This is not necessarily a review of Garth’s performance as much as it is a review of the venue. The sound quality inside U.S. Bank Stadium was not the best. I think an outdoor venue, or at least a venue with an open roof, would have been a better choice. I am fully aware that the venue was not made for concerts, but if concert planners are going to start using football stadiums as concert venues, then the sound quality should be considered before booking events, in my opinion. Garth himself was wonderful!

there are 3 artists that i wanted my kids to see they loved Prince and liked Michael and Garth. had tickets to Prince concert it was 3 weeks after he died my kids had gotten them for my bday which was weekend he passed. I was lucky as hell back when MTV was real music tv and ewas cool not the piece crap it is now when they had contests and shit. I lived in Gillette wyoming and was dating a girl who was friends with this chick from Sheridan and was lucky as hell won contest to have Prince come to her town for the release of Purple Rain and i got to go with the chick i was sleeping with. (i was totally fixing blow her off the day i heard on tv and she called and told me i was going with her) went to sheridan and met him he wasnt as reclusive then as in later years and he was there meet people but he didnt talk to many when Jesse Johnson introduced us he told Prince I was totally a brother somehow trapped in white mans body. he spent atleast 20 minutes there with us and Morris jopined us. I told Prince he was my Idol clear back then and he was interested in how in redneck country i heard his earlier albums told him my brother was black and gaved me all his albums. we had little clique there of 6 guys we called ourseklves the time and had our own names and told him and Morris and they were like maybe everyone in wyoming were hicks. so i totally wanted my kids see him and i never got to see Michael so wanted us go together but Garth believe it or not with No Fences he was his first tour with the Judds and my band Steelwheel had released our album 8 months before Garth and we were Opening for Judds on a 24 date cebtral and northwestern U.S. leg of their tour and Garth opened for us and watching him which i did more every concert so much so few times i had to get help setting up and tuning my set. he was so freaking awesome even back then i told him after 2 nd week that he wouldnt be opening for anyone very long he would be the main artists on his next tour and he was so humble he was like i dont think it be that soon maybe 4th album and i told him he was the first performer i had seen in longtime (told him my goddfather Alice Cooper only one i knew put on a show and thatr he was giving him competiton)tghat cared about the fans and did his best to make everyone feel like they had seen a show and that he did with a much smaller space than shoulda been possible. and he said thanks and that if he did make it big that i would always have tickets to his show and that i just needed to tell whoever was at door that hoss was here with message from his (mom but had to tell them her middle name which i wont say he outa respect but i seen him 4 times after first was his first headling concert and true to his word he had Betty come get me and i was backstage at the 4 concerts and twice in vegas. and my son is a Beatles and hip hop fan but Garth one his favorites and daughter is AC/DC and metal fan but same with Garth and they both loved Prince and we missed Michael and have tickets to the concert Prince was going to do 3 weeks after he died in Minneappolis but i have not gotten them to the Last True Pwerformer of Modern age Garth and i will do whatever it takes to make sure they see him before anything happens to any of us. told them there was Michael , Prince. George, Johnny Merle and Waylon and Garth that were true artists and were Heaven sent to make us happy and of all my heroes Garth last one alive and i will get my kids to see his show cause he puts on a show that even Alice has to take second to and theres never been anyone or never will there be again like him . He and Prince were and are i swear on all i believe are true angels from heaven and God missed Prince and sooner or later hesgonna want his other angel back.

I’ve seen Garth twice before the HLSR show last night. Once when he was an opening act and second just after Friends in Low Places came out. Both of those shows were great, but last nights show was different. Garth seemed like a little kid enjoying every moment. I was working the show for CSC and watching our guest face and reactions were priceless. All I can say is WELCOME BACK GARTH. Oh one more thing, wanna know where was Ty England? I missed him last night.

Garth Brooks Announces 2023 Las Vegas Residency After Wrapping Stadium Tour — See the Dates!

"I'm going to be like a guy at a buffet with two forks and if you're in that crowd, I'm going to eat you alive," Brooks told Billboard of his upcoming residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace

The country superstar, 60, announced a new headlining Las Vegas residency on Monday that'll take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Starting in May 2023, Brooks will launch Garth Brooks/Plus ONE, a series of shows that will be different each night thanks to varying band members and a few special guests. He'll play 27 dates from May through December 2023.

"Vegas is the place where anything goes, and The Colosseum at Caesars is the heart of Vegas," Brooks said in a statement. "The perfect combination to present a show that will not only push the envelope, it's gonna shred it."

The "Friends in Low Places" singer— who wrapped a massive, three-and-a-half year stadium tour in September — explained on Good Morning America that he'll have his band in tow, but not always on stage with him to keep things interesting.

"The band is coming, but it's the one-man show," he said. "They're going to sit in the audience. So at any time you want a fiddle just to come up and join you, any time you just want percussion and background to come up and sing or it's just you — or just bring the whole band up to do 'Friends in Low Places'... this should be stupid."

When asked if wife Trisha Yearwood would be joining him on stage at any point, Brooks said she would "of course" be there as a special guest.

"I think they'd actually meet me with a noose out at the bus if I didn't bring Miss Yearwood," he said. "Everybody loves her and they should, so I'm hoping she's gonna make some trips with us."

Garth Brooks/Plus ONE marks the musician's second Las Vegas residency following Garth at Wynn, which ran from 2009 through 2014. "It's something I've been lucky enough to get to do before, so this is like the second round," he told Billboard in a new interview. "And this time, I'm going to be like a guy at a buffet with two forks and if you're in that crowd, I'm going to eat you alive."

In connection with the residency announcement, Brooks is also releasing a box set called Garth Brooks LIVE LIVE , which includes a custom book with live photos and five discs containing more than 50 live recordings and newly released recordings.

"Having Garth Brooks, one of the greatest of all time, bring his tremendous talent and an entirely new show to The Colosseum only adds to the remarkable legacy of Caesars Palace," Anthony Carano, President and Chief Operating Officer for Caesars Entertainment, said in a statement. "We are confident that Garth Brooks/Plus ONE will be an unforgettable live entertainment experience for our guests, and we are honored that he's chosen to join the Caesars Entertainment family."

Brooks, who is the best-selling solo artist in U.S. history, ended his stadium tour in September in Ireland. The tour was seen by nearly 3 million people, and drew an average of more than 95,000 people in each city.

Registration for Ticketmaster Verified Fan is open now, and fans can sign up until Thursday at 8 p.m. PT. The Verified sale will begin on Monday at 10 a.m. PT for registered fans. There will also be a Citi Presale for Citi cardholders that'll also begin on Monday.

When Garth Brooks was in the middle of his massive stadium tour, he was already making plans for his next big project.

Last summer, before his first of two shows at Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium , the country superstar told reporters that after three decades of touring, these moments of playing for a crowd have become “more and more precious” as he’s gotten older.

He made it pretty clear that he didn’t want to stop anytime soon.

“We’re just going to play as long as they’ll let us play,” Brooks said, noting that future appearances could come in the form of a dive bar tour, fair tour or arena tour. ”I’m not ready to give that up.” 

Brooks has now revealed his next adventure: a Las Vegas residency.

On Nov. 14, Brooks announced a 2023 Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum, featuring his new show Garth Brooks/Plus ONE. Compared to his recent stadium tour, it’ll be a substantially more intimate show — The Colosseum seats a little over 4,000.

“Garth Brooks/Plus ONE will give fans the opportunity to see Garth up close and personal on The Colosseum stage,” according to a news release . “No two shows will be the same, with varying band members and the occasional special guest, fans are promised a once in a lifetime performance each and every night.”

“Any given song, all 10 band members will be playing and singing, then none of them will be,” Brooks told Billboard . “Then maybe percussion and background vocals for ‘The River.’ Or (I’m) talking about George Strait and ‘Amarillo by Morning’ and all of a sudden (Jimmy) Mattingly shows up with the fiddle and it’s just (me) and him. Any given night can have any given variation of any given song.

“The Plus ONE is also the fan,” Brooks added. “Because it’s one on one with them.” 

Brooks showed his ability to change things up night after night during his stadium tour. Even in a sold-out stadium, he takes requests from fans and performs songs on the spot. When he had two shows in Salt Lake City, he altered his set list to make sure each was different for fans who may have attended both.

“Stadium tours are generally well-oiled machines to the point that artists don’t often change things up too much,” I previously wrote for the Deseret News . “But Brooks likes to deviate, and no show is the same.

Garth Brooks/Plus ONE will mark Brooks’ second Las Vegas residency, according to Yahoo! Entertainment . The singer previously held a five-year residency at Wynn’s Encore Theater that concluded in 2014.

How to get tickets for Garth Brooks’ Las Vegas residency

Brooks will perform 27 shows from May through December 2023.

Like Taylor Swift , the singer has partnered with Ticketmaster Verified Fan for these shows. Registration is open until Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. MST, according to the news release .

The Verified Fan sale begins Monday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. MST for registered fans.

“Only fans that have received a unique code will have the chance to purchase tickets for performances on a first come, first served basis,” per the news release . That code will be sent out on the evening of Nov. 20.

The hitmaker will take the stage with different band members and even some special guests throughout the upcoming residency.

"We're calling it the 'Plus ONE' because we're going to try something we’ve never tried before," he said about the residency while appearing on "GMA."

"The band is coming but It's the one-man show," he continued. "They're going to sit in the audience, so any time you want a fiddle just to come up and join you, any time you just want percussion and background to come up and sing or it's just you -- or just bring the whole band up to do ‘Friends in Low Places’ -- this should be stupid."

The news of the singer’s return to Vegas comes after he finished his three-and-a-half-year-long worldwide Stadium Tour in September.

Brooks partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program so that fans can register for presale tickets now through Thursday at 8 a.m. PT. Once registered fans receive a code, they will have exclusive access to purchase tickets on Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. PT.

Seven-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Award winner, Garth Brooks , has announced a brand new Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The country superstar will kick off his Garth Brooks/Plus ONE shows in May 2023, with each set being billed as a stripped-back, intimate occasion.

Due to colossal demand, Garth has announced that his Vegas residency will be extending through 2024.

Garth expressed his gratitude at how quickly the tickets had flown off the virtual shelves, ”My whole life I have heard the saying, ‘Rome wasn't built in a day.’ Well, thanks to God and the people, ours was. Truly grateful and unapologetically excited”.

The new dates were confirmed in May 2023, with shows lined up in April, May, June and July 2024.

The news of the residency follows Brooks' three and a half year Stadium Tour, which was enjoyed by almost three million fans across the world.

The tour ended on a high with five historic sold-out shows in Croke Park, Dublin.

Brooks is still the No.1 selling solo artist in US history, with 157 million album sales to his name.

Regardless of whether he is playing a one-man-show or a full-band arena set, Brooks has a wealth of hits he can draw on , such as the iconic ‘Friends in Low Places’, ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ and the ‘The Dance’.

The new series of shows will build on Brooks' previous Las Vegas residency, which ran from 2009 to 2013 at the Encore Theater.

To commemorate the initial announcement, Brooks also unveiled a Garth Brooks LIVE LIVE CD boxset, which features over fifty live recordings from Brooks' shows over the years.

The boxset will also include a custom book, as well as the final release of his Double Live album.

For those wanting to purchase tickets to Garth Brooks’ 2024 dates, the Citi Presale opens on Tuesday, May 30, while the general Onsale begins the following day, on Wednesday, May 31.

Country star Garth Brooks is continuing his Las Vegas residency with an extension this fall, and tickets are already on sale to see the remainder of his 2024 tour. While passes to attend his concerts are going fast, there are a few avenues for how to buy Garth Brooks tickets for his upcoming 2024 Las Vegas residency shows.

Brooks' Las Vegas residency, also known as Garth Brooks/Plus ONE, began in May 2023. High demand for the concert series led to an extension of the tour's second leg. In June 2024, Brooks added 18 more shows to his residency, extending it through December 22. After a brief hiatus, Brooks returns to The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for his next 18 performances starting September 26, 2024.

While the "Friends in Low Places" singer is largely booked for his Las Vegas shows throughout the rest of 2024, he's also set to appear this year at the ACL Hall of Fame Induction in his honor in Austin. Brooks returns to the stage at the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on September 5 before launching the next phase of his Las Vegas residency. The singer will be back at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace beginning on September 26, with the final bow of his Las Vegas concert residency scheduled for December 22, 2024.

Country music superstar has announced the final dates for his Las Vegas residency that started almost two years ago.

“Garth Brooks/Plus One” will end with shows from Feb. 21 to March 9, 2025, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The residency started in May 2023 and was extended into 2024.

The final shows in 2025 will be:

One of the best-selling music artists in history, Brooks has 23 Academy of Country Music Awards, 17 American Music Awards, 19 Billboard Music Awards, two Grammy Awards and dozens of other awards.

His many hits have included “Friends in Low Places,” “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” “Shameless,” " The Dance,” “The Thunder Rolls,” “Calling Baton Rouge,” “Ain’t Going Down (’Til the Sun Comes Up),” “Papa Loved Mama” and “Unanswered Prayers.”

Garth Brooks Adds Final Three Weekends to Las Vegas Residency

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Thursday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. PT.

After selling out all of his performances since opening in May of 2023,  Garth Brooks  has announced the final three weekends of his Las Vegas residency,  Garth Brooks /Plus ONE, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The final shows will take place from February 21 through March 9, 2025.

"I can't believe it has come and gone, already. The Caesars gig has been my favorite so far. No setlist, no rules, just the music and the listener come first. I LOVE that! These last shows are going to be hard for me, emotionally, because I can't stand the thought of this residency being over,” said Garth Brooks .

Garth Brooks /Plus ONE gives fans the opportunity to see Garth up close and personal on The Colosseum stage. No two shows will be the same. With varying instrumentation--whether it be one fiddle, percussion and background vocals, or the whole band--and the occasional special guest, Garth and his audience will share a once-in-a-lifetime experience each and every night. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Thursday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. PT  HERE .

Citi is the official card of  Garth Brooks /Plus ONE at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Monday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. PT until Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. PT through the Citi Entertainment program. Oklahoma native Garth Brooks announces end to Vegas residency

Country music titan and Oklahoma native Garth Brooks announces the final shows of his sold-out Garth Brooks/Plus One Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at the Caesars Palace, and he's legitimately going to miss it.

His spirited shows , packed with barnburners (“Callin' Baton Rouge,” “Papa Loved Mama”), tearjerkers (“Unanswered Prayers,” “The Dance”), covers of Billy Joel, George Strait, Wynonna Judd and Bob Seger and frequent appearances from fellow superstar  wife Trisha Yearwood , will end in March.

Brooks' last batch of dates are Feb. 21-23 and 28 and March 1-2 and 7-9.

“If there was a guy who said I’ll do this the rest of my life, it would be me,” Brooks told USA TODAY.

Citi cardmembers will have access to a presale starting at 1 p.m. on Sept. 16. Those who have previously purchased tickets to Brooks’ residency will be able to buy tickets at 1 p.m. EDT on Sept. 17, while Caesars Rewards members and Live Nation customers are granted access at 1 p.m. EDT Sept. 18.

Brooks, 62, also recently announced an end to  Inside Studio G , the weekly online series he’s hosted since 2016 as a direct fan interaction, later this year.

“It’s time to figure out what’s next,” Brooks says. “We just launched  the Garth Channel  (on digital platform TuneIn) again, so we’re gonna funnel our stuff there.”

When asked what he'll do performing-wise after the residency ends, Brooks responded that he'll be the "plus one" for wife Trisha Yearwood.

"My wife is sweet enough to be there for me every time I need her," he told USA Today. "I need to return that and we need to hear her more than two songs a night. I told her I’d front her. I’ll stay backstage and  do whatever she needs ."
