Fun logo concept for summer camp theme
The inspiration behind this logo comes from a previous summer where the theme was first introduced. This is a fresh approach in which I created the text from the ground up and gave it a light-hearted feel. The slime is indicative of the camp's many activities and I liked the idea of it being spattered on and kind of dripping down the word "Ooze". The word "CRUISE" is colored to give it a vacation and sea faring feel. The 3D drop shapes behind "CRUISE" and the accompanying outlines throughout are to help push the text out from the background.

Travel Destinations Together
This time, the concept is more focused on luxury. By combining the initials S + E in such a way that they make a design with a luxurious feeling, plus the curves made from this combination, a map image representing the destinations is created. while the circle that frames it represents harmony. I purposefully did not include cruise features or other modes of transportation because I believe we must convey brand value to clients through visuals rather than the products or services we offer. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks.

Royal Caribbean Changes Their Logo
Royal Caribbean, the world’s largest cruise line, has updated their logo to give it a more modern look.
Royal Caribbean is removing the yellow and the word International from their logo. They are also replacing the Navy Blue (PMS 281) with a new, brighter Navy Blue (PMS 2748).
The new logo with their signature Crown & Anchor can be seen below:
They have also revised their Crown & Anchor symbol. It will be just the top half of their new logo without the words “Royal Caribbean”.
This is a change from this logo that they have been using:
Royal Caribbean gave the following reason for making this change:
“The most powerful brands in the world have an icon. A brand symbol that they are known for. Ours is the Crown & Anchor — and further elevating this symbol is one of the key goals for our brand.
“As we continue this journey to elevate our brand in the larger vacation landscape, it’s time to elevate the Crown & Anchor by simplifying the complex elements around it.
“A new modernized logo design unleashes the Crown & Anchor from the previous logo while presenting the Royal Caribbean name with modern, yet timeless typography. ”

What makes a good Cruise Ship logo?
Not all Cruise Ship logos are created equal. Choosing the right logo type for your business is one of the keys to creating a great Cruise Ship logo. There's an array of logo types and what you choose depends on the emotions and message you want your logo to evoke. Logos with just text or simple letters can convey professionalism or luxury, whereas a Cruise Ship logo with just an icon can be more jovial and exciting - maybe your logo should have both? This is a critical decision in the logo design process.
Ever considered why some companies use specific colors in the Cruise Ship logo? Or why some businesses have certain colors in their branding? Color theory and psychology is the science of eliciting emotions and feelings via the use of color. Knowing what colors trigger different reactions from consumers can help a company create the perfect Cruise Ship logo for their business. It definitely pays to choose the right colors for your Cruise Ship logo. Want to be seen as a dependable, trustworthy brand or maybe you want to be sporty and active. Choosing the right colors for your logo is the key to getting the message right.
Shapes & Patterns
Just like colors, shapes can influence a person's emotions. The psychology of shapes has a key role in creating a great Cruise Ship logo. We're not just talking about squares, circles and triangles here, but the geometric patterns that make up your Cruise Ship logo. Sharp corners and straight lines are aligned with discipline and strength, whereas softer curves, ovals and ellipses can convey a sense of eternity, mystery or magic. There's more shapes to consider as part of your logo - natural shapes like leaves, complex shapes like spirals or even abstract patterns. Getting the balance right will help you get the perfect Cruise Ship logo for your brand.

Changing Colors: Major Cruise Brands Introduce New Liveries
- June 12, 2021
Cruise lines are embracing new hull art and ship liveries in an effort to stand out, as highlighted by Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International, which are both embracing new paint schemes on their ships.
Carnival Cruise Line
This year Carnival Cruise Line became the latest brand to introduce a new livery. In May, the company announced that the new hull design of the new Mardi Gras will become a feature across the fleet as the company prepares to celebrate its 50th birthday in 2022.
The livery is highlighted by a stately navy-blue hull, inspired by officers’ uniforms, along with vibrant red and white accents running the entire length of the ship.
After the Mardi Gras, the Carnival Magic (pictured above) was the first vessel to receive the new colors during a drydock in Marseilles.
Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean International updated its livery in 2020, adding a larger name on the hull of the new Odyssey of the Seas . Unusually big, the vessel name runs 87.4 meters down each side of the ship.
It’s the second new look for Royal Caribbean in the last decade.
The Quantum of the Seas, launched in 2014, debuted a new color template for the company, with a light blue hull.
The color scheme was later added on selected vessels, including the recently “Amplified” Freedom of the Seas.
Celebrity Cruises
As part of the Celebrity Revolution program , Celebrity Cruises is adding a new livery to its fleet. While undergoing the upgrades, the company’s existing ships also receive the color scheme of the new Edge-cClass vessels that have a dark blue hull.
The livery has been added to seven of the 11 Celebrity ships.
Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises introduced a new livery in 2016 , adding a giant version of its “sea witch” logo to the hull of the 2013-built Royal Princess.
The fresh look, which also includes the repositioning of the ship’s name, was later added to other vessels and is now present on the entire fleet.
Costa Cruises
In 2018, Costa C became another Carnival Corporation brand to introduce a revised livery . The subtle change saw the name of the ships painted on the bow with a specially designed new font in larger lettering, as well as the addition of a stylized Italian flag.
The livery was created to mark the 70th anniversary of the Italian brand and has since been added to the entire fleet.
With the introduction of the 2015-built Britannia , P&O Cruises also introduced a new paint scheme to its fleet.
The brand’s traditional funnels were repainted in blue, with the addition of P&O’s rising sun logo. As part of the new livery the hulls across the fleet saw a stylized British flag added.
P&O Australia
In 2016, P&O Australia announced the addition of a stylized Southern Cross to the hull of its latest vessel , the Pacific Explorer. Along with a new color and a new logo on the funnel, the five-star constellation image became P&O’s new livery.
More recently, the look was added to the Pacific Encounter , the newest ship in the fleet.
Silversea Cruises
Silversea is introducing a new hull color to its fleet with a light gray adorned on the hulls of select ships.
Three vessels are currently sporting the updated color scheme, including the new Silver Origin.
Under construction in Italy , the newbuild Silver Dawn already shows the new gray hull as well.
Marella Cruises
To mark the addition of the former Splendour of the Seas to its fleet , the TUI-owned Marella Cruises introduced a new livery in 2016.
Then called Thomson Cruises, the brand created a new “wave design”, in-line with TUI’s airplanes.
According to Marella, the new branding was meant to keep the consistency across all markets and is now present on the entire cruise fleet.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Line
In 2015, Fred. Olsen debuted a new look on its fleet.. The new color scheme and livery represented the change of position for its product within the premium market, the company said at the time.
The gray hull is a throwback to Fred. Olsen’s heritage, when the first Black Watch and Black Prince were launched in the 1930s, according to the company. The use of the “Cartier” red line refers to the company’s “Red Carpet” service level for every guest.

Norwegian unveiled plans for a new cruise ship — complete with a roller coaster waterslide and night club to take on Royal Caribbean
- Norwegian Cruise Line says its 3,550-guest Norwegian Luna will debut in 2026.
- The company's 21st vessel would have family-friendly amenities such as a roller coaster-like waterslide.
- Luna could be a good option for families who prefer a new build but don't enjoy mega cruise ships .
If you're tired of only hearing about ultra-large cruise ships or ultra-expensive small ones, Norwegian Cruise Line has the answer.
On Wednesday, the popular cruise company unveiled details of Norwegian Luna, its next Prima Plus Class ship.
The upcoming vessel, Norwegian's 21st, would have family-friendly amenities like infinity pools, a high-tech sports court, and a cross between a roller coaster and waterslide.
The cruise liner is scheduled to kick off its maiden season in April 2026 with weeklong Caribbean cruises roundtrip from Miami.
At 1,056 feet long and 156,300 gross tons, Luna would be larger than the company's preceding Prima Class vessels but smaller than any ships its competitor, Royal Caribbean, has debuted over the last 15 years.
If you don't love giant cruise ships, Royal Caribbean's dazzling mega-ships could make for an overwhelming vacation.
The largest, Icon of the Seas, is 1,1960 feet long and 250,800 gross tons. It may be packed with family-friendly activities like a waterpark and an ice skating rink, but you'll have to share these amenities with another 7,599 guests.
Two of Royal Caribbean's less sizable cruise ships are also scheduled for Miami cruises in 2026. But by then, the newer of the two, Independence of the Seas, will already be 18 years old.
So, if you want to cruise out of Miami but prefer a new, large-but-not-too-large vessel, the 3,550-guest Norwegian Luna could be a great option for you and your family.
The ship is expected to be identical to Norwegian's upcoming Norwegian Aqua , scheduled to debut in March 2025. The pair of floating resorts won't have as many attractions as Icon of the Seas, but they would still hold their ground in the family-friendly cruise industry.
Like Aqua, Luna would have signature Norwegian amenities such as a 10-station food hall, a 10-story-tall dry slide, and Ocean Boulevard, an open-air walkway with restaurants, pools, and lounges.
Young children would have a water playground while adults have an al fresco lounge with infinity hot tubs.
Along with a new Thai restaurant, wine bar, and plant-based eatery, Aqua and Luna would also debut two firsts for the cruise line: the Aqua Slidecoaster and the Glow Court. Norwegian calls the former a cross between a roller coaster and a waterslide, and the latter a high-tech sports court that turns into a nightclub at sundown.
The ships may not have as expensive or playful cabins as Royal Caribbean's $100,000-a-week Ultimate Family Townhouse . But they would debut Norwegian's new two-story, three-bedroom Haven suites complete with a living and dining room, butler service, and access to an exclusive outdoor lounge.
Norwegian Luna's maiden season fares range from $1,400 per person for an interior cabin to $18,500 per person for the Owner's Suite. Not too steep compared to Icon of the Seas' cheapest 2026 itinerary, which comes in at about $1,710 per person for seven nights.

More information
Gastrointestinal illness is a commonly used term for acute gastroenteritis (AGE). Cruise ships report cases that meet our case definition for AGE. We define a reportable case of AGE as:
- Three or more loose stools within a 24-hour period or what is more than normal for that person OR
- Vomiting along with one of the following symptoms: diarrhea, muscle ache, headache, abdominal cramp, or fever
Case totals
Cases reported are totals for the entire voyage. It does not mean all people are sick at the same time, such as when they arrive or leave a port or ship.
The Vessel Sanitation Program helps the cruise ship industry prevent and control the introduction and spread of gastrointestinal illnesses on cruise ships.

Elements used in this design are: 1. Eiffel tower, to represent Paris. 2. Anchor, to represent the cruise or luxury boat. Disney is represented in the wish upon a star with the dandelion blowing up to the star. The Diamond shape is representing my presenting cruise vacations.
Royal Caribbean is removing the yellow and the word International from their logo. They are also replacing the Navy Blue (PMS 281) with a new, brighter Navy Blue (PMS 2748).
The logo evoked a sense of freedom, movement, lightness, and joy. The owner was adept at turning even failures into adventures. For example, on its very first voyage out of Miami, the ship ran aground. It took time and the evacuation of passengers before the cruise could continue. This event could have spelled the end for the young enterprise.
