• All rates are based on lowest lead in rates by twin sharing basis (Min 2 paxs requires). All fares are in Ringgit Malaysia and do not include Port Charges, Gratuity Fee, Visa Fee, shore excursions (optional land tour) , Holiday Surcharge, Travel document and other incidental charges.
• Triple/Quad Cabin is limited and subject to cabin availability.
• Please always refer to our cruise team for system accuracy/real time availability.
• Cruising schedule and itinerary is subject to cruise company final arrangement.
• Child must accompany by at least 1 adult above 18 years old in the same cabin.
• Rates are applicable to Malaysian & Foreigners holding employee pass or PR status in Malaysia only.
• Pregnant women will only be permitted before their 24th weeks of their pregnancy.
• Infant age above 6 months on the departure date are allowed cruise.
• Infant fares applicable for infant age below 24 months & above six months on sailing date.
• Passport validity MUST be ABOVE six (6) months prior to departure dates.
• It is passenger’s responsibility to ensure all visa requirements as per regulation & all necessary document needed for cruising & embarkation procedures.
• TERMS & CONDITIONS:
• An additional administration fee per person will be charged for changes made or any cancellation being made to booking after confirmation bookings is confirmed. The fee excludes cancellation fees.
• Cancellation policy stated in the table below is for sailings in Normal Season. Irrespective of the notice period given, a 100% full fare will be charged for cancellation made for Peak Season sailings or any applicable promotional fares.
• Add on additional passengers within the same cabin, prevailing rate applies or any split-off to a new cabin, the new cabin booking is at prevailing rate
• Such amendments include the following;
• ● Change of passenger name - amendment fee charge per name change; and at least one original name remains unchanged within each cabin. Otherwise, subjectto cancellation charges for all name changes.
• ● NO change of passenger & swap passenger allowed for booking less than 7 days. 100% cancellation charge will be charge accordingly.
• Cancellation feewill be IMPOSED for the following and the new booking will be subject to prevailing rate:
• (a) Total change of passenger names (when all passengers’ names within a cabin require change)
• (c) Downgrading of cabins category (from higher category to lower category)
• (d) Change of vessel (if applicable)
• (e) Downgrade of itinerary (e.g. From 3-night to 2-nights)

You probably can't find any information at the moment for several reasons

2. The port in Penang is closed to all cruise ships. We don't know when it might reopen.

3. Have the current " cruise to nowhere" ships survived? Will they be operating by June? Again, we just don't know.

Maybe start your search again after we know what is happening with Malaysia's policy on opening its borders. Until then nothing is going out or coming back in, and that includes the gambling ships.

yes right now and unfortunately we will have restrictions throughout the world for sometime to come and will take time for things to get back to anywhere near normal... in many a case lots of things will not come back

also consider that many counties are going to insist that you have proof with you that you have had a vaccine shot or no entry ... many things we take ..have taken for granted will not exists we have been lucky here in Australia and followed the rules to the letter that the government set down ...BUT our boarders in and out of the country are still closed

George Town , Dec 4 : Genting Cruise Lines has been allowed to resume its domestic cruises at Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) here, beginning Dec 22.

The Penang Port Commission (PPC) and SPCT will assist Genting Cruise Lines in ensuring the services provided are safe and comfortable for the passengers with tight standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines on how to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The international cruise ship Star Pisces will be used to offer five trips every week, including a to-and-fro trip from Penang, a two-night package to Langkawi, Kedah and a one-night trip along the Straits of Malacca. The packages start from RM199.

Review of amusement world.

The 1967-built (as "MS Patricia") cruise ship Amusement World was one of the gambling vessels sailing in the waters of Singapore .

The vessel (IMO number 6620773) was owned by the Hong Kong China -based New Century Group (via the subsidiary New Century Maritime Ltd) and operated by New Century Cruise Lines (travel brand and part of the subsidiary New Century Tours Corporation Pte Ltd).

When operated by New Century Cruise Lines, Amusement World was initially Tuvalu- flagged (MMSI 572243000, registered in Funafuti) and later reflagged to Panama (MMSI 374142000, registered in Colon ).

History - construction and ownership

MS Amusement World entered service in 1967 (as Patricia). The ship was drydock reconstructed twice - in 1978 (by Smith Dock Co Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne England ) and in 1988 (by Werft Nobiskrug AG in Rendsburg Germany ). Smaller refurbishment projects were conducted in 1990, 1994, and 1997.

The vessel was built by Lindholmens Varv AB in Goteborg Sweden (hull/yard number 1095) and had min passenger capacity 946 (lower berths), max capacity 1300 (all beds), 6 passenger-accessible decks (3 with cabins), powerplant with 4x Wartsila diesel engines (model PIELSTICK 6PC2-2L-400, total power output 7,42 MW), propulsion system based on 2x CPP (controllable pitch propellers), service speed 15 knots (max 18 KN).

The 1300-passenger ship Amusement World had two sisterships: Saga (Swedish Lloyd) and Svea (Rederi AB Svea/ SILJA LINE ). The vessel was originally designed and built as a cruiseferry - with cargo capacity 175 cars and max passenger capacity 750. The shipowner Swedish Lloyd decided to sell MS Patricia to STENA LINE in 1978 and the name was changed to "Stena Oceanica". Following a drydock reconstruction, the ferry was redesigned in order to increase its cabin number and passenger capacity (to 1300).

As a Ro-Pax (car and passenger) ship, Patricia operated the Spain-England route Bilbao - Southampton . During its service, the ship was named Patricia (1967-1978), Stena Oceanica (1978-79), Stena Saga (1979-1988), Lion Queen (1988-1990 and 1994-97), Crown Princess and Crown Princess Victoria (1990), Pacific Star (1990-93), Sun Fiesta (1993-94), Putri Bintang (1998), Amusement World (1998-2021).

As a casino ship, Amusement World's itinerary program was based on cruises to nowhere out of homeport Singapore (where replaced the fleetmate Leisure World/Skyward ). Most of the time, Amusement World spent anchored in the Singapore Straits. Occasionally, the boat was chartered by Malaysian tour operators.

In late-April 2021, New Century Cruise Lines (NCCL) retired two of Asia's longest-serving cruise ships - Amusement World (54-year-old) and Leisure World (52-year-old). Commenting on the disposal of both vessels, NCCL said that the COVID crisis had severely affected the operations of the cruise ships, which had been unable to generate charter revenue while at the same time continued to incur maintenance costs. Coupled with strong scrap steel prices, the company decided to sell the boats to realize its investment in an uncertain market environment.

• Leisure World was sold to NKD Maritime Ltd (India) for USD 3,59 million (~EUR 2,98M/~GBP 2,59M), gaining ~HKD 6,37M (~USD 0,82M) on the sale / based on its book value HKD 21,3M.
• Amusement World was also sold to NKD Maritime Ltd.
• Both ships were sold for scrap metal and departed their anchorage (off Singapore) heading to Alang India .
• Amusement World's AIS last transmitted on August 2 (at 5:49 UTC) showing the boat off Alang.

The New Century Maritime-owned cruise ship Aegean Paradise (1990-built as "Orient Venus") was sold to Victor Restis (Greece) in 2015 for USD 22 million.

Shipboard facilities and amenities

The 250-seat Patricia's Restaurant offered western and oriental buffet-style meals to all passengers. A-la-carte service was also available. The 40-seat Hawker Centre was the dining venue to sample Hawke (cooked food) in the evenings.

The latest drydock changes transforming the vessel into a gambling ship resulted in increasing the space of the main gaming area (on C Deck). The Saloon Deck's venues were refurbished in order for guests to take advantage of food, karaoke, spa massages.

The Lion Bar hosted a daily show (themed on magician acts and trivia games) to keep the tourists entertained. After the show, guests had the opportunity to sample wines and other beverages until the wee hours.

The Sporty Bar was a jazz-themed lounge with a ping pong table, putting green, dart-throwing board. Along the walkway to the Lion Bar, there was a state-of-the-art Video Arcade attracting guests of all ages.

In 1786 Francis Light persuaded the Sultan of Kedah to cede Pulau Pinang - the "Isle of Betel nut" - to the English crown. Legend has it that Light persuaded his men to clear the overgrown island of Penang by firing a cannon filled with gold coins into the jungle as an incentive. The island was renamed Prince of Wales Island, and its major town was christened Georgetown after King George III. Whether the story is true or not, Penang quickly became a major trading port for tea, spices, china and cloth. Here European, Malaysian, Hindu, Arabic and Chinese cultures met, melded and flourished. Today George Town is a cosmopolitan city that has preserved its unique heritage and its exotic blend of cultures. George Town is perhaps the best-preserved city in Southeast Asia. It boasts a European-style esplanade and a wealth of temples, mosques and Chinese clan houses. Listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2008, this virgin paradise has no shortage of cultural sights and natural scenery.

A peaceful haven, Penang's butterfly farm, is home over 100 species of live butterflies. Walk through their covered aviary and the landscaped gardens that boast waterfalls, wooden bridges and ponds.

Boasting intricate carvings, Khoo Kongsi is one of the finest examples of a traditional Clan House found outside of Mainland China. Located in the oldest part of the city, it dates back to 1906.

Built in 1821, this impressive Museum occupies the original Penang Free School, and its extensive collections include old photographs, maps and charts, as well as Southeast Asian art and artifacts.

Reclining Buddha Temple is a traditional Thai Buddhist temple which features the fourth-largest reclining Buddha in the world. This magnificent, gold-covered statue is over one hundred feet long.

The Temple of Paradise sits on Penang Hill and is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. It features a seven-story pagoda and architecture that reflects Thai, Chinese and Burmese influences.

Established by the British in 1884, the gardens are also known as the 'Waterfall Gardens', and features native and hybrid orchids, as well as collections of cacti, ferns, bamboo and flowering trees.

The typical home of a rich Baba of a century ago is recreated to offer a glimpse of their opulent lifestyle and their many customs and traditions.
