For some, forking over four digits for a concert is just too much, but for others, the experience is worth the money.

Gabrielle Lask isn’t normally a big spender, but when she had an opportunity to purchase two tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour for $4,000, the Swiftie just couldn’t “shake off” the chance to see the singer with her mom.

“It’s so much money,” Lask says. “I honestly don’t think I’ve ever spent that much money on anything in my life, but I was dying to go to that show. My mom surprised me with tickets for my 11th birthday for the Fearless tour, and this would be a full-circle moment for us to go back together.”

How Lask Covered the Cost

Lask, 24, and her mother first tried purchasing tickets through the presale program for Capital One cardholders , which reportedly offered ticket prices as low as $49.

When that didn’t work out, Lask says they tried several avenues to get tickets before connecting with a ticket broker who could get them the unobstructed, 300-level tickets for $2,000 each.

To cover the cost, Lask says she took $3,000 out of her savings account to pay for the tickets. Her mom paid the other $1,000 and paid for Lask’s flight from Florida to St. Louis, where they met and drove to Chicago together for the concert. Her mother also paid for the hotel room after the concert.

Resale Ticket Prices Have Gone Through the Ceiling

Lask wasn’t the only fan spending thousands on tickets to The Eras Tour – resale ticket prices have skyrocketed, even as the singer has continued to add more tour dates. Earlier this month, Swift unveiled a schedule for previously unannounced North American shows running through November in Miami, New Orleans, Indiana and Canada. After that, she'll take the show abroad.

The average resale ticket sold for the concert at the time of publications is $1,619, according to SeatGeek. By comparison, the average resale concert ticket this year is about $245.

“What makes (Swift’s ticket sales) even more impressive is that she is drawing this level of demand while playing at the largest venues in the country,” says Chris Leyden, director of growth marketing at SeatGeek. “Taylor nearly broke the internet during her Eras Tour tickets sales, and the demand has not subsided.”

Fans Went Way Over Budget

Even fans who managed to get their tickets during the presale at lower prices often spent more than they expected.

Swift may have competition when it comes to fans spending on concert tickets, however. A recent InvestorsObserver survey found that fans of Beyonce were laying out an average of $1,800 each to see Queen Bey perform, about $300 more than the average spend by Swifties.

For some, however, forking over four digits for a concert is just too much. More than 70% of consumers recently told LendingTree that they've opted out of seeing their favorite performers because prices were too high.

But for Lask, who has seen Swift in concert four times, the experience was worth the money.

“She is my favorite artist, and she has released so much new music since her last tour, I couldn’t miss it,” Lask says. “It was so amazing, I cried multiple times. It was surreal being there after the battle and uncertainty of getting tickets. I just couldn’t believe I was there.”

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour poster

Start planning your ticket strategy now, because Taylor Swift is officially going on tour in 2023.

As many fans suspected, Taylor is embarking on tour in support of the many albums she's released since 2017's Reputation and its tour in 2018, including Lover , evermore , folklore , Midnights and all the Taylor's Version re-records . (And if you're overseas, don't worry — she'll be heading your way too!)

Taylor shared the big news on Instagram with a pic of the tour poster, which features images from Fearless, Lover , and Red, among several others. "I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)" she wrote. "The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!" Taylor Swift ‘s The Eras Tour is taking over Europe ! After breaking records with The Tortured Poets Department , dropping the Eras Tour movie on Disney+ earlier this year and taking her heavily anticipated tour to Australia and Asia , the singer is continuing on the European leg of the tour.

Trending on Billboard

Swift returns to Wimbledon after kicking off a mini-residency in June. The Grammy winner will perform at Wembley on Aug. 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20. Raye, Paramore and Suki Waterhouse signed on as openers for the tour.

Swift kicked off at the European leg at Paris La Defense Arena in Nanterre, France, on May 9.

The “Anti-Hero” singer will return to North America to perform in the U.S. and Canada — including New Orleans, Toronto and Miami — beginning this fall . Swifties got a chance to score presale tickets through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program last summer .

The Eras Tour , Swift’s first tour in five years, was announced in November 2022. Presale tickets for the tour went on sale via Ticketmaster that month. Another batch of presale tickets for her 2024 tour stops in Vancouver and new tickets for Australia and Sweden went on sale late last year.

Swift partnered with Capital One on exclusive tickets available for Capital One cardholders. As can be expected, passes to see Swift live remain one of the hottest concert tickets on the market, so we’re breaking down what you need to know so you can secure a seat.

See below for information on how to get last-minute tickets to international stops on Swift’s Eras Tour. Check out the new list of tour dates here .

How Much Do Last-Minute Eras Tour Tickets Cost?

Resale tickets for The Eras Tour are currently available online for concerts in the U.K. and other locations.

How much are last-minute tickets? There’s more than one way to score Eras Tour tickets, but expect to spend at least a few hundred bucks on a ticket, depending on the seats and date of the show.

Swift is slated to perform at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 15 though Saturday, Aug. 20 . Tickets are scarce and selling fast — especially in the last hour (more than 72,000 people were looking at tickets when we last checked). The Eras Tour has stopped in Spain, Sweden, Portugal and Japan and will circling back to the U.S. this fall.

Tickets for the North American leg are currently available at StubHub , Vivid Seats and Seat Geek , although pricing usually range from around $600 and up, demand is high, so most of the tickets are currently priced over $1,000 at StubHub and other ticket sites. For fans who want to catch Swift’s opening night in Miami on October 18 , tickets prices are currently spiking to more than $2,000 .

Looking for the cheapest tickets ? Searching different sites will give you a better chance of landing tickets at a lower price point, but we did some of the digging for you.

At press time, tickets to Wembley start at around $500-$600 , although some of the in-demand tickets are priced well above $2,000 at StubHub , which is around the same prices that you might find on sites such as Ticketsmarter while TicketNetwork only has tickets for her shows in the U.S. To score a discount, use code BB2024 and save $20 off purchases of $200 or more at Vivid Seats . Used code BILLBOARD150 to save $150 off $300 or more and code BILLBOARD300 to save $300 off $1,000 or more at TicketNetwork .

The Eras Tour is a celebration of all 10 of the studio albums Swift has released since 2006. The massively successful tour has raked in over $1 billion . But with the launch of a new album era, Swift has been incorporating Tortured Poets into the tour for a section dubbed, “Female Rage: The Musical.”

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on  GMA , announcing the news. “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Who is the opening act for Taylor Swift’s Miami shows?

Gracie Abrams is set to open for Taylor Swift’s Miami shows, and if you haven’t heard of her yet, you’re in for a treat. This 23-year-old singer-songwriter has been making waves in the indie pop scene with her raw lyrics and haunting melodies for a few years now. Abrams released her debut album, Good Riddance , in 2023. The record was produced by none other than Aaron Dessner—one of Taylor’s very own frequent collaborators. Swift herself has been a longtime fan and mentor to Abrams, even naming her as one of her favorite new artists back in 2020.

Where is Taylor Swift’s Miami concert taking place?

Taylor Swift is set to light up Hard Rock Stadium for three nights from Friday, October 18 through Saturday, October 20. The venue is located at 347 Don Shula Drive Suite 102 in Miami Gardens, and is the same venue where she rocked the Reputation Tour back in 2018.

For those driving to the concert, the stadium has over 26,500 parking spots—which you can even book in advance if you want to save yourself some stress. If you’re feeling adventurous (and thrifty), you can wait to find some local parking in the neighborhoods or businesses nearby.

What to wear to Taylor Swift’s Miami concert

We have a whole list of ideas for what to wear to Taylor Swift’s concerts on the Eras Tour, but when it comes to this Miami show, let’s address the biggest factor: the weather. According to the Palm Beach Post , Miami in October is still pretty warm—we’re talking mid-80s during the day, cooling down to the upper 70s in the evening. Perfect for rocking that Taylor Swift merch without freezing or melting! However, October can be a bit of a wild card with rain. There’s always a chance of tropical systems, and the area typically sees about 7 to 7½ inches of rainfall. While Hard Rock Stadium is partially covered to protect from the elements, it might be a good idea to pack a cute raincoat just to be safe.

What is Taylor Swift’s Miami concert setlist?

Each night, Taylor also performs two surprise songs. These acoustic renditions could be from any of her past albums, so you never know what you might hear. So, while the core setlist stays pretty consistent, don’t be shocked if songs get swapped or if a special guest pops up. Artists like Aaron Dessner and Phoebe Bridgers have been known to make appearances in the past. Read on ahead for the full sample setlist.

Here’s How to Get Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets (Even if They’ve Sold Out)

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.

Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour might be ending later this year, but it’s already become the most successful tour in history, grossing over $1 billion in ticket sales — and, of course, selling out immediately.

“A lot of you are like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?’” Swift recently said at her Liverpool show, later referencing the official end of the Eras Tour later this year. “And for me, the celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December, like that’s it. And that feels like so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour, because you have made this so much fun for us.”

So far in 2024, the Eras Tour has seen appearances from everyone from Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce during The Tortured Poets Department section of show, to the debut of Swift’s duet with Gracie Abrams of “Us,” from the singer-songwriter’s new album.

Swift previously delighted fans when she released her Grammy-winning album Midnights and announced a new tour in 2022. But Swifties weren’t feeling happy right after tickets initially went on sale, as overwhelming demand for Swift tickets caused Ticketmaster to cancel its public on-sale and prices to soar.

While Ticketmaster was initially the official selling partner for Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets , thousands of fans were previously left out of luck before the verified presale by Ticketmaster even ended. Fans had to sign up for the presale and be “invited” for a chance to buy tickets. And while the intention was good — no competing with bots for the best seats — few people actually got the chance to place an order.

And while Swift’s run of U.S. dates initially were scheduled to wrap up in Los Angeles — just as August 2023 started to already slip away — the star announced that the Eras Tour would make a comeback in 2024, with a slew of North American dates scheduled in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis, before heading to Toronto for six dates at the Rogers Centre with Gracie Abrams.

“Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era 😝 Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams!” Swift shared in a post on social media August 3, 2023.

If you didn’t get lucky enough to buy Taylor Swift tickets the first time around, here’s where else you might find sold-out Eras Tour stubs online.

Where to Buy Taylor Swift Tickets Online

Your best bet to find Swift tickets online now is likely to go through a reseller if you don’t get them through Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan registration and Verified Fan Onsale, with many of them offering discounts or promo codes that you can use for Taylor tickets.

Our suggestion: Do a little price comparison between the sites to find the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets online, and check back closer to the concert date in case ticket holders are trying to unload their seats — that’s when you’ll likely get the cheapest tickets online.

1. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on StubHub

Taylor Swift tickets on StubHub currently are on sale for as low as $311 for her Fourth of July show in Amsterdam, and as much as $2,440 for the Miami show on October 18. While there isn’t an active StubHub promo online right now, the site does have one of the best policies in case Swift has to cancel one of her shows. If an event is canceled, the site will give you a StubHub credit for 120% of the amount you paid.

2. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Vivid Seats

Tickets on Vivid Seats currently start around the $2,100 mark for 300-level seats for Swift’s Miami dates, with cheaper tickets available for dates outside of the U.S. (like, $275 USD for Amsterdam dates). Use our exclusive  Rolling Stone  promo code  RS2024  at checkout to save $20 off your $200+ order through the mobile app. Vivid Seats also has a rewards program that lets you buy 10 tickets and get the 11th ticket free.

3. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on TicketNetwork

You might not be able to find Taylor Swift tickets on Ticketmaster, but we spotted great seats available on TicketNetwork.com . The resale site has seats from $1,129 online for her upcoming Dublin show, which is not cheap but still one of the lowest prices we’re seeing for the Ireland dates. TicketNetwork also works with Affirm, so you can buy your tickets now and pay over time. Want a Taylor Swift discount code? You can use TicketNetwork ‘s promo code RS150 saves you $150 off your order of $500, or RS300 for a $300 discount on a $1,000 order.

4. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on SeatGeek

We spotted many Taylor Swift tickets on SeatGeek as of this writing, and the site is usually a solid bet for resale tickets to popular concerts and events. Use the SeatGeek promo code ROLLINGSTONE10 to get $10 off your $250+ ticket purchase. It’s not a huge discount but still a chance to get save on Taylor tix. SeatGeek will also often offer other promo codes, if you’re looking for discounted Taylor Swift tickets, so we recommend keeping an eye out on their site.

5. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Gametime

Another trustworthy resale site you can look for Eras Tour tickets is Gametime . Of course, Taylor Swift ticket prices can change at any time, but right now, the cheapest tickets for the Miami opener this October Swifties will find on the site start around $2,153 per ticket. Sometimes Gametime will offer a deal or promotion on tickets, so keep an eye out for discounted tickets on the site’s sidebar for flash deals.

6. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Viagogo

The most affordable tickets we spotted for Swift’s Miami dates on resale site Viagogo start around $2,267 per ticket, which gets you a seat in the 300-level area of the Hard Rock Stadium. We like shopping for tickets on Viagogo because you can see what your view will be before buying the tickets on its site. But as most Swifties have discovered, there’s really no bad seat for the Eras Tour.

7. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on TicketLiquidator

Resale site TicketLiquidator has several available tickets to the upcoming Eras Tour dates. We spotted tickets for the opening night in Miami this October starting at $3,500+ for the 300-level section, and going up to as much as $7,500 for floor seats.

(Note: All of these promo codes were live and verified at time of this article’s publishing.)

What Stage Setup Can You Expect at the Eras Tour?

If you’re stumped on which tickets to get, checking out the stage layout is pretty helpful, and super easy to find while you’re purchasing tickets. While each stage layout may differ slightly depending on the stadium, it looks like all will have a main stage, a walkway leading to a diamond-shaped smaller stage, and finally, a ramp leading to a rectangular mini-stage (see below for an example). Obviously, Eras Tour tickets surrounding the main stage will be the priciest but you might find some decent prices next to the secondary stages.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Verified Fan Onsale is using registration to ensure more tickets get into the hands of fans who want to go to the shows, not buyers looking to resell them.

Only fans that receive an email confirming their access will be able to join the queue for this Verified Fan Onsale. Fans who are selected will receive additional instructions on Wednesday, November 8. All others will be put on a waitlist.

Tickets for these shows will be in high demand, therefore, a limited number of fans will get access to the Verified Fan Onsale while others will be placed on the waitlist as described below. Access to the Verified Fan Onsale does not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while currently-available inventory lasts.

Registration is open from Thursday, November 2 at 8:00 a.m. PT through Saturday, November 4 at 5:00 p.m. PT .

Key Dates to Know

Thursday, November 2 – Registration opens Saturday, November 4 @ 5:00 p.m. PT – Registration closes Wednesday, November 8 – Fans will receive confirmation if they will have access to the Verified Fan Onsale or if they have been placed on the waitlist.

Thursday, November 9 – Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Verified Fan Onsale (only fans that received an email confirming their access will be able to join the queue for this sale). All shows will be assigned specific on-sale windows, which will be communicated prior to the start of the sale.

How Will This Sale Work?

Ticketmaster is helping artists give their fans a better opportunity to purchase tickets by creating an extra line of defense against bots and professional resellers who are looking to sell tickets for profit. The process includes three steps:

Step 1: Registration

By registering for the Verified Fan Onsale, you are letting us know that you’re interested in purchasing tickets. From the registration page, you sign into or create your account, select your preferred show(s) and register your email and phone number. Once completed, you’ll automatically receive a confirmation email letting you know that we got your request. It’s quick, easy and free to sign up.

Step 2: Verification

Next, Ticketmaster vets each request by confirming it belongs to an individual — not a bot — and that it hasn’t been tied to irregular behaviors that could be a sign of a professional seller attempting to access the sale.

Step 3: Access Code or Waitlist

When demand exceeds availability, a limited number of registered Verified Fans will get access to the sale and others will be placed on a waitlist. You’ll receive an email on Wednesday, November 8 letting you know which group you’re in. If selected to get access to the sale, you’ll receive a unique access code and purchase link via text message the day prior to your Verified Fan Onsale.

While no system can guarantee that all fans will get tickets to the show(s) they’re interested in, the Verified Fan program works to significantly block bots and professional resellers from competing against fans for tickets during the sale.

Common Questions

How do i register.

  • To register, please visit: HERE
  • Sign in using your My Account or create an account if you don’t have one.
  • Tell us what show you’re interested in and submit your registration; we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest information.

We’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know your registration was successful and what you can expect next.

If I receive access to the Verified Fan sale, am I guaranteed tickets?

No. Access means you have an opportunity to join the Verified Fan sale but it is not a guarantee you’ll be able to purchase tickets. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis while currently-available inventory lasts.

If I received access to the Verified Fan sale, how do I purchase tickets?

  • At the specified time, click the link you were sent.
  • You’ll enter the Smart Queue. To keep your place in line, stay on the page and don’t refresh. Do not open more than one browser window.
  • Once it’s your turn, shop for tickets by using your unique access code. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis while currently-available inventory lasts and aren’t guaranteed. Each event has a strict four (4) ticket limit per customer.
  • Then checkout!

How many tickets can I buy with my code?

You can purchase up to 4 tickets for the one show indicated in the text you received.

When will the Waiting Room open?

The Waiting Room will open 30 minutes before the designated Verified Fan sale window begins. When the Verified Fan sale begins, fans in the Waiting Room are assigned a spot in line. Once you reach the end of the queue, you’ll have an opportunity to shop for tickets. Stay on the page and don’t refresh or you may lose your spot in line.

You must use the same Ticketmaster account that you registered with to join the Waiting Room.

How do I join the queue?

Sign in through the link that we texted to the phone number you provided during registration to access the queue.

What can I do to prepare?

If you’ve been selected to participate in the Verified Fan sale, we recommend that you prepare by signing into your Ticketmaster account before the Verified Fan sale to make sure your billing information is up to date. This will help speed up the checkout process after you’ve selected the tickets you want to buy.

My link isn’t working. What should I do?

If you registered and received access to shop for tickets through text or email from Ticketmaster, but the link’s not working, try checking these things first:

  • Make sure the event is on sale. Links are sent out before the event goes on sale but won’t work until the event is actually on sale.
  • You must be signed in with the same email address you used to register for the Verified Fan sale.

Will there be other ways to buy Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets?

The only official way to get Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets is through the Ticketmaster Verified Fan Onsale or through certain other limited tour-sponsored onsale opportunities for specific shows. Be on the lookout for information on these other opportunities where available.

I got an email saying I’m on the waitlist. What does that mean?

If you’re currently on the waitlist, stay tuned — you may still have an opportunity to shop for tickets.

When there are more fans than there are tickets, a limited number of fans will get access to join at the start of the Verified Fan sale and others will be placed on the waitlist.

More fans may get access to join the Verified Fan sale based on ticket availability. If you’re selected, you will receive a text with a link to join the Verified Fan sale. Please note, moving off the waitlist does not guarantee access to tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently-available inventory lasts.

Can I register more than once to increase the likelihood that I am able to purchase tickets ?

Registering more than once for a specific event does not increase the likelihood that you are able to purchase tickets . If you want to change the event date you selected after you’ve registered, you can make those edits while the registration window is still open. We only keep the last registration you submitted.

I received a confirmation email after I registered, what does that mean?

The email is simply to inform you that we have received your registration and will be working to verify your account. It doesn’t guarantee that you will be selected for the Verified Fan sale access. A second email will be sent on Wednesday, November 8 letting you know if you will get access to the sale or if you’ve been placed on the waitlist. If selected, the day prior to your Verified Fan sale you’ll receive a text message with a unique access code and link to use.

I’m a real fan of this artist, and not a bot or reseller. Why didn’t I get access?

Selection is not a measure of how big a fan anybody is. Sometimes there simply aren’t enough tickets for everyone. When demand exceeds availability, a limited number of fans get access to the Verified Fan sale, and others must be placed on the waitlist. The number of fans who receive access depends on the number of tickets currently available — this is done to help create a less crowded ticket shopping experience for fans.

How will I know if I’ve been granted access to the Verified Fan sale after I’ve been placed on the waitlist?

If selected, you will receive a text with a unique access code and link to the ticket sale. In the event of any SMS/texting delivery issues, we’ll email your unique access code and link to the email address associated with your Ticketmaster account that you used to register. Access to the Verified Fan Onsale does not guarantee tickets. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis while currently-available inventory lasts. If you’re sent a unique access code and link you should join the Verified Fan sale as soon as possible for your opportunity to purchase tickets.

How to buy Taylor Swift tickets: Eras Tour dates and prices compared

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

Taylor Swift's European tour dates have come to an end, but she'll start back up on the final leg of The Eras Tour in October. She finished her final London shows in August and will return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift released her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, and the Swiftie hype has continued throughout the summer.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. So far, Swift's tour has passed through various cities in the US, Europe, Australia, Latin America, and Asia, among other regions. As Swift approaches her last tour dates, which will see her take her final bow in Canada, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options. You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. European resale tickets tended to be a bit cheaper than North American resale tickets. Some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,661 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 6) to $2,322 (Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 2). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,600 and $2,300. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,899 and $2,625, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore opened for Swift. Earlier in the tour, Swift had Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, HAIM, and more open for her.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations.

During her 100th show, a mid-June performance in Liverpool, Swift acknowledged that the tour would conclude in December. "The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I've ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December," Swift told the crowd in a moment that was widely captured and posted across social media. This statement means that the Eras Tour is unlikely to extend past 2024, but we'll keep this guide updated if Swift announces any changes (or additions) to her tour lineup.

Were any tour dates canceled?

Taylor Swift was originally scheduled to play three Eras Tour shows from August 9 to 11, 2024, in Vienna, Austria. However, the shows were canceled after Austrian officials confirmed that multiple individuals were  arrested on suspicion of planning an attack  at one of the shows. As of August 12, no other Eras Tours performances have been canceled.

Is The Tortured Poets Department a part of the Eras Tour?

It's good news for fans of "The Tortured Poets Department," Swift's most recent album that dropped on April 19, 2024. Swift is incorporating several of the new tracks into the Eras Tour, as evidenced by the first shows of her European leg. "The Tortured Poets Department" songs currently featured on tour include "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Since the Eras Tour is already pretty long, this means that Swift is also cutting down a few songs from past Eras that previously made the tour setlist. The songs that were removed from the setlist include "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season," and "Tolerate It."

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

Taylor Swift announced Tuesday morning her long-rumored return to the road, with an outing dubbed the “ Eras Tour ” scheduled to hit U.S. stadiums beginning in March 2023 and running into August, with international dates set to be revealed later.

The support acts are very much all about the sisterhood, with a host of acts Swift has championed in the past. Opening acts for the U.S. leg of the tour are Paramore , Haim , Phoebe Bridgers , Beabadoobee, Girl in Red, Muna, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn.

Popular on variety.

As for which album we can consider the tour to be supporting, since she has released four original studios albums since her last tour? All of them. Swift described the tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!),” with a graphic showing her look from different phases of her career.

See the full itinerary, with color-coded graphics indicating which of the nine opening acts got the gigs in which cities:

The public on-sale happens at 10 a.m. local time on Nov. 18. As with all major tours nowadays, there will be an earlier rollout of tickets for credit card members, in this case holders of Capital One cards, beginning Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. through Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. local times.

As with her previous tour, there will be a Ticketmaster Verified Fan program “to ensure tickets get into the hands of fans.” Aspiring ticket buyers can register for the setup now through Nov. 9 here .

Unusually in the modern era of variably priced “platinum tickets” where fans get little information about set ticket prices, Swift has announced the cost of her tickets in advance. They run from $49 up to $449, with VIP packages that start at $199 and go up to $899.

Swift’s announcement promised that international dates are to follow.

There was an attention to detail in the tour announcement even in the graphics signifying the opening acts at different spots in the tour routing, with Bridgers, for instance, being represented by a tiny ghost, in honor of the skeleton costume she’s used on her own headlining tours.

Not accidental, probably, is how that same graphic breaks the tour itinerary down into two columns of 13 dates each. There will be 27 shows in 20 cities. The venues getting a two-night stand are in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Chicago, as well as Arlington, Texas; Foxborough, Mass.; and East Rutherford, N.J.

The reception for “Midnights” upon its October release left no doubt just how strong the appetite for Swift tickets will be. It had the biggest week since Adele’s “25” album, per Luminate this week, with 1,578,000 album-equivalent units. Additionally, it was announced Monday that for the first time in history, all 10 top slots of the Billboard Hot 100 were filled by a single artist’s songs, with “Anti-Hero” leading the way at No. 1. Fans very much wanted the full album, anyway — of the nearly 1.6 million album units registered for “Midnights,” 1,140,000 were copies purchased in the form of the full album. It became Swift’s fifth album, out of her 10 original studio releases overall, to sell a million-plus copies in the first week out. The figure also represented the best first-week sales for an album by any performer since “Reputation” came out of the gate with 1,216,000.

The “Eras Tour” is being produced in-house by Taylor Swift Touring and promoted by the Messina Touring Group.

The tour’s opening acts expressed their enthusiasm in their own ways, such as the tweet from Muna that declared the group “gay for Tay” and pictured the trio in miniature, resting atop Swift’s lighter on the “Midnights” album cover.

How Much Are Taylor Swift’s 2023 Tour Tickets?

Lexi Lane

Yesterday, Taylor Swift announced the North American leg of her new tour, The Eras Tour , which kicks off in 2023. She will be playing stadium shows across the country, in support of her recent album, Midnights , and the albums she’s released since her last shows in 2018.

Ticketmaster is currently offering a Verified Fan Presale that allows fans to select their shows and enter a lottery to be chosen to purchase tickets on November 15. General on-sale starts the day after.

However, with Swift breaking tremendous records for her new album and having new fans from the pandemic, the demand is expected to be extremely high. Many might be wondering — how much are tickets going to be for her tour? Ticketmaster notoriously raises prices based on popularity, as other shows for acts including Harry Styles and Olivia Rodrigo have seen. Swift seems to be trying to find a loophole in the company’s policy though.

Variety confirmed that Swift has announced the prices of her tickets. The standard ones will run from $49 to $449. VIP packages, which typically include exclusive merch and designated seating, range from $199 to $899. These will be available on a “first come, first serve” basis.

Still, some Swifties pointed out that her Ticketmaster page has something different listed. “Ticket prices may fluctuate, based on demand, at any time,” the alert from Ticketmaster reads. There is the potential, unfortunately, that these costs could be even higher than she anticipated.

“Midnights” album

Swift’s tenth album, “Midnights,” was released on Oct. 21, 2022 and was quickly hailed as an instant classic, nabbing a five-star review from Rolling Stone in the process.

Over the course of 13 tracks, Swift lets listeners into her sleepless nights with achingly personal lyrics like the now iconic “Sometimes I feel like everybody is a sexy baby / And I’m a monster on the hill” in the lead single “Anti-Hero.”

Her raw yet coy lyrics over catchy instrumentals and synths didn’t just hit with critics either. Fans embraced “Midnights” right away and it became Spotify’s most streamed album in a single day overnight.

Soon after, she became the first artist to take all ten of the top spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

That’s not to mention her record-shattering vinyl sales.

“Midnights” truly did it all. Hopefully, Swift can get a good night’s sleep.

For a closer look at all of “Midnights'” impressive achievements, check out Entertainment Weekly’s comprehensive list .

You can listen “Midnights” in its entirety here .

Taylor Swift Grammys

Swift, 33, has nabbed 12 Grammy Awards over the course of her decorated career.

This year, she was awarded Best Music Video for “All Too Well,” which she directed as well making her the first artist in history to also have a sole directing credit on their Best Music Video.

Expect a slew of nominations next year too; “Midnights'” missed the cutoff date for eligibility this year.

In the meantime, you can see “All Too Well” — which may or may not be about her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal — starring Sadie Sink (“Stranger Things”) and Dylan O’Brien (“The Maze Runner”) below.

For those wondering, Swift has been dating actor Joe Alwyn (“The Favourite,” “Catherine Called Birdy”) since 2016.

Taylor Swift Ticketmaster fiasco

We alluded to the mess that was Taylor Swift’s Ticketmaster on sale in early November 2022.

It all began when 3.5 million fans signed up for the Verified Fan presale which overwhelmed the ticketing giant.

Things only got worse from there.

Just one day before the release of tickets to the general public, Ticketmaster prematurely cancelled sales due to “extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand.”

Soon after, lawsuits were filed by Swift fans alleging fraud and antitrust violations.

In the months since, the company has been met with a wave of backlash which ultimately led to a Washington, D.C. trial where the Senate Judiciary questioned the company as well their partner Live Nation on their operations, competition, and contracts.

However, after all was said and done, Live Nation who merged with Ticketmaster in 2010, came out unscathed as of now.

The federal appeals court “ruled that the case belongs in arbitration rather than court,” according to the Hollywood Reporter .

While this story is far from over, it appears as if the “Anti-Hero” has an upper leg for now.

$11,000 to see Taylor Swift? How concert tickets got so expensive

Taylor Swift kneels on stage while singing into her microphone as she performs on tour.

  • Copy Link URL Copied!

Today is the day. You called in sick to work. You’ve been looking forward to the chance to buy seats since the show was announced. The webpage loads on your laptop, and you’re met with triple-digit prices for a ticket to see your favorite musician. In the seconds you spend hesitating, the entire concert is sold out. You quickly pull up a reseller site, and the prices are now four digits and climbing.

Taylor Swift fans saw a similar scene this year, as have masses of other aspiring concertgoers. For Swift’s sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood next month, face-value tickets sold for $49 to $449 if you could get them. Now, first-night tickets will set you back around $800 to $11,000 each on StubHub.

How did we end up spending more than your average mortgage payment for a seat at a concert? The answer is ... complicated.

Why are concert tickets so expensive?

There are five major players influencing ticket prices for that concert you’ve been waiting to see: the artists, the promoters who put on the shows, the venues that host them, the ticketing companies that make the initial ticket sales and the resellers that sell seats no longer available from the box office.

Each link in the chain is responsible for some portion of the cost of your concert-night experience, because each link is a business trying to make a profit.

Promoters are the connection between the act and the venue. They officially set the ticket prices, and they take on the loss if the concert doesn’t generate enough ticket sales to cover what the artist has been guaranteed. They organize and publicize the shows, and those costs go into the price of the ticket.

Artists such as Swift at the top of the industry can tell the promoter where to set ticket prices and also pick the venues. Smaller acts have those decisions made for them. Bob Lefsetz , a music-industry analyst and former label executive, said the acts also have power over ticketing fees and resale policies if the primary ticket seller has its own resale platform, although they pay the ticket seller to take the heat for those decisions.

Venues are paid by promoters to put the shows on and the promoters get that money through ticket sales. Venues also may charge a facility fee, which adds to the slew of fees that show up at the end of your purchase. In addition, they may hold back tickets to offer priority access to suite owners and loyalty program members.

How Ticketmaster became the most hated name in music

Fans, politicians and even artists were complaining about Ticketmaster long before Taylor Swift filled stadiums. But experts say the anger may be misplaced.

Jan. 23, 2023

Some venues are owned by or have exclusive deals with promoters such as Live Nation Entertainment (which also owns Ticketmaster). Others are called “open buildings” that any promoter can book. Every building has a ticketing contract, however, which typically requires the ticketing company to pay in advance for the right to sell the seats. And in Lefsetz’s view, Ticketmaster is the only company that has the technology to sell tickets for high-demand events because it has cornered the market and has the money.

For the record:

1:28 p.m. Aug. 21, 2023 This article incorrectly states that Ticketmaster says it consults with artists about fees and shares the proceeds with them. The company says it consults and shares with its clients, which are the venues. Artists may share in fee revenue through the deals their tours make with the venues.

Ticketing companies add fees that can turn a $20 seat into a $35 seat ( Ticketmaster ‘s will make your head spin). Here’s the breakdown of the most common ones:

  • The service fee, also known as a convenience fee, is the amount tacked on for the privilege of buying a ticket online instead of at the box office. Ticketmaster says it sets the fees with the artists’ input and typically shares the proceeds with them.
  • The processing fee is the charge added to each order (not each ticket) to cover miscellaneous expenses associated with online ticketing. The Ticketmaster website says that the processing fee “offsets the costs of ticket handling, shipping and support.” If costs are lower than the processing fee, that money goes to Ticketmaster and is typically shared with the artists.
  • The delivery fee is the charge for getting you the tickets you order, and it varies based on which option you select. The DIY options, such as tickets you print yourself or store in your phone, tend to be free or low-cost; not so much for having physical tickets shipped to your home. Ticketmaster acknowledges that sometimes a portion of this fee goes directly to the company.
  • The facility charge is what helps the venue run the show. Ticketmaster’s website says it does not profit from this fee and does not decide how high it is. Artists decide if there is a fee and how much it is.

A 2018 report by the Government Accountability Office found that fees on initial ticket sales added 27% to the cost, on average. The lower the price of the ticket, however, the more burdensome the fees can seem.

Ticketmaster is this industry’s Goliath, but there are other ticketing agencies handling smaller venues and acts. Their common goal is to get rid of software “bots” that quickly buy tickets in bulk, raising prices for hot shows by shifting tickets to the resale market.

Resellers and ticket brokers such as StubHub and SeatGeek create a secondary market for tickets that buyers can’t — or never intended to — use themselves. Brokers compete with fans for seats in the initial sales, using teams of employees or software bots that snap up tickets faster than individuals can. In addition, the GAO’s report found that event promoters will sometimes distribute tickets through brokers “to capture a share of higher secondary market prices without the reputation risk of raising an event’s ticket prices directly.”

The GAO also said that, according to the four resellers interviewed for its report, “professional brokers represent either the majority or overwhelming majority of ticket sales on their sites.” StubHub takes issue with the GAO’s number; of the people who sold tickets through the site last year, it classifies less than 1% as brokers.

Resale prices for tickets are set by the seller, although some resale sites will suggest prices for them. And this is where ticket prices can skyrocket, because the sites don’t limit how much a seller can charge.

“This is a truly market-driven platform,” StubHub spokesperson Jessica Finn said. “So this is really about what sellers think that the price, the value of the ticket is, and what buyers think the value of the ticket is, and they effectively agree on it with a purchase.... It’s very much a dynamic marketplace, prices go up and down and we don’t meddle with that.”

You better lawyer up, Ticketmaster: Taylor Swift fans file Eras Tour lawsuit

A lawsuit filed by Taylor Swift fans accuses Ticketmaster of ‘purposefully mislead[ing] ticket purchasers’ during the Eras Tour pre-sale.

Dec. 4, 2022

Lefsetz said the secondary market sells tickets for the prices they do because that is what the tickets are worth. They wouldn’t be on sale for those prices if people didn’t buy them for that price. If they set the price too high the tickets won’t sell — for example, tickets for Adele’s Las Vegas shows sold for an average price of $1,900, compared with the average listed price of $4,800, according to StubHub.

Resellers charge a similar array of fees to ticket buyers, but they add more on average to the cost of seats than the original ticket seller’s fees do. University of Chicago professor Eric Budish, an economist who studies ticketing in the United States, found that resellers charged buyers and sellers fees amounting to 30% to 40% of the ticket resale value. “So if a Taylor Swift ticket resells for, say, $2,000, the secondary market site ... might be making 30% of that amount. Thirty percent of $2,000 is $600. Taylor Swift sold the ticket for, say, $300. So the secondary marketplace is making more than Taylor Swift is, and then the broker is making more than either of them.”

Lefsetz says people want to sit in great seats without having to pay an exorbitant price for them; instead, they think they’re entitled to sit there because of how much they love the artist. “Everyone thinks that it is only the ultra-rich who are buying four-figure concert tickets. No, there are people who are saving up. This is their favorite band!”

What are the options for the future of ticketing?

The way Budish sees it, the industry has three economically logical options moving forward.

We could continue as we are with unrestricted reselling. Tickets go on sale at the price set by the promoter and, despite repeated efforts to confine sales to actual human fans, many get bought up by bots in seconds to be sold on the secondary market. Currently, it’s hard for fans to tell how many of the venue’s seats are even being made available in the primary sale, rather than being reserved for VIPs or other special interests.

The next option is that the promoters set what is called a “market-clearing price,” that is, a price high enough to prevent the tickets from being resold for more money, but low enough to attract a full house of fans.

The market-clearing price could be thousands of dollars for prime seats to see a top act, and an artist may balk at the image that projects. But this price depends on the supply of tickets available. If artists add shows in a city where their music is popular, they can lower the price and accommodate the demand.

Ticketmaster has started trying to set market-clearing prices through a program it calls “platinum tickets,” in which it sells the most in-demand seats separately from the primary ticket offering. According to the website, platinum ticket prices are determined by the demand, with the price for hot tickets rising as the supply goes down, “similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold.”

The company says that the goal of platinum tickets is to allow artists and promoters to set ticket prices that they think reflect their true market value. But the program can generate fierce backlash from fans, as Bruce Springsteen discovered last year when platinum ticket prices skyrocketed above $4,000 .

The final option is to restrict or end resale. Options for this route would be to make tickets nontransferable, allow resale only at face value and only on the primary seller’s resale platform and use technology to attempt to identify real fans by looking for irregular behavior on their accounts. The Cure used all of these measures on their most recent tour. Lead singer Robert Smith advocated for his fans to the point that he convinced Ticketmaster to refund some of the excessively high fees on the tickets.

Free from fees? California bill combats ‘junk’ fees for everything from concert tickets to groceries

Senate Bill 478 would prohibit companies from hiding mandatory fees that lawmakers described as a “deceptive advertising practice.”

Feb. 14, 2023

What would it mean to restrict ticket resale?

A ticketing company called Dice has attempted to block the secondary market by issuing tickets only a few hours before an event and enabling customers to return unwanted tickets for resale at face value. This generates a refund only if the tickets are resold by Dice. Fans looking for tickets to a sold-out show can get on a waiting list, forming a virtual line for the next ticket made available for resale by Dice. This allows the price to stay the same and for the revenue to go to the artist and the venue.

The waiting list also shows artists what the demand is for their concerts. If there are more fans on the waiting list than the number of tickets sold, then they can add another tour date in that city.

Dice allows some tickets to be transferred from the buyer to another user of the Dice app, which opens the door to tickets being exchanged for more than face value — potentially through another platform. The company tries to prevent that, however, by using machine learning and other tools to monitor its system for “suspicious behavior,” spokesperson Joomi Park said. “If we suspect anyone is trying to cheat the system, they’re banned from Dice, it’s that simple,” Park added.

You can’t get your Taylor Swift or NBA tickets on Dice, but what would happen if this idea was implemented on a larger scale?

FIFA, the international football association, uses a similar resale process for the World Cup, offering a platform where people can sell the tickets they bought but they cannot set the price lower than 15% or exceed 110% of the original face value of the ticket. (FIFA also charges a 10% administration fee.)

So, what deters World Cup fans from going elsewhere to sell their tickets? At the 2023 men’s World Cup, it was the host country’s government: Qatar passed a law granting FIFA exclusive rights to sell World Cup tickets. According to Reuters, “hawkers caught face fines of up to 10 times the face value of the tickets being sold illegally.”

Still, fans with money have shown time and again that they’ll pay far more than the face value of a ticket to see their favorite artists, so it’s unrealistic to think that the secondary market can be eliminated. People will still resell seats under the table; the more this happens in unauthorized channels, the less protection fans will have against scams.

And there are many reasons people want the freedom to resell tickets as they see fit. StubHub’s Finn offered this example: Say you had a ticket to an Inter Miami season-opening game to see Lionel Messi play. “You’re going with your son and suddenly realize like, ‘Hey, I can actually pay for my entire set of tickets next season if I don’t go to this one starter game.’ Can you really discredit the person from trying to think that way? That’s the way the market turns. That’s not an unfair thing for them.”

The resale market is attractive to artists too. Major artists have been known to dip their toes in the secondary market by withholding tickets during the primary sale and then “reselling” them to make more money off the broken system.

In 2011, the Smoking Gun website posted a copy of Katy Perry’s rider for her world tour that year, laying out the amenities that had to be provided at each stop. One demand was that promoters hold back tickets for her team to offer through resellers.

Budish says this practice isn’t uncommon; many artists have been caught doing it. For example, in 2019, Live Nation admitted to an agreement with Metallica to hold back 88,000 tickets for the band to sell on the secondary market.

Maggie Rogers performs in support of her "Surrender" release on March 05, 2023 in San Francisco, Calif

Sick of fees and bots? Maggie Rogers invites fans to buy concert tickets ‘like it’s 1965’

The artist encouraged fans to come out to their local box offices on Friday and purchase tickets for her upcoming tour, thus avoiding online fees and bots.

April 6, 2023

What are bots and can anything be done about them?

According to Queue-it , a company that helps manage high-volume website traffic, there are multiple parts in the ticket-buying process where scalpers employ bots. During ticket presales, bots can create fake accounts to circumvent buying limits, or they can even hack existing, real accounts. To get into legitimate accounts, a bot may be designed to guess passwords, which is called credential cracking . They also can use stolen passwords and apply them in bulk to ticketing websites, something called credential stuffing .

During the primary sale, people can use scraping bots to scan the internet for available tickets so they are the first to arrive at the sale. Then, they use expediting bots to buy many tickets at once.

There is even a bot that can hold tickets in its cart so it appears to fans that the tickets are sold out, inducing them to go to the secondary market. These are called denial of inventory bots .

According to a 2018 study by Distil Networks , a company that detects and mitigates bots, about 40% of the bots observed across all 180 ticketing domains were what they call “bad bots,” which are computer programs designed to cause harm.

The National Independent Venue Assn. which represents independent venues and promoters, has created a coalition called Fix the Tix that lobbies for measures to restrict bots. The coalition wants Congress to update the 2016 Better Online Ticket Sales Act to ban speculative ticket sales and expand the protections against bots used by “predatory resellers.”

A tricky aspect of making sure tickets land in the hands of fans is that artists can’t identify who their fans are. They have created fan clubs to give registered members early access to tickets, but brokers created multiple bogus registrations and bought up tickets that way. Ticketmaster attempted ensure that tickets went solely to fans with its “Verified Fan” initiative, but the company got bombarded with bots anyway.

Ticketing companies have also tried to deter bot sales by attaching an ID to a ticket that must be checked at the door. But that raises venues’ costs by requiring them to have people checking IDs, Budish said.

I need a ticket, what do I do?

If you are buying on the secondary market, use a trusted service that can verify your ticket and reimburse you if you encounter a problem.

Waiting until the last minute is a high-risk, high-reward strategy. If people price their tickets too high on the resale market, they won’t sell. (The same is true for the initial sale prices). So inevitably, buyers (and promoters) will eventually cut their prices to avoid being stuck with unsold seats — but only if there’s too much supply.

StubHub noted that interest in tickets peaks when the tickets first go on sale and sometimes right before the show. It advises fans to buy some time in between.

Compare the popularity of the act and the venue. If it is a high-demand show in a small space, prices are likely to be more expensive. Check if they are playing at any bigger venues.

Check prices on different websites to compare. If you see a price that looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Your favorite artist’s tour may be sponsored by a credit card company, which will have tickets reserved for cardholders. Leftsetz said that his credit card company reached out to him months after the Taylor Swift tickets sold out and asked if he wanted tickets. They sometimes do presales as well.

Join the fan club. If there is a fan club for an artist, it typically gets an allotment of tickets. According to the GAO, 10% to 30% of the tickets for major artists’ shows are typically reserved for presales, whether for fan clubs or other groups, although the percentage can be much higher for the biggest events.

Think about going alone. It is harder to sell single tickets, so they are likely to resell at a lower price than groups of tickets.

Know someone. Meet someone who works for the building, the act or the promoter.

Just show up at the venue on the day of the show. If the tickets that were held back during the primary sale didn’t sell, then promoters may give them to the box office to sell. Nonprofessional ticket scalpers also show up at the event and try to sell tickets there, but beware — scalping is generally illegal in California , and you may be scammed with counterfeit tickets.

How much will Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour tickets be? Where to get The Eras Tour pre-sale codes? What cities will Taylor play in? Here's what we know...

Listen to this article

Taylor Swift ? Going on tour? The rumours ARE true. The Eras Tour IS happening. And we're all about to be filing for bankruptcy after fighting to get our hands on those tickets.

In case you haven't heard, Taylor confirmed that she is set to tour after the release of her tenth studio album Midnights . So far, Taylor's official channels have only confirmed that she will be touring the US and the UK, but worldwide dates will be announced soon.

Taylor's last tour was way back in 2018 when she took Reputation on the road. She was then scheduled to tour her Lover album with a series of Lover Fest shows in 2020, but had to cancel due to the pandemic.

That means she's now got a whopping FOUR new albums ( Lover , Folklore, Evermore, Midnights ) and two re-recorded albums ( Fearless TV and Red TV ) that have yet to be toured.

Fans have been desperate to see the made-up Folklovermore tour happen, but now we've got The Eras Tour to look forward to. Here's everything we know about the tour so far, including tour dates, tour stops, potential ticket prices, where to find pre-sale codes and everything in between.

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour: Everything we know so far...

The Eras Tour dates: When is Taylor Swift going on tour in 2023?

So far, Taylor has only confirmed tour dates for the US leg of The Eras Tour. She'll start her US shows in late March 2023, and play through to early August 2023.

As for the UK tour dates? We're still waiting for confirmation on those. Based on her tweet, Taylor will tour the UK and Europe after the US leg. Other international tour dates will also follow.

Back in 2019, Taylor explained to Zane Lowe why she couldn't commit to a worldwide Lover stadium tour : "I’ve got some pretty intense things happening with my family right now. I can’t go on long tours and not have the ability to go home if I need to. I have priorities that aren’t just touring now, and [the fans] have been really respectful of that in the past."

Bookmark this page – we'll update with more info as soon as it's announced.

I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!) The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can! https://t.co/KFuqvrhSGo pic.twitter.com/eVyTcuW8sK — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) November 1, 2022

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour pre-sale codes: How to find a pre-sale code for your country

In the UK, fans were able to get a pre-sale code when they pre-ordered the Midnights album from Taylor's official UK store . The window to secure those codes has now closed, but more codes will no doubt be announced once the UK dates are confirmed.

For fans in the US, there's several ways in which you can get a pre-sale code for the tour. First, you can get a pre-sale code through the Capital One exclusive cardholder pre-sale .

  • To get into the pre-sale, you'll need to a) be a Capital One cardholder, and b) visit Taylor Swift's official events page on November 15th at 2PM (LOCAL VENUE TIME) to buy tickets with that Capital One card. (You'll need the first 6 digits of your Capital One card to gain access to the pre-sale.)
  • Fans can also gain access to the Ticketmaster Verified Fan pre-sale. You'll need to register on your Ticketmaster account BEFORE Wednesday, November 9 @ 11:59PM ET and you will then receive an email confirmation with details on what to expect next.

No other pre-sale codes have been announced yet. So if you live outside of the UK and the US, keep your eyes peeled and notifications on for Taylor and Taylor Nation's accounts.

Tickets will go on sale after Taylor has revealed the tour dates and locations. Ticket sale dates will also be announced in advance. Fans will have plenty of time to prepare and get ready to buy their tickets.

Taylor Swift 2023 tour locations: What cities will Taylor play in?

Taylor has confirmed that The Eras Tour will be an international tour, but so far, only the US leg locations have been announced.

On the US leg, Taylor will be stopping in 20 cities across the country, with 27 shows announced so far. Here's the full list so far:

  • Glendale, AZ
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Arlington, TX
  • Houston, TX
  • Nashville, TN
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Foxborough, MA
  • East Rutherford, NJ
  • Chicago, IL
  • Detroit, MI
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Minneapolis, MN
  • Cincinatti, OH
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Seattle, WA
  • Santa Clara, CA
  • Los Angeles, CA

Taylor's Lover Fest tour was scheduled to have festival dates in Europe (Belgium, Germany, Norway, UK, Denmark, Poland, France, Spain and Portugal. UK's Glastonbury was also included in those dates), South America (Brazil) and North America (Atlanta, Los Angeles and Foxborough).

In contrast, Taylor's record breaking Rep tour had 53 shows, with Taylor visiting the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Thanks to her announcement, we know for sure that Taylor will be touring in the UK. As for what cities? We'll have to wait for the announcement to know more about where Taylor will be playing outside of the US.

The Eras Tour ticket prices: How much will the tickets to Taylor Swift's tour be?

Until the tickets start to go on sale, we won't know exactly how much it'll cost for pit standing, standard standing or seated admission.

Fans have been sharing information about how much they've paid in the past for her stadium shows. Prices for her upcoming tour will probably not be the same, but could be a similar price depending on the location.

But with Ticketmaster's controversial Platinum ticket feature that saw Harry Styles fans end up paying extortionate amounts for his upcoming shows, the most in-demand tickets at Taylor's shows could end up being more expensive than ever.

That said, we'll just have to wait and see! Better start saving up now, Swifties!

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour setlist: What songs will she play?

Taylor has confirmed that The Eras Tour is a "a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!)" With 10 albums and hundreds of bops, bangers and ballads to choose from, the setlist for the The Eras Tour is going to be incredible.

Taylor will no doubt include a handful of songs from her latest album Midnights , as well as songs that have yet to be performed in a tour setting from Folklore, Evermore and Lover . (Fingers crossed for a live performance of 'Cruel Summer'!!!)

In terms of her re-recorded albums, tracks from Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version) will also likely make the set list.

It's unclear when Taylor will be releasing any more re-recorded albums, and if they'll be released by the time she sets off on tour. Both 1989 (Taylor's Version) and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) have been teased through easter eggs and on Taylor's website. But it is possible that Taylor could perform several of her old songs that she has not yet officially re-released.

Just like on the Reputation tour, Taylor could also perform a surprise song at each of the dates.

Taylor Swift reveals jam-packed schedule for Midnights release

Will Taylor Swift headline Glastonbury in 2023?

Taylor was scheduled to perform at the iconic festival in 2020 alongside fellow headliners Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney. However, she declined to keep her headline slot when the festival was rescheduled to 2022.

Speculation that she'll finally be back on the line-up for 2023 has circulated on the internet but given that she has not yet released her own versions of her Taylor Swift, Speak Now, 1989 and Reputation albums, it's possible that she might hold off until she finally owns all of her songs and albums.

That said, the current US leg schedule does leave a cheeky gap for her to POTENTIALLY (!) perform on the Pyramid Stage on Friday 23rd June... before travelling back to the US to continue the tour in Minneapolis on the 24th.

Only time will tell if she does! If we all start manifesting now, it'll eventually come true. (And if not this year, fingers crossed for 2024!)
