It’s nearly time to get your cowboy hat and head to Croke Park to see Garth Brooks.

It’s been 25 years since the country singer last took to the GAA stadium in June 1997 - and we’ll never forget the time Garth shook the nation and broke the hearts of fans back in 2014 when five of his shows were cancelled. But it's clear the Irish can't hold a grudge as we're welcoming him back in just a few weeks.

Some may say Tomorrow Never Comes, but not this time! The Oklahoma man will finally have his chance to perform to die hard Irish fans next month and here’s everything you need to know ahead of the gig:

How to get tickets for Garth Brooks’ Irish shows

Irish fans are in for a treat with Croke Park being the only European venue Garth will play in 2022.

Garth Brooks is back! As you may have heard, the megastar behind hits including ‘Friends In Low Places’, ‘The River’ and ‘Standing Outside The Fire’ is headed to Dublin’s Croke Park on 9 and 10 September for his only European shows of 2022. Tickets go on sale at 8am on Thursday 25 November 2021.

The important thing to know is how to improve your chances of getting those precious tickets when they go on sale. Here are our tips to help avoid disappointment. Notepads at the ready! Check out these top tips to improve your chances of getting Garth tickets when they become available.

Top tips to get tickets

1. Create an account

If you don’t already have a Ticketmaster account, don’t wait for the morning of 25 November to create one. Go to Ticketmaster.ie now and get your account set up with all your correct billing and delivery information.

2. Open your account and log in now

If you already have an account, get the details out of the way before tickets are available by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. We recommend checking passwords, delivery address and billing information now, to reduce any stress when processing your order later. Head to  Ticketmaster.ie  and log in to your account to get started.

3. Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window, on one device, when you’re being pushed through the virtual queue and always resist the urge to refresh. Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is actually doing something and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

4. Check when tickets are available – even once they’re on sale

Eight years after he canceled five sold-out concerts in Dublin, Garth Brooks will return to Ireland next year, performing two shows in Dublin’s Croke Park on Sept. 9-10, Billboard has confirmed.

The news was first reported by Irish Mirror . Brooks will be in Dublin on Monday for a press event about the concerts.

The two concerts will mark a long-awaited return for Irish Brooks fans, after the singer-songwriter canceled five concerts at Croke Park back in 2014, after tensions with Dublin City Council. Those 2014 shows had been set for July 25-29 and were expected to bring in 400,000 people. However, the city council only agreed to allow three Brooks shows — instead of his preferred five concerts — due to noise and traffic complaints from residents. After the two parties could not come to an agreement, all of the shows were canceled.

At the time, Brooks released a statement to fans about the canceled shows, stating, “To say I am crushed is an understatement. All I see is my mother’s face and I hear her voice. She always said things happen for a reason and for the right reason. As hard as I try, I cannot see the light on this one. So it is with a broken heart, I announce the ticket refunds for the event will go as posted by Ticketmaster.” Brooks last played Croke Park in 1997 on his world tour with a resulting NBC special and DVD release.

Tickets for the September 2022 concerts will go on sale at Ticketmaster.ie on Nov. 25 at 8 a.m. local time. A representative for Brooks did not comment on whether more shows might be added.

Meanwhile, Brooks performed the first of three intimate Nashville shows as he brought his music to the Grand Ole Opry House crowd on Thursday and is set to perform Friday (Nov. 19) and Saturday night at the Ryman Auditorium.

Garth Brooks will play five sold-out gigs in Dublin this September.

Croke Park will be the only European venue shows that Garth Brooks will play this year.

It comes after the country music star’s five concerts in 2014 were cancelled following a licensing dispute with local authorities.

Dublin City Council said at the time that it would only grant licences for three of the concerts at the Dublin venue, however, the singer refused to perform unless all five went ahead.

This year, Croke Park was given permission by the council to allow up to five gigs.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the gigs:

When are the concerts taking place?

Initially set as two nights at Croke Park, demand for Garth Brooks only European venue in 2022 saw a third, fourth and fifth show added.

When should I arrive at Croke Park?

Promoters have made it clear that early queuing and over night camping will not be permitted in the streets around the venue. Stewards will be on duty on streets close to the stadium each day to deter overnight queuing/camping in the community area. Ticket holders have also been asked to respect the privacy of the residents and businesses in the local community.

10am: Garda cordon

11pm: Concert finishes

Will there be parking facilities at Croke Park for the public?

There will be no parking facilities at Croke Park or on the streets in the immediate vicinity of stadium. The area will be monitored by Dublin City Council’s Parking Enforcement and illegally parked cars will be clamped or towed away. A traffic management plan will be in operation by An Garda Siochana. Promoters have strongly encouraged concert goers to use public transport.

Where can I park my car?

As traffic and parking delays are inevitable, ticket holders are strongly advised to use public transport or car pool and park in recognised car parks, such as:

Concert goers are advised to check the opening and closing times with their chosen car-park to avoid the risk of being locked in after the show.

Can I take public transport to the venue?

Croke Park is well served by public transport. Bus, Rail, DART and LUAS transport options can all bring concert goers within walking distance of the venue.

Ticket holders are advised that there will be signage to direct you to the appropriate entrance for your seating or standing area and to follow the coloured route/directions as indicated on your ticket details.

Promoters have advised concert goers to plan their journeys via www.transportforireland.ie and for further information on public transport, please visit: www.dublinbus.ie , www.luas.ie , www.irishrail.ie , and www.buseireann.ie .

What happens if I arrive late to the venue?

Concert goers with valid tickets will be allowed entry even if late however promoters have advised that Croke Park will open at 5pm and that ticket holders should allow themselves plenty of time to get in before the start of the show.

Can I print out my ticket?

Promoters have advised concert goers to remember to download your tickets from your Ticketmaster account to your iPhone wallet or Google Pay wallet in advance of show day as screenshots or printouts of digital tickets will not be accepted.

Where is the box office located on show days?

The box office is located at the junction of Gills Corner and North Circular Road and will be open from 2pm until the show starts later in the evening.

Will there be designated parking for wheelchair users?

Those who have purchased tickets for the wheelchair/accessibility area will be contacted in advance of the shows and will be issued with parking permits (subject to availability), these must be printed out and brought to gain access on the show day. Blue badges will not be accepted for access.

The Wheelchair accessible parking area for wheelchair/accessibility ticket holders has limited capacity. There will also be a purpose-built raised accessibility platform on the pitch for wheelchair users at these events.

Is there an age-limit for the shows?

Croke Park age restrictions state that no under-14s will be allowed entry to the standing/pitch area and must have seated tickets. All under-16s must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or older. One adult can accompany up to four children however children under five years old will not be admitted.

Can I leave and re-enter the venue throughout the day?

Promoters have stated that re-entry will not be possible should concert goers choose to leave the venue on the show day.

What am I not allowed to bring to the concert?

Prohibited articles and items are as follows:

Any article that may be used as a weapon

Professional cameras and recording devices (including cameras with detachable lenses)

Selfie sticks

Bottles, glass vessels, cans, flasks, frisbees, and related items

Dangerous or hazardous items

Illegal substances

Scooters, skateboards, or other skates

Flag poles and flares, laser devices

Prams and push chairs

Inflatable and folding chairs

Large suitcases

Illegal merchandise items

Alcohol and drinks

Animals (except service dogs and guide dogs)

Concert goers are advised to not bring a bag unless it is totally necessary, as people without bags will be fast-tracked. If you must bring a bag, it needs to be less than A4 size.

'An extravaganza': Everything you need to know ahead of Garth Brooks' five nights in Croke Park

ORGANISERS HAVE SAID that Garth Brooks’ upcoming five concerts in Croke Park will be an “extravaganza” that will deliver a “significant boost” to the Irish economy.

The country music star is set to play the first of his Dublin shows in four days’ time on 9 September, followed by four other shows on the 10, 11, 16 and 17 September.

Organisers are expecting over 400,000 people to attend the sold-out events, which they likened to “five all-Ireland finals coming together”.

“Everybody wants a ticket,” Jim Clarke of Aiken Promotions told reporters this morning.

“This is probably the biggest cultural event in Ireland in the history of music, so clearly people want tickets, and that demand is not going to diminish as the days approach.”

Stadium director Peter McKenna said the concerts are a “phenomenal event” to come to Croke Park, calling Brooks “an icon and a world superstar”. 

“I would really like to thank Peter Aiken for sticking with this over a large number of years, eight years in total since the first concerts were thought of. To bring the concerts to Croke Park, it’s not an easy challenge,” McKenna said.

He also acknowledged the support from the local community for the shows, which he said has been ” very, very positive this time around”.

“I think everyone that comes in will have a really good time. As I said, this is a world superstar and I think it’s going to be five evenings of just really spectacular entertainment.”

Work has started on the stage for the shows, which is being purpose-built for these shows alone. Several documentaries of the events are also set to be filmed, Clarke said.

“This equipment, a lot of it has been flown directly from America. It is a one-off, it’s not part of an established tour. Everything we’re doing here, we’re doing for the first time,” he said.

There’ll be a tremendous lighting background to the show. It’s going to be an extravaganza.

Clarke added that the events will be “an absolute boost to the Irish economy”.

“It’s a boost for the local employment as well. I think when you look back at this, people will think this has probably been an absolute bonus for Dublin city and for Ireland.”

Getting there

Gates will open at 5pm, with Garth Brooks going onstage at 7.30pm sharp each night. There is no support act for any of the five shows.

Early queueing for the concerts will not be permitted in the streets around the stadium.

People should ensure that they have downloaded their tickets to their iPhone wallet or Google Pay wallet in advance of the show, as screenshots or printouts of digital tickets will not be accepted.

They should also ensure that their mobile phone is fully charged before attending the event, and that they have the correct ticket for the correct date.

Organisers are asking attendees not to bring a bag unless it is totally necessary. Any bags must be less than A4 size and will be searched ahead of the event. People without bags will be fast-tracked.

Under 14s will not be allowed entry to the standing/pitch area.

Garda Superintendent Martin Mooney said gardaí have a comprehensive plan in place for the event. 

“At the end of day, there’ll be 80,000-plus patrons coming here every night so their safe arrival, that they enjoy the concert and that they leave the concert and get home safe, that’s our main priority,” he said.

A “soft” Garda cordon will be put in place on the roads surrounding Croke Park from 10.30am, where residents and businesses in the area will be accommodated, while the hard cordon will be put in place from 3pm. 

“That basically is the roads around the environs of Croke Park will be in lockdown,” he said.

Residents with up-to-date vehicle passes will be allowed access to the area. There will be no traffic permitted inside the inner cordon after 10.15pm, except for emergency vehicles.

‘Be mindful’ of local residents

Mooney urged concert-goers to be mindful and respectful of local residents around the stadium. 

He said there will be “zero tolerance” for any person drinking on the street, urinating on the streets, littering or engaging in antisocial behavior.

Concert-goers should allow plenty of time to get to the venue, and to plan how they are going to leave once the concert finishes, he said.

People are urged to use public transport where possible, and can plan their journeys and  check how to get to and from Croke Park on the  Transport for Ireland website .

Irish Rail and Bus Éireann have laid on additional services for the events, while Luas and Dublin Bus services have extended opening hours. 

For those driving, there will be 400 car parking spaces available at O’Connell School’s car park on North Richmond Street.

Private coaches will not be permitted to drop attendees at Croke Park or Mountjoy Square. Coaches can park at the Dublin City Council facility on Collins Avenue, located next to Whitehall GAA Club. It can accommodate up to 130 coaches.

Garth Brooks Plots Two Dates at Croke Park in Ireland for 2022

Garth Brooks is returning to Ireland for two massive stadium shows that will actually serve as makeup dates of a sort. The country megastar is set to perform at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, eight years after having to cancel a string of dates at the venue that were supposed to help launch his three-year comeback World Tour.

According to a post on Instagram on Thursday morning (Nov. 18), Brooks is slated to perform two shows at Croke Park on Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, as part of his ongoing Stadium Tour.

The dates mark the first new stadium dates Brooks has announced since he suspended the remaining portion of his U.S. Stadium Tour dates for 2021 in response to the continuing spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19.

Tickets for the two concerts in Dublin will go on sale to the public on Thursday, Nov. 25.

Brooks initially announced that his 2014 comeback tour — his first in nearly 15 years after a long period of self-imposed retirement while he raised his kids — would include 5 dates at Croke Park, which holds more than 80,000 people. Those dates ended up being scrapped when the city council would only grant three of the nights, leading Brooks to cancel all of the planned dates.

The country icon  canceled his remaining 2021 Stadium Tour dates  in August due to COVID-19 concerns. Brooks is set to perform at the Grand Ole Opry \ House in Nashville on Thursday (Nov. 18), followed by two intimate performances at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Nov. 19-20.

He has also  revived his Dive Bar Tour , with more dates to be announced.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Garth Brooks Irish shows

It's been a long time coming but Garth Brooks much anticipated return to Ireland is fast approaching.

The sold-out gigs will see more than 400,000 fans descend on Drumcondra to watch the country music superstar perform across five nights Friday 9, Saturday 10, Sunday 11, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 September.

As the countdown to the five mega shows in Croke Park gets shorter and shorter, here is everything you need to know before you head to see the singer.

Who is opening up for Garth Brooks?

Well, there's no time for hanging around outside the venue having a few drinks before the gig!

Ireland has a whole myriad of homegrown country music talent, but it seems Garth isn't interested in sharing the stage.

In a surprising move, it is being reported that there will be no opening acts for the country singers Irish dates, so definitely be there on time to get the full experience.

What time do gates open at?

As the only person taking to the stage will be Friends In Low Places hitmaker, it's key that folks know for the gates to the venue open at 5pm each evening, with the superstar taking to the stage at 7.30pm.

If you think you might be able to snag the best view in the house by queuing earlier be warned, such actions are not permitted.

 Anyone caught breaking this rule will be asked to leave by event patrons and Gardaí.

Are there age restrictions?

Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult and nobody under 14 will be permitted onto the pitch standing area.

Strictly no children under the age of five-years-old are permitted to attend the concert.

Anyone attended the show with their young children or those with an intellectual disability is encouraged to avail of 'FREE-TAG-A-KID' safety wristbands, which they can write a contact number and seat number, just in case they get separated.

The wristbands will be available at all the customer care points both outside and inside the venue.

As is standard practice, anyone looking to purchase alcohol must have a valid ID with them.

If you thought you might be able to snag a last minute ticket, this is unfortunately unlikely as the shows are completely sold out.

Be wary of resellers too as they last thing you want is to get scammed and not only be turned away from the gates end up out of pocket.

The Box Office will be open from 2pm each concert day, and is located at the junction of Gills Corner and North Circular Road.

Concert goers are advised to download their tickets in advance in order to speed up queuing times on the day.

Getting there

There is no parking available at Croke Park, so if you can, fans are advised to use public transport.

A traffic management plan will be in operation by An Garda Siochana, and road closures will be in place to help ease congestion.

For those travelling from afar by car, there are several carparks throughout the city centre that they can avail of.

The stadium is well serviced by public transport including Dublin Bus, Rail, DART and LUAS transport options available within walking distance.

Taxi services throughout the city will also be available to fans.

"...The end-result is a slam dunk, game/set/match performance. But it’s more than these, of course: it’s the world’s most successful country music star on, de facto, home turf playing to a home crowd.

As a coda, it’s worth noting that on April 30th last, Brooks performed in Tiger Stadium on the campus of Louisiana State University. During the show, he stirred the audience to such a level that the noise recorded on the university’s seismograph registered as an earthquake. Dublin had best prepare itself for more of the same over the next seven days or so."

Garth Brooks Dublin setlist full of popular songs including cute duet with wife on Croke Park stage

Garth Brooks will take to the Croke Park stage again this weekend as he finishes up a historic five-night run in the Dublin stadium. Fans can expect the setlist for Friday and Saturday's concerts to look something like this.

Garth Brooks is preparing to take to the Croke Park stage for the last of his five concerts this weekend.

He’s already performed three nights in the Dublin stadium and will round out his historic stint with two more shows on Friday and Saturday.

More than 400,000 tickets have been sold to see the country music superstar perform in GAA HQ across the five nights.

With three gigs already under his belt, fans have a good idea of what the setlist will look like for the upcoming shows.

With no support act, Garth Brooks took to stage each night around 8pm and performed until just after 10pm.

During the two hour concerts, he performed between 24 and 26 songs, with his wife Trisha Yearwood joining him for a special duet at the end.

The setlist included all his big hits, as well as several covers.

He opened all three shows with Ireland, and his biggest hits - including The River, The Thunder Rolls, Unanswered Prayers, If Tomorrow Never Comes, Callin’ Baton Rouge, The Dance and Standing Outside The Fire - were played every night, so are highly likely to feature this Friday and Saturday.

Towards the end of all gigs, his wife Trisha Yearwood joined him for a duet of Shallow before then singing one of her own songs.

In a press conference ahead of the gigs, Garth Brooks promised every show would be different and each night's setlist won't be finalised until right before he and his band take to the stage - and could even be changed last minute during the concert.

This means there is no way to know for certain what songs he will play on the night, but below is the setlist from his last show - so you can expect the setlist for this weekend to look something like this.

LAS VEGAS, September 13, 2024 --( BUSINESS WIRE )--After selling out all of his performances since opening in May of 2023, Garth Brooks has announced the final three weekends of his Las Vegas residency, Garth Brooks/Plus ONE , at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace . The final shows will take place from February 21 through March 9, 2025.

"I can't believe it has come and gone, already. The Caesars gig has been my favorite so far. No setlist, no rules, just the music and the listener come first. I LOVE that! These last shows are going to be hard for me, emotionally, because I can't stand the thought of this residency being over," said Garth Brooks.

Garth Brooks/Plus ONE gives fans the opportunity to see Garth up close and personal on The Colosseum stage. No two shows will be the same. With varying instrumentation--whether it be one fiddle, percussion and background vocals, or the whole band--and the occasional special guest, Garth and his audience will share a once-in-a-lifetime experience each and every night.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Thursday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. PT at Ticketmaster.com/GarthVegas .

Citi is the official card of Garth Brooks/Plus ONE at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Monday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. PT until Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. PT through the Citi Entertainment program. Past ticket purchasers will have access to a presale beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PT . Garth Brooks Set To Kick Off 2024-2025 Las Vegas Residency – Setlist & Ticket Info

The start of country music singer and songwriter Garth Brooks’ 2024-2025 Las Vegas Residency is right around the corner.

Starting on September 26, all shows will take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The last show will take place on March 9, 2025.

Born in 1962, a native of Oklahoma, Brooks began to perform in bars while he was in school at Oklahoma State University. He moved to Nashville in 1987 and released his first album two years later. He has since sold over 138 million albums and is one of the best-selling solo artists in United States history.

Brooks is the only artist in music history who has released nine albums that were all certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America, beating The Beatles’ previous record of six. 

Since 1989, Brooks has released 27 records, with 17 studio albums, two live albums, three compilation albums, three Christmas albums, four box sets, along with 77 singles. He has won 17 American Music Awards and two Grammy Awards.
