The Eras Tour is Taylor Swift’s sixth concert tour. It started on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, and is scheduled to end on December 8, 2024 in Vancouver, Canada. As part of the Eras Tour, Taylor will play two shows in Lisbon, Portugal on May 24 and May 25, 2024. It will come as no surprise that both shows sold out almost immediately. With around 65,000 fans coming to see Taylor perform at a concert that lasts for almost 3.5 hours, here are some tips and tricks to ensure that you have the best experience at Taylor’s concert!

Where will Taylor Swift’s concert take place in Lisbon?

Taylor Swift is set to perform at Estádio da Luz, also known as Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, Lisboa, 1500-313). This is a multi-purpose stadium that is primarily used for association football home games of Portuguese club Benfica, the stadium’s owner. There are 65,000 covered seats in the stadium section. It is not yet clear what kind of seating will be available, if any, in the floor section for the Eras Tour. Come prepared to stand and be delighted if you get a seat on the floor. That’s our best advice.

What time does the Eras Tour start?

The doors to Estádio da Luz open at 4:30 p.m. on both May 24 and May 25, 2024. Paramore is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm, and Taylor will start performing at 8:00 pm. The show is scheduled to end between 11:15 pm and 11:30 pm. Each Eras Tour performance typically lasts for just under 3.5 hours. Taylor usually sings 44 songs grouped into 10 distinct acts that portray her different albums. No performance is exactly the same as there are often bonus songs that Taylor adds in and some outfits that will also change with each show.

Who is set to perform as the opening act for Taylor Swift in Lisbon?

The American rock band Paramore is set to open for Taylor Swift for the UK and EU legs of her Eras Tour in summer 2024. This includes Lisbon! Paramore lead vocalist Hayley Williams has been a long-time friend of Taylor, with both breaking into the music industry around the same time and still going strong today.

What is the best way to get to Taylor Swift’s Lisbon concert venue?

This is perhaps the most important advice that we can give you about attending Taylor’s concert in Lisbon. Take the metro and get to the area early. We repeat. Take the metro, in this case, the blue line (Linha Azul) , to one of two different stations. The closest metro station to Estádio da Luz is Colégio Militar/Luz station, which is about a 10-minute walk away. You can also alight at Alto dos Moinhos station, which is about the same distance away. When things get crowded, the Lisbon Metro is your best bet to get somewhere on time in the city. Traffic can slow to a crawl in Portugal’s capital city when everyone is trying to get to the same place, so we highly recommend the metro.

If you have a contactless credit card, you can actually tap in using sensors at the metro ticket gates at your starting station and tap out at the gates at your final station. This may be tricky to do with a group if there is only one credit card in the group. In this case, you will need to pass your credit card back over the gate to get multiple people through the gates, and make sure you also all tap out. You can also buy Navegante metro cards at any Metro ticket machine in advance and ensure that each person has at least 5€ loaded onto the card to get to the Eras Tour and back.

The Metro, under normal operating conditions, doesn’t close until 1:00 am every day, including weekends and public holidays. This should be plenty of time to also use the Metro on the way back to your accommodation.

If you would rather take a taxi or use a rideshare service, make sure to arrive to the venue way in advance. The best rideshare apps to use in Lisbon are Bolt, Uber, and FREENOW. Bolt is usually slightly cheaper while FREENOW also has the ability to call taxis from the app.

In Lisbon, during busy periods, it is not uncommon for drivers to drop rides at the last minute or take much longer to arrive than the app first calculates. This can be extremely frustrating when you’re trying to get somewhere quickly, which is why I recommend the metro.

There are also public buses available which can also be used with the Navegante cards. If you prefer to take a bus, there are several routes available, including 726, 729, 765, 767, 786, 750, and 799. Buses generally run until 1:00 am.

Will the show go ahead if it rains?

The Eras Tour will play rain or shine. The only exception would be if there is severe weather that could impact the safety of the performers and concertgoers. Please follow staff instructions and venue screens in these situations. For your information, the venue is mostly covered except for the stadium’s center. Keep an eye on the weather on the concert day and prepare accordingly. You may want to pack an easily packable plastic poncho. As this might be hard to find in Lisbon, bring one with you if you are coming from overseas.

Final Tips for the Best Taylor Swift Eras Tour Experience!

Although the doors open at 4:30 pm, we recommend arriving to the concert venue area at around this time and having an early dinner at Colombo Mall (Centro Comercial Colombo), which is adjacent to the Colégio Militar/Luz Metro Station. Colombo is the largest mall in Lisbon, with over 400 shops including a large food court on the third floor. You can take your pick from a large number of restaurants in the mall at affordable prices, and the mall is so close to the concert venue that you can easily walk over after your meal.

Be sure to also have a few snacks with you to get you through the long concert and make sure to stay hydrated throughout the event. It can get quite hot in Lisbon at the end of May, but evenings can also get a little chilly.

• Book your accommodation as soon as possible! Don’t wait until the last minute, as hotels in Lisbon can get notoriously expensive when the city gets crowded. We recommend the Rossio, Chiado, or São Sebastião areas for the best mix of easy access to the metro to get to the concert, along with convenient connections to other parts of the city. Remember, when the city gets crowded, the metro is your friend! If the metro is not working or there is a citywide strike, which can happen from time to time, have a plan B. This will probably involve getting to the venue even earlier or taking the bus, which generally doesn’t strike as often as metro and train services. There is always the taking a taxi option. Having a plan B is most important. This is why we feel it is best to get to the venue early, relax at Colombo Mall, and then head over to the stadium when you’re ready.

• Wear comfortable shoes. You are likely to be standing for more than 4 hours for the Eras Tour experience including Paramore’s performance. It’s important to be as comfortable as possible.
• Don’t bring selfie sticks, lights, or professional photo equipment or cameras. These are not permitted in the stadium.  These are not permitted at the concert.   
• Bring ear plugs. You may not need them, but it’s better to have some on hand than not have them but wish that you did.
• Bring napkins or toilet paper in case the toilets run out. This is going to be a sold-out show and you may find yourself without toilet paper. Plan ahead and bring your own.
• Download or take a screenshot of your concert tickets so you have them in case Wifi or phone service is difficult to access at the concert venue.
• Make bracelets in advance to bring to the concert and hand out to others! This is one of the best parts about coming to a Taylor Swift concert besides the lady herself and you don’t want to miss it!
• Wear your most amazing Taylor-inspired outfit! This is your time to shine and maybe even get Taylor to notice you. So go on. Be as creative as you want. Have fun and enjoy the show!

Hi! My family is traveling to Lisbon for the Era’s Tour! We have VIP floor tickets and we were under the impression that it was standing room only like Brazil and Argentina. This article says every concertgoer has a seat so do you know if the floor will have seats like the U.S. shows? We can’t seem to find this information anywhere.

However, we contacted the stadium and they informed us that they are not responsible for the bag policy on the night of the concerts. It is the concert organizers that set the bag policy. We have not been able to get in touch with the Eras Tour organizers for Lisbon, so we cannot say with confidence if a small backpack will be allowed. In our research, we found a detailed list for the Tokyo concert, which stated “no briefcases, bags, luggage, purses larger than a clutch bag or non-clear bags.” Guidance for US concerts has also included that clear bags brought to the stadium must not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. Yes! The Lisbon metro is quite safe. Please keep in mind that the metro runs from 6:30 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. every day.

Hi Sarah, I’m glad you enjoyed the article! I’m not sure from your reply if your children have their own tickets for the show, but, as far as we know, there are no specific age restrictions. Your children will need their own tickets to be able to enter. However, most countries have recommended not bringing children 5 and under due to the length of the concert and the loud noise.

Hi I was planning on bringing my 4 year old, she’s so excited, but the promotor confirmed to me that age limit is 6. We are devastated 🙁 Still will try to take her because Estadio da Luz confirmed to me that the minimum age is 3. So maybe we will get lucky?

When I bought our families tickets (kids age 5 and 7) the ticket said no age restriction just accompanied by adult and show ID.

We are not sure who is putting on the concert, but we know that it is not the stadium itself. If you want to contact the stadium to find out, you can try to call them at +351932401904, but we are not sure if they will know the answer. Do your tickets say “Standing Room Only?” It is our understanding that there are different types of floor tickets. We cannot say with certainty, but I would venture to say that the concert organizers would be able to work with you given your situation.

Hi Diana, based on our research, you can take small power banks inside. Small to average-sized purses are allowed, but you cannot bring rolling suitcases. Any other bag may need to be small, like a freezer bag size, and transparent as far as we know.

Do you know if the stadium has free wifi?

Hi Janet! There should be free Wifi, but we always suggest having backup data just in case it’s not working or too overloaded due to the packed stadium during the concert.

Can anyone tell me if you have the tickets already? we bought them and we got the app where they are supposed to be, but tickets are not there yet.

Hi Lourdes, So far, we have only seen people unboxing VIP tickets for Lisbon on social media as of a couple of days ago. I’m not sure about the app situation yet.

You should receive your e-tickets any day now. Try reloading the App and the tickets should populate. You also get a confirmation email that they are available.

I got my tickets today though See Tickets App, but I had to make sure that I created a profile for Portugal, not the USA.

Hi Sarah! I do not believe that there are fountains and can’t be sure that the water refill stations will be up and running during the concert. Worse comes to worse, you can fill your bottle at the sink in the restroom. Water in Portugal is safe to drink. If we’re lucky, the water refill stations will be set up.

Does anyone know if a regular point and shoot camera is allowed inside? I have a canon i bought especially for the eras tour 🙁

Hi Lotte, based on policies in place at the Eras Tour in other regions, we believe that small hand-held cameras and smartphones are permitted, but professional cameras (deemed as cameras with a telephoto lens, removable lenses, or any lens over 5 cm, etc.), video, and recording equipment are strictly forbidden.

Could I bring a portable fan with me to the venue?

A small portable fan that fits in your purse should be ok!

One of our favourite cities will soon be welcoming Miss Taylor Swift for two glittering shows on the European leg of her Eras Tour. That’s right, the next stop after her stint in Stockholm  (on May 17, 18 and 19) is Lisbon . 

So, Swifties of the Portuguese capital, your time has finally come. Here is absolutely everything you need to know about dates, timings, setlist and tickets for Mother’s two-night stint at Da Luz Stadium. Are you r eady for it?

In a nearly two-decade career, Taylor Swift had never performed in Portugal…until this weekend.

The superstar singer brought The Eras Tour to Lisbon for back-to-back, sold-out stops at Estádio da Luz in Portugal’s capital city. It was a weekend Swift said she won’t ever forget — and she’s already committed to coming back.

Swift, long praised for an authentic connection to her die-hard fans and for expressing gratitude for those who fill her arenas, delivered a pair of shows for Lisbon that those in attendance won’t soon forget either. When the Lisbon dates went on sale last July, tickets reportedly sold out within 2.5 hours. That’s a shorter amount of time than the concert itself, which kicked off at 8:15 p.m. and continued for three hours and fifteen minutes, ending with fireworks over the outdoor arena as she capped off the Midnights era with “Karma.”

The Eras Tour has been revamped for the European leg in the wake of Swift’s latest release, The Tortured Poets Department . She debuted songs from the album on the first European dates that kicked off earlier this month in Paris before continuing on to Stockholm and then Lisbon. But she saved one of the tracks, “Fresh Out the Slammer,” for a live debut in Lisbon during the surprise songs portion of the show.

“One of my favorite things about the Eras Tour is that, for me, it feels like going back through all of my favorite memories of getting to play shows for the last nearly 20 years of my life because we’ve gone on tour for almost every album I’ve ever put out,” Swift told the audience. “My big regret was that we didn’t get to take all of those tours to all of the places where I wanted to take them. And we absolutely should have come to Portugal on every single tour. This is not a mistake I will ever be making again. We are always going to come to Lisbon.”

Part of the reason for her early committal can surely be chalked up to how the crowd responded to seeing Swift for the first time in Portugal. The screams were, at times, deafening, and she received cheers for speaking Portuguese at several points during the show. (“Muito obrigada,” she said upon taking the stage; at two other points she asked for help by summoning security for distressed fans.)

Taylor Swift is about to go back on tour: Here's what to expect on the Eras Tour in Paris

After a two-month break, Taylor Swift is revitalizing her titanic Eras Tour in Paris, and fans believe there are changes coming to the show.

If you are wondering where she's playing, if there will be changes and how to score tickets, here's everything we know.

When does the Eras Tour start again?

Swift kicks off the European leg of her tour on Thursday, May 9, in Paris. She will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, as well, in the City of Light.

What are Taylor Swift's tour dates in Europe?

There are 69 shows left in the Eras Tour: 51 in Europe, nine in America and nine in Canada.

The European leg stretches from May all the way through a five-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London in mid-August.

The Eras Tour has featured a massive 45-song set list you can check out here . But speculation is swirling it won't look the same when Swift takes the stage in Paris.

Will Taylor Swift add 'The Tortured Poets Department' to her set list?

The tortured poet has been on hiatus keeping her stamina up by releasing a double album of 31 tracks. The 2-hours-and-2-minutes project broke a number of Billboard records as the superstar did zero press to promote it. Fans flocked to stores and streaming services to listen to all the songs from "Fortnight" to "The Manuscript."

Although the singer has not confirmed whether her 11th era album will be added to her Eras Tour set list, she did post a YouTube shorts video with two scenes that sent Easter egg decoders into a frenzy. In one of the shots, the singer is next to a railing where a "TTPD" logo appears to be (at 0:11). In the succeeding shot, her back-up dancers perform holding canes and wearing top hats, something they have not worn previously.

Swift's dancers and bandmates posted to their Instagram stories as they left for France last week. The singer did not appear at two media events with her boyfriend Travis Kelce: the Kentucky Derby and a Formula 1 race in Miami , Florida. Patrick Mahomes, Kelce's friend and Kansas City's quarterback, attended the car racing spectacular with his wife, Brittany.

Can I still get Eras Tour tickets?

Swift's show is completely sold out in Europe and North America. There are resale sites with tickets, but be wary of scams. The best way to avoid getting swindled is continuously checking links on Swift's website . There are some for resale on the sites verified by her camp.

Singapore was a hotbed for fans who traveled thousands of miles only to get turned away at the venue. In Tokyo and Australia, last-minute ticket drops happened a few days — without announcement — ahead of the shows.

Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis — the three U.S. cities Swift is visiting in the fall — have some of the heftiest price tags with Canada closely behind. Who are the opening acts?

Paramore launched the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, so it's fitting the American rock band is opening the tour's second year. The act will open for Swift for 51 shows across Europe . The band was dubbed the 2024 Record Store Day global ambassador and surprised fans in Nashville the weekend following the release of "The Tortured Poets Department."

When the tour comes back to North America in October , Swift's opening act will be Gracie Abrams.

Where can I watch if I don't have tickets?

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. A few Swifties have learned how to host their own shows over social media including Tess Bohne , known as the livestream queen. Bohne goes live for (almost) every show pulling streams from Instagram and TikTok. When a livestream goes down, she fills the time with banter.

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the three-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric , is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has played an acoustic set she customizes at each stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mashups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

There have been many rumors that Swift will continue her show in 2025, but they are only rumors. Nothing has been announced for next year, and as of now, the tour will end in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8.

Taylor Swift kicks off her European leg of 'Eras Tour.' Here's the full list of show dates

Taylor Swift has kicked off the European leg of her "Eras Tour" in Paris and Lisbon , but she just shared some exciting news for Swifties planning to attend her shows in London.

On May 27, the singer announced the first group of opening acts for her London shows on her Instagram story .

"I just found out Fortnight is #1 on the UK airplay chart!!!! You guys are amazing and I can’t wait to see you SO 🔜 !!" she began her message.

"Thought this might be a fun time to announce the first group of opening acts I’ll be adding to the London shows, going on before @paramore," she continued. "I chose artists whose music I love listening to, and I can’t wait for them to add an extra jolt of excitement to our shows at @wembleystadium in June. @mettenarrative, @wiffygriffy, and @bensonboone, welcome to The Eras Tour!! 🤍"

Swift's three London shows kick off Friday, June 21, at Wembley Stadium. Taylor Nation also shouted out Swift's "June openers," Mette, Griff and Benson Boone, in an Instagram post .

"Wembley Stadium, please welcome your June openers METTE, Griff, and Benson Boone to #LondonTSTheErasTour! See you in not so long, London. ☺️" the account wrote.

In August, the "So Long, London" singer will return to England's capital, where she will perform five shows again at Wembley Stadium between Aug. 15 and Aug. 20, before heading to the U.S. and Canada.

Fans are also excited about Swift's recent international shows, as the performer has incorporated songs from her latest album , "The Tortured Poets Department," which came out April 19, into her "Eras Tour" shows.

In June 2023, Swift announced a total of 50 international dates on social media and on her website .

How to get tickets to international shows on Taylor Swift’s 'Eras Tour'

The “Shake It Off” singer’s fan base infamously crashed Ticketmaster when they overcrowded the system while trying to buy tickets when they went live on Nov. 15, 2022. Since then, the platform has employed a new ticket purchasing process that has kept crashes at bay — so far.

The new purchasing multistep process first requires preregistration in order to be eligible for presales and regular sales. However, presales and registration are closed for all current international tour dates.

Fans who are interested in attending an international show can try purchasing tickets on reseller sites such as StubHub and SeatGeek.

The European leg of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is well underway, with the next stop being Lisbon, Portugal. The “Fortnight” singer will be playing back-to-back nights at Estádio da Luz, with Night 1 taking place on Friday, May 24, and Night 2 on Saturday, May 25.

Swifties who have seen the Grammy-winning artist’s “Eras Tour” shows on the European leg of the tour seem to be the lucky ones. Since Swift debuted the highly theatrical and equally captivating “Tortured Poets Department” era at the Paris Night 1 show, fans have been flocking to livestreams to catch the star’s tortured set. It’s better to watch it on a grainy livestream than miss out entirely, after all.

Another option is Swiftstream , though they’ve been pretty hit or miss during the European leg of “The Eras Tour.”

Taylor Swift is giving Swifties a warm greeting in Portugal!

The pop superstar, 34, surprised fans by speaking Portuguese at the opening of her first-ever show in Lisbon, Portugal, for her Eras tour on Friday, May 24. 

In a video posted from the concert by The Hollywood Reporter on X (formerly Twitter), Swift addressed the cheering crowd as she stood center stage at the Estádio da Luz stadium where she performed. 

“Muito obrigada,” she said as she placed her hand on her heart, which translates as “thank you very much" in English, causing the stadium to erupt in louder cheers. The singer then fanned herself as she continued to gaze at the crowd. 

“Oh, Lisbon you … you’re making me feel amazing right now!” Swift added, clutching her chest again before continuing the show.

Swift also spoke Portuguese elsewhere during the concert as she urged fans to be helped in the crowd, according to videos posted on social media.

While performing “The Smallest Man in the World” from her new album The Tortured Poets Department , Swift appeared to ask security for help while standing center stage as she said, “Ayuda por favor,” and pointed out to the crowd, according to a second clip posted by THR on X.

In another video posted on X by a fan account, Swift asked for help again as she said, "Ajuda por favor,” while playing the piano during her performance of “Champagne Problems.”

The singer’s concert debut in Portugal comes after a long wait from Portuguese fans. Swift was initially scheduled to perform in the country at the Alive festival in July 2020, which ended up being canceled due to the pandemic, per Portugal Resident . 

Swift was also seen in a photo posted on X from Friday’s concert unveiling an updated version of her Roberto Cavalli two-piece outfit for her “1989” performance as she wore a sparkly purple bralet this time with a sparkly blue mini skirt and blue and purple glittery boots. 

The singer has showcased several new outfits for the European leg of her Eras tour since her show in Paris on May 9. 

These include a custom white Vivienne Westwood gown featuring lyrics from her latest album TTPD , an orange Versace bodysuit and blazer and a yellow Alberta Ferretti dress.

Swift was also supported by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce , and friends Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper during the Paris leg of her Eras Tour. The trio attended her fourth show in Paris on May 12 .

Taylor Swift  kicked off her first ever Eras Tour concert in Lisbon, where she surprised fans speaking a little Portuguese.

The Tortured Poets Department singer took the stage Friday at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Portugal in her trademark shimmery outfit. She soaked up the roar from the boisterous crowd, prompting her jaw to drop at such an emphatic reception. At one point, it appeared as though she wiped away a happy tear. 

Swift giggled. Then, the big surprise. The 34-year-old singer dropped a line in Portuguese, much to everyone's surprise and roaring approval.

"Muito obrigada," said the songstress in video captured by The Hollywood Reporter , which translates in English to, "Thank you very much."

Once again, the crowd roared. Swift then expressed exactly how the crowd was making her feel.

"Oh, Lisbon youuuuuu ... you're making me feel amazing right now."

But Swift wasn't done just yet. In another video captured by The Hollywood Reporter , Swift spoke to a security guard in Portuguese saying, "Ayuda por favor (Please help)" as she directed a security guard to help a distressed fan in the crowd. Swift was in the middle of singing "The Smallest Man in the World" when she made the plea.

She made the same plea later in the concert, in video captured on social media , during her piano performance of "Champagne Problems."

Swift's concert in Portugal follows her pitstop in Sweden last weekend, where she suffered a wardrobe malfunction  -- and a broken mic! -- but handled the sitch like a true pro.

Swift could be seen on video at Friends Arena in Stockholm untying her entire dress onstage as she attempted to rectify a technical difficulty. She could be seen messing with the mic pack attached to the back of her costume during the surprise songs section of the show.

After telling fans that the device had "come undone," Swift jokingly asked the audience to "just talk amongst yourselves" for a moment. She then quickly moved to another part of he stage and took a seat at her piano while fully opening her blue wrap dress for better access to the mic pack. Underneath, Swift was still wearing her two piece costume from "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart," which came right before the surprise songs in her setlist. 

Eventually, a crew member came to Swift's aid to help get the situation under control. The "Fortnight" singer did a silly little dance as she re-attached her costume and went on with the show. 

Swift will be in Lisbon until Thursday before taking The Eras Tour to Lyon, France in early June.

Breaking Down Taylor Swift's Remaining ‘Eras Tour' Schedule

Taylor Swift 's three-hour Eras Tour setlist is no joke - and neither is her schedule.

After sold-out runs across the United States, South America, Mexico, Australia and Asia, Swift, 34, has a nearly two-month hiatus.

"We got to play 6 shows in Singapore for the most wonderful crowds - just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who traveled and put so much effort into being at our shows," Swift wrote via Instagram on Monday, March 10. "What an unforgettable way to end this leg of the tour!! See you in May when we get back to the Eras Tour !! In the meantime, I've got an album to release."

Swift will debut her 11th studio album , The Tortured Poets Department , on April 19 in the middle of her tour break. In addition to TTPD promo, Swift has been "nesting" with boyfriend Travis Kelce at her home in Los Angeles. (Kelce, 34, attended several shows in Argentina, Australia and Singapore during his NFL offseason and bye week.)

"They're focused on rest and recuperation and relaxing at home and having low-key and chill time together," a source exclusively told Us Weekly later in March. "They are enjoying movie nights in her home theater, catching up on films and shows they've missed. They can finally rest and intend on spending quality time together and with friends and family."

Swift's downtime will end in May when she says bonjour to France for the first show of the next leg of Eras. The European shows commence at Paris' La Défense Arena on Thursday, May 9, and run through Sunday, May 12. Paramore will return as the tour's opening act. After saying au revoir to the City of Lights, Swift will make her way to Sweden, Portugal, Spain, England and more.
