I went and seen Tom Keifer in Herrin Illinois, He and his band put on a awesome show and that is why when I found out he was going to be in DuQuoin Il I had to go and see them again can't wait. I have always loved the music of Cinderella and now that Tom Keifer is out playing shows and with his new material and his old it is a absolutely amazing concert the music and talent is all there. Makes me remember what it was like when I first heard Cinderella and fell in love with them. Honestly wish they were headlining the show but doesn't matter I am still going I am sure Sabastian Bach will be okay but I am totally going for the Tom Keifer band!!

Keiffer was absolutely fantastic as ALWAYS! They braved stormy skies, etc. (TK had an apparent foot/ankle injury) and put on another great show. I have seen the band several times and will always be there any time they are within driving distance.

BTW LAVA Rock opened for them. I don't, as a rule, care for tribute bands. Again, I have seen them a number of time and they always put on a great show too. (LAVA = Led Zep, Aerosmith, VanHalen, AC/DC - 4 tributes in one!)

The Show Was a Perfect 10 - We saw the Band twice at The canyon in Augora and The Rose In pasadena - Just Because we couldnt Get enough -- We Couldn't Make to the 3rd Show at The Whisky But we will wait until They Perform again In LA or Near by LA -- Prior to that I saw Cinderella back 1987 at The Forum - Tom Still have that Raspy Voice which make Him Very Unique -

I worked Barricade security for Tom in 1989 while he toured they the Tri state area, Ohio Indiana Illinois.

He was amazing then.

Last night he was still as talented and had AMAZING vocals still.

He made the memories I already had even stronger with his performance in Versailles, Ohio

First time to see Tom Keifer live and was not disappointed. Amazing performance by an amazing performer! They had so much energy and crowd was pumped up! Can't wait to see him again. We got the VIP pass and seen the sound check and meet n greet with Tom, pictures and autograph. Best night yet!

The combination of the Cinderella songs and his new solo material is perfect. I only wish they had more merch at the show!

This is my second time in a year I went to his show. I was blown away the first time as he sounded awesome and gave his everything. The man still has it and the second show confirmed that for me. I recommend him to anyone that likes hard rock.

Unfortunately, I came down with the flu and couldn't make it. I hope he comes back soon, so I can hear him sing. I really wanted to go but it just wasn't happening and I am sad for missing the show. Looks like he did a great job.

Last month, Tom released the official music video for the song "A Different Light" . The track is taken from Tom 's critically acclaimed solo debut album, "The Way Life Goes" , which is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The new video, produced and edited by Joshua Smith , features fan-shot live footage of the #keiferband from the first year on tour (2013) through the most recent tour in 2022. Opening in somber black-and-white profiles of suffering souls, Keifer 's sultry vocals reflect the troubles of those in despair as shimmering instrumental vibrations build into an iconic key change. Within the first minute, the viewer is graced with an exalted perspective, and a fully technicolor, changed world. The anthem and video wind between contemplative compassion and explosive enthusiasm, ultimately landing on a perspective of hope and array of smiles where "everybody shines."

Keifer 's story begins as the singer-songwriter, guitarist and frontman of hard rock heavyweights CINDERELLA . His signature voice, guitar and bluesy, no-B.S. arena-shaking songwriting, played an integral role in moving records to the tune of 15 million worldwide. Tom Keifer is enjoying continued success recording and touring with #keiferband — Tom Keifer , Savannah Keifer , Tony Higbee , Billy Mercer , Kendra Chantelle , Jarred Pope and Kory Myers — releasing two critically acclaimed solo albums, the aforementioned "The Way Life Goes" and "Rise" .

"Rise" , released in September 2019 on Cleopatra Records , features the rousing, rollicking rock singles "The Death Of Me" and "Hype" . Both singles landed in the Billboard Mainstream Rock Top 40. Keifer 's deep-seated roots shine through to the very core on "Rise" , something that was embedded at the very heart of his music created during the multiplatinum CINDERELLA days.

"When this band came together, we all felt a bit like broken souls, each with our own unique story," Tom explained. "If you ask anyone in the band, they would all say this band came along at just the right time. Every human who walks this planet faces challenges and extreme adversity they have to overcome. As a band, we feel fortunate to be able to face those things together. There is a piece of every band member in the 'The Death Of Me' as well as throughout the entire 'Rise' album."

The common thread to each song on "Rise" is the intuitive interplay between each member of #keiferband , a tight but loose collective that's spent the last few years on the road honing their live craft together. "Rise" is the studio-bred equivalent of a band just now realizing the full scope of its powers.

"We were trying to capture the feeling of what people have witnessed live with this band," Keifer explained. "There's an off-the-rails, real live feel to 'Rise' — and that's what we were going for. It shows a real kind of angst and reckless abandon that we tried not to polish too much. And when we pull it back on the ballads, it's more about the emotion, the soul, and making people feel something in a different way."

"To me, the perfect rock and roll record is perfectly fucked up," Keifer said with a hearty laugh. "You try to make each record interesting and different. I don't ever want to make the same record twice, even though there's a common thread between them. Everything doesn't have to be perfectly in place, but there is a balance you try to strike. Sometimes there may be something about it that's technically not 'right,' but there's a vibe, an energy and an attitude to it that I always try to preserve."

In March 2022, Keifer said that he was "not prepared" for the 2021 passing of CINDERELLA guitarist Jeff LaBar . Jeff was found dead by his wife, Debinique Salazar-LaBar , on July 14, 2021 inside his apartment in Nashville. He was 58 years old.

"I've gotta tell you, you're never really ready for that kind of loss; you're not prepared to hear that kind of thing," Keifer told SiriusXM 's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" . "And everyone is still trying to grieve and process it. It's an emotional topic. Jeff was just such a passionate, amazing person, musician, human. He had a huge heart. And it was a tough one, man. It still is, for everybody."

Tom continued: " Jeff and I had a really good relationship throughout out career. Obviously, in bands there's times when you have differences; that's part of being in a band. It's true what people say about bands — that they're like a family, but, honestly, it's like that and even more intense, because there's so many different facets that inform the dynamics between bands; everything from business to creativity and everything in between. But despite any differences that we've had over the years, and the band in general, as I've always said, we've never aired anything like that.

" Jeff and I had a great relationship," Keifer repeated. "I loved Jeff — I really did — and have so many great memories of our journey together. He was amazing, and not just what he contributed to the music. Jeff had such a great sense of humor, and some of my favorite memories with Jeff are just kind of cutting up together on the bus. We were both big movie fans and could quote pretty much all our favorite movies. And we'd sit in the front lounge and quote 'Arthur' and 'The Big Lebowski' and 'Caddyshack' . He was just a really passionate, really fun guy to be around, and obviously, an amazing performer. He was a huge part of CINDERELLA .

"Like I said, you're never ready for that. And everyone is really honestly… I'm in touch with Eric [ Brittingham , bass] and Fred [ Coury , drums] regularly — everybody close to him — and we're still trying to process it. We really are."

Although CINDERELLA hasn't released a new studio album since 1994's "Still Climbing" , the band started playing sporadic shows again in 2010 but has been largely inactive for the last few years while Keifer focused on his solo career.

Tom  was scheduled to join forces with  RATT ,  SKID ROW  and  SLAUGHTER  for  “The Big Rock Summer Tour” this past summer, but the trek was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Tom Keifer Unveils Video for ‘It’s Not Enough’ + New Tour Dates

Last summer  Tom Keifer released a lyric video for the track "It's Not Enough," and now the  Cinderella frontman is unleashing the official video for the song from his 2013 debut solo album The Way Life Goes . Check out the clip above via Guitar Player .

"We've been compiling footage from our shows throughout the tour with the idea of making a video that would sum up the energy of the entire project to date, and give the feeling of being on tour with my solo band," Keifer says. "We have really become a family with this band, onstage and off."

Keifer continues, "'It's Not Enough' has taken on a whole new meaning and felt like the perfect song for a video that's a look into this high-energy, guitar oriented show, where everyone on that stage lives and breathes to share that moment with the people who make it all possible. The fans!"

The video ends with a message thanking the fans, and that they will see them on the road in 2015. "The fans breathe the life into the music and our shows," Keifer says. "A mere thank you really doesn't feel like enough so we are hitting the road again in 2015 and will do our very best to give them a hundred and fifty percent! We are just getting started."

Tom Keifer Still Dishing Out Solid Performances On Solid Ground

The Sonic Slam tour which has been going strong all month, landed at the historic Goodyear Theater in Akron, OH this past Wednesday. Tom Keifer and his band headlined the affair with an arousing 90-minute set that featured many Cinderella staples. The tour also marked Keifer’s first live performances since early 2020.

Kicking things off with “Touching the Divine”, the opening cut from his latest album Rise was a fine way to get the show started. A blistering “Night Songs” followed up by the sing-along beauty of “Coming Home” made for a perfect way to begin the evening.

One very noticeable thing was how good Keifer sounded. The two year plus break has served Keifer’s voice well as I would have to say this was the best I have heard him going back to the start of the 2000’s. “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)” sounded great with its acoustic opening before kicking in full throttle. It generally takes a good month before a band is fully dialed in on a tour and I was lucky to be able to see them peak at the right time.

The big difference between Keifer and his fellow genre singers of the 80’s is that he actually plays solo material and does not rest his laurels entirely on the Cinderella catalog. Although Keifer was responsible for writing 95% of the Cinderella catalog it was songs such as “Rise” and “Solid Ground” which solidified the set list. A crowd pleasing “Shelter Me” brought the main set to a close. The band returned for an encore of the classic “Gypsy Road” before Keifer and his band said goodnight.

Where Keifer goes from here is anyone’s guess. Hopefully another Keifer Band album followed up by another solid tour package like this is in the cards. Keifer appears to be taking good care of himself as evident by his strong voice and young looks. I would like to know what fountain of youth he has been drinking from.

Encore Gypsy Road

LA Guns were up next on the bill. The band is led by guitarist Tracii Guns and vocalist Phil Lewis. Backing them up are guitarist Ace Von Johnson, bassist Johnny Martin and drummer Shawn Duncan. The only letdown of the night was that the band only performed 8 songs. Given their placement on the bill I would have thought they would be able to play at least 10 songs.

The band went right into “Cannonball” the opening track from their latest release Checkered Past. “Speed” a fast rocker also from the new album was featured during the band’s all too brief 45 minute set.

Highlights in the short set included Tracii Guns playing the bow during “Over The Edge”, “Never Enough” and the band’s customary closer “Rip And Tear”. The best way to see LA Guns is when they perform a headlining set so do not miss them if they come near you.

Enuff Z’nuff

Opening the show was Enuff Z’nuff who is led by bassist Chip Z’nuff. This marked the first time I saw the band with Chip on vocals and I must say I was pleasantly surprised on how authentic the band sounded. He is still celebrating McCartney’s 80th birthday as they pulled out the solo song “Jet” which sounded fantastic. Other highlights included the classic “Baby Loves You” and of course the one-two punch of “Fly High Michelle” and “New Thing” which left the crowd begging for more. This marked the band’s lone appearance on the tour as they were summoned to fill in for Faster Pussycat who were unable to play this show.
