Riviera Travel reveals ‘trade-friendly’ website updates

Riviera Travel has relaunched its website, with enhanced functionality for both travel agents and guests.

The operator’s online platform now allows all holiday information to be accessed on itinerary pages via a single link, with pop-ups showcasing information on hotels, ships and daily activities.

In addition, the booking process has been simplified, with pricing and availability displayed earlier in the journey.

A more streamlined and intuitive design is also in place to allow for quicker and easier navigation.

The site offers information on Riviera’s full holiday programme, including river, ocean and tall-ship cruising , escorted touring and dedicated solo traveller trips.

Riviera Travel sees growth in digital

Riviera Travel channel director Stuart Milan added: “The past three years have seen a huge uplift in the number of agents interacting with our digital platforms.

“We’re very excited to release this enhanced version of our website, with the online experience now made as easy as possible for all visitors. The site perfectly mirrors the outstanding service available to agents throughout the rest of our business.”

In recent months, Riviera Travel has boosted its trade support.

It launched a new travel agent engagement committee to “help influence future trade support” and also introduced its first trade-dedicated contact centre team .

What is a definite departure?

A departure is shown as 'Definite Departure' once it has reached a minimum number of guests. That particular departure will definitely run, barring any extraordinary circumstances. We update these regularly, and you can book any departure. While it is highly unlikely a departure doesn't meet the minimum number of guests, you will be offered the best alternative dates or a full refund of any payment made if this is the case. If there are ever any changes to your departure, we will contact you.

How can I book flights for my tour? What about extra hotel nights?

You can add flights and extra hotel nights directly through Trafalgar, so that everything is taken care of, leaving you to relax and enjoy your tour. If you're booking online, once you've selected your travel dates and room type, you'll be offered an option to add extra hotel nights and flights. Alternatively, you can call us to book and one of our travel experts can advise on your options.

How much is the deposit for a Trafalgar tour?

On most of our departures, you can secure your trip today with a low deposit from just $200.

How do i make a booking.

You can make a booking on our website – simply select the cruise you wish to book and click 'Book Now'. We will send you confirmation once this has been done. Alternatively, simply telephone our Reservations Team on 888-838-8820  - view our opening hours on our contact page . Our river cruises don't include flights, but please call and speak to a member of our team who can help with arranging travel.

Is my money protected?

We are fully bonded with the CLIA, ASTA and IATA so you can rest assured that your money is safe in any eventuality.

What’s included on my vacation?

Our fully comprehensive itineraries include all of the ‘must see’ sights and experiences your selected destination offers. Many operators sell these as ‘options’ – but on a Riviera river cruise you will miss nothing of importance. We do not sell you lots of additional excursions that just add to your overall costs. For specific details of what's included, please see the relevant tour page.

Happy in every sense or your money back - details

To qualify you must raise your concerns with the Riviera River Cruises cruise director and state your intention to take advantage of this guarantee within the first 24 hours of your cruise, and they will endeavour to resolve any issues. If by the end of Day Two a solution cannot be reached, Riviera River Cruises will arrange and cover the cost for you to return to the embarkation port from the next available location. We will also refund the total cost of your Riviera River Cruises vacation, although no refunds will be made for any additional costs incurred such as overnight hotels, airport travel, insurance etc.

The guarantee does not affect standard booking conditions or pre-departure cancelation policy and is superseded by our European River Cruise Assurance where relevant. Valid on cruises of 8 days or more. Further terms and conditions may apply.
