The Cast of 'Trolls World Tour' Is Loaded With Familiar Faces — See the Photos

The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2016 hit movie Trolls — starring Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick — has finally arrived. That's because Trolls World Tour officially dropped for everyone's streaming pleasure on April 10. (For rental, at least). Originally, the film was supposed to hit theaters at this time. But in response to movie theaters closing because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, families can now enjoy the movie from the comfort of their couches.

If you've already watched the second installment of the Trolls franchise, then you undoubtedly noticed a slew of brand new characters — along with some seriously familiar voices. Let's take a closer look at the Trolls World Tour cast, as well as photos of the actors behind behind the lovable new characters.

Poppy: Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick reprises her role as Poppy — Queen Poppy, leader of the pop trolls, that is — in Trolls World Tour . Will she learn to listen to those around her and become an amazing queen?

Branch: Justin Timberlake

The angelic voice of Justin Timberlake brings the grumpy, yet level-headed Branch to life in Trolls World Tour . This time around, however, Branch is also working through his feelings for Poppy.

Barb: Rachel Bloom

Rachel Bloom is a newcomer to the Trolls franchise, and she voices the queen of hard rock, Barb. If you ask us, she totally nails the part of the hardcore villain. (Her singing is on point, too!)

Biggie: James Corden

Just as he did in the original Trolls movie, James Corden plays the lovable Biggie in T rolls World Tour. He's the big, blue troll who is always has his pet/BFF, Mr. Dinkles, by his side.

Hickory: Sam Rockwell

Sam Rockwell is the voice behind Hickory in Trolls World Tour. You might recognize Sam as Captain Klenzendorf on J ojo Rabbit , or perhaps as Dixon on Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri .

Delta Dawn: Kelly Clarkson

We knew we recognized that voice! The leader of the country tolls, Delta Dawn, is voiced by Kelly Clarkson. And although his troll has an amazing voice and seems nice at first, viewers soon discovered she has a not-so-nice side, too.

Cooper: Ron Funches

Cooper is voiced by Ron Funches. (If Ron looks familiar, you might recognize him from the TV series Undateable .) This cupcake-pooping troll's four-legged physique always seemed a little out of place among his two-legged peers — and in Trolls World Tour, viewers finally find out why. It turns out, he's actually the son of King Quincy and Queen Essence.

Guy Diamond: Kunal Nayyar

Kunal Nayyar has returned for Trolls World Tour to reprise his role as the voice of Guy Diamond. Guy is everyone's favorite glittery, naked troll — and he goes through a major life change in this Trolls sequel. (Kunal is best known for his role as Raj on The Big Bang Theory .)

Tiny Diamond: Kenan Thompson

In Trolls World Tour , Guy Diamond "gives birth" to a baby via his hair — and Tiny Diamond is voiced by none other than Kenan Thompson. He's a hip-hop troll, and thanks to the talents of the SNL star, he's got a whole lotta personality going on.

Chaz: Jamie Dornan

Jamie Dornan is the voice of a smooth jazz troll named Chaz, who is a bounty hunter out to capture Poppy for Queen Barb. It makes sense that Poppy and Branch are totally enamored by his smooth jazz skills — and that Dornan is also the actor behind Christian Grey.

Satin and Chenille: Icona Pop

Fans first met Stain and Chenille in the original Trolls movie. These conjoined twin sisters — who are joined by their hair — are voiced by Icona Pop. More specifically, Caroline Hjelt is Chenille and Aino Jawo is Satin.

King Quincy: George Clinton

King Quincy is the ruler of the funk trolls — so who better to voice him than the legend of funk himself, George Clinton? King Quincy and his wife, Queen Essence, are the parents of Cooper and Prince D.

Queen Essence: Mary J. Blige

Queen Essence is voiced by Mary J. Blige, who rules alongside her husband, King Quincy, as leaders of the funk trolls in Trolls World Tour . And you can bet she's the one providing the queen's singing vocals, too.

King Thrash: Ozzy Osbourne

It's difficult not to see the similarities between King Thrash (Queen Barb's father) in Trolls World Tour and the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. As it turns out, Ozzy actually voiced him, too!

Prince D: Anderson Paak

Prince D is the son of King Quincy and Queen Essence — and he's voiced by award-winning musician Anderson Paak. Even cooler? Prince D is actually Cooper's twin brother.

King Trollex: Anthony Ramos

Anthony Ramos is the voice behind King Trollex, who is the leader of the techno trolls. He briefly appeared in A Star Is Born, if you can't quite figure out why he seems familiar to you.

King Peppy, Cloud Guy, Mr. Dinkles: Walt Dohrn

Walt Dohrn is a seriously multi-talented guy — because not only did he voice King Peppy, Cloud Guy, Mr. Dinkles, and a few other side characters, he also directed Trolls World Tour .

K-Pop Gang: Red Velvet

The K-Pop gang is a group of female trolls that represent the K-pop genre of music — and these ladies have got moves. They're based on/voiced by the Korean pop group Red Velvet.

TROLLS WORLD TOUR

The film starts with Cloud Guy (Walt Dohrn) recapping how Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) saved their world. What they don’t know yet is that there are other Troll islands besides theirs. We cut to the land of Techno Trolls, where King Trollex (Anthony Ramos) is leading a party to “One More Time”. The celebration is interrupted by the arrival of the Rock Trolls, led by Queen Barb (Rachel Bloom). She demands the string of the Techno Trolls, and when Trollex refuses to give it up, Barb plays a powerful rendition of “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, bringing destruction to the land. Trollex has no choice and gives up the string before she kidnaps him and the rest of the trolls.

On the Pop Troll island, Poppy is still having fun with her friends. Branch is struggling to tell Poppy how he really feels about her. The group gathers when Guy Diamond (Kunal Nayyar) is about to have a baby. He gives birth to Tiny Diamond (Kenan Thompson), who raps his introduction. After a whole song-and-dance session, a Rock Troll bat creature flies in with a message from Barb to Poppy, saying she would like her to bring her string for her Rock World Tour. King Peppy (also Walt Dohrn) panics and tries to cover things up until he’s forced to reveal to Poppy and the other Trolls that there are other Troll Islands. Long ago, the Troll ancestors came up with six different music groups – Pop, Rock, Techno, Classical, Funk, and Country. While they were all united, the Trolls started growing intolerant of each other’s music before the leaders of each group decided to take their strings and go their separate ways. Peppy and Branch are ready to hide all the other Trolls, but Poppy wants to take a chance and meet with Barb, despite the protests of the others.

That night, Poppy sneaks out to go on her journey on a hot air balloon, when she is caught by Branch. Although she appears set to go off on her own, Branch reluctantly joins her. Meanwhile, Cooper (Ron Funches) sees the book of the Troll ancestors and sees that one of them is a giraffe Troll like him. He sets off on his own to find his true family.

Barb returns to Rock Troll Island where she has a second string to add to her powerful guitar, with which she will use to unite the whole world…under ROCK. Her father is King Thrash (Ozzy Osbourne), who isn’t all quite there, but is still a firm believer in the power of rock.

On their ride over, Poppy and Branch find that Biggie (James Corden) and Mr. Dinkles (Kevin Michael Richardson) have stowed away after eating all the cotton candy that Poppy was saving for Barb. They arrive on the Classical Troll Island town of Symphonyville, which has been devastated by Barb and the Rock Trolls. The group finds Pennywhistle (Charlyne Yi), who tells Poppy that Barb came and overwhelmed their leader, Trollzart (Gustavo Dudamel), dismissing classical music as boring before stealing the Classical string and kidnapping Trollzart and the Classical Trolls. Poppy realizes Barb’s true intentions and decides she has to save the other Trolls before Barb destroys their world. Although Branch wants to go back, Poppy insists on continuing the journey, even having brought the Pop string with her. She pinky-promises Biggie that she will protect them, and a pinky promise for Trolls is powerful enough to send waves across the land. Pennywhistle stays behind the help rebuild the land.

Barb receives Poppy’s cute invitation (with glitter) to join forces and become best friends, which she takes as an insult. She decides to send out four sets of bounty hunters to go after her – Chaz, the Smooth Jazz Troll (Jamie Dornan), the Reggaeton Trolls led by Tresillo (J Balvin), the K-Pop gang (Red Velvet), and the Yodelers (who are absent). Barb promises them that if they capture Poppy, she will let them keep their own music on a small piece of land.

Poppy, Branch, and Biggie (and Mr. Dinkles) make it to the Country Troll Land town of Lonesome Flats, led by Delta Dawn (Kelly Clarkson). The Country Trolls sing a gloomy song, which Branch likes but Poppy thinks it means that they need to introduce them to the music they love. They do a medley of feel-good songs (“Wannabe,” “Who Let The Dogs Out,” “Gangnam Style”, and “Party Rock Anthem”), only to get thrown in jail. Delta tells them that they know about Barb and they are fine sticking to their own music without interference. As Branch starts to dig them out, they are freed by another Country Troll named Hickory (Sam Rockwell). He leads them on an escape, but Delta chases after them with her group before the heroes end up falling off a cliff into a river.

Hickory builds the group a raft to keep them going. Branch tells Poppy he doesn’t trust Hickory, but she thinks it just means he doesn’t trust her. They are then found by Chaz, who uses his Smooth Jazz powers to put Poppy, Branch, and Biggie in a trance. However, Hickory manages to block it out by putting gumdrops in his ears and then kicks Chaz into the river. Biggie freaks out and gets mad at Poppy for not being able to protect them, and he rides Mr. Dinkles back to the Pop Troll Island.

Cooper continues on his own journey, but he has been traveling for so long that he has started to hallucinate. Just when it looks like he’s ready to give up, an aircraft arrives and pulls him up inside.

The aircraft then finds Poppy, Branch, and Hickory, bringing them inside. It belongs to the Funk Trolls, where it is revealed that Cooper is a prince who was separated from his family when he was just an egg. His parents are King Quincy (George Clinton) and Queen Essence (Mary J. Blige), and his twin brother is Prince D (Anderson .Paak). When Poppy asks Quincy and Essence for their help in stopping Barb, they decline. Prince D tells Poppy through song the truth about what happened with the strings – it was the Pop Trolls who tried to take all the strings and tried to claim all of music as their own by remixing other types of music. The other Troll leaders grabbed their own strings and fled. Poppy tries to argue that differences in music and taste don’t matter, but the others think denying their differences means denying who they are. The Rock Trolls then start to attack, so the Funk Trolls try to fight back. Poppy, Branch, and Hickory are then ejected from the ship as Barb and her minions take over.

Poppy and Branch then argue as she is insistent on trying to continue the journey, but Branch tells her that she has been ignoring everyone who has been trying to tell her not to pursue this any further, and that a good queen would listen. Branch then goes off on his own, leaving Poppy behind. This leads them to sing on their own “Perfect For Me” as they quickly miss each other. Branch is then found by both the K-Pop Gang and the Reggaeton Trolls, who engage in a dance-off. Branch then convinces them that they don’t need to let Barb decide which music gets to be saved, and they decide to listen to him.

Poppy is found by Hickory, who reveals himself to have a partner, Dickory (Flula Borg). They are actually the Yodeler bounty hunters sent by Barb to get Poppy’s string, but Hickory actually feels bad about it. Barb then finds them and gets her hands on the string, now finally completing her mission.

Biggie and Mr. Dinkles return to their home, only to find that the Rock Trolls got there first. Guy, Tiny, Satin and Chenille (Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo), Smidge (also Walt Dohrn), and Legsly (Ester Dean) come out of hiding. Biggie feels bad for abandoning Poppy and resolves to round up his friends to go rescue her by using Rock Trolls disguises.

Barb keeps Poppy as a prisoner and reveals the pressure she feels to be a queen that everyone can follow, which Poppy can relate to. Her friends manage to sneak in as Barb’s back-up players. She presents the captured Troll leaders to the whole Rock Troll audience. Barb starts to perform “Barracuda” as she gets all the strings together to create the Ultimate Power Chord. Before she can unleash its true power, Branch and the other bounty hunters show up. Barb almost zaps Poppy with the Power Chord’s…power, before Branch jumps in and gets hit by it and turns into a Rock Zombie. She does the same to Trollex, Delta, Trollzart, Quincy and Essence before trying to hit Poppy with the Chord. She appears to become a Rock Zombie, and Barb tosses her the guitar to play rock until she reveals that she covered her ears with gumdrops. Poppy smashes the guitar, which destroys the strings and saps all the Trolls of their color. Barb blames Poppy for destroying all music, but Cooper grabs the mic and plays the music beating from within him. All the other Trolls from every clan start to join in, creating their own rhythm for the song “Just Sing”. Even Barb joins in, and all the Trolls make peace with the fact that they share different tunes. Poppy and Branch then express their love for one another.

Poppy and Branch later tell all the Troll children the new history of all Trolls and how they can appreciate each other’s differences.

Midway through the credits, the Bergens King Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Bridget (Zooey Deschanel) arrive too late and realize they missed the whole party.

Poppy and Branch learn that there are other Troll lands made up of other types of music. They live on the Pop Troll Island, while the others are Rock, Classical, Funk, Country, and Techno. Queen Barb of the Rock Trolls wants to collect the six strings from every Troll clan to make sure only rock music prevails. Poppy, Branch, and Biggie set off on an adventure to stop Barb from destroying other kinds of music. Meanwhile, Cooper sets off on his own journey after learning that there are other giraffe Trolls like him.

Poppy and her friends team up with a Country Troll named Hickory to stop Barb. They are found by the Funk Trolls, who are actually Cooper's real family. They reveal that it was the Pop Trolls who tried to claim all the music for themselves, forcing the other Troll leaders to take their strings and flee. Barb captures the Funk Trolls, and Poppy and Branch split up after he tells her that she won't listen to anyone who tries to tell her not to keep going. Hickory then turns out to be part of a Yodeler duo of Trolls who were sent by Barb to get Poppy's string. She then shows up and captures Poppy after succeeding in getting the other Trolls and their strings.

Barb puts on a rock show where she unites the strings to create the Ultimate Power Chord. Branch and the other Pop Trolls come to help Poppy, but Barb turns him and the other Troll leaders into Rock Zombies. She nearly does the same to Poppy, but she fakes it by covering her ears with gumdrops, and then destroys Barb's guitar, and also the strings. All the Trolls then create a unique sound with their own individual beats and rhythms. Barb joins in as well, and the Trolls all make peace.

The Trolls accept that their differences make them unique.

'Trolls Band Together' Cast: Everything to Know

Joining Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick in the star-studded cast include Camila Cabello, Eric André, Amy Schumer and more

Get ready to rock n' roll with the trolls!

Universal and DreamWorks' Trolls is making its colorful return to the big screen with a third installment of the beloved animated musical.

Titled Trolls Band Together , the Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick-led threequel is expected to revive the cute cartoon characters that fans of the franchise have come to know and love, while also introducing newcomers to the singsongy scene.

Among the stars reprising the roles alongside Timberlake (Branch) and Kendrick (Poppy) are Kenan Thompson, Anderson Paak, Zooey Deschanel , Kunal Nayyar, Aino Jawo — while newcomers include Camila Cabello , Zosia Mamet, Eric André and Amy Schumer .

Trolls Band Together marks a long-awaited follow-up to Trolls World Tour , the franchise's second film that premiered in 2020. Combined with the 2016's original Troll 's picture and the second installment, the jukebox musical franchise grossed over $396M worldwide to date.

With Walt Dohrn back on board to helm the third (after previously directing the first two installments), Trolls Band Together promises to pick up where Trolls 2 left off with Poppy and Branch as an official couple after their relationship went from friends to romance.

As the pair grows closer, Poppy learns of Branch's musical secret : he was once a member of her favorite boyband, BroZone, alongside his four brothers. When the unthinkable happens and Branch's bro Floyd is kidnapped, "Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity."

In addition to the animated acclaim the franchise received , the Trolls ' soundtrack has garnered critical recognition as well including Timberlake's Grammy for best song written for visual media in 2017 for his hit "Can't Stop The Feeling!" off the first album.

Fortunately for fans of the franchise, Trolls Band Together is slated to put forth new beats and bops eager ears are sure to enjoy — while also featuring plenty of boy-band callbacks and references , including nods to One Direction , Boyz II Men and Backstreet Boys (made all the funnier since *NSYNC alum Timberlake is a lead cast member!)

Justin Timberlake as Branch

Justin Timberlake returns to voice the role of Branch, an over-cautious paranoid survivalist with blue-grey skin and black hair who appeared in both 2016's Trolls and 2020's Trolls World Tour . Unlike the others, Branch is the only troll in the village who doesn't sing, dance or hug.

But, it only makes sense that the 10-time Grammy Award-winning artist's character learns to embrace all of the above over the course of the franchise. "Music is called the universal language for a reason," Timberlake previously said in a 2020 interview that took fans behind the scenes of the film. "It can make you feel just about anything."

In addition to leading the star-studded cast as a voice actor, Timberlake has served as executive music producer on the two projects — and Trolls Band Together is no different! In fact, he has plans on continuing his work on the franchise for many more sequels to come.

Back in 2020, Timberlake — who rose to fame as a member of *NSYNC — said during an Apple Music takeover that he hopes they make "seven Trolls movies because it literally is the gift that keeps on giving."

"You get to go to work and create something that's outside of how you see yourself as an artist," he said at the time. "And for me, it's interesting too being able to work in film as an actor and being able to work in music as a performer, singer, songwriter, producer, whatever — it's just one of those things that I just never thought those two worlds would mesh in an animated film."

Anna Kendrick as Poppy

Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick is reprising her role as Poppy, a super upbeat and responsible (yet slightly naive) troll with a light pink complexion and pastel locks who appeared in both 2016's Trolls and 2020's Trolls World Tour . Her dad is King Peppy, her friends are called The Snack Pack and her love interest is Branch.

Camila Cabello as Viva

Two-time Latin Grammy winner Camila Cabello is joining the Trolls cast as Viva, a new character in Trolls Band Together. Details on her role have yet to be revealed. Outside of her chart-topping music career, the "Bam Bam" singer famously starred in 2021's Cinderella, a modern adaptation of the classic tale.

Eric André as John Dory

Comedian André is joining the Trolls cast as a new character named John Dory, though little information about his role has been disclosed. While he's widely regarded for his eponymous show, the funnyman has acted in titles including Bad Trip , Sing 2 and 2 Broke Girls .

Amy Schumer as Velvet

Emmy Award-winner Amy Schumer is joining the Trolls cast as Velvet, a new character to be introduced in the third installment. While further details on her role will be announced at a later date, an official synopsis for Trolls Band Together hints that Velvet is a villainous troll who kidnaps Floyd — a major plot point in the film.

Prior to her Trolls debut, Schumer appeared on Last Comic Standing in 2007, created and starred in Inside Amy Schumer from 2013 to 2016 and made her film debut in Trainwreck in 2015.

Kid Cudi as Clay

Kid Cudi is joining the Trolls 3 cast as Clay, making his debut in the franchise's third installment. Although little information is known about his yellow-haired, blue-hued character, it's certain that Clay is a member of the BroZone.

BroZone was an elite boyband comprised of Branch and his four brothers: Floyd, John Dory, Spruce and Clay. The musical group hailed from the Pop Troll tribe. Despite the band's split, they still remain well known.

While Trolls 3 marks Cudi's franchise debut, he's no stranger to the music scene. The musician rose to fame after the release of his debut single "Day 'n' Nite" in 2008. Since then, he's gone on to release eight acclaimed albums — earning five Grammy nods and one win for his work. "All of the Lights," "Pursuit of Happiness" and "Man on the Moon" are among his countless hits.

In addition to music, Cudi has established himself as an actor under his real name Scott Mescudi. He most recently held a role in Adam McKay's Don't Look Up in 2021. Other titles Cudi has appeared in include HBO's We Are Who We Are , 2020's Westworld , 2019's Drunk Parents and Entourage in 2015.

Troye Sivan as Floyd

Troye Sivan is making his Trolls debut as Floyd in Trolls Band Together . While details remain murky on this pink-haired creature, it's clear that he's a member of BroZone along with his brothers.

In fact, Floyd is a crucial character in the franchise's third installment because the plot is centered around him! Though, the reason is not necessarily a good one because he's kidnapped for his musical talents. Branch and Poppy must — wait for it — band together to reunite the brothers and rescue Floyd.

Sivan is an Australian musician and actor who first gained popularity due to his YouTube presence and appearances on Australian singing competitions. He's gone on to release several albums and chart-topping singles, landing him on Time 's Most Influential Teens list in 2014 and a Golden Globe nomination in 2018 for "Revelation."

Outside of music, he's held acting roles in titles such as 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and 2022's Three Months .

Daveed Diggs as Spruce

Daveed Diggs makes his Trolls debut as Spruce in Trolls Band Together . Similar to his brothers, details on this purple-haired fellow remain uncertain at this time — but, he is for sure a member of the boyband phenomenon BroZone.

Prior to Trolls , Diggs is best known for his work in the Broadway hit Hamilton , where he originated the dual roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson — winning a 2016 Tony Award for best actor in a featured role in a musical. He also nabbed a Grammy win, along with the cast, for best musical theater album that same year.

In addition to his acting gigs — including Black-ish, Wonder and Velvet Buzzsaw — Diggs is the vocalist of the experimental hip-hop group Clipping.

Andrew Rannells as Veneer

Andrew Rannells is joining the Trolls 3 cast as Veneer. While little details are known about his troll's appearance, the film's official synopsis hints at his villainous personality!

Along with Schumer's Velvet, the nefarious Veneer is seemingly responsible for kidnapping Floyd, a pivotal plot point in the third installment. Because of this, Branch and Poppy must work together to reunite the BroZone and save Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity!

Zooey Deschanel as Bridget

Zooey Deschanel is returning to the colorful land of Trolls to voice the role of Bridget, who appeared in both the 2016 film and its sequel. Bridget, also known as Lady Glittersparkles, channels that of a 1970s diva — at one point rocking platform heels, a groovy bellbottom jumpsuit, a shiny belt and a voluptuous (rainbow-dyed) hairdo.

Nicknamed "Idget" by Chef, Bridget is a former scullery maid at Bergen Castle who has a secret crush on King Gristle Jr. Though sweet and kindhearted, the pink troll lacks confidence at first — but thanks to Poppy and The Snack Pack, she learns to find it within herself.

Deschanel is known for her roles across television and film, notably earning an Emmy nomination and three Golden Globe nods for her work in New Girl. In addition to Trolls , Deschanel has starred in titles including The Good Girl , 500 Days of Summer , Elf , Yes Man and Almost Famous .

Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Gristle Jr.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse plays Gristle Jr. in Trolls Band Together , reprising his troll role from both the first and second installments. This plump, green-skinned creature with bright coordinating hair is the prince-turned-King of the Bergen Monsters.

After inheriting the crown from his father, Gristle Sr., at a young age, Gristle Jr. pledges to bring happiness back to Bergen Town. He's known for his rap rhymes, rollerskating skills and his romantic feelings toward Bridget.

Prior to his voice role in Trolls , Mintz-Plasse famously made his film debut as Fogell (McLovin) in 2007's Superbad . His other notable titles include 2008's Role Models , 2010's Kick-Ass (and its 2013 sequel) and the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.

Aino Jawo as Satin and Caroline Hjelt as Chenille

Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt of Icona Pop are returning as Satin and Chenille, respectively, in Trolls 3 . Having appeared throughout the franchise, these fashion-forward twins (unforgettably conjoined by their cotton-candy colored hair) are both members of The Snack Pack.

Though similar appearances, these troll twins are not identical. Satin has pastel pink hair, while Chenille has a lavender-blue complexion. Their outfits are the same, though one wears her dress upside down! Despite sharing commonalities, their personalities are very much different and they often disagree.

Outside of appearing in the Trolls threequel, Jawo and Hjelt are widely known for their musical careers as Swedish electropop-duo Icona Pop. Since forming in 2009, some of their chart-topping hits include "I Love It" and "All Night."

Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond

Kunal Nayyar returns as Guy Diamond in Trolls 3 , after appearing in the first two installments. The sparkly silver-skinned troll, recognized by his autotune-sounding voice, is a Glitter Troll and a member of The Snack Pack.

Known for his bubbly, in-your-face personality, Guy is the life of the party. His infectious energy rubs off on everyone around him, just like the sparkles on his body! He is one of Poppy's best friends.

In addition to Trolls , Nayyar is known for playing Raj Koothrappali on CBS's sitcom, The Big Bang Theory . Other notable titles the British actor has appeared in include Nickelodeon's Sanjay and Craig , 2012's Ice Age: Continental Drift and 2014's The Scribbler .

Ron Funches as Cooper

Ron Funches returns as Cooper, reprising his role from both Trolls and Trolls World Tour . Also known by Prince Cooper, this long-necked creature is the twin of Prince D, a member of the Funky Family and The Snack Pack.

Self-titled Classy McFancington, Cooper looks different than most trolls — particularly because of his four blue legs, striped fur and wooly hair that doesn't stick up like most in Troll Village. Cooper stands out for his wild dance moves, crazy harmonica skills and upbeat personality.

In addition to Trolls , Funches has appeared in several titles including NBC's Undateable , ABC's Black-ish , and most recently, the Tom Brady -focused 80 for Brady . The comedian also voiced a number of roles in series like The Adventures of Puss in Boots , Adventure Time and DC Comics series Harley Quinn .

Anderson .Paak as Prince D.

Anderson .Paak is reprising his role as Prince Darnell in Trolls Band Together after first appearing in Trolls World Tour . Simply nicknamed D, this goofy-looking troll is a twin and the son of King Quincy.

Recognized by his tinsel-enhanced long neck and pinked-hued appearance, Prince D is known for his super chill and laid-back personality — especially in comparison to his brother, Cooper. He's a friendly and accepting troll, who has a taste for both funk and hip-hop music.

In addition to his work on Trolls , Anderson .Paak is a successful musician who released his first mixtape in 2012 and won his first Grammy Award for best rap for his song "Bubblin" in 2019 (and two more at the 2020 ceremony). In 2021, he formed the duo Silk Sonic with artist Bruno Mars , winning four more Grammys including record of the year and song of the year.

Kenan Thompson as Tiny Diamond

Kenan Thompson is returning to voice the role of Tiny Diamond, following his debut in Trolls World Tour . Nicknamed Tiny Twinkle, this blinged-out creature is the son of Guy Diamond and a member of The Snack Pack.

Known for his sparkly-silver skin, glittery metallic hair and giant yellow lenses, Tiny Diamond's personality is anything but... tiny. Though a baby, the prideful troll acts like a mixture of mature and immature. Due to his cute size, he's adored by many — particularly Poppy.

Trolls aside, Thompson is widely known for his longstanding tenure on NBC's sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live . Other notable titles the comedian has starred in include All That , Kenan & Kel , Good Burger and The Might Ducks franchise.

Justin Timberlake - Branch

Unlike his love interest, Queen Poppy, Branch is a cautious and more grounded Pop Troll who spent much of his life mastering different survival skills before embracing song and dance with the Trolls. The character is brought to life by the singer/dancer/actor/everything Justin Timberlake, who requires no further introduction.

James Corden - Biggie

With a heart as large as his stature, Biggie is a tall and round blue Pop Troll who joins Poppy and Branch on their different adventures. Voiced by everyone's favorite carpool karaoke enthusiast James Corden, this lovable character is nothing but bounds and bounds of fun and joy.

Kevin Michael Richardson - Mr. Dinkles

You couldn't have Biggie without his best friend Mr. Dinkles, a small worm who uses a squeaky "mew" sound to communicate instead of using words. Mr. Dinkles is voiced by acclaimed voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson, whose list of credits includes shows like Samurai Jack , The Batman , and Rick And Morty to name just three of his scores of roles.

Kunal Nayyar - Guy Diamond

Guy Diamond is the glittery silver Pop Troll we all came to know and love in Trolls . The so-called "Life Of The Party," Guy Diamond has an auto-tuned voice and is full of himself more than any other troll. Keenan Thompson - Tiny Diamond

The son, or at least tiny version of Guy Diamond, Tiny Diamond is a small, silver and glittery Pop Troll with a deep voice and moves like none other. He is brought alive by Keenan Thompson, who you might remember as the longest-running cast member of Saturday Night Live .

Rachel Bloom - Queen Barb

Queen Barb is the main antagonist in Trolls World Tour . The leader of the Rock Trolls, Barb sets out to capture the five strings and destroy all other forms of music played by the other troll tribes. Queen Barb is voiced by Rachel Bloom, who is best known for co-creating and starring in the CW series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend .

Sam Rockwell - Hickory

With all the different trolls being introduced in Trolls World Tour , it should come as no surprise there would be a Smooth Jazz Troll by the name of Chaz. Part musician and part bounty hunter, Chaz is a character no one will be forgetting for a long time. This could be thanks to the fact that he's voiced by Jamie Dornan , aka Christian Grey.

Icona Pop - Satin And Chenille

Satin and Chenille are conjoined twins connected by their blue and pink hair. Like any good set of twins in an animated movie, Satin and Chenille can't seem to agree on anything. The twins are voiced by Icona Pop (Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt).

George Clinton - King Quincy

Along with Queen Essence, King Quincy rules over the Funk Trolls. King Quincy is brought to life by the living legend of funk music himself, George Clinton.

Mary J. Blige - Queen Essence

Just like her husband, King Quincy, Queen Essence is the leader of the tribe of Funk Trolls in Trolls World Tour . This funky troll is voiced by Mary J. Blige, who also provides sweet vocals for the leader of the Funk Trolls.

Ozzy Osbourne - King Thrash

King Thrash inadvertently gets everything going in Trolls World Tour when he gives his daughter, Queen Barb the idea of collecting the other five strings. This character is voiced by the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne.

Anderson Paak - Prince D

The son of King Quincy and Queen Essence, Prince D is one of the most accepting characters in Trolls World Tour and is very encouraging to just about everyone, including his twin brother, Cooper. Prince D is voiced by award-winning musician Anderson Paak.

Ron Funches - Cooper

Cooper is the fun-loving fuzzy son of King Quincy and Queen Essence that looks more like a giraffe than anything else. With a long neck and four legs, Cooper is definitely one of the strangest member of the Trolls cast appearing for the sequel. Voiced by Ron Funches, who you might remember the television series Undateable .

Kelly Clarkson - Delta Dawn

Delta Dawn is the leader of the Country Trolls who seems nice at first, but turns out to be anything but. She is voiced by Kelly Clarkson .

Red Velvet - K-Pop Gang

The K-Pop gang are a group of female K-Pop Trolls who are nearly identical save for their hair and outfits. They are based off and voiced by the Korean pop group Red Velvet.

Anthony Ramos - King Trollex

King Trollex is the leader of the Techno Trolls and looks like something out of a pixilated rave than he does a traditional troll. This high-energy neon troll is voiced by singer and actor Anthony Ramos, who you might remember from his brief appearance in A Star Is Born .

The McElroy Brothers - Skyscraper

Skyscraper is rather unique Pop Troll that has four heads that talk in unison. They are voiced by the McElroy Brothers.

‘Trolls Band Together’ Cast and Character Guide: Who Plays Who? | Photos

“Trolls Band Together” — the latest entry in DreamWorks Animation’s family friendly franchise — brings together some of the biggest names in movies and music.

Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick reprise their roles from the previous “Trolls” films as Branch and Poppy, respectively. The two are now officially a couple, but when Branch’s boyband past comes back to haunt him, the Trolls embark on another music- and fun-filled adventure.

Justin Timberlake as Branch

Branch is a Pop Troll and Poppy’s boyfriend. Branch was the youngest member of the pop band BroZone, where he went by the name Bitty B.

Timberlake is best known for being a member of the boy band NSYNC before embarking on a solo career. His film credits include “The Social Network,” “Alpha Dog,” “In Time,” and the two previous films in this franchise, “Trolls” and “Trolls World Tour.”

Anna Kendrick as Poppy

Poppy is Branch’s always optimistic girlfriend and the daughter of King Peppy. She is the Queen of the Pop Trolls.

Kendrick has acted and sung in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise. She made her film debut in the musical comedy “Camp,” and was nominated for an Oscar for her role in “Up in the Air.”

Eric André as John Dory

The eldest member and leader of BroZone, John Dory tracks down his baby brother Branch in order to reunite the band and rescue Floyd.

André is best known for his eponymous comedy “The Eric André Show” on Adult Swim. He’s also voiced Azizi in “The Lion King” remake. As a singer, he performed under the stage name Blarf.

Daveed Diggs as Spruce

Spruce is second eldest brother and heartthrob of BroZone who still loves a puffer vest but no longer has his six-pack.

Diggs is an actor, rapper and singer who originated the roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the musical “Hamilton.” He recently voiced Sebastian the Crab in “The Little Mermaid” remake and starred in the film “Blindspotting.”

Kid Cudi as Clay

Clay is the middle brother in BroZone and dubbed The Fun Boy. He choreographs the group’s routines.

Kid Cudi, the stage name of Scott Mescudi, is a rapper who’s self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock Album chart in 2012. Cudi has made numerous on-screen cameos as himself (“Killing Hasslehoff,” “Bill & Ted Face the Music”) and acted in “Need for Speed,” “X” and more.

Troye Sivan as Floyd

Floyd is the second youngest member of BroZone and dubbed The Sensitive One. He was the only one of Branch’s brothers to not rage quit the band after an on-stage mishap.

Sivan is a pop star behind one of the biggest dance hits of Summer 2023, “Rush.” He also starred in “The Idol” and “Boy Erased.”

Camila Cabello as Viva

Viva is the leader of a lost band of Pop Trolls (along with Clay). She has a special connection with Poppy.

Cabello was a founding member of the girl group Fifth Harmony before branching out on her own. She played the lead in the “Cinderella” film.

Amy Schumer as Velvet

Velvet is a marginally talented singer and sister of Veneer. She kidnaps Floyd and siphons his talent before her performances.

Amy Schumer is best known for her comedic turns in “Trainwreck,” “I Feel Pretty” and “Inside Amy Schumer.”

Andrew Rannells as Veneer

Veneer is the less fame-hungry brother of Velvet and actually has a conscience. He feels bad about kidnapping the trolls but goes along with his more domineering sister’s plans.

Rannells is a star of the stage and screen, appearing in “The Book of Mormon,” “Falsettos” and “The Boys In the Band.” He also starred in HBO’s “Girls.”

Zosia Mamet as Crimp

Crimp is the overworked and undervalued assistant of Velvet and Veneer. She is often put down by Velvet and occasionally trapped in a closet.

Like Rannells, Mamet also starred in “Girls,” playing Shoshanna. She more recently appeared in “The Flight Attendant.”

Zooey Deschanel as Bridget

Bridget is the former maid at Bergen castle. She and Gristle Jr. wed at the beginning of “Trolls Band Together,” making her a queen. She is Poppy’s best friend.

Zooey Deschanel is best known for her role on “New Girl.”

Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Gristle Jr.

Gristle Jr. is the king of the Bergens, the former foes of the trolls. He weds Bridget in the opening of the film.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse rose to fame as McLovin in “Superbad.”

RuPaul Charles as Miss Maxine

Miss Maxine weds King Gristle Jr. and Bridget before their ceremony is interrupted by an unexpected visitor.

RuPaul Charles is a singer, actor and host/judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond

Guy Diamond is a sparkly Glitter Troll and friends with Poppy. He fancies himself as the life of the party.

Kunal Nayyar played Rajesh Koothrappali on the hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” for 12 years.

Kenan Thompson as Tiny Diamond

Tiny Diamond is the young son of Guy Diamond who wants to explore the world. Like his father, he is a Glitter Troll and has a very deep voice despite his age.

Kenan Thompson is a long-running player on “Saturday Night Live.”

NSYNC as Kismet

Kismet is the boyband that Branch joined after BroZone disbanded. Its members also included Ablaze (Joey Fatone), Hype (JC Chasez), Boom (Lanch Bass) and Trickee (Chris Kirkpatrick).

NSYNC was a chart-topping boyband in the late ’90s and ’00s. Before NSYNC, the band’s original name was Kismet. The band reunited to release their first single in 20 years for the film called “Better Place.”

Appearance [ ]

Tiny is a miniature version of his father Guy Diamond. Thus like his father he was born a Glitter Troll. He is a silver-coloured glitter troll that as his name suggests means his is covered in metallic glitter, he has metallic hair in addition.

Despite being a baby, his vocal is deep for his age, being a bass/baritone vocal inside of the expected pitch and tone for a baby Troll. He likes to wear large yellow-tinted glasses with a black frame, as well as a diamond earring in each ear. Some people can see a glint of sparkle in his hair.

Tiny's model and appearance is different from all other "baby" designs/models thus far in the series. This is apparent when comparing it to baby Poppy's/Keith's model.

Personality [ ]

Despite his size, Tiny is a prideful troll, much like his father, but still has traits of a baby, despite his deep voice. He's also slightly hypocritical, as he wants to prove he's a man, but constantly wants to be carried, and carries a pacifier candy with him everywhere. He does show care towards the ones he loves, like his father. He also looks up to both Poppy and Branch and sees them as surrogate parents in a way in the third movie, refusing to let them go on a mission alone after Branch blew up at his brothers.

Trolls: World Tour [ ]

Tiny has a small role in his debut. He first appears during his birth when his egg emerges out of his father's hair. The egg hatches and Tiny immedietly begins rapping during their opening song number. He later joins his father and the rest of The Snack Pack when they hear that Barb is planning on attacking Poppy. He sings a verse in the "Just Sing" sequence. He appears at the end when Poppy and Branch are reading to the trollings from the other tribes, saying that now that he's done with his nap, that it's time to party, before dumping a toy truck full of glitter.

Character Concept History [ ]

Guy's appearance is a nod to the design of the 1960s Troll Dolls , sans clothes. Guy had a number of color concepts that were rejected before the designers settled on a silver color. He originally had a pink nose, but DreamWorks changed it to light green in the final version of his model. [1]

The glasses of Guy's "Rock" disguise in Trolls World Tour are likely based on those worn by Buddy Holly .

3D Story [ ]

Guy Diamond first appears when Princess Poppy is handing out her invitations to her celebration party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Trolls' escape from Bergen Town on the last Trollstice . He was one of the members of The Snack Pack who criticized Branch for his paranoia over the Bergens finding them due to the party.

During the party, Guy was one of the first members of the Snack Pack to be taken by Chef when she found the Trolls.

He's taken to Bergen Castle with the other members of the Snack Pack, and put inside a cage in preparation for the return of Trollstice. As a demonstration of Chef's confidence, she force-feeds Creek to King Gristle Jr. , much to the horror of the group. Chef then hands the caged Trolls to Bridget, telling her to keep them safe.

Poppy and Branch show up to rescue them, and stop Bridget from recapturing them after they were freed. Poppy managed to convince Bridget for her cooperation.

The Snack Pack then tries to glossy up Bridget and make her shine under the name of "Lady Glittersparkles". During a date with Gristle, it is revealed that Creek is still alive. When attempting to rescue Creek, they are recaptured and Creek reveals he has agreed to help Chef find the other Trolls.

All the Trolls in Troll Village are captured and thrown in a pot. During the time, Poppy loses her colors and becomes grey like Branch, with the same thing happening to all the other Trolls. While in the pot, Branch sings to make Poppy happy, which brings back her colors and in turn reveals his "true colors". The village slowly regains their colors out of joy of witnessing the two gain theirs.

Bridget frees the Trolls, willing to sacrifice herself for their sakes, and goes off to present the empty pot to the other Bergens. Poppy makes sure the other Trolls in the village are safe, and then the group goes back to save Bridget. They jump on her head and remake the "Lady Glittersparkles" wig. Gristle is convinced to not eat Trolls, which leads to a celebration between the Trolls and Bergens.

Trolls Holiday [ ]

Guy Diamond is part of the team that jumps out and startles Branch in his bunker when Poppy gets him aboard with her plan. During the presentation to King Gristle Jr. and Bridget, Guy was on glitter duty.

Trolls World Tour [ ]

In Trolls World Tour , Guy is first seen going into labor, producing a silver egg from which Tiny Diamond emerges. He's present when King Peppy explains the existence of other Troll Tribes, upset alongside his son about them not understanding the concept of "Hammertime". Peppy explains Queen Barb is after the other Tribes' Strings , including the Pop string, which powers their "Pop" music.

Later when Poppy, Branch and Biggie left the village on Poppy's mission, Guy and the other Pop Trolls were attacked. Barb and her Rock Trolls destroyed the village, and took all the Pop Trolls except him, his son, Satin & Chenille and Legsly . All of them managed to hide from the Rock Trolls in time. They reveal themselves to Biggie as he arrives.

The group decide to go rescue Poppy, as Biggie regrets abandoning her during the mission. The twins suggest they use fashion to infiltrate the Rock Trolls. Despite the outfits being incorrect, the group not only fool two Rock Trolls (one of them being Sid Fret ), but also end up on stage with Barb as her backup band. They are left helpless and unable to save Poppy, and can only watch as Barb converts Branch, who saves Poppy, into a Rock Zombie, and then proceeding to convert every Troll Tribe leader after him.

After Poppy destroyed the Strings, the Trolls eventually realize that they no longer need them to make music. Guy and Tiny are seen singing with all the other Trolls as the music returns to them.

In the post-movie credits, Guy successfully teaches Tiny how to spin and flip in the air.

Trolls: Holiday in Harmony [ ]

Guy appears at the beginning of the special with Tiny seeing Poppy and Branch drop off invitations the first gift swap with Tiny getting his father's name. Later, Guy looks for Tiny, who left to find inspiration for his gift. Later, Guy is seen at the end of the special during Together Now , loving Tiny's gift for him.

Trolls Band Together [ ]

Guy is one of the attendees at King Gristle Jr. and Bridget 's wedding. He is overjoyed to have Tiny Diamond be the wedding's flower boy. He later wishes Poppy and Branch good luck in rescuing Floyd .

DreamWorks Drops ‘Trolls Band Together’ Trailer

Poppy, Branch, and of course, Tiny Diamond are just a few of the iconic Trolls heading back to theaters this November 17, as they uncover a big secret from the past that leads to an emotional journey to rescue and reunite a family, in the next installment of the glittery, bedazzling, and almost always happy franchise.

Glitter, hugs, bold colors and… a boyband? are headed to theaters November 17 in DreamWorks Animation ’s Trolls Band Together , the third installment in the studio’s hit Trolls feature film franchise. Check out the first trailer and images below.

According to DreamWorks, after two films of true friendship and relentless flirting… finally, Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) are now officially, a couple. As they grow closer, Poppy discovers that Branch has a secret past. He was once part of her favorite boyband phenomenon, BroZone, with his four brothers: Floyd (Golden Globe nominated electropop sensation Troye Sivan), John Dory (Eric André; Sing 2 ), Spruce (Grammy winner Daveed Diggs; Hamilton ) and Clay (Grammy winner Kid Cudi; Don’t Look Up ). BroZone disbanded when Branch was still a baby, as did the family, and Branch hasn’t seen his brothers since. 

But when Branch’s bro Floyd is kidnapped for his musical talents by a pair of nefarious pop-star villains—Velvet (Emmy winner Amy Schumer; Trainwreck ) and Veneer (Grammy winner and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells; The Book of Mormon )—Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity.

The film stars Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake, who return as Poppy and Branch. Also returning are Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Zooey Deschanel as Bridget; Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Gristle; the Icona Pop duo Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt as Satin and Chenille; Grammy winner Anderson .Paak as Prince D; comedian Ron Funches as Cooper; SAG nominee Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond; and Emmy-winning Saturday Night Live legend Kenan Thompson as Tiny Diamond.

Also returning are director Walt Dohrn and producer Gina Shay, joined by co-director Tim Heitz (head of story, Trolls World Tour ). Additional cast includes Camila Cabello; Eric André; Amy Schumer; Andrew Rannells; Troye Sivan; Daveed Diggs; Kid Cudi; Zosia Mamet; and RuPaul Charles.

Dorhn and Shay’s last film, Trolls World Tour , was released April 10, 2020, right as the pandemic took hold; their vibrant, colorful musical extravaganza missed a richly deserved theatrical release. “This film is designed to be seen in a theater,” Dohrn says. “It's designed to be seen like a concert experience, with all the music, so the fuzzy immersion of the Trolls’ world can just wash over you. Not to mention just the collective kind of joy you feel when you’re laughing with an audience. That’s so much part of the fun!”

“The collective spontaneous dance party!” Shay laughs.

Trolls Band Together will take audiences to new Trolls worlds, with new characters and creatures. “In this new Trolls universe, we're able to play with all kinds of new textures and surfaces and take you to places you've never even seen before,” says Dohrn. “That’s really exciting, to push the existing visual signature as well as push beyond it. Plus, we go back to Bergen Town from the first film. We get to re-explore that world and how it has changed, how their ideology has changed, since they don't eat Trolls anymore. What does that world look like? How have those characters been affected?”

And, as we’ve seen in the trailer, we get to witness Dohrn’s character, Cloud Guy, share a rather artsy rainbow barf. “Very classy cinema,” he laughs. “Thank you. Well, there's a royal wedding, there had to be a bachelor party of some sorts. And of course, Cloud Guy overdoes it.”

But on a more serious note, both Dohrn and Shay explain that the film explores how we deal with issues and experiences that aren’t necessarily happy, that we don’t always want to share or address. Especially when they involve family. “We deal with interpersonal relationships that are very close, stuff that we don't talk about, that we tamp down,” Shay shares, “that we really should and need to talk about for everyone's mental health.” Dohrn adds, “One thing we wanted to put in the movie is this idea of toxic positivity. We thought it would be really fun in a Trolls movie, which is all about the power of optimism. But we also wanted to get underneath that, and it's like, ‘Sometimes we just put positive thoughts on so we don't have to deal with the negative stuff.’ So, this movie really talks about that, how to strike a balance between those things.”

Trolls Band Together bops into theaters this coming November 17.
