By CREATIVE INC’s digital marketing team
The second wave of COVID 19 has affected the tourism industry immensely. But despite all the restrictions, Rajasthan Tourism has successfully built the connection between the destination and its ardent fans. Through its innovative social media marketing campaigns and digital marketing nuances and knowledge, CREATIVE INC managed to gather audience engagement around its cuisines, places to see and unmatched art & craft. The agency has launched ‘experience Rajasthan from Home’ in full swing and vying to create nostalgia and a deeper connect with the destination.
Here are the features that made this possible:
One Year One Lakh Challenge
When we connected with Rajasthan Tourism as their creative agency partners we took a one year challenge. As we say results speak more than the promises we make, we successfully increased the organic Instagram following by one lakh.
Our Copies Create Dialogue
We don't just look at what others are doing and create similar content, we brainstorm, curate and then create campaigns for different platforms. As we don't believe in just grabbing the numbers, we believe in starting a dialogue.
We don't have Designers in Our Office, We have Artists in Our Studio
Our in house graphics team plays with imagery & graphics to create masterpieces.
The Perfect Timing
Timing is the last but most important ingredient for a successful social media marketing campaign. If the posting time is not perfect then even the most creative posts can go unnoticed. Our digital marketing team is perfectly aware of when to talk and how to talk.
Vide Marketing & How
We create videos that engage, that excite and that leave our audiences salivating for more. How? Well an on ground team roams around with a DSLR and shoots various aspects of the dream destination and our video editing & special effects teams create motion pictures that create magic.

Rajasthan Tourism’s ‘Jaane Kya Dikh Jaaye’ Ad Campaign compels you to backpack right now to see the lesser known sides of this massive state.
If India is a traveller’s dream, then its 29 states are a country within themselves. After the colourful tales of Madhya Pradesh; exotic scenes of Kerala; vast landscapes of Gujarat; breathtaking beauty of North Eastern States, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to witness the inviting landscape of Rajasthan.
The multi-crore rupees media campaign aims to double the footfalls in the state from the existing 1.5 million to 3 million by 2020. This mega advertising campaign kick-starts the ambitious plans of the Rajasthan government to herald Rajasthan 3.0, which is not only about landscape, harsh terrains, heritage forts but an integrated approach focussed around experience, infrastructure, cleanliness, security and marketing.
This creative campaign showcases Rajasthan through the eyes of different travellers and aims to highlight some of the lesser known facets of this historic state. Given the vastness of this state and its diversity, every traveller is sure to find and spot his own mini version of Rajasthan. From Meerasthan (a small girl transports into her own world of awe and wonder as she goes for a hot air balloon ride with her father), Aryasthan (Rajasthan as seen through the eyes of a Arya and his friends marooned in the centre of a desert) to Huansthan (a Chinese traveller stands bewitched by the epic scale and never ending walls of Kumbalgarh Fort, her Great Wall, but away from China), these series of videos capture everything Rajasthan has to offer you- warm people, amazing sunsets, stunning landscape and the diversity at every step.

While the campaign is quite fresh in appeal, the problem of falling tourists is caused by other factors. overlooking problems faced by tourists, lack of infrastructure expansion, attitude of officials, inability to look beyond the existing sites are few reasons. How can you provide good experience when you have just one ticket window on a day amer Palace witnesses 15-20,000 tourists? Traffic jams to roads leading to sites in tourist season? Inability to tackle guides and touts for pressuring tourists to emporium? Inviting is one things, ensuring great experience is another. Government need to ensure their vision translates well down. It might be out of place here but these were my thoughts which points to inconsistencies!
Good points. Thanks will pass this along to relevant person.

Raj govt starts special marketing, branding campaign to boost tourism
- Wed, Jul 20 2022 04:15:37 PM
Jaipur, Jul 20 (IANS): In a series of initiatives to boost tourism in the desert state, Rajasthan Tourism has announced the launch of the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2022.
The much-awaited film tourism policy will be launched at the inaugural session of Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2022 to be organised on July 22. Also 'Rajasthan Calling' roadshows will also be organised in many cities across the country, including Bengaluru, Lucknow, Gurugram, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, among others to lure tourists from across the nation.
Rathore said that the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2022 will provide an enabling environment with subsidies and incentives up to Rs 2 crore for all kinds of films -- be it regional, Bollywood, Hollywood or OTT.
She was speaking at a press conference organised for the forthcoming RDTM scheduled to be held from July 22 to 24. RDTM is being jointly organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR).
Throwing light on the marketing initiatives of the department, Rathore further said that a 360 degree marketing and branding campaign has been started by the government. As a part of this plan, hoardings at prominent airports and railways, in-flight advertising, bloggers and influencers in rural areas of Rajasthan, among other initiatives are being organised.
President, FHTR, Apurv Kumar said that the revival of the tourism and hospitality sector, which was the worst hit during the pandemic will get a boost because of RDTM which is happening once again. The Mart will be inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot on July 22 at Hotel Clarks Amer. Also, state Minister of Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan, Dr B.D. Kalla; Minister of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Vishvendra Singh; Chief Secretary, Usha Sharma; Principal Secretary of Tourism, Ms Gayatri Rathore; President Emeritus, Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), Gaj Singh and President Honour, FHTR, Bhim Singh will be present at the inaugural session.
Kumar further said that on July 23 and 24, around 9,000 structured B2B meetings will be held between buyers (pan-India) and sellers at the Birla Auditorium. Around 400 domestic tour operators from across the country will network with 200 exhibitors from Rajasthan who will showcase the prowess and potential of their tourism products like hotels, resorts, amusement parks, etc.
