Cory was an amazing host and we had an outstanding time at Versailles! The biking in the area mixed with a great history lesson was fantastic.

A fun way to go around the main tourist area of Paris and get a glimpse of the sights. As I go around Europe for work a lot, I am always looking for somethink to do different on down time, an easy bicycle ride on a beautiful day was a great think to do. I don't recommend this currently with all of the Olympic venues up. The roads are too congested and you can't get to some areas because of the street closures.

We did the Paris Bike Tour and it was the highlight of our trip!! Aaron was so wonderful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Great experience / nice way to see the sites while staying active. Tour hit all key parts of Paris we wanted to see which include a boat ride, gelato, and a route that got us moving a good distance around town. Andrea was our guide.

We had a wonderful guide with Rory, who made our day while we enjoyed the lavish Versailles palace and gardens! He went the extra mile to make sure we had an opportunity to see the Olympic torch as well. Such great memories with my family and another epic trip and tour with Fat Tire!

My 15 year old son and I took the Versailles bike tour today with Cory. she did a great job making the day fun, informative and interesting. Yes, the main palace and grounds of Versailles are stunning and impressive, but we also really enjoyed cruising on the bicycles around the other parts of the town and property. She took us to an open air market where we picked up food for a picnic, and we ate a picnic on the canal with beautiful views. The other people on the tour were fun to talk to, and it was a very pleasant day. It was nice to have pointers from an expert plus some good stories and then at the end we toured the main Versailles Palace on our own. but taking a bicycle, we got to see so much more than if we have been walking. thanks, Cory!

If there's one touristy thing I'd recommend to do in Paris, it would be this bike tour! Even if you don't do the tour, biking around the City of Love & Lights is such an experience. We came a bit early since we had a lot of time to kill and the staff was nice enough to check us in early and let us use their restroom. Since we had an hour before the start of our tour time, they gave us a recommendation for a light snack and coffee just a 5 minute walk away. Coming back, we were able to get our bikes and test each of them out before setting off on our bike tour! Our tour guide was Chaitya (Chai for short!) and he was AMAZING. So unbelievably knowledgeable and charismatic. He is a student studying acting (I believe?) but you'd think he was studying history with the amount of stories and knowledge he had about Paris and it's rich history. Before setting off, he made sure we all knew his signals while navigating the Paris streets and while we were on the tour, he always made sure nobody was left behind the entire time. Biking around the city might be intimidating but with the amount of bikers and pedestrians in Paris, it wasn't too scary. Something about seeing the city on bike is magical, especially during Fall with the crisp air & sunny skies. We made several stops, learned and even got to take some photos in scenic areas along the way. I believe our tour was about 2 hours and it flew by. So grateful we had beautiful weather on the day we booked this tour!

ThIs Tours was one of the highlights of our trip. What a fabulous three hours. We saw all the sides by bike and picture. Perfect weather. Absolutely loved our guide Amir. He was incredible so sweet and the Best photographer. I highly recommend this to her and will be doing it every time I visit Paris.

We selected the longer tour with lunch. First off, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone we interacted with spoke excellent English. The bikes were well maintained and were selected based on height. After a quick test ride we left with two other groups for a total of 12 people with our guide. Our guide was an American student on an internship who was very affable and attentive to everyone and their safety. He had only been in Paris a few months. This was a little disappointing for my wife who had hoped for more local color and knowledge, but it did not detract substantially from the experience. The ride was quite easy with numerous stops for lights or sights and so it was not physically demanding for an early 50s couple and their not so active 14 year old. In fact, it was the highlight of the trip for our youngster. We liked it so much we tried to sign up for the night ride, but they were booked and it was our last day. We definitely recommend it just for another way of experiencing the city in a relaxed way.

Get up early on the biggest cycling day of the year and join our Paris Bike Tour on the final day of the Tour de France!  Ride the nearly empty streets as our guides lead you along the famous cobblestone roads of the last leg of the 3-week trek. See the same sites as the professional riders as they speed around the middle of Paris, just a few hours after you!

We will begin bright and early at our office, 24 rue Edgar Faure, 75015, and head directly to the Tour de France route. Getting an early start grants us access to streets that will be too busy to navigate later on when the event is in full swing. Allow our guides to navigate through the streets as the city is waking up, with hints of pastries and coffee beginning to linger in the air. We’ll make our way to the final stretch of the biggest and most celebrated cyclist event in history. Ride over the same cobblestones as the cycling world champions, and imagine yourself wearing the yellow jersey! Feel the excitement as crowds start to line the streets in anticipation of an 8-lap finalé just a few hours away.  They will be cheering for you as you cruise up and down this beautiful avenue, flanked by French flags and a buzz in the air.

You’ll have an opportunity to ride around the usually hectic round-about circling the Arc de Triomphe at the top of the Champs Elysées. Stop for a quick glass of bubbly at the apex of the course, and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Triumphal Way which connects much of the right bank of Paris into a stunningly symmetric landscape.  Continue through the sleepy streets as the sun rises, and make your way back towards our office for our own grand finalé: coffee & croissants in front of the Eiffel Tower. Our staff will be there to be your personal photographers and capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment. We’re happy to provide you with a few optional itineraries for the rest of your day and clue you in about the best viewing spots for later in the evening.

Questions about our bikes/biking in paris, what cycling skill level do i need for this tour.

While all of our tours maintain a leisurely pace, we want our guests to have fun and be safe, so being able to ride a bike is paramount.

This tour is perfect for intermediate bike riders. You should have good balance, be able to start and stop comfortably, and be familiar with hand brakes. Most of this tour is on roads and although we stick together as a group and carve out a lane for ourselves, we ask that all guests feel confident with their riding ability. Safety is our number one priority but confidence in yourself is the first step to overall group safety.

If you’re not sure how you’ll fare, we invite you to try out some of our other tours first.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

Yes! This tour is a wonderful way for kids to discover Paris. You can use this bike chart  to help you reserve the appropriate bicycles for your little ones – you can reserve kids’ equipment during the booking process. Please keep in mind that children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.

• For children up to 10 years old or weighing under 32kg (70lbs), we have two-wheeled tag-along tandems. The child passenger sits on a seat and can pedal or coast. All riders weighing over 32kg (70lbs) must ride their own bicycle. This is not an option for adults or anyone over the weight or age limit.
• We have various sized city bikes to accommodate just about every size of rider, from extra small 20 inch wheeled bikes for riders that are 3.3ft (100cm) to extra large for riders up to 6.5ft (198cm).
• There is no additional charge for trailers, tandems or baby seats. Due to limited availability, please book baby seats, trailers, tandems, 20” and 24” wheeled bikes in advance.
• Please Note: All extra small 20 inch and small 24 inch bikes are equipped with hand brakes.
• Our city tours are very casual, with only slight elevation changes on varying surfaces including smooth gravel and pavement. It is necessary, however, that any person participating in our bike tours have at least some bike riding experience, and should be comfortable riding in a group.

Is a helmet included?

In France, adults are not obliged to wear a helmet, however they are mandatory for children under 12. We have helmets of all sizes available in our office, free of charge.

What are your bike options?

Unfortunately, we do not have adult tricycles, adult tandems, or bikes with training wheels for adults or children that may be less confident in their riding ability

Where is the tour meeting point.

Your tour meets directly at our office, located at  24 rue Edgar Faure, 75015 . Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

Is there a stop for food?

We do stop at the end of the tour in the Champ de Mars for coffee, orange juice and croissants to celebrate this occasion in Paris!

Can we buy water at your office?

Yes! We have cold water in our office, and all of our bikes come equipped with luggage racks so that you can take it with you on tour.

Is this tour offered in any other languages, or only English?

All scheduled tours are in English, but  private tours  can sometimes be scheduled in other languages, given we have a tour guide who speaks the language of your choice.

Can I leave the tour early?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate special requests like this on our public tours.  Once the tour begins we ask that you stay with the guide and the group until the end.  If you’re interested in something shorter, please inquire about a private tour.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation  at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure  may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.
