Day 01: haridwar to uttarkashi.

Your Gangotri Yatra will start as you head to Uttarkashi from Haridwar. During the scenic journey, you will appreciate nature's magnificence. Once you have arrived in Uttarkashi, you will immerse yourself in the tranquility of the town. You will be transferred to your pre-reserved hotel where you will relax and rejuvenate for some time. After a short nap, you’ll get ready to explore Uttarkashi's divine surroundings. You will first visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most sacred sites built in honor of Lord Shiva. Inside, you can see 8-foot 9-inch Trishul and 56 cm high Shivlinga that stand as testaments to Shiva’s divine power. The temple is guarded by Nandi Baba and Shiva manifests here in the Swayambhu Shivling form, drawing devotees and pilgrims from worldwide to seek solace and blessings.

You will then visit the Shakti Temple to learn about the various miracles that are attributed to Mata Shakti. In the evening you’ll return to your hotel and have a lip-smacking dinner. Post dinner you’ll have a restful sleep in your room.

Day 02: Uttarkashi-Gangotri-Uttarkashi

Today you will complete the check-out formalities at your hotel and then embark on a journey to Gangotri. En route, you will stop by Gangnani and have a holy dip in Tapt Kund’s sacred water. The natural hot spring’s soothing embrace will rejuvenate your spirit and body. After that, you will continue the journey and pass through the Harsil Valley which is dotted with Deodar trees and adorned with towering mountains.

After arriving at the Gangotri Temple which is situated amidst the Himalayan peaks you will offer your prayers to Goddess Ganga. Here, at the holy Ganges origin point, the Bhagirathi River flows, inviting devotees to take a dip in its purifying waters. Amar Singh Thapa constructed the temple and it exudes an aura of reverence. After the divine Darshan, you will head back to Uttarkashi carrying the divine’s blessings. As the day comes to an end, you’ll head back to your hotel and have an overnight stay.

Day 03: Uttarkashi-Haridwar

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your Uttarkashi hotel you’ll head to Haridwar covering a journey of approximately 210 kilometers. On the way, you will stop by the town of Rishikesh, situated in the Himalayan foothills. Rishikesh is known to be the Yoga capital of the world and captivates visitors with its thrilling activities and serene ambiance. Here, amidst the confluence point of the sacred Ganga and Chandrabhaga rivers, one can enjoy many adventurous activities like white water rafting, bungee jumping, and mountain biking. Rishikesh is dotted with many ancient temples like the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, where mythology and legends come to life. You can also visit Triveni Ghat, where three holy rivers merge offering a sacred space for devotion and introspection.

After the exploration of Rishikesh, you will head to Haridwar. In the evening you will attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri which is a mesmerizing spectacle of devotion, light, and sound captivating everyone with its divine essence. After the Ganga Aarti, we will drop you at your preferred location in Haridwar, saying goodbye to the mystical lands of Uttarakhand.

Precaution for Yatra

• Cover your head with Monkey cap or any other woolen clothes while on high altitude to avoid hill-sickness, giddiness etc. at KedarnathandYamunotri.
• Keep on drinking water to avoid dehydration.
• Trek only on hill-side, avoid trekking or standing on valley side, as pony (horse) coming from opposite direction may push you down to the valley which may cause serious casualty.
• Packaged Water is available at every place, use only packaged water or boiled water can be obtained from local tea shop during trekking.

Term and Conditions

• There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens.
• We reserve the right to postpone the timings of flying subjected to weather, operational or technical issue.
• Weighing at the time of boarding the helicopter is a must, since the company shall not allow boarding in case the total weight exceeds the weight limitation of the helicopter. And, due to the same reason, in case of more than 01 available aircraft, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between different groups to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.
• While changing the helicopter at Kedarnath or Guptkashi/Phata/sitapur the waiting time is between 10 mins to 3 hrs. depending on Shuttle slots / weather conditions or technical reasons or ground situations.
• Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 10% of the cost. This will be permitted only if applied 7 days before journey date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 7 days to the journey then booking will be treated as cancelled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability.
• If due to any reasons beyond our control like bad weather conditions, flood, Pandemic, riots, political unrest, bandhs, or any other natural or man-made misfortunes, program will have needed to be changed or extended. The additional expenditure for the same will have to be borne by the passengers directly.
• In case of charter getting cancelled due to bad weather or any other reasons on the date of your travel, the booking will not be revalidated for the next day. Refund as per the refunds/cancellations policy, with no further obligation of Company whatsoever. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation, reimbursement or arrangements shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.
• Our company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party. Therefore, in your own interest, guests are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done, before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a guest has any medical suffering/condition.
• In case the journey is not finished within the stipulated time and passengers are not able to visit one or more Dhams due to bad weather conditions/technical reasons then the company will try to visit all places within the stipulated time. Although if this is not possible then the liability of the company will be limited to refund of unutilised sector/s.
• 100% refund shall be applicable in case the entire tour gets cancelled due to any Force Majeure reason, minus flight preparation charges of INR 2,500 Per Person Per Sector and any additional services provided to guests.
• Where bad weather, technical snags or any force majeure reason beyond company control results in the cancellation of the flight being delayed or cancelled, Company will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refund will be given to clients as per the refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals or any other travel expenses done by the guests shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.

Ans. The road in is good condition from Delhi until Haridwar. After Haridwar, the road becomes a single-lane highway till Rishikesh. The overall condition of the road is quite good for Gangotri's journey; but in some places, it may get crowded and narrow. After Rishikesh, you will start driving uphill and you will find the road in good condition till Chamba. The road starts deteriorating after Chamba and gets even extremely bad at a few places. You need to be very cautious during the monsoon season as some roads may be completely damaged and blocked.

Q4. How is the mobile network in Gangotri?

Ans. The mobile network coverage is erratic and limited in Gangotri due to the mountainous and remote terrain. Some areas may have good mobile network coverage, especially popular tourist spots and around the town center, other parts of the town may experience poor network connectivity. You can expect intermittent signal strength at most of the places so be prepared for network blackouts during inclement weather conditions in secluded areas. Despite these challenges, there are a few service providers like BSNL that provide limited coverage, allowing you to carry on basic communication.

Duration: 6Days/5 Nights

Day 1 : Haridwar - Guptkashi (9 Hours)

Leaving Haridwar in the morning, we drive to Guptkashi via Rudraprayag and Devprayag. As you travel to Rudraprayag, you will see the beautiful Ganga River and the Alaknanda River. In Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar (Vishwanath) Temple, which comes from Kedarnath and runs alongside the Mandakini river. Upon arrival in Guptakashi, check into the hotel. Guptakashi is where you will spend the night. 

Day2 : Guptkashi - Kedarnath (Trek: 14 km)

After breakfast, depart for Kedarnath Dham. Kedarnath Darshan can be enjoyed and then returned to your hotel.

By Helicopter: We will transfer you by helicopter to the pre-booked Helipad in the morning. After returning to the hotel, our car will drop you off at the hotel so that you can rest. This package does not include a helicopter ticket. 

By Trek: Our driver will drop you off at Sonprayag in the morning, then you will have to take a local jeep to Gaurikund, and then you will start your trek to Kedarnath Ji. After darshan, you follow the same route and return to Sonprayag. If the driver's contact number is not working, you will have to arrange another taxi or wait for the driver since there is a parking issue.

Day3 : Kedarnath to Guptkashi (14 km)

In the morning, after Pooja & breakfast, you can check out of the Kedarnath hotel and begin your journey back to Sonprayag. There will be a designated meeting place where our driver will be waiting for you. Stay the night at the Guptkashi hotel.

Day4 : Guptkashi - Badrinath (7 Hours)

In the morning, drive to Badrinath after breakfast. Arrive in Badrinath and check into the hotel. In the evening, pilgrims have the Darshan and Aarti of Badrivishal after taking a bath in the Taptkund. Brahamakapal is significant for the Pinddan Shraddh (Pitrus) of the ancestors. Other exciting sightseeing spots include Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and Saraswati's "Mukh". Badrinathjee is just three kilometres away. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day5 : Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag (7 Hours)

Our driver picks us up after breakfast for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Drive back via Joshimath to Rudraprayag via Narsingh Temple on the way. As soon as you arrive in Rudraprayag, check into your hotel. Rudraprayag is where you will spend the night.

Day6 : Rudraprayag - Haridwar (6 Hours)

Drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh in the morning, after breakfast. It lies on the bank of the Ganga and is surrounded on three sides by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas. The area became known as Rishikesh as God appeared as "Hrishikesh" to Raibhya Rishi when he did hard penances. Arrive at the hotel and check-in. Then visit the Laxman Jhulla and Ram Jhulla temples in Rishikesh. Haridwar is the final destination.

Day 1 : Haridwar – Barkot (210 kms / 6 – 7 hrs )

After hearty breakfast at hotel, check-out from the Haridwar between 7:00 – 8:00 AM and proceed to Barkot via Mussoorie. En-route experience the exquisiteness of Kempty falls and beautiful hills. On arrival check-in to the hotel in Barkot for Overnight stay with Dinner.

Haridwar: Haridwar means “Hari Ka Dwar” or the “gateway to the almighty Lord”. Belongs to the Jagatpalak “Vishnu”, this place is highly auspicious where you feel the real divine power and spirituality. Located on the banks of River Ganges, this is the one of holiest destination for organizing the Kumbh. Also, it’s the place having the most auspicious Har Ki Pauri which belongs to the Saint god Bharathi, and the King Vikarma (belongs to Vikram Vetal). Therefore, it’s the place you must visit for at least once.

Barkot Weather: The sweat summer has the temperature range between 25 to 30 degree Celsius. During the winter, the temperature may go down to 5 to 10 degree Celsius though, but you may feel pleasantly cool during the day time.

Day 2 : Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot ( 42 kms drive / 6 kms trek)

Yamunotri Temple: This most auspicious temple belongs to the Goddess Yamuna. As per belief, she is the daughter of God Son and the sister of Yam and Lord Shani. Therefore, doing the worship here gives you a lot more than the feelings of real spirituality and Divine power. Here, you get the blessing of courage and confidence. Also, the fear of facing difficulties and getting death moves away from you. In addition to, the “Lord of Justice” Shani forgives your bad Karmas or gives you very lesser punishment during the Sadhe-Sati and Dhaiya Period.

Surya Kund: This hot water spring belongs to the Sun God. It’s one of the naturally very hot water Kund, therefore, if you are visiting here for the very first time, you may get it a bit difficult to have a dip here, but things get normal automatically later on. Taking the holy dip here washes out all your sins, and generates the divine nature in you. Also, devotees Potatoes and Rice here with the temperature of this Water. They offer that to the temple.

Divya Shila: This holy stone pillar is near the Yamunotri temple and the Surya Kund. This 3000 m tall stone pillar is so much auspicious that before entering the Yamunotri temple, devotees must worship the holy pillar.

Yamunotri Weather: During summer, the temperature ranges between 10 to 18 degrees Celsius, and the day times are very pleasant, however, but you may feel the nail-biting cold at night.

Day 3 : Barkot – Uttarkashi ( 100 kms / 5 – 6 hrs)

Depart from Barkot hotel between 9 AM to 10 AM and proceed the drive towards Uttarkashi. The route will make you fall in love for hills and the surroundings of green mountains. On arrival at Uttarkashi, check-in at the hotel and fresh n up. Evening visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple & Uttarkashi market according to time. Return back to hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay.

Uttarkashi: “Uttarkashi” the dev Bhoomi which literally means “Kashi of the north” is one of the holy places in Hinduism. In addition, to have natural and devotional beauty, here you have lots of fun adventurous activities to enjoy. Dodital lake, Nicheketa Lake, Dodital Dayara Pass Trek, Dayara Bugyal trek are some of the famous attractions to visit here. Therefore, you must visit this place at least once.

Vishwanath temple: This holy temple is in the name of Lord Shiva, and full of amazing wonders. For example, there’s a Trishul which is 8 foot 9-inch-long and has 26 feet height. Also, inside the temple, there is a Shivlinga which is 56 cm high and having an elevation towards the south. As per belief, the tour to Gangotri is incomplete without visiting this temple, and therefore, this temple is highly important. Out of the temple, there is Nandi Baba guarding the temple premises. As per belief, in this right now, it’s the only place where Lord Shiva is present in his Swyambhu Shivlinga form.

Shakti Temple: The Shakti temple of Uttarkashi is one of the famous and holy temples in Hinduism. This temple directly belongs to Mata Shakti. Uttarkashi Weather: Very hot summer season having the temperature between 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, but at night, you may feel the pleasantly cool weather.

Day 4 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi ( 100 kms / 3 – 4 hrs each side)

Early morning leave the hotel for Gangotri Ji darshan. Drive to Gangotri sharp at 5 AM, en-route visit Gangnanione. One can take a holy dip in Tapt Kund (Hot Spring). Further drive towards Gangotri via charming Harsil Valley. Harsil famed for its natural prettiness and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. By reaching at Shree Gangotri Ji, take the holy dip in sacred river Ganges, which called in the name of Bhagirathi on its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan at the temple, then relax for some time in the pretty environs. Later drive back to Uttarkashi hotel for Overnight stay.

Gangotri Temple: This holy temple belongs to the goddess Ganga. She is the Goddess of Moksha. Therefore, if she gets happy with you, you get yourself free from all your sins. Day 5 : Uttarkashi – Haridwar ( 210 kms / 7 – 8 hrs )

Nelong valley is about 25 km from Bhaironghati and 34 km from Gangotri National Park. This unexplored valley is situated at an altitude of around 11,000 feet and has a mountain desert landscape. After the 1962 Indo-China war this valley was reopened for tourists in 2015 which offers a panoramic view of the Tibetan plateau and still has structures which are related to the old trade route. Gartang Galion, a wooden bridge and the Lal Devta temple are such points in the area which fall on the route for Tibet. Nelong valley has ample of exotic wildlife such as Himalayan blue sheep and snow leopards. Gangotri is the highest temple of Goddess Ganga situated at an altitude of 3,048mts. Its about 90 Km ahead of Uttarkashi and offers scenic splendors of rugged terrains, gushing water of Bhagirathi River and snow clad peaks. Apart from the main shrine the 18km uphill trek from Gangotri takes you to Gaumukh which is the origin of River Ganges. Bhaghirath Shila and Pandava Gufa are religious spots located very close to the Gangotri Dham. The Gangotri National Park is offers a fascinating glimpse into a high-altitude ecosystem, comprising coniferous forests, meadows and glaciers. Besides mammals like bharal, brown bear and snow leopards, it’s also home to 150 species of birds. The temple remains opened from May and get closed on the day of Diwali festival. Haridwar also known as Hari-Ka-Dwar is a spiritual town on the bank of holy river Ganges and is famous for its Ghats and Ganga Aarti at 'Har Ki Pauri'. Also reffered as Gateway to God, this town has many spritual places like Pawan Dham, Daksh Temple, Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi temple; both can be reached by a ropeway

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Dehradun-Mussoorie

The journey begins as we arrive at Jollygrant Airport, on arrival we meet the host and start the road journey to Mussoorie which is 60 Kms from the Airport and takes about 2 hours. We drive via Dehradun which is the capital city of the state of Uttarakhand. The drive from Dehradun to Mussoorie is an uphill drive of about 30 Kms. On arrival at the hotel you get over with the check-in formalities and relax in the alloted room. Evening is free to go out for a walk on the Mall road of Mussoorie from where one gets a very good view of Dehradun Valley. Stay overnight at Mussoorie.

Day 2 : Mussoorie Local

Explore Mussoorie today, visit Chardukan, Landour, Sister Bazar, George Everest during the first half of the day. Post lunch go out to visit Kempty Falls, Company’s Garden and spend rest of the evening at the Mall Road. Stay overnight at Mussoorie.

Day 3 : Mussoorie-Chamba – Uttarkashi – Harsil

Drive further uphill to Harsil today which is about 200 Kms and goes past Chamba, Tehri Lake and Uttarkashi and cross over Sukhitop. Enroute visit Sri Kashi Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest and most sacred of temples in Uttarkashi, situated on bank of river Bhagirathi and Gangnani which is known for hot sulpher water springs.On arrival at Harsil you check-in at the hotel and walk around harsil in the evening. Stay overnight in Harsil

Day 4 : Harsil – Gangotri – Harsil

Go for a day visit to Gangotri Dham which is about 25 Kms from Harsil. Enroute you cross towns of Bhairav Ghati which is also the getaway to Nelong Valley. On arrival at Gangotri Dham you visit the temple and later head back to Bhairavghati to ride the jeeps for 25 Kms safari to Nelong valley. Later return back to Harsil and explore the local trails in the evening. Stay overnight in Harsil.

Day 5 : Harsil -Haridwar

Early morning drive to Haridwar which is about 250 Kms from Harsil. Haridwar also known as Hari Ka Dwar is one of the most holy city in India. On arrival check-in at the hotel and lLater visit by walk at Bara Bazar and attend Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in the evening. Stay overnight at Haridwar.

Day 6 : Depart Haridwar

Go out to visit Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi temple in the morning or visit Pawan Dham Temple, Jain Temple, Shantikunj Ashram and Daksha Mahadev Temple or one can go for Jungle Safari at Rajaji National Park which starts at 6AM. Later check-out and drive to Airport.
