Pete McCauley and Tim Cheesebrow are an acoustic duo of accomplished musicians, featuring contemporary takes on Celtic, bluegrass, folk, & classic rock as well as original material.

Meet Mac (Pete McCauley)

In 1996, he co-founded the original rock trio Eddie Mac, with whom he spent a few years traveling the country, earning a record contract with SPV Records in Germany, and releasing two critically acclaimed albums – “DAMN!” (1999) and “Space Factory” (2000). Pete created a band called Stand at the Door in 2002 and produced two albums of original material – “Stand at the Door” (2004) and “Snackbox” (2006). He co-founded the Celtic folk rock band Hounds of Finn in 2007, which has put out two albums – “Songs of Men in Boats” (2010) and “Gravity Pulls” (2013), the latter of which contained several tracks that placed on the national folk radio charts. In 2019, Pete joined forces with singer-songwriter Tim Cheesebrow to create the Mac & Cheese duo, which performs at many local and regional venues (and recorded an album called “Big Fun” (2019). In addition to performing, Pete is a full time Media Producer / Director / Digital Storyteller at the University of Minnesota. Primarily a guitar player and singer, Pete discovered a passion for playing the mandolin when he joined with Leslie Rich in 2007 to form the Hounds of Finn. Since then, he’s been on a mission to gain a bit of mastery over any fretted instrument he can get his hands on. Pete has studied and performed many styles of music, with a focus on Celtic roots music over the last decade or so. His original material would be best described as contemporary folk rock, taking influences from across the spectrum. Additionally, Pete has written and recorded a few jingles for local organizations. Meet Cheese (Tim Cheesebrow)

Tim Cheesebrow (guitar, vocals, occasional mandolin and pennywhistle): Tim is primarily a singer/songwriter. He' s got 6 or so albums under his belt, several tours and an extensive solo performance career. He's always had a spot in his heart for traditional Irish and American folk songs, and jumped at a chance to play this music with Pete. He's the founder of Discover Music, a non-profit that teaches kids to write songs as a healthy mode of self discovery and expression, and is the author of "Songwriting for Wellness: Using Music to Heal the Mind." Your Musical Journeys believes music is for all ages and stages of life. Music classes starting from newborns through the golden years. Classes offered include KiddyKeys, Musikgarten, Suzuki Trumpet, individual and group piano lessons.

About Janice Smith:

I believe music is part of our lives from newborn through all adult ages. A person is never too young or too old to participate in music learning and the enjoyment of making music. My studio offers private and group lessons. I have fifteen years experience teaching private lessons and have a California teaching credential in music. Bachelors degree in Music from the University of Michigan; Masters Degree in Music Education from Boston University. Certified to teach Suzuki trumpet.

I enjoy working with students of all ages sharing the joy of learning and making music.
