• Select the number of passengers and a date.
• Please fill out all the necessary fields in our booking form as they are needed by our insurance company and the Thai government.
• Credit cards are accepted payment methods.  Balance of payment can be paid in cash.
• In case of a private charter booking, please note your booking is not guaranteed until payment of the deposit has been received.
• We will contact you by email the afternoon before your tour to confirm room details and pick-up time.

Cancellations are a difficult affair for both us and prospective customers. We therefore try to approach it with a ‘common sense’ attitude.

You must be aware that there is a significant financial impact on Simba when a customer cancels a tour at late notice we have a high level of fixed costs and we only take a maximum of 12-18 adult customers. We also pre-book many of the activities undertaken on the day of your trip, all of which are non-refundable to Simba.

If you cancel due to sickness and we are unable to place you on another trip, you can go to the doctors and obtain a medical certificate. We can then issue you with a receipt for the money paid to Simba, all of which can be claimed back from the majority of holiday insurance providers.

If we decide to cancel due to bad weather, we will have done so taking into consideration customer safety and that of the vessel as well as predicted weather forecasts and satellite images. In this instance your deposit will be refunded in full if an alternative date cannot be found.

*In the event that you are a ‘no-show’ on the morning of your trip,  for whatever reason , the full balance of your trip is due.

*If you have booked a group of guests and one or more does not show on the morning of the trip,  the person who booked the trip will be required to pay the full balance.

Cancellation Policy: Please read.

By advancing your deposit to Simba Sea trips, you therefore agree to be bound by the below terms and conditions.

Cancellations for reasons other than testing positive for COVID19 within 24 hours of the trip, or a no show (inc missed departure when using own transport) will result in 100% of the total cost being charged. This means you would not only lose the deposit you would be required to pay the balance stated on the confirmation email.

Note – if Simba is able to re-book your seats to other customers you of course will be provided a full refund ASAP.

In the case of sickness we will make every effort to move you to an alternative date however the cancellation policy still stands. As we limit the number of guests on each trip we do get fully booked and a reschedule may not be possible. A refund will be applicable should we be able to re-book your seats to other customers.

If Simba cancel a trip and cannot reschedule during your time in Phuket we will refund 100% of all deposits immediately.

As a general rule, most people do not get seasick on our boats. However if you suffer badly from motion sickness, we do offer you seasickness tablets in the morning. It is advisable to take these at least 30 minutes before the trip. If you suffer from severe seasickness, then perhaps reconsider booking a boat tour.

Simba has long prided itself on  committing to the lowest passenger numbers per boat  of any speedboat operator, not only in Phuket, but across Thailand.

We believe that low passenger numbers are an important factor in making the Simba tour experience superior to any other speedboat tour in Phuket.

Over the course of a typical 12-month season  we average just under 14 people per boat tour . This includes adults and children and we are very confident no other operator in Phuket will ever match such low numbers. Indeed, it is unlikely they could even determine what their average load is! Incidentally we average 1 child per tour.

Please be aware that tour operators are increasingly using the ‘small group’ descriptor for tours that take 25 – 30 passengers, nearly a 100% increase on Simba’s policy!

The monsoon season in Phuket does bring about stronger winds, bigger swells and a higher chance of rain, but it also means less tourists! Before we undertake any of our trips, whether in the dry or monsoon season, we check the tides, swell chart, satellite images, local weather radar and weather reports. If we feel there is any danger to you, our boat or us we will cancel the trip as early as possible. Simba will cancel a trip if we feel anyone’s safety is compromised.

Because of the exposure to the Indian Ocean sea swells, we assess our Phi Phi tours on a daily basis, and these can be subject to cancellation between May and November.  If this is the case, you have the choice of a full refund, or a switch to a Phang Nga bay tour where the water conditions are generally better.

During May to October our Phang Nga Bay tours are more protected from the elements and generally has smaller waves and wind effect.

  “The time I spent on Hakuna Matata and subsequently Rafiki was one of the best times I’ve had in Thailand. Both boats, as always, were pristinely clean and the amenities on board were top notch. The staff were super friendly and professional every time myself and my family used the charter. The only “negative” comment I have is that the food was so exceptionally fresh and tasty that I came home with extra kilos on my body and not in my luggage. My wife and I spent a week in Phuket and we ended up doing two Simba Tours, after being thoroughly impressed by our first tour.

We did the Phi Phi island tour, and the James Bond island tour. Both were amazing and I would recommend doing them both because they were very different from each other. The Phi Phi islands tour had snorkeling and a lot of pristine beach and lagoon locations, while the Jamea Bond island tour had no snorkeling but sea kayaking instead, as well as cave exploration.

Both times the driver showed up at our hotel in Karon beach early, and was very pleasant to deal with. He takes you directly to their office in the Royal Phuket Marina, where a light morning snack is waiting for you (boiled eggs, coffee, crackers, fruit, etc.). There's then a briefing of the tour on a large map that is very comprehensive so that everyone understands the days schedule and can ask questions. Both times the briefing was done by one of the tour guides named Harry who speaks perfect English. The tour guides themselves were amazing, we had Woody on our first tour and Harry on our second tour and I can guarantee that these guys are top notch. They really do avoid all of the masses, for example we were the first ones on the James Bond island, which apparently is very very busy normally. The tour guides know when the popular spots get busy and using the smaller boat (we had approximately 16 people on our first tour and 15 on the second), they are able to get in and out before the masses. The crew on the boat such as the captain and boat boy were always very friendly, often taking candid pictures of us, which they offer to email to you afterwards at no cost. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Highly recommend.

Phuket weather is tropical and we have a lot of sunshine. You won’t need to bring a lot of clothes if you come to surf, as most of your time will be spent on the beach. It’s very laid-back and casual here and people are friendly. There’s no time to be bored – there’s just too much to see and do, or you can do absolutely nothing at all.

If we’re not out on our Phi Phi tour on Sundays,then generally we are out and about doing odd jobs and trying to fit in some relaxation time. Typically, we get up late and go out for roti, this is a Thai style pancake that can be eaten with curry or sweet milk depending on which you prefer. Most Thai people like everything super-sweet so we only eat one, otherwise we overdose on the sugar!

You'd be remiss if you didn't spend some time sailing the waters around Phuket, stopping for a snorkel break along the way. Whether you want to stay dry and view all the beauty of the sea and surrounding islands from the boat deck or you want to swim, stand-up paddleboard, canoe, or even scuba dive, there is a boat trip for you. 

Travelers gush about their experiences on the various boat tours, calling them "a dream come true," wonderful, peaceful, entertaining and fun, among other descriptors. Where Nai Harn Beach is Phuket's southernmost beach, Promthep Cape (or Laem Promthep) is the island's southernmost point, and likewise, it offers an amazing view of the Andaman Sea. Visitors can also take a short hike from the cape (less than a mile) to a scenic lighthouse.

Sunset is the best time to view the beauty of Promthep Cape, according to recent visitors, but they also say that this is no longer a secret spot: Travelers will usually have to share their vantage point with a host of others, but even so, a trip to Promthep Cape comes highly recommended.

Phuket Boat Tours

Kwahm wung (“hope”).

MAX PEOPLE: 10 People

A beautiful 42-foot-long teak wood 1930s-style real sailboat, Kwahm Wung (Hope) is the pride of Phuket Sail Tours. We use Kwahm Wung for our Koh Phanak Sail Caves and Hongs Tour and our Sunset Sailing Dinner Cruise. Licensed for 16 passengers, we never take more than 10 guests on a join-in tour. There are cushions on the deck for our guests to sit on, a toilet below, and our cook prepares much of the food aboard. Often we motor to where we have to go, but whenever we have favourable winds, the sail goes up and we enjoy the relaxing ride that only sailing can give.

To get off and on the sailboat it is necessary to go up and down a short ladder from the dinghy. With a bit of help for those that need it, most of our guests have no trouble at all. The dinghy takes our guests between boat and shore.

NGAMKOM (“BEAUTIFUL”)

MAX PEOPLE: 20 People

This is our lovely big boat we use for the Secrets of Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Golden Sunset and Discover Krabi Islands big boat tours. Licensed for over 40 guests, we take a maximum of 20 adult guests on our join-in tours. We can take more than 20 guests for a private charter, and for groups bigger still we can provide a similar boat, but much bigger. There are two nice toilets aboard, a kitchen below, and plenty of room for our canoes and crew. It is necessary to climb a short ladder/stair to get to the top deck, but we have plenty of helpers for those guests who are a bit stiff in the knees.

The big boat is ideal for all ages. There is room for children to move around, you can bring a stroller aboard for little ones to have a sleep in. On most tours there is room for small children to lay down on the benches for a snooze if they want. Guests who want to take it easy can sit back and enjoy the view if they want, while other guests go exploring. The canoes are safe and very stable, with a paddle man for each canoe to do the work.

There is good protection from the weather on the big boat.

MAXIMUM PEOPLE: 20 People

Our island tour uses a mix of speedboats. Typically, we use a 3-engine speedboat licensed for 45 passengers for our trips to Phi Phi , and a slightly smaller 2-engine speedboat for our trips to Phang Nga Bay . We prefer the larger 3-engine boat for the trips to Phi Phi as it handles the conditions better for a larger group, but with a low number of guests we sometimes use the smaller 2-engine speedboat for our Phi Phi trips.

The boats have small toilets aboard, which are useful if one of our guests is caught short. We also have bathrooms at the restaurants when we go ashore for lunch.

We do not own our own speedboats, as we prefer to work with two local boat owners who have been our friends for many years. We know the boats well and we have the backup of the bigger companies to attend to mechanical and maintenance issues. The boats are ideal for our purposes, in good condition and well maintained. Leaving the rest of us at Phuket Sail Tours the time to concentrate on running really great tours, rather than worrying about boat maintenance. 

It works great for all of us, and it enables some of our Thai friends to be part of the Phuket Sail Tours family.

Excellent charter boat trip – very professional company

We had a group of 50+ people from the USA, and we needed to charter 2 boats to Phi Phi Islands. With such a large group — we wanted to make sure to book our trip in advance, It was hard finding information of a lot of the boat companies — but we were fortunate to come across Coral Seekers. Tim and his team are very professional and handled everything perfectly. We communicated regularly through email and the payment process was seamless. The trip was excellent and very well managed by Coral Seekers. We got to see multiple attractions at Phi Phi Island, and had a wonderful lunch as well. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to book charter boats in Phuket!

There are a variety of day trips from Phuket to Krabi that can be found, taking in the beautiful islands in and around the area and travelling either in a group or by private speedboat. One day Thale Waek Poda Island Chicken Island From Phuket

The day starts with a pick-up service from Phuket City, Patong, Kata or Karon, before grabbing the ferry at Rassada Phuket Pier. Then it’s on to Thale Waek, a natural phenomenon in Krabi, where a sandbar emerges during low tide, connecting a series of islands – it’s like walking in the middle of the sea. The the group visits Koh Poda for lunch before taking a boat trip to Chicken Island. There is a chance for snorkelling  with all the equipment needed provided as part of the price. At the end you will take a boat back to Phuket from Nopparat Thara Pier where a car is waiting to take you back to your hotel. From €67.32.

Day Tour from Phuket to 4 Islands in Krabi by Ferry & Speedboat

There is a lot packed into this nine-hour excursion. You’ll be cruising past the iconic limestone karsts of the Andaman Sea as you island-hop around Krabi. Ao Nang, the resort town in southern Thailand’s Krabi Province, is the springboard for the day trip, taking a speedboat to Koh Poda and Chicken Island. The latter, Chicken Island, doesn’t get its name from poultry running around, rather it has a limestone rock formation that just out into the sea like a chicken’s head. After lunch (included), wade to the Tup Islets at low tide and explore Phra Nang Cave, situated on the Railay peninsula just off the coast. Hype Yacht : VIP tour Krabi Islands & Phang Nga Bay from Phuket

If you prefer to see Krabi and the surrounding area with a bit more bling, the Hype Yacht certainly adds a bit of sparkle. This glamorous boat wouldn’t look out of place in a Bond movie (or a music video) and comes with all the trimmings. You start with sparkling wine, then carry on to a gourmet lunch in some of Thailand’s most picturesque spots. En route are Phang Nga Bay’s Hong Islands, lagoon, and more, with plenty of opportunities for snorkelling, swimming, and sunbathing. You also get round-trip transfers to your Phuket hotel.
