Dining Times: Set Dining & Anytime Dining

Guests may choose from three different dinner seating options. By popular request, all dining rooms are smoke-free. Assigned Seating - Early Dining and Late Dining This dining option offers guests a pre-set dining time for the duration of the cruise as well as the same table assignment each evening in the Main Dining Room. Guests who choose this option will not be able to reserve 'Your Time' open seating once on board.

'Your Time' Open Seating Dining 'Your Time' open seating is offered fleet wide.  Guests are seated on a first come, first served basis depending on party size and are able to request a specific waiter. Pagers are provided if there is a modest wait time so guests may relax elsewhere on the ship until their table is ready; in most cases, guests are accommodated within 20 minutes. Advance table reservations are not accepted, and all guests must be present before the party is seated.

Guests may choose:

Splendor:  Early dining at 5:15pm, Late dining at 7:45pm or 'Your Time' open seating, between 5:00pm and 8:30pm. 

Luminosa:  Early dining at 5:15pm, Late dining at 7:30pm or 'Your Time' open seating, between 5:00pm and 8:30pm.

Dining Room Seating Time Options - Dinner

Guests may choose from three different dinner seating options. In addition to Early and Late assigned seating, 'Your Time Dining' open seating is available to accommodate individual guest preferences. By popular request, all dining rooms are smoke-free. Please note that dining times may be subject to change. 

Assigned Seating - Early Dining and Late Dining This dining option offers guests a pre-set dining time for the duration of the cruise as well as the same table assignment each evening in the Main Dining Room. Guests who choose this option will not be able to reserve 'Your Time' open seating once on board.  Early dining may be scheduled between 5:30pm and 6:00pm and late dining, between 7:45pm and 8:15pm.* 'Your Time Dining' Open Seating 'Your Time Dining' is offered fleet wide. Guests are seated on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on party size, and in most cases, are accommodated within 20 minutes. Guests may request any table size or wait staff. Advance table reservations are not accepted. Your Time Dining is generally offered between 5:00pm and 9:00pm.* 

At time of booking, guests will be able to confirm their preferred dining choice. If their preference is not available, they may confirm an alternate time and be waitlisted for their preferred choice - there is no guarantee a waitlist will clear. When possible, waitlists will be cleared prior to the sailing and guests will be notified by email. Parties traveling together who are waitlisted together will be cleared on the same dining time.

Cross-referencing bookings does not guarantee parties will be seated together. They must be confirmed on the same dining time to ensure they will be able to dine together.

For those guests who choose Early or Late dining, the assigned dining room, time and table number will be printed on the Guest's Sail & Sign card which they will receive on embarkation day.

*Actual times will vary based on ship and itinerary, and will be listed in the daily ‘Fun Times’ and Carnival HUB App.

In addition, guests may opt for casual bistro dining in the Lido Deck Restaurant, a slice of pizza from our Pizzeria or a sandwich at the Carnival Deli. Other dining options include the elegant Steakhouse Restaurants  serving fine quality prime steaks and other dishes in an intimate, upscale atmosphere as well as The Chef's Table , Cucina del Capitano , Ji Ji Asian Kitchen , Bonsai Sushi , Bonsai Teppanyaki , Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse , Emeril’s Bistro at Sea , Rudi’s Seagrill ,  Chibang and Il Viaggio . Please note, most of these additional dining options do have a nominal fee. Carnival Dining Information

Carnival Cruise Lines has always been a leader at making their guests' dining experience something special. Carnival offers early, late and open dining times to fit your schedule perfectly on your cruise. They also offer a convenient flat daily rate program for beverages, called Cheers! (for unlimited alcoholic drinks) and Bottomless Bubbles (for unlimited soda.) Although you'll always have a reservation at the main dining hall, Carnival also offers a wide variety of alternative restaurants, from informal 24-hour pizzerias, to elegant reservations-only late night supper clubs. Main Dining Room Policies: Carnival guests are assigned to one of two seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal, early or late. The early and late seating times can vary by ship or itinerary, but are usually at 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., respectively. Guests will be confirmed or wait-listed for dining time at time of booking. Carnival also has Your Time Dining, which allows for open seating at dinner in the main dining room any time between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Your Time Dining is available on every Carnival ship. Dress Code: With the exception of one formal night for 2 to 5 day cruises and two formal nights for cruises 6 days or longer, the dress code is casual. Appropriate casual attire for men is sport slacks, khakis, jeans, dress shorts (long) and collared sport shirts, while women are advised to wear casual dresses, casual skirts or pants and blouses, summer dresses, capri pants, dress shorts, or jeans. Gym shorts, basketball shorts, beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, cut-off jeans, sleeveless shirts for men and baseball hats are not permitted on casual nights. On formal evenings, men should wear dress slacks and a dress shirt. A sport coat is suggested. Suits, ties and tuxedos are optional. Ladies should wear a cocktail dress, pantsuit or an elegant skirt and blouse. Evening gowns are optional. Shorts, t-shirts, beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, jeans, sleeveless shirts for men, sportswear and baseball hats not permitted on formal nights.  Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea, coffee and water are at an additional cost. Juice is included with breakfast. Soft drink cards, good for unlimited soft drinks, are available for purchase onboard. Special Requests: Special meals including low-calorie, low-fat, low-carbohydrate, low-sugar, vegetarian, low sodium, low/no cholesterol, gluten free and Indian vegetarian can be requested. Kosher meals are available on all ships and itineraries for lunch and dinner only. Kosher meals are available in limited quantities, so it's recommended to request these as soon as possible, and no later than 2 weeks prior to sailing. All dining rooms onboard Carnival ships are smoke-free.

What are the differences between traditional and open seating dining?

On most ships today, you will have many dining choices including the main dining room, specialty restaurants, a buffet restaurant and others. When it comes to the main dining room for dinners, you can typically choose between the traditional seating and an open seating option. Traditional seating offers guests a pre-set dining time and a specific table every evening of their cruise. There are usually at least two times to choose from. One will be an early seating and the other a late seating. Traditional dining will appeal to those that like to eat dinner at the same time every evening, while also guaranteeing the same table and wait staff. You may be assigned a table seated with other guests, but a request can be made onboard if you prefer your own table. With open seating, you will be able to dine within certain hours, which on most ships this is 5:30pm to 9:30pm. This offers more flexibility with your time to participate in activities both onboard and ashore without needing to worry about being late for dinner. Depending on the cruise line, you may also be able to make a reservation for a preferred dining time every evening. Unlike traditional dining, with open seating, you are not guaranteed to have the same table and wait staff, but the dining room will do their best to accommodate your requests.

:):)Spoke to Carnival rep a few minutes ago and was told some of the ships are going to open seating on March 31st. great news as we loved this on Princess. We like to eat when we want. Hope it works out as well as on Princess.:)

Carnival already has it on 3 ships. We had it last month on the Liberty. We really liked it. Service was not as good as in the MDR but well worth the flexibility.

And for those against this, let me point out that this does not stop you from eating in the main dining room. It is just another option.

And actually unless you decide to eat at the buffet or supper club, you're still eating in the dining room, there is just a portion of the dining room set aside for the open seating people. You get get to pick what time you want to eat while the dining room is open instead of having to go to at the same time everyday.

The Liberty and the Legend. Can't remember the other one. But read it on a post on here.

We just signed up for a cruise 2/24/10 on Miracle and they asked us if we would like Open Seating. I was very happy to hear they had the option.

Thanks for the info. I know the Legend has it in place and that's what we've opted for. I like the idea of going to the main dining room when I want.

We actually liked out dining companions. We had a lot in common and saw them on the ship sometimes; even hung out at the karaoke bar one night. However, we met others that we also got along with and could have seen us choosing to meet up and dine together. Also, sometimes we wanted to eat earlier (we were assigned late seating); and could see that others might choose a later dining time. We ate in the dining room one morning and enjoyed sitting with whomever we walked in with. Like an earlier poster said it's just a choice.

On another post, someone said Valor has the open seating option, but I have never seen that listed anywhere. Can anyone confirm if Valor has it or will soon have it?

I like this idea but can you be sure to be seated when you choose? What if everyone wanted to come at the same time? Wouldn't this be limited? I'm not sure I fully understand how this works.

I would like to know this as well. I booked my Valor cruise last week and my PVP asked if I wanted open seating. I said yes, but after reading the boards this week, I've read nothing indicating that the Valor has open seating.

My seating assignment is currently list as "unassigned", so I'm a little skeptical of the info provided by my PVP. Can anybody please clarify if the Valor does in fact have open seating? Thanks.

Can't help w/ the Valor and when but I can explain maybe to Tina.

If you want to eat dinner @ 6:30 you can go down @ that time and ask to be seated, if there is a crowd @ open seating, they should give you a beeper and then when your table is ready they will seat you. Crowded usually between 6:30-7:30. On Princess you could also call in during the day and make a reservation, not sure if this will be true on Carnival. We found it easy to use and never waited too long. Can't wait to try it on the Miracle.

It has all of carnivals ships listed with "starting" dates. Fortunately/unfortunately the valor is in the same classification as the triumph "TBA". I doubt that'll change or be in force before june as the latest date is the dream in sept.

Actually, you can now request open seating through online booking on the Pride. I saw it yesterday when I was checking prices for our July 24 cruise and when I got to the part where it asked for seating preference "open" was a choice along with 8:15 and 6p. I called our PVP and she switched us from 8:15 to open. She explained that there could be a slight wait time in getting a table since we are a group of six but did not anticipate it would be any longer than going to a resturant (15 - 20mins) and that there is a nice lounge outside of the dining room that one could wait in for their seating. Since we are going to be on vacation I though who cares if we wait even up to 30 mins? Where are we going in a hurry? And we can always snack before dinner somewhere.

We've gone to lots of all inclusive resorts who don't take reservations and when we'd show up at the resturant we'd have a bit of a wait at times. We never minded. Just time to unwind before dinner and have conversation.

What I like about it is that you are not pressed into a schedule.

We had open dining last month on the Legend and are scheduled for open dining next month on the Liberty. It was the most relaxing dining experience we have ever had on our many cruises. Elegant nights were the same for open dining as with assigned dining. The difference is only that you show up at your convenience, between 5:45 and 9:45. It is great and hope it soon will be an option on every ship.:cool:

Hi Everyone...just a quick question about open seating and hoping that someone can help out. If you choose this option, do you automatically get seated with others? Or can you request a table size?

You can request your table size..table for 2 or 4 or whatever. If you find a waiter you really like, you can also ask to be seated in his/her section so you can have the same waiter each night. Might take a little longer to get seated that way, though.

Beginner's guide to dining on a cruise

Anytime dining is on the upswing as diners look for casual experiences.

In the old days, cruise ship dining was an elegant affair taking place three meals a day plus an option for an afternoon snack served during tea time. No more.

Today, modern ships offer a wide array of dining options, from basic meal service all the way up to luxury specialty dining experiences. And, unlike land vacations, your meals are included in your fare. 

If you're new to cruising, here's a Beginner's   guide to dining options on a cruise , with eight key takeaways.

Where you will eat

Main restaurant:  Nearly all cruise lines have a main dining room available for sit-down service during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Typically, you'll find that the venue offers a range of traditional American and Continental dishes served in a large, banquet-style room where you may have to share a table with other passengers.

Satellite restaurants: Many ships offer less formal dining venues that serve casual fare. On board you might find a self-service buffet, pizzeria, poolside grill or even a New York style hot dog cart.

In your room: Most cruise lines offer complimentary room service (although this is not an option on some river cruise ships), though Norwegian and Royal Caribbean charge a small service fee for orders delivered between midnight and 5 am. In our experience, the menu is often limited and the food often so-so. 

Specialty restaurants: A new trend in the cruise industry is the addition of specialty restaurants , also known as alternative restaurants. Specialty restaurants generally provide superior service, better food and sometimes dazzling decor. Examples include Carnival's steakhouses, Holland America's Pinnacle Grill, Princess's Crown Grill and Sabatini's, and Disney's Remy and Palo. Tip : Dine at a specialty restaurant on the first night, when it tends to be less crowded. 

$$$: How much it costs to dine

For the vast majority of luxury and premium cruise lines — Crystal Cruises, Oceania , Seabourn , Regent Seven Seas , Windstar — the cost of the main restaurant and s pecialty restaurants is included in your fare. For mainstream (mass market) cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Holland America, dining in the main restaurants on board is included in your fare, while it costs extra to dine in a specialty restaurant (although Royal in particular sometimes adds surcharges to certain items on the menu in the main dining room). 

Also, remember that the mainstream cruise lines charge for bottles of water, soda and specialty coffee drinks that you order outside of the main dining room. 

Assigned seating vs. open seating

A lot of first-time cruisers wonder, Will I be forced to eat with a lot of strangers? In general, no. Here's how it works: 

Traditional assigned seating

Many larger cruise lines maintain the tradition of two dinner seatings each evening: at 6 pm and 8 or 8:30 pm. When booking, you'll be asked which you prefer. You may want to choose the earlier seating if you plan to go to a lot of shows, and you can request a small or large table or a seat near a window, but there's no guarantee it will be honored. Early seating is often fa­vored by those cruising with kids and some se­niors.

You generally don't get to choose your table mates with assigned seating. Upon embarkation , the first thing many veteran cruisers do is to check out their table assignment; sometimes you can make changes once on board. One upside of assigned seating is that your server gets to know your tastes and preferences when you return on subsequent nights. Cruise lines offering assigned seating in the main dining room for dinner include Carnival, Celebrity, Costa, Crystal, Disney, Holland America, MSC Cruises, Princess and Royal Caribbean.

Open seating

A big trend on cruise ships is the prevalence of Anytime dining or what Norwegian calls Freestyle Cruising . This is the rule, rather than the exception, on nearly all luxury cruise lines and it's becoming the norm on some mainstream cruise lines.

Open seating — an option that lets you eat when you want and with whom you want — has been around for a long time on luxury and smaller ships (including Star Clippers ). Several years ago Norwegian Cruise Line introduced Freestyle Dining to its ships, to positive results. More recently, Royal Caribbean introduced the concept of dynamic dining — no set dining times, no assigned seats, no required formal nights — to mixed results on its Quantum class of ships. Note that with open seating, you sometimes have to wait for a ta­ble or make a reser­va­tion each night. 

Our advice: Go ahead and socialize, at least on some nights! Part of the excitement of cruising is the potential to meet interesting new people — perhaps even people with diverse backgrounds, cultural identities or political beliefs. You can scurry off with your companion to a specialty restaurant or a casual satellite dining spot on one or two nights while mingling with strangers at a table for 6, 8, or 10 people on other nights. 

Cruise lines that offer open seating in the main dining room include Azamara, Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, Hurtigruten, Norwegian, Oceania, Paul Gauguin, Princess, Regent, Royal Caribbean, SeaDream, Star Clippers, Uniworld, Viking, Windstar and the luxury lines. Note that some cruise lines offer both assigned seating and open seating.

Breakfast and lunch are usually open seating. Note that several of the cruise lines listed above — Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, Princess and Royal Caribbean — offer both assigned seating and open seating. 

Making reservations

If you opt for open seating, in some cases you'll need to make a reservation to reserve your spot. Check with your travel agent or the cruise line. 

There's a certain amount of decorum expected on cruise ships during dinner. That means, no swimsuits, tank tops, flip-flops, casual shorts and sleeveless tops. If you're in the mood for casual, head to the smaller informal restaurant near the pool. 

Dress codes on cruise ships vary by cruise line and by evening – many cruises feature one or more formal nights. Some cruise lines enforce the dress code and may offer to bring out a suit jacket for the gentleman. Others apply the dress code only sporadically, though some upscale cruise lines will turn you away from dinner if your attire is not up to snuff .  On most nights, "resort casual" is the rule. Formal dining 

Formal dining has given way to casual dining on most cruise lines in recent years. Traditionally, cruise lines set aside one evening on a 7-night cruise for a formal night, when people dress in evening wear. On lines such as Princess, Cunard, Crystal, Seabourn and Silversea, you'll see quite a few men don tuxedoes on formal night, while most wear dress slacks and a sport coat. If you wear slacks and a dress shirt you'll be OK. 

Al fresco dining  

If you've ever enjoyed al fresco dining on a cruise ship — having breakfast, lunch or dinner on deck on a sunny day — you know what a glorious treat it is. On cruise lines such as SeaDream , Silversea ,  Viking , Ponant , Seabourn , Azamara and Windstar , you'll likely have a chance to indulge. 

Dining options you'll find on board

The dining options below are available on most of the mainstream cruise lines. So check to see which of these are included on the cruise you're considering: 

• Sit-down meals served by wait staff in the main dining room
• Formal dining, often on one night of the cruise on many ships (but you have the option to skip it)
• 24-hour dining venue (available on some ships)
• Room service (note that some ships charge a fee for delivery after midnight)
• Outdoor dining at night around the pool deck during poolside parties (Azamara and Holland America Line, for example)
• Dining under the stars (Silversea's Hot Rocks or Tastes on Crystal Cruises, for example)
• Balcony dining (a hallmark on Princess Cruises especially)
• Special dining with the chef events (Princess, Seabourn, etc.)
• Special wine-pairing dinners in "vintage rooms" (Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, MSC Cruises)
• Rotational dining, where the room literally moves, as on Disney Cruise Line
• Alternative dining venues (Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, et al.)
• Coffee bar (regular coffee and pastries included, specialty coffees at nominal extra charge) 

What's not included 

Here are some items that are typically not included with the cruise fare: alcoholic drinks, soft drinks (on some cruise lines — soda is included in the price on Disney sailings) and dining at specialty restaurants. Special packages are often available for guests to purchase that include alcoholic drinks, soft drinks or specialty restaurants. This will vary by cruise line, so check for your cruise line’s policy or ask your travel agent.

For Bahamian and Caribbean cruises that stop at the cruise line’s private island, such as Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay, dining on the island is also included in the cruise fare.

Do everything in moderation

Don't forget: Even though you can order two entrees and three desserts or help yourself to a midnight buffet or wolf down double cheese bacon burgers, resist the temptation (but go ahead and order a couple of decadent desserts). We know friends who put on 5 pounds during a weeklong cruise — because they don't pace themselves and they don't exercise. Stay active on your cruise: Go on long walks on shore. Hit the gym or spa. And show some restraint.

Haven't been on carnival for a while how does the open seating work and would you suggest it?

We will find out Feb 22 on Carnival Destiny and I will post when we get back. We had issues on a recent RCCL Explorer cruise. We had to call to make reservations if we wanted a table for 2. Every night had a different problem. Ended up ordering room service most nights. Never had any problems on NCL or Princess or the RCCL Jewel of the Seas. I am guessing the problem we had on Explorer was because it is a larger ship with more passengers.

We enjoy sailing different cruiselines each year--just like trying different restaurants. There are things we like on every ship and favorite ships on each cruiseline.

I am so happy to see cruiselines offering open seating dining because we often get back to the ship at different times on port days. Sometimes we just want to relax and eat late and on sea days we want to eat early.

The open seating works like a land-based restaurant: you show up when the dining room is open, request a table for however many are eating with you (you and your travelling companion; you and your family; or...)...and you are seated, handed a menu, and dinner begins.

Or you can ask to be seated at a table with others, to share a table, and you'll be either seated at a table with more place settings and wait for others to join you, or you'll join a table where others are waiting for those to "share".

Sometimes, like at a land-based restaurant, there might be a wait. You can either choose to wait, or go to another venue on the ship for dinner.

Or you can make reservations in advance, and when you arrive at your "reserved" time, you'll be seated.

Easy. I won't ever go back to traditional dining ("early" or "late") again.

We just returned from the Carnival Dream and Sensation. We had Anytime dining on both ships. We enjoyed it. We got a table for 2 each night, with no waiting. The tables for 2 are close together, barely enough room to go between, so we called it a table for 4. There might be some more private. If you have a large group, there is a possibilty of a wait.

On on upcoming cruises we have anytime dining requested.

We recently did Anytime Dining on the Dream. We had a group of 9 and had to wait 30 minutes 1 night. They give you a pager while you wait. We were able to get the waiter we wanted almost every night and never had to wait again.

They do not allow you to make a reservation. You have to show up with your whole party when you want to eat. This worked perfect for us and I would not go back to assigned dining.

Same with us.

Do the same rules apply on the Formal nights?

We just got off the Carnival Dream and had anytime dining. We requested a table for for 4 and had to wait everynight. Twice it was only 15 minutes, but it was usually 1/2 to an hour wait. Even though we went for supper around 7:00, we ended up eating around 8:00. I think we will choose the late seating next timel.

We are going with a lot of people and we've all been scheduled at different times to eat but we want to stay together if possible.

On most my cruises, I'm solo. Therefore, I enjoy having the same table and tablemates for the cruise. I also like having the same waitstaff. They remember each night what I like...double espresso w/dessert, without my having to ask.

I will continue w/early dining. I like having dinner early, so I can enjoy the chevre pizza later in the evening.:D

We had anytime dining on the Fantasy 1/25/10 sailing and LOVED it! 3 couples, only had one 15 minute wait. We wouldn't ever go back to assigned dining times. It was great to have the freedom to choose what time to go to dinner.

I WANT 2 CRUISE

If we are scheduled for the late dining time and want to do the 'anytime seating' do we need to call Carnival and change it? Or do we just show up when we want to eat? We are going with a lot of people and we've all been scheduled at different times to eat but we want to stay together if possible.

Good question! I would like to know this also.

You have to do one or the other -- you can't just decide to show up. Either call ahead and change so that you're all together with either traditional or anytime, or take a chance that they can make the switch when you get on board...but that's risky, as there are usually waiting lists.

It is the wave of the future. Works just like any restaurant that you are used to visiting. You go to eat when you want and with who you want. Other than that it is like "traditional dining".

I just booked for Liberty in a few weeks and was told that I am waitlisted for "Your Time" dining (5:45-9:30) and confirmed for Late Seating (after 8:15).

I don't understand how Your Time can ever be full since it means you will be coming anytime and waiting for availability. Late Seating really won't work for us at all. Is our only other option to hit the buffet every night?

We had open seating on Carnival Inspiration on 1/11. We had a party of 6 so we usually had to wait about 15 minutes except formal night we waited about 50 minutes for a table. We did not ask for the same waiter every night. When we came back after the shows on formal night we did have a tray of strawberries and other things apologizing for the long wait for dinner.

Anytime dining worked for us since we did not want to go to dinner every night in the dining room. We thought we would just use it as we want. Normally if I am going every night I will use the traditional dining in the future.

The fore-located Navigation Bridge (Wheelhouse) and the adjacent Captain’s Suite and officers' quarters are inaccessible to passengers.

Lido (aft on Decks 16-17) houses Carnival's complimentary Pool Deck eateries Seafood Shack, BlueIguana Cantina, and Guy's Burger Joint, plus new venues.

BlueIguana Cantina ( menu ) is a complimentary poolside (self-serve) fast-food bar with Mexican cuisine serving the Beach Pool area. The Cantina is open for Breakfast (7:30-10:30 am) and lunch (12 noon - 2:30 pm) and offers fresh-made tacos, burritos (wrapped/topped-to-order), tortillas (wheat, jalapeno), chips, salsas, toppings. Breakfast burritos are with scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, ham, hash browns, tomato, cheese, iceberg lettuce, topping (pico de gallo, crema fresca, salsa /tomatillo, roasted tomato). Lunch tacos include pork, chicken, fish. Bluelguana Cantina has a separate condiments bar with salsas, hot sauces, lettuce, onion, cheese, lime, watermelon, jicama, black beans, corn, coriander, tomatillos, tomatoes.

Lido Marketplace ( menu ) is the ship's complimentary self-service buffet restaurant for open-seating Breakfast (7:30 am - 12-noon /made-to-order omelet station), Lunch (12-noon - 2:30 pm), Dinner (6-9:30 pm /Good Eats buffet) and for Late Night Snacks (11 pm - 1 am). Good Eats buffet menu is a Main Dining Room dinner alternative offering steaks, prime rib, grilled chicken, pasta, salads, desserts, daily Chef's Special. Lido Marketplace consists of various take-away food stations and themed food bars. Among those are Carnival Deli (sandwiches, draught beer dispenser), Mongolian Wok (stir-fry, made-to-order Asian food /you choose the ingredients), The Captain's Pasta Bar (choice of 3 pastas, 4 sauces, 12 toppings), Salad Bar (35 items), Pizza Pirate (24-hour Pizzeria), Chef's Choice Bar (international cuisine /different menu each day), Hot and Cold Buffet (stir-fry, pastas, carving station), Grille (ham-cheese-veggie burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken fritters/sandwiches, sauteed mushrooms/onions, sauerkraut, Chili con Carne, homemade tortillas-chips-salsa), Dessert Bar (incl sugar-free items). There are also (self-serve, complimentary, 24-hour) tea/coffee station and machines for soft ice cream and yogurt. Chocolate Extravaganza Buffet (complimentary) is on the last sea day (7-day and longer cruise itineraries) and offers chocolate smorgasbord, chocolate fountain, cakes (incl pear, orange, cheesecake, dry fruit, diet).

Street Eats is an open-air complimentary eatery located next to Seafood Shack. It offers ready-to-eat street food via 3 themed kiosks (steamed, fried, and plancha food). The new grab-and-go dining venue has a daily rotating menu. Small plates (including falafel or empanadas) are available at the fried food station, siu mai or bao buns - at the steamed food outlet, and satay and kebabs at the plancha food kiosk.

Seafood Shack (open for lunch and dinner /both with waiter service) is a casual restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating located near the Lido buffet (poolside). Seafood Shack's menu is a la carte priced (between $4-16 per item) and offers lobster (BLTs, rolls, steamed, fried), shrimp (salad, rolls, fried), crab cakes, clams, oysters. The menu also has buckets (fried clams, fried buffalo shrimps, and combos), platters (lobster/snow crab by the pound, crab cake - served with corn on the cob, garlic bread, hush puppies or fries), Fish & Chips, Soup of the Day (Lobster Bisque, Oyster Stew, Seafood Gumbo, New England Clam Chowder). The Seafood Shack restaurant is unique for offering fresh fish purchased from local markets along the cruise itineraries. Two-three times per sailing, one of the ship's chefs goes to the port's local fish market and purchases fresh fish and seafood. At Seafood Shack you can check out the cruise itinerary's current selection.

Tides Pool (aft) has 1 swimming pool flanked by 2 Whirlpools and a large sunbathing area served with drinks by the Tides Bar.

(aft-midship) "Chibang!" is a new (introduced on the ship Mardi Gras) restaurant for signature Chinese and Mexican dishes (a la carte-priced), with two separate food menus plus a beverage menu (including specialty cocktails, like Chibang! Margarit, Smokey Mezcal Negroni, Green Tea Martini). The decor is marked by floor-ceiling windows (wall-to-wall), heavy red and green, with gold accents, a colorful dragon (at the entrance). Dishes include favorites like Kung Pao Chicken, Singapore Chili Shrimp/Prawn, Slow-Braised Pork Belly, Egg Drop Soup, Crispy Pork Carnitas Tacos, Steak Ranchero, Mole de Pollo Mexicano, Pork Lomito, Pescado Frito Crujiente, Camarones a la Diabla (shrimp).

The Carnival ship Celebration has the fleet's (and the world's) third "Big Chicken" restaurant at sea (by Shaquille O'Neal). The venue is located aft and is complimentary. Many menu items are developed by the basketball player himself, while the rest are based on Shaq's favorite food recipes.

Forward on Lido Deck are located passenger cabins from 16201 to 16297, of which Interior (category 4I), Junior Balcony (category 7Y), Balcony (category 8G) and Ocean Suites (category OT).
