Linton’s Enchanted Garden/Teaberry Wood Products/Meadow Brook Farm Elkhart, Indiana is home to the Linton’s Enchanting Gardens where we enjoy a stroll thru their Holiday Village where the scent of fresh pine and mulled cider fill the air. Enjoy over 100 themed trees along with shopping for gifts for everyone on your Christmas list. The Miller Family welcomes us this afternoon at Teaberry Wood Products where we watch their handcrafted products come to life. After checking in at the Blue Gate Inn we are off to an evening at Meadow Brook Farm. Enjoy a tour of the vintage 1860 home, that was constructed during the Civil War, dinner in "the barn", and hear the story of the Jesus Donkey. Overnight (2) Shipshewana, IN

Amish Countryside Tour/ "When Calls the Heart" Musical We continue enjoying the warmth and hospitality of the Amish as a local guide takes us on a tour where we learn about the Christmas customs and traditions of the Amish, along with making some stops along the way at local Amish businesses. Our day ends back at the Blue Gate where we enjoy a delicious buffet dinner before taking our seats in the Blue Gate Theater for the production of "When Calls the Heart". Based on Janet Oak’s Book of the same name, the show is a theatrical celebration of truth, adventure, sacrifice, faith and above all-love. Elizabeth Thatcher if from a very wealthy family in Canada, at the beginning of a promising teaching career, but deep down inside, she is feeling a bit, "restless". When her older brother writes to ask if she might consider taking a teaching job in the great Canadian west, she decides this is the adventure she has been waiting for. Mishaps, challenges, and new experiences ensue as the captivating story and enchanting music take you on a journey you will never forget!

Studebaker Museum/ Farewell Dinner It’s time to depart the Amish Country. We stop by nearby South Bend for a visit to the Studebaker National Museum. Home to a priceless collection of vehicles, artwork, archival material and artifacts spanning nearly 200 years, the Studebaker national Museum displays the first and last vehicles the corporation ever made and boasts the largest Presidential Carriage Collection in the world. This evening finds us in the Quad Cities where we enjoy one last evening together.

Mystery Stop/Travel home Before you depart this morning, we have one Mystery Stop in the Quad Cities. We continue home ready to celebrate the upcoming holidays!

Reserving your place on an Allied tour is as simple as 1-2-3  

1. Choose a tour from the catalog or online at www.AlliedTT.com.  

2. Call Allied Tour to check availability and give passenger details. Call 402-371-3840 or Toll Free 1-800-672-1009, or book online at AlliedTT.com.  

3. Send your deposit. The deposit is required within seven days of making your reservation. Please see additional information for deposit amounts. You will receive a confirmation of your deposit once your payment is received.

All cancellation fees are based on ‘per person.’ Policies below show ’Days Prior to Departure’ and ’Amount of Cancel Fee.’

Protecting Your Travel

Your trip investment is worth protecting to safeguard against unexpected events that can prevent you from traveling and being assessed significant cancellation fees. If you are interested in an optional protection plan, please contact Allied or your local travel advisor.  

FINAL DOCUMENTS  

Travel documents will be sent approximately two weeks before departure, provided full payment has been received. The documents will include a detailed itinerary, departure times and locations, hotel lists, medical forms, luggage tags, and other helpful information. 

CHANGES IN TOUR PRICE   

Tour prices in this publication are effective as of October 1, 2023, and are subject to fluctuation due to the U.S. dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency, fuel price fluctuations, taxes, typographical errors, or other reasons, etc. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tours utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing. Submitting your deposit is an acknowledgment of your agreement to these terms. 

CHANGES IN ITINERARY   

The order of events and hotels scheduled on your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution. 

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE   

Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30” x 21” x 11” and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in. *Baggage handling included at hotels where available 

INSPIRATION & FAITH   

Due to tour schedules, we are unable to make any special provisions for worship services. Many tour directors share a “Thought for the Day,” verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day. 

TRAVELER CONDUCT & SPECIAL NEEDS

Tours are fun, but the enjoyment of the tour is based on everyone being friendly and cooperative. Allied Tour reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger on any tour if Allied Tour determines a passenger would be detrimental to the tour. Once a tour departs, any passenger disruptive to the group may be required to leave the tour. Expenses to return home would be the responsibility of the passenger. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the tour.  

Please notify us of any special needs at the time of reservation. We will make all reasonable efforts to assist with your travel arrangements. However, it is strongly recommended that a traveling companion come along to help with any special needs of anyone with a disability. Allied tour directors have responsibilities for the entire group and can’t provide one-on-one care. This includes boarding motorcoaches, airplanes, cruise ships, etc., traversing hotels, restaurants, attractions, other personal needs, etc. Contact Allied if you have any questions. 

SINGLE TRAVELERS   

Single travelers are guaranteed one seat on the motorcoach and may be seated next to another traveler if the tour is full.

Allied Tours, Inc. (AT) acts only as an agent for suppliers. AT is not responsible for acts or omissions of the suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their schedules & assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity, & can accept no liability for losses or personal injury or property damage, or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the bus or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, terrorism, or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to accept or withdraw any tour if circumstances require it. AT reserves the right to make any changes for the benefit of the tour and/or tour members, including canceling the tour if necessary. All rates are subject to change & are based on current tariffs available & current exchange rates as of October 1, 2023. AT or property owners are not liable for any loss/damage to vehicles parked at departure locations. All baggage is at the owner’s risk. The purchase of baggage & travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical, baggage, etc., is recommended. Gorgeous Castanheiro Boutique Hotel in Central Funchal

My husband & l had planned a relaxing holiday in Funchal but unfortunately he was not well from the day we arrived. The Hotel was very supportive & helpful and could not have done any more for us to make our 10 days as restful as possible

Our Holiday Rep = Isabel Faria = was absolutely fantastic in helping us get medical help three times, to take me to & from hospital to see my husband, act as translator between me & hospital so nothing was "lost in translation", to comfort & support me, to make sense of all the paperwork, making sure we checked in OK at Airport. She worked above & beyond any "9 to 5" hours. We cannot thank Isabel enough for making a nightmare situation so much easier to cope with. We would also like to mention Davina Spencer, Prestige in UK who very patiently rebooked our BA flights home twice due to changing circumstances.

HOLIDAY We had a wonderful and relaxing 10 day holiday in the Algarve. The Holiday Inn in Armacao de Pera met our expectations in its location and service. HOLIDAY We had a wonderful and relaxing 10 day holiday in the Algarve. The Holiday Inn in Armacao de Pera met our expectations in its location and service. Staff were very friendly and professional and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. The room was very clean, with comfortable beds and with great views over the sea. We were on half board and the meals were of a good quality, with plenty of choice. There was also a good selection of cafes and bars within walking distance. The hotel has a Customer Relations Manager who was very friendly and informative, also assisting us with checking in for our return journey to the UK. We enjoyed every moment and are seriously considering returning next year.

TOUR OPERATOR Prestige and Haslemere Travel made sure everything ran smoothly. The transfers to and from the airport were prompt and friendly in comfortable cars. Gemma at Haslemere Travel provided a well organised and friendly service, answering every query however small. All boxes were ticked! Would strongly recommend the tour operator to other people.

Winter sun, warmth, scenery & superb food!

A late-Feb week in Madeira in a small hotel in easy reach of Funchal centre & waterfront and lots of good eateries close by. Hotel very comfortable, spacious room.

After initial problem with first-choice hotel becoming unavailable, second choice turned out to be a better bet than first!

Wonderful holiday in Tenerife

The Casa Ducales at Bahia del Ducque exceeded expectation in its ambience and surroundings. We enjoyed every moment. The hotel and service were truly wonderful and we shall return next year!

Lovely 10 Days in Lanzarote

A lovely relaxing .10 days spent at the Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort. The resort was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and informative. We stayed in the Adults Only area and were really pleased with the accommodation and the Pool. The flight out with TUI was on time and comfortable as was the return journey despite the efforts of Storm Dennis. A lovely place to stay and we are definitely thinking of a return trip later in the year.

The service provided by Prestige Holidays through our travel agent, Saville Travel, was excellent and documentation was provided with ample time to make any alterations if required. We had no need to make any alterations.

Everything you could wish for

We had a wonderful holiday in La Gomera. Prestige Holidays made sure that everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. The parador was fantastic, room, great views over the sea, good pool, lush garden. The island offered all we could wish for: great walks in the mountain with spectacular scenery, good beaches for swimming, lovely villages with little restaurants and bars with good local atmosphere, no big crowds. Perfect!

Prestige holidays gave us very good information before our holiday. The representative welcomed us when we arrived and explained the transfer. During our stay she also kept in touch and was available 24/7. we had a couple of hours wait before our ferry from Teneriffe, and we were taken to a lovely hotel where we could relax by the pool or wander in the town. Every detail was well thought out. We will definitely book again.

Everything ran very smoothly and according to schedule. The guides met us on time at hotels or at our train carriage on arrival. Prestige Holidays rebrands as Prestige Travel under new chief

Prestige Holidays has changed its name to Prestige Travel, adopted a fresh logo and further increased its commitment to the trade under a new managing director.

The operator is also overhauling its website and travel agency portal as part of a wholesale review of the business under new owners Embrace Travel Group.

Lee Hamilton was promoted to managing director on March 1 this year after seven years as general sales manager at the tour operator. Previous managing director and chairman John Dixon retired after the operator was acquired last July .

The new name and look follows research by branding agency Fathom, which identified Prestige Travel as a “better fit” as it looks to expand the tailormade and bespoke travel side of its business.

The operator has dropped its burgundy red logo for new look featuring a modern font with a shell on a white, green or ocean coloured background to make it easily recognisable across social media and promotional materials.

Hamilton said: “It’s the perfect time to make changes, with new owners and more than 30 years selling holidays. We felt it was important to review both the look of Prestige and what it stood for.

“The name encompasses more of what we do in terms of the specialist and tailormade itineraries. It was important we created a modern and memorable visual identity to support our new brand story.”

The operator also aims to attract more agent partners. Agents already account for around 96% of sales.

Hamilton said: “We are looking to engage with those agents that are not yet familiar with the Prestige brand through the support of our business development team, enhancing the booking experience and offering our usual competitive commission rates.”

As part of this, the operator’s website is undergoing a major revamp to make it quicker and easier to use. It will feature an improved agent hub for booking, invoicing and amending holidays. The current holding site is  prestigetravel.co.uk

Hamilton said call wait times had reduced and were now more reasonable than earlier this year but stressed the new site would enable agents to amend or cancel bookings themselves.

“We love talking to our agents, but we also appreciate the desire to ‘self-service’ bookings sometimes, so this will now be an option for them,” he said, adding: “Everything we do is to enhance the experience for partners. Agents could book online before but it was quite restrictive; multi-centres were more difficult to book.”

As part of the operator’s enhanced commitment to the trade, it will produce new agent incentives and add more competitions and trade-specific deals to its social channels. It already has a closed user group on Facebook for the trade.

The operator’s on-the-road team has been boosted with the appointment of two new business development managers to visit agents. Charlotte Sargeson, who has joined from Flexible Autos, will be responsible for the north of England, while Denise Bridgeman, ex-Air Canada, will look after the southern region. A third is due to be appointed in the coming week.

Hamilton said agents had continued to support the brand during the pandemic, adding: “We want our business to grow and prosper and we’re confident the investments we have made, together with the ongoing support of our trade partners, will provide us with the solid foundations to succeed in the new travel arena.”

The operator also announced plans to put more emphasis on tailormade breaks to destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Italy, the Canaries and Croatia to offer a different product to operators selling just traditional packages.

“You have to start carving out more of a niche and that’s what we are looking to do. We will still sell great value point to point holidays but we will able to access small, boutique or luxury properties and expand on our multi-centre offerings,” he added.

The operator also plans to expand its product range, with additions to include new long-haul destinations.

The Tretyakov Gallery

We would say now as summer nears its end. What truly amazed us was how the days were longer with sunsets happening at 9.30pm and first light visible around 2.30am.
