Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil reveals plans for 2024 tour and third Vegas residency

"We're far from being over", the frontman said of the band's recently finalised Stadium Tour

vince neil world tour

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has revealed that the band is planning a 2024 tour, and has intentions of completing a third residency at Las Vegas.

Neil – who last week (September 9) wrapped up this year’s stretch of the group’s Stadium Tour alongside bandmates Tommy Lee , Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars – revealed the band’s future schedule in an interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal .

“I am kind of sad, because it’s been so much fun,” Neil said of The Stadium Tour’s completion, “[but] we’re far from being over. When we come back in ’24, we’re going to do it all over again.”

The Stadium Tour,  which has thus far  taken Mötley Crüe across the US and Canada from June through to September, will re-commence in February of next year. The band is expected to again enlist tourmates Def Leppard , Poison and Joan Jett for the 2023 run of shows, which will take place across Mexico, South America, Europe and more.

Nothing as big as this comes from any one person alone. Yes, you see us onstage and sometimes it seems as if it’s all… Posted by Motley Crue on  Saturday, September 10, 2022

Earlier this year, Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen revealed similar long-term intentions for the tour, telling Chile’s Radio Futuro that The Stadium Tour would run for “at least three years”.

“Definitely next summer is gonna be Europe, and then South America, Australia [and] Japan. Next year, hopefully at some point, we’ll be playing all of those markets,” Collen said (as per Noise 11 ). Sixx echoed similar intentions in August.

While Neil didn’t reveal specifics of the prospective 2024 tour, he did say that he intends for Mötley Crüe’s return to include a residency in Las Vegas. Should it come to fruition, the residency would mark Mötley Crüe’s third stint on the strip, having completed runs of Vegas shows at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in 2012 and 2013.

“We have definitely talked about doing [another Vegas residency], and everybody loves to do the residencies. So I say, ‘Yeah, we’re gonna do it.’ We just have to look at sometime in ‘24, to be back in Vegas, but we will be back,” Neil said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Neil confirmed that despite their plans to continue touring, a new Mötley Crüe album is not on the cards. “We are strictly a touring band,” he said “there are a lot of cool special effects [on the tour], and we’re just a cool band putting on a rock show.”

Mötley Crüe’s Stadium Tour, which began in June and marks their first tour since officially reuniting in 2018, has been rife with complications. In June, Lee left and later rejoined the tour after an injury left the drummer with broken ribs . Last month, a man attending the band’s tour date in Indianapolis was injured after falling from the upper level of the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Earlier this week, Lee revealed to crowds at one of the final Vegas shows that he’d joined OnlyFans . The drummer referenced the full-frontal nude photo he’d posted to Instagram last month, which he said came off the back of “a motherfucking bender.”

Vince Neil Announces Another MÖTLEY CRÜE Stadium Tour For 2024

Vince Neil Announces Another MÖTLEY CRÜE Stadium Tour For 2024 | Society Of Rock Videos

via anushkacz1 / YouTube

In a recent interview with The Music Universe on June 29, MÖTLEY CRÜE’s iconic frontman, Vince Neil, spilled the beans about the band’s covert club performance in London, England.

Operating in secret under the alias “DÖGS OF WAR,” MÖTLEY CRÜE orchestrated a sensation with their covert performance, selling out tickets in the blink of an eye.

Vince Neil’s enthusiasm was palpable as he shared the thrill, saying (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET ):

“Well, we went in the studio not too long ago — about six months ago — and recorded three new songs. And one of ’em is called ‘Dogs Of War’. And we’re doing a show tomorrow night at a club here in London [under the name] DÖGS OF WAR. And I guess word got out, ’cause it sold out in less than a minute. So it was pretty cool”

Reflecting on the recent studio sessions with renowned producer Bob Rock, Neil expressed his contentment:

“It’s neat. There’s three brand new MÖTLEY CRÜE songs. And we’re gonna film it tomorrow night. I hope people like it.”

When the question of inspiration arose regarding their return to the studio, Vince shared insight into the creative process, stating:

“Well, we’ve written the songs, and then we had Bob Rock, our producer, come in and take a listen to ’em too. We got some studio time and went in and recorded. I didn’t record with the band, ’cause I’m in Nashville, and they’re in L.A. They recorded the tracks in Nashville, and then I did like a Zoom call with the producer for three days. And I did all the songs. And they turned out really well. One of them is the BEASTIE BOYS song ‘Fight For Your Right’… That turned out really cool. ( Alprazolam ) ”

Anticipation brewed as Neil was prodded about the possibility of a new full-length album.

With a hint of mystery, he replied:

“I don’t know if we’re gonna do a whole album or not. We’ll see how these songs go first.”

Peering into the future, Vince divulged MÖTLEY CRÜE’s exciting plans, revealing:

“We’re gonna finish up. We have eight shows in the U.S. after [our current European tour with DEF LEPPARD]. Then we go to Australia and Japan. And then we do… I think we’re gonna go back in the studio for a couple of more songs. And then we will announce a new stadium tour for next summer. And we’re not sure who’s gonna be on it, but there’ll be another tour.”

MÖTLEY CRÜE fans have a lot to look forward to, with fresh music on the horizon and the promise of a stadium tour that’s bound to rock the world once more.

DEF LEPPARD/MOTLEY CRUE 2024 North American STADIUM TOUR Update

Def Leppard and Motley Crue will tour North America in 2024 on The Stadium Tour and Vince Neil has given a new update.

The World Tour 2023 started in Mexico City in February 2023.

The current UK/European leg ends on 6th July in Glasgow.

Six joint stadium/arena shows were announced in December 2022 for August 2023.

A 7th USA show for Def Leppard was then announced in Sturgis, SD for the same month.

The Stadium Tour 2024

Vince Neil was interviewed this week in London and once again mentioned the current tour will return to the USA in 2024.

He first mentioned this back in September 2022 when also confirming the 2023 touring would start in South America in the Spring (which it did of course).

Nikki Sixx then also said in the same month that the tour still had up to 120 more shows to play in 2023 and 2024.

Three Year Tour

As mentioned many times before both Phil and Joe stated the stadium shows would last three years.

Joe mentioned the three years of touring again in July 2022 when talking about the now announced (and almost completed) UK shows.

A full return to the USA and Canada was always likely having played everywhere else in 2023 with the dates (probably) to be announced before the end of this year.

Vince Neil Discusses New Motley Crue Recordings, Extending Crue’s Stadium Tour

Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil spoke to The Music Universe Podcast on the show's July 1 episode about the new Motley Crue material that the classic glam rock band recently recorded with the veteran rock and metal producer Bob Rock.

Amid the interview, Neil also addressed the circumstances surrounding Motley Crue's ongoing " Stadium Tour ," which he said will extend past this year, as Blabbermouth  reported.

Are you ready to rock out with Motley Crue into 2024?

"It's neat," Neil says of the material the band newly recorded with Rock, noting that there are "three brand new Motley Crue songs."

The Motley Crue vocalist continues, "We went in the studio not too long ago — about six months ago — and recorded three new songs. And one of them is called 'Dogs Of War.' And we're doing a show tomorrow night (June 30)  (Editor's Note: See the setlist and footage here ) at a club in London [under the name] Dogs of War. And I guess word got out because it sold out in less than a minute."

Neil explains that after Motley Crue had written the new songs, "We had Bob Rock, our producer, come in and take a listen to them, too. We got some studio time and went in and recorded."

However, Neil "didn't record with the band," the singer adds, "because I'm in Nashville, and they're in LA. They recorded the tracks in Nashville, and then I did a Zoom call with the producer for three days. And I did all the songs. And they turned really out well. One of them is the Beastie Boys' song 'Fight For Your Right'… That turned out really cool."

As for the specifics of the songs' eventual release, the Motley Crue vocalist says, "I don't know if we're going to do a whole album or not. We'll see how these songs go first."

Neil added of Motley Crue's Stadium Tour, "We're going to finish [the current dates] up. We have eight shows in the U.S. after [our current European tour with Def Leppard]. Then we go to Australia and Japan. And then we do — I think we're [returning to] the studio for a couple more songs. And then we will announce a new stadium tour for next summer. Amazing show! Lots of Motley Crue songs, some Zeppelin and Dio. Vince sounded great, lots of energy and of course the band was amazing. Jeff Blanfo shredded the guitar, Dana Strum amazing on bass and of course Zoltran Chaney on drums made Tommy Lee look like an amateur!

Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil to rock the Spokane Tribe Casino

The term “legend” shouldn’t be thrown around lightly, but the word is a proper way to describe Vince Neil.

Neil was playing with his band Rock Candy in the early 1980s when Tommy Lee, the drummer of a newly formed band by the name of Mötley Crüe, heard his former high school classmate and knew he would make the perfect lead vocalist. And as they say, the rest is history.

Neil and the Crüe would go on to rule the ’80s hair band scene with classic hits like “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood” and “Kickstart My Heart.” They would go on an astronomical five-album run during the decade which would include “Shout at the Devil,” “Theatre of Pain,” and “Girls, Girls, Girls” going four-times platinum while 1989’s “Dr. Feelgood” has since been certified platinum six times. Not to mention their extensive touring schedule that sold out arena after arena worldwide. At the end of the day, the Crüe don’t need much introduction.

Neil explored his first solo venture with an album in 1993 and 1995 with a third album released in 2010. He has also opened multiple clubs, a restaurant, tattoo parlor, and has started his own wine label and tequila brand.

Now, Neil has put together his own band of heavy metal musicians and will rock Spokane Live at the Spokane Tribe Casino on Saturday , June 15 .

VINCE NEIL Schedules Solo Concert In Middle Of MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'The Stadium Tour'

According to InForum , MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil will headline the Red River Valley Fair on July 16 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are GREAT WHITE and VIXEN . Tickets go on sale on January 28 at 9 a.m.

Neil 's appearance at the Red River Valley Fair is raising eyebrows with CRÜE fans who are concerned that the band's "The Stadium Tour" will once again be postponed after it was originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020 but ended up being pushed back to 2021, and then to 2022, due to the coronavirus crisis. As it stands, Vince is scheduled to perform with MÖTLEY CRÜE one day before the Red River Valley Fair , on July 15, in Cincinnati, Ohio at Great American Ball Park and again one day after the West Fargo gig, on July 17, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at American Family Field.

Last month, Nikki Sixx said that MÖTLEY CRÜE is still on track to finally launch its long-awaited reunion this year. The bassist addressed the status of "The Stadium Tour" while answering a fan question on Twitter . Responding to a fan who wrote, "I'm hopefully going to see The Crue in Houston Tx Aug 2022!", Sixx said, "We 100% plan on touring in 2022. See ya at the show."

This past October, Sixx told Germany's Radio Bob! that he and his CRÜE bandmates will "start rehearsals in May" for "The Stadium Tour" — which also features DEF LEPPARD , POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS . "I start training in December," he said. "Now it's down to hard work, getting ready, getting the band into rehearsal.

"We rehearse really hard because we will take a song like 'Dr. Feelgood' and while we're building the show — let's just say the show is… all the lights are moving, they're green and they're slowly moving — we'll build a whole intro in and design the lights and the lasers around that," he explained. "So it's a long process and tedious. So we go to rehearsal and we might need to build in those 32 bars. And then we've gotta work with the lighting and the laser company. And then we've gotta make sure everything is organized so we get our count-ins for where we need to be onstage. So there's so much going on."

When it happens, "The Stadium Tour" will mark the CRÜE 's first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell tour. CRÜE toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017, but the upcoming jaunt marks the first time all four acts — including JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS — have hit the road together for an extended tour.

MÖTLEY CRÜE 's last studio album was 2008's "Saints Of Los Angeles" , which was followed by a 2009 "Greatest Hits" compilation.

In 2018, MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded four new songs for "The Dirt" movie, including the single "The Dirt (Est. 1981) (Feat. Machine Gun Kelly)" , "Ride With The Devil" , "Crash And Burn" and the band's own spin on Madonna 's "Like A Virgin" .

Neil Young and Crazy Horse cancel tour, Hollywood Bowl show: ‘A couple of us got sick’

Neil Young and Crazy Horse are taking a break from the road, canceling the remaining shows of their Love Earth tour.

Young announced the cancellation Wednesday on his website , citing the health of the Crazy Horse band members, which currently include him, band co-founder Ralph Molina, bassist Billy Talbot and singer Micah Nelson (son of country music legend Willie Nelson). “When a couple of us got sick after Detroit’s Pine Knob, we had to stop,” the band wrote in a statement. It did not name which members were dealing with health issues and did not provide more details about the nature of their illness.

“We are still not fully recovered, so sadly our great tour will have a big unplanned break,” the statement continued.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse turn back time at the Roxy

Fifty years after opening the venerable L.A. club, Neil Young and Crazy Horse reassembled, in all their ragged glory, to perform two of their classic albums.

Sept. 22, 2023

Crazy Horse announced its Love Earth tour in February. The “Down by the River” group played the Pine Knob in Michigan and were set to play several shows in Canada in July and the Hollywood Bowl in late September. Now it seems those shows are no more — though the band said it is open to playing those missed dates “as time passes when we are ready to rock again.”

“Health is #1,” the statement declared. “We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you … and for for us.”

The now-canceled tour launched with a San Diego concert in late April, a month after Young reinstated his music on Spotify after a two-year boycott. He withdrew his catalog in 2022 after taking issue with Spotify’s platforming of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” accusing the popular podcast of spreading medical misinformation.

Neil Young returns his music to Spotify, ‘except for the full sound we created’

Neil Young will return his music to Spotify, as other platforms are now “serving the same disinformation podcast features.”

March 13, 2024

In March, Young wrote on his website , “My decision comes as services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I had opposed at Spotify.”

He added: “I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all, so I have returned to Spotify.”

Less than two weeks later, Joni Mitchell — who had followed Young’s lead in 2022 — also q uietly returned to the music streaming platform.

Netflix cut the ribbon on its newly expanded studios facility in Albuquerque at a grand-opening event Thursday in New Mexico.

Netflix acquired ABQ Studios in 2018 for a relative steal in a deal worth $30 million and the company scored additional state and local funding as well as production tax credits. The facility originally comprised eight soundstages totaling 132,000 square feet across 28 acres.

Since 2019, Netflix has directly invested nearly $575 million in New Mexico productions, according to Sarandos. From 2021-23, the company hired more than 4,000 cast and crew members for productions in the state. When factoring in other productions that have used Netflix Studios Albuquerque, the overall investment is “closer to $900 million,” he said.

Since acquiring the facility, Netflix has filmed several TV series and films in New Mexico, including “Stranger Things” Season 4, “The Harder They Fall” from writer-director Jeymes Samuel (aka The Bullitts), Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” and Vince Gilligan’s “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.” Sarandos gave a shout-out to Gilligan, who was in attendance at the event, praising his “his unique vision and unwavering dedication to high-quality storytelling, particularly in highlighting life in New Mexico.” Sarandos also said Netflix named a crossing in the studio after Gilligan.

Netflix’s deal for ABQ Studios marked its first purchase of a production studio complex. Originally opened in 2007, the lot has hosted productions including Marvel’s “The Avengers,” “Breaking Bad” and “Sicario.”

Netflix’s recent active productions at the Albuquerque studios include “Ransom Canyon,” billed as a contemporary Western romance starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly. That production employed over 700 New Mexicans, including 380 crew members, 40 principal actors and 30 background actors, according to Sarandos. Other productions hosted at the facility include “Pulse,” Netflix’s first medical procedural, which employs 200 crew members and 30 background actors, and supernatural series “The Boroughs,” from executive producers the Duffer brothers (“Stranger Things”).

Sarandos said that “as part of our commitment to sustainability,” the expanded Albuquerque studio incorporates features including on-site solar and battery storage systems, geothermal heating and cooling, all-electric appliances and 50 electric vehicle fast-charging stations.

Netflix shared additional photos from the studios facility:
