Way to expensive , they just replaced a cylinder of a front door business and charged me almost 400 dollars , just to change a cylinder that I paid 39.99 for 2 years ago , really the bill was actually 395.00 wow this is crazy , a friend of mines that has a business just 3 doors from me had the same problem and had his changed for 175.00 , I will never use this company again , this was an insane experience

We've bought bikes from this place in the past, but never again. We were comparison shopping with another similar bike shop in West Hartford and found Newington Bike to be much pricier. But the real surprise was in their rudeness and perfunctory treatment. They use to have a decent reputation, but I was very disappointed by their negative attitude and poor treatment of customers like us who had been loyal. Maybe it was just the person I had to deal with, but each should be an ambassador of the business and work toward helping customers find the right bike at the right price. Maybe they did, but by sending us elsewhere.

Nice shop and helpful staff. Much better than other shops i have been to. They have a good selection of bikes and gear.

Put in an early morning request for a tune up. They were able to get my bike turned around in no time. Quick, friendly, high quality service. Much appreciated!

We went in looking for a bike for my 7 year old daughter. She ride as her bike everyday and needed to upgrade from the Toys-R-Us kids bike. The staff greeted us as we walk in. Talked to my daughter, measured her and let her test ride a couple of bikes in the back till she found the best one for her. This was the best experience we have ever had buying a bike. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and they have a great selection.

I have not been there since Sam retired. But I bought four bikes from him over the years because Newington Bike is the BEST bike shop I have ever been in. It's large enough, and sophisticated enough to provide all your bicycling needs. Knowledgeable staff, and a large stock allow you to really explore your options.

Super courteous, attentive, and friendly staff. Desperately needed a repair on a bike before vacation and was preparing to drop it off and come back 2-3 days later as it was a busy Friday. Younger guy asked if I could wait 20 minutes. He dropped what he was doing and took care of it right then and there. This repair job will turn in to much repeat business as my family grows. I just wish I caught his name so I could give him the props he deserves. Good spot !

I took my bike in for a repair. The service was decent and they told me that the bike would be ready at a certain time, and charged me a certain price. After the deadline came and went, I called them and they told me that my bike was ready. When I picked it up, they charged me for labor (even though they hadn't told me that there would be any additional charge when I paid them the first time around) and when I got the bike home, I noticed that one of the tires was low. Overall it was a fine experience, but I felt like they didn't care about me at all, especially since they didn't even bother to contact me to let me know that my bike was ready to pick up. Also, what kind of bike repair shop doesn't even fill up both tires before returning a bike? In my experience, that's a basic courtesy. I'll definitely be taking my business to one of the many other quality bike shops in the greater Hartford area.

I was very impressed by the man and lady who helped get me sorted with a new bike. Very helpful i will shop here again.

great selection of bikes. The sales people are friendly and helpful. The customer service is above and beyond, the even did a quick tune up on my bike ( bought else where 6 months prior) for free! My brother and parents and now husband all bought bikes there. My big regret is I didn't get my last bike there too. The back parking lot is perfect for test riding.
