Parents

Can I fill out an application online? You can access the online application by clicking the “Apply Online” link at the top of every page.

Can I be my own guarantor? A resident can act as their own guarantor if they can show documentation as outlined in the lease agreement that they have income greater than three times the rental installment.

What paperwork is required with a guarantor? The guarantor will need to sign the guaranty agreement. If the resident is not of legal age to execute a contract, the guarantor will be required to sign both the lease and guaranty agreement.

When is a guarantor required? All residents require a guarantor to complete the guaranty agreement.

What does a Province lease look like? The Province lease consists of a first page that is unique to your specific move in and move out, then there are pages 2-9 that make up the lease body.  In addition to these documents, you will also find Exhibit A and the Guaranty Form.  Those pages can be found here for review!

What is an individual lease? An individual lease provides each resident with their own separate lease agreement and responsibility for his/her rental installments and applicable utility and parking charges. By signing an individual lease, you are only taking responsibility for your rental installments and lease terms and will not be held liable for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommate(s).

Can I setup recurring payments? Yes! Save time in the future and never miss a rental installment by setting up recurring payments. You just need a few minutes and your checking account or card info to setup payments. Click here to login to the Resident Portal and get started.

Do you send me a bill every month? No, bills are not sent to residents each month, but you may see payment reminders posted around the property.

How can I make a payment? We accept credit cards, debit cards and ACH payments online through our Resident Portal . We are unable to accept cash.

What is an installment? The typical lease term is approximately 11.5 months of occupancy which coincides with the university's academic calendar. The resident is charged a total rent amount for the contracted occupancy period. The lease agreement will reflect the total rent amount typically divided into 12 equal installments due August 1 - July 1. These installments do not represent a monthly rent amount and are not prorated.

When are the installments due? Installments are due on the 1st of every month per the payment schedule outlined in the lease agreement.

Are there insurance requirements for signing a lease at the community? Yes! The community requires all residents to obtain minimum coverage of $100,000 in Legal Liability to Landlord (LLL) insurance. There are multiple options to satisfy this lease requirement: Option 1 : Residents can purchase the policy of their choosing so long as it satisfies the minimum insurance requirements above as further described in the Required Insurance Addendum made a part of the lease. Residents must submit proof of acceptable insurance to American Campus Communities via LeaseTrack at leasetrack.ai/acc or [email protected] . Option 2 : If you do not provide proof of insurance with the requisite coverage, American Campus Communities may satisfy the insurance requirement for you by placing coverage for your unit under a LLL policy as described in the Required Insurance Addendum found in your lease. You will be charged a monthly for premium, taxes and an administrative fee for, among other things, the expense of processing monthly payments and administering the program.

Am I allowed to request a specific unit? You can list your preferences on your housing application, and we will do our best to place you in the unit that fits those requests. All requests are served on a first-come, first-served basis and are taken in order based on the date your lease was received.

Can I request specific roommates? Yes! You can search for and match with specific roommates in the RoomSync app. Change your mind? No problem! You can modify your matches if your preferences change up until the matching period close date.

Do you have a roommate matching service? Yes! Our roommate matching program is powered by RoomSync–a roommate matching app. You will have the opportunity to create a personal profile, search, filter, chat and match with other residents who will be living in the community. You decide what matters most when narrowing down your search. Want a roommate with the same major? You got it! Prefer to live with someone who goes to bed early? No problem! Looking for a roommate who enjoys college football? No sweat! You control your search and matching criteria to find the perfect roommate.

Local news | cu boulder buys former movie theater in louisville for $10 million, regal cinebarre boulder planned to be housing, other uses.

The 8.85-acre property was a Regal Cinebarre movie theater at 1164 W. Dillon Road on the north side of U.S. 36. CU Boulder closed on the property on May 16. The theater closed its doors on May 23, and CU Boulder anticipates taking over the property on June 15.

“One intended use for the site is housing that is attainable to faculty, staff and possibly graduate students — and their families,” CU Boulder spokesperson Nicole Mueksch said in an email. “This area has significant redevelopment potential, and we believe this site is an ideal candidate for mixed-use, transit-oriented development that includes housing.”

The property could help to meet faculty and staff demand for rental housing, according to the project’s program plan, which was revealed in CU Boulder’s 2019 housing survey. The property is 7 miles from campus and immediately adjacent to the McCaslin RTD Park-n-Ride station, providing transportation options to and from CU Boulder’s main campus in Boulder.

CU Boulder is working with Louisville city government officials as the university develops a plan for the site.

“The city has been happy to support CU Boulder throughout the process of exploring options for redevelopment of this property,” Louisville communications manager Grace Johnson said in an email. “The city recently adopted its first Housing Plan . This project has the opportunity to provide more affordable and workforce housing in Louisville, consistent with the goals of the Housing Plan.”

CU Boulder will hold a public session on July 25 for Louisville community members to identify redevelopment possibilities for the site.

“We will work with the city and broader community to create a plan for the site that incorporates input and feedback, tentatively expected to be completed by December 2025,” Mueksch said. “Design and construction would begin within a few months following an approved plan.”

Johnson said the city has not received many inquiries about CU Boulder’s project, and encourages residents to attend CU Boulder’s public session.

“This will be an opportunity for the public to provide input on the future of the property, including voicing their concerns, sharing ideas and asking questions of the CU Boulder team,” Johnson said.

The public session will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 25 at the Louisville Recreation and Senior Center, 900 Via Appia Way. Event registration is at cuboulder.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_esQJ87lC4islSvQ .

Louisville cop who arrested scottie scheffler: 'yes, the department has us buying freaking $80 pants', share this article.

After all charges were dropped against Scottie Scheffler with prejudice on Wednesday, Louisville Metro Police Detective Bryan Gillis issued a statement of his own and it was a doozy.

Scheffler was accused of assaulting Gillis during the PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. Earlier this week, the Louisville Police disciplined Gillis after determining the detective had violated a policy over body-camera footage.

Gillis charged that Scheffler disobeyed his orders and then dragged him to the ground with his car causing injuries to the officer and his clothing.

According to an arrest citation, Scheffler ignored directions from Gillis in front of Valhalla Golf Club hours before his second-round tee time at the 106 th PGA Championship.

Despite the lack of evidence to support his claims in his report on the incident, Gillis did not back down on his recollection of how things went down.

“To be clear, I was drug by the car, I went to the ground, and I received visible injuries to my knees and wrists,” he wrote in his statement. “I’m going to recover from it, and it will be OK. This is the extent of my commentary on the incident.”

Gillis’s statement expressed his concern for Jon Mills, a 69-year-old security officer who was struck and killed on Shelbyville Road by a shuttle bus earlier that morning, which was the cause of the traffic backup and delayed the start of play on May 17.

Gillis concluded by wishing Scheffler and his family “all the best.” But he wasn’t done yet. He included a postscript: “Yes, the department has us buying freaking $80 pants. To those concerned, they were indeed ruined. But Scottie, it’s all good. I never would’ve guessed I’d have the most famous pair of pants in the country for a few weeks because of this. Take care and be safe.”

It was the perfect conclusion to a bizarre incident that will be one of the great footnotes in recent major championship history.

Scheffler was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from an officer directing traffic. He was released on personal recognizance and returned to Valhalla, where he later called the incident a “big misunderstanding.”

Meanwhile, Scheffler issued the following statement on his Instagram story:

“As I stated previously, this was an unfortunate misunderstanding. I hold no ill will toward Officer Gillis. I wish to put this incident behind me and move on, and I hope he will do the same. Police officers have a difficult job and I hold them in high regard. This was a severe miscommunication in a chaotic situation.

“I appreciate the support during the past two weeks and want to again encourage everyone to remember the real tragedy of May 17. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with John Mills and his family, and I hope to personally offer my condolences now that the case is over. May John rest in peace.”
