as early as 30 days before the date you plan to travel.

Important notice

ONLINE VISA APPLICATION SYSTEM

The Embassy of India, Tunis accepts visa applications from nationals and residents of Tunisia and Libya.  Please note that all foreign nationals require visa to travel to India. There is no facility for visa on arrival in India and therefore appropriate visa must be obtained before travelling to India. E-visa facility is not available for the nationals of Tunisia and Libya and they must therefore apply for regular/paper visa with the nearest Embassy / High Commission / Consulate General of India. VISA PROCEDURE GUIDELINES

• Go to the website  https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html  and submit visa application form carefully, not leaving any column blank.
• Choose Indian Mission “Tunisia-Tunis” and note down the temporary Application ID mentioned on the webpage which can be used for accessing the application.
• Upload digital photo online vertically and not horizontally as per the instructions given.
• Save and submit the application. Once submitted, the application cannot be changed. Applicants are therefore required to carefully check all the details before submitting the application.
• On submission, a Web File Number starting with TUNT will be generated, which must be noted carefully and quoted in all references in this regard made to the Embassy.
• Take a print-out of the online visa application form, sign it by the applicant under the photograph and on the second page below the undertaking.
• Book appointment for submission of application form along with all supporting documents through https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html . The appointment for submission of visa application form should be secured immediately at the time of submission of visa application form online.
• On the appointed day, submit the application along with two recent color photographs of size 2 inches X 2 inches, prescribed visa fee, passport in original and the required documents at the Embassy of India, Tunis between 0900 hrs and 1200 hrs . Documents required for different types of visas are given below.
• Visa fee is payable in cash only in Tunisian Dinars. No other currency is accepted.

Note:  Kindly provide your latest and complete contact details on the visa form as per details mentioned in the passport. Suppression of facts and false / incomplete / inaccurate information will not only result in delay / denial of visa but may also debar the applicant from getting visa in future. Application submission timing at the Embassy of India:  Applications will be received on all working days between Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.    Visa delivery timing:  Passports, affixed with visa, can be collected on all allotted days between Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Passports will be delivered strictly on production of original receipt as well as an email received by the applicant to submit passport issued by the Embassy.    Visa fee is non-refundable:  There will be no refund in the event of rejection or withdrawal of visa application. Processing time:  Visa applications from Tunisian and Libyan nationals are normally processed within 15 working days after receipt of all the documentation. However, these timeframes are only indicative and some applications may take longer. Each visa application is considered on its merits and the outcome of visa application is not pre-determined and therefore air-tickets may be purchased only after obtaining the visa. Embassy of India will not be responsible for any loss incurred on this account. Visa may be declined without assigning any reason.      Requirements for Tourist Visa (Kindly note that Tourist Visa is currently NOT available to Libyan passport holders):

• Duly filled in visa application form with photo uploaded vertically. (photograph not uploaded digitally will not be accepted under any circumstances)
• Two recent colour photographs of size 5.08 cm X 5.08 cm.
• Copy of National Identity Card 
• Valid Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity from the date of travel along with a copy of the passport and previous Indian visa, if any.
• Visa fee as per the chart given below.
• Copy of return air-booking. Air tickets should NOT be purchased before obtaining the visa.
• Bank statement of the last three months.
• Copy of valid travel insurance.
• Hotel Accommodation.
• A Mission Order from the employer, if the applicant is working with a company or institution.

Note:  Tourist visa must be applied for only when the sole purpose of visiting India is for sight-seeing, recreation, meeting friends / relatives or attending a short-term yoga programme / traditional Indian treatment like Ayurveda. The maximum permissible stay on tourist visa is up to 90 days per visit. No business or remunerative work is allowed on tourist visa. Requirements for Entry Visa (Persons of Indian origin and their spouses and children must apply for Entry Visa instead of Tourist Visa):

• Duly filled in visa application form with photo uploaded vertically.
• Copy of National Identity Card.
• Valid Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity from the date of travel along with a copy of passport.
• Proof of Indian origin or relation to the person of Indian origin such as Indian passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate and OCI card.
• Copy of air-booking. The applicant should NOT purchase air tickets before obtaining the visa.
• Accommodation confirmation.

Requirements for Business Visa:

• Copy of National Identity Card (Not applicable for Libyan nationals).
• Valid Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity along with a copy of passport.
• Invitation letter from the concerned company / organization in India.
• Letter from applicant’s company (Order de Mission) sponsoring the business visit to India, indicating the nature of business, duration of stay, places and companies to be visited. The order de Mission should be in English.
• Copy of Business Registration Certificate (Company registration) issued by the Tunisian / Libyan authority.
• Copy of Registration / Incorporation of the Indian company.
• Copy of return air-booking. The applicant should NOT purchase air tickets before obtaining the visa.
• Individual or the company Bank statement for the last three months.
• Hotel Accommodation in India.

Requirement of Employment visa:

• Proof of educational qualification and professional experience.
• Copy of air-booking.  The applicant should NOT purchase air tickets before obtaining the visa.
• Copy of Employment Contract with terms and conditions.
• Certificate of non-availability of required skills in India.
• Company Registration Certificate / Annual Turnover Certificate or membership of any Indian Chamber of Commerce (any one of these).
• An undertaking to comply with the income tax rules of India.    

Note:  An employment visa application may be considered only for skilled and qualified professionals, technical experts, senior executives. Professions for which qualified people are available in India will normally not be considered for grant of employment visa. If the remuneration is to be paid in India, employment visa must be applied for. However, if the remuneration is to be paid outside India, Business Visa must be applied for. Medical Visa:

• Referral letter from doctor / hospital of Tunisia / Libya and letter from doctor / hospital in India.
• Copies of all investigation/ongoing treatement should be provided.
• Bank statement, proving availability of sufficient funds for stay and medical treatment in India.

Student visa:

• Proof of educational qualification with English translated copy.
• Proof of admission to an educational institution recognized by the Government of India.
• Proof of finances to meet the cost of education in India.

Requirement of Internship Visa with AIESEC

• Valid Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity with two blank pages along with a copy of passport.
• Bank statement of the last three months with a minimum balance of TND 1500/-. Copy of parents’ bank statement may be provided with a letter.
• Copy of Exchange Participant Acceptance Note from AIESEC India and Organization Acceptance note.
• Copy of Signed Contract with minimum salary of Rs. 65,000 per month (if the internship is with a company).
• License or equivalent license / diploma (gap between completion of such course and starting date of internship should not be more than one year), along with English translation of the License.
• Only 50 internships are available in a calendar year for all kind of internships.  
• Mission order from AIESEC Tunisia.
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation (if the internship is with a company)
• An undertaking from the company, taking responsibility for departure of the participant before expiry of visa. Requirements for Conference Visa:
• Copy of a letter of invitation from the organizer.
• Copy of permission from Government of India for holding the conference.
• In case the delegate is representing a Tunisian / Libyan company / organization, a letter from such company / organization.
• A copy of Hotel Stay confirmation.

Additional documents for minors (Children under 18 years of age) common to all types of visas:

• Copy of birth certificate of the minor applicant.
• First and last pages of both parents’ current passports.
• Signature of both parents on the visa application form or no objection letter signed by the parent not signing on the visa application form.
• In case of single parent / guardian, additional documentary proof such as copy of custody orders from a court / death certificate of the deceased parent / proof of single parent status.

For any other types of Visas such as Film Visa, Journalist Visa, Mountaineering Visa, etc, query may be sent at the email  [email protected] . Note: Use of satellite phones is illegal in India. All foreign nationals visiting India are advised NOT to carry / use any satellite phones in India and any violation in this regard shall have serious consequences and the users will be liable for prosecution under Indian laws. Les e-visas touristiques de 30 jours et 1 an

Vous êtes au courant des informations générales au sujet du e-visa Inde  ? Vous comptez voyager en Inde pour un motif touristique ? Le e-tourist visa est fait pour vous. Ce type de e-visa est disponible pour tout voyageur souhaitant faire du tourisme, rendre visite à des amis ou de la famille, suivre une retraite de yoga ou accompagner un proche voyageant lui-même pour raisons médicales. Il y a trois types de e-tourist visa différents, pour 3 durées de séjour et de validité différents. Parmi eux, 2 types de e-visas sont les plus sollicités : celui de 30 jours (qui s’obtient donc environ 20 jours avant le départ) et celui de 1 an.

Le e-tourist visa de 30 jours

Le e-tourist visa de 1 an, le e-tourist visa de 5 ans.

• Les documents à fournir pour obtenir ce visa

Ce visa a été instauré en 2019 et a la particularité de voir son prix varier selon la période de l’année. Avec celui-ci, vous disposez de 30 jours pour rentrer sur le territoire, et deux entrées dans le pays. À chaque entrée, votre durée de séjour ne peut excéder 30 jours.

Exemple : Visa délivré le 15 juin 2020, valide 30 jours. Vous pouvez entrer en Inde jusqu’au 15 juillet 2020, PUIS le séjour autorisé est de 30 jours maximum à compter de la 1ère entrée.

Ce e-visa a une validité d’une année, pendant laquelle vous avez le droit à de multiples entrées. Chaque séjour, cependant, doit être de 90 jours maximum.

Exemple : Visa délivré le 15 juin 2020, valide 12 mois. Vous pouvez entrer en Inde jusqu’au 15 juin 2021, en respectant des séjours de 3 mois consécutifs maximum.

Ce e-visa n’est pas systématiquement délivré, il n’est donc pas garanti. D’une validité de 5 ans, ce e-visa vous donne droit à de multiples entrées. La durée de chaque séjour ne doit pas dépasser 90 jours.

Exemple : Visa délivré le 15 juin 2020, valide 5 ans. Vous pouvez entrer en Inde jusqu’au 15 juin 2025, en respectant des séjours de 3 mois consécutifs maximum.

Cependant, certaines nationalités ont droit à des séjours de 180 jours : États-Unis, Royaume-Uni, Canada et Japon.

Les documents à fournir pour obtenir ce visa officiel

Quel que soit le type de e-visa touristique demandé, il faut préparer et transmettre les éléments suivants : > 1 scan-couleur de bonne qualité de la page d'identité du passeport.

Le passeport doit être valide au moins 6 mois à compter de la date d'entrée en Inde. Cela ne peut pas être un passeport d'urgence vert. Il est conseillé d'avoir un passeport de bonne qualité ainsi que 3 pages vierges dont 2 face à face dans son passeport lors de l'embarquement pour l'Inde.  > 1 scan-couleur de bonne qualité d'une photo d'identité (au format normes françaises) > Informations concernant votre voyage, votre famille, votre situation professionnelle. > Supplément éventuel pour les voyageurs se rendant en Inde pour y faire du volontariat, il faut fournir la lettre d’invitation de l’organisation concernée, rédigée sur papier officiel à en-tête.

Visa on Appointment Basis From 01 August 2016

Consulate General of India, Saint Denis, Reunion Island has implemented online visa application system 26 June, 2016 -->.

When filling in the application form online, applicants should select “Reunion Island” in the field “Indian Mission”. This applies to Reunion Island and Mayotte Island as also the nationals of other countries who are residing in Reunion Island and Mayotte Island.

After filling-in and submitting the application form online, applicants are requested to take a printout of the application form and sign it. The applicant will have to come personally for enrolment of biometric data.

The applicants would be required to bring along with them the signed printout of the application form submitted online, two photographs, the relevant documents required for each type of visa and the requisite fee in cash.

1. For minor children (i.e. below 18 years of age) who will be traveling alone : 'No Objection Certificate' from both the parents attested by Municipality is mandatory for processing of visa applications. 2. For minor children (i.e. below 18 years of age) who will be traveling with one parent : 'No Objection letter' from the other parent is mandatory for processing of visa applications.

Visa application forms are to submit to the Consulate from Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 12:30. (See section Consulate holidays on our website).

Documents required for Tourist Visa:

• visa application form (completed and signed)
• Passport (valid for more than 6 months) and 1 photocopy page of A4 paper (do not cut)
• photocopy of the air ticket.
• 2 passport photos on clear and plain background (size 5 X 5 cm)
• The cost of tourist visa is 98 Euros (cash)

The visa applicant must appear in person at the consulate where the biometric data are collected for the establishment of the visa (photo, fingerprints).

Preliminary Important Information:

• Choose your visa category in accordance with your purpose of travel or in certain cases, your profession.
• The validity of a visa begins on the day it is issued by the Consulate General of India and not on the date of departure.
• The application must be personally submitted by the applicant.
• The Consulate General of India will accept fees only in cash..
• The Visa Fee is non-refundable.

Employment Visa

This visa allows you to travel to India to work for an Indian company, to become an expatriate in an international company or organisation… Please note: that immediate family members of a person travelling to India with an Employment visa should apply for an Entry visa.

Student Visa

This visa allows you to travel to India to study at a university or technological institute, take part in an academic exchange programme, do an internship in a company, follow a course in a language school, dance school or music school. Please note that to enrol in yoga, meditation or vedic culture courses, an Entry visa would be required.

This visa allows you to travel to India for a longer period. Due to this fact, Entry visas are restricted to applicants with the following cases: a person of Indian origin; spouse and children of a person of Indian nationality or origin; dependents of a person holding an Employment visa; applicants wishing to settle down in Auroville; applicants wishing to join an ashram or follow a course in yoga, meditation or Vedic culture; applicants travelling to India for acclaimed mountaineering expeditions.

Conference Visa

This visa allows you to travel to India to attend a conference (mathematics conference, medical conference…) Please note that to attend a business conference in your field of activity or a conference arranged by a company or to attend a business fair, you must apply for a Business visa.

Journalist Visa

This visa allows people working in specific fields of activity to travel to India on a professional basis or to travel to India for personal or tourist purposes.

Transit Visa

This visa allows you to travel to India for a very short period in which you can change flights at an airport. You are also able to leave the transit zone of the airport.

Research Visa

This visa allows research professors or scholars to conduct research work in India.

Visa Fee for French Passport Holders Consulate General of India, Saint Denis

• The applicant must bring a passport (with validity of more than 6 months) and photocopy of the page with its data on an A4 sheet (do not cut) and a photocopy of the ticket or reservation.
• 2 passport size photos in clear and plain background (size 5X5 cm)

The Consulate opens for the public at 09.30 hrs and closes at 12.30 hrs (Monday to Friday). Completed applications for various services are accepted during the forenoon session only.

The Consulate reopens for the public between 16.00 hrs and 16.30 hrs. During this period, applicants can receive back their processed Passports, OCI cards, Visas and other documents for which they had made an application.
