Penda Photo Tours – launches four new photo safari tours for 2024

Penda Photo Tours, a premier provider of African wildlife photography tours, is excited to announce the launch of four new photo safari tours for 2024. These tours are designed for both amateur and professional photographers who want to capture the breathtaking beauty of Africa’s wildlife.

The first tour, the new Tanzania Photo Safari, takes visitors to some of the best game reserves in Southern Tanzania, offering an opportunity to see wildlife without the crowds of North Tanzania. Led by renowned wildlife photographer (and UK ambassador for Fuji-Film) Alan Hewitt, this tour promises to be an unforgettable experience for all participants.

The second tour, the South African Photo Safari, is set in the beautiful Timbavati game reserve, also led by Alan Hewitt. This reserve is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the famous “Big Five” – lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos.

The third tour, the Uganda Photo Safari, is led by Emil Von Maltitz, an award-winning South African photographer. This tour takes visitors through Uganda’s varied landscapes, home to rare mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, and other primates.

The final tour, the Botswana Photo Safari in the Tuli Block, also led by Alan Hewitt, is a unique opportunity to explore Botswana’s rich wildlife in the country’s Tuli Block region.. The Tuli Block is home to a variety of wildlife species, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and elephants.

OUR DESTINATIONS

With its unique and enchanting natural landscapes, Iceland presents a stunning canvas for landscape photographers. The Nordic island is characterized by its geologic diversity, with the intertwining of its opposing features contributing to its reputation as The Land of Fire and Ice.

A photo tour in Iceland brings you to a winter escape with monumental glaciers carved with ice caves, breathtaking waterfalls, blue lagoons, and a soft transition into mystical forests, volcanoes, geothermal pools, and hot springs. To top it all off, the Icelandic night sky comes to life with the amazing Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. If you have a passion for landscape photography, then Iceland is one destination you don’t want to miss out on.

Iceland FAQs

May to June is a great time to visit Iceland for photography. In these months, daylight hours are the longest, which is often described as the Midnight Sun. This is the time to capture the extraordinary waterfalls of Iceland, as the Arctic country slowly seeps into a mystical spring.

If you want the allure of a winter wonderland and to photograph the famous northern lights that appear in Iceland, the best time to visit would be in January.

Depending on where you’re from, entry requirements to Ireland vary. Some countries do not need a visa to enter Iceland, but many other countries are required to apply for a short-stay visa. Please remember to do the proper research online and find out if you will need a visa or not.

In Iceland, you have the best chance to see the northern lights in the wintertime. This is the period, from September to April, when the nighttime darkness is at its longest, which allows for the Aurora Borealis to shine easily in the sky.

Iceland is a truly extraordinary place to visit because of the sheer abundance of natural beauty that spans the entire country. With its magnificent waterfalls, surreal lagoons, colossal glaciers, and volcanoes, Iceland has a diverse array of landscapes that offers a perfect canvas for photography.
