Choose to take a stroll with your guide through the beautiful Royal St James’s Park, with a fascinating array of birds and its pretty lake past the residence of Prince Charles and St James’s Palace, built for King Henry VIII to the Horse Guards Parade, where you can view the Household Cavalry guarding the entrance to the Palace precincts.

Continue your panoramic, viewing Downing Street, the home of our Prime Ministers, since the very first! See the incredible architecture of Westminster Palace, better known as the Houses of Parliament and the clock Tower affectionately known as Big Ben, but what really is Big Ben? 

On to the splendid Westminster Abbey - every coronation since 1066 has taken place on a church on this spot, the current church dating back to the 13th century. Learn which monarchs were never crowned and why! There are over 3000 burials within and the church is packed to the rafters with exciting stories and some very surprising ones too! (You may choose to skip those long lines and visit inside the Abbey with your British Tours guide. Entrance fees apply).

Then take in some views of the river Thames and the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel, the London Eye, as you head to the absolute centre of London, Trafalgar Square, dominated by a statue of Lord Admiral Nelson, the victor of the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Venture further west, to view the world’s most famous department store Harrods; Kensington Palace, the birthplace of Queen Victoria and now home to William and Kate; the incredible memorial commissioned by Queen Victoria for her beloved husband and the wonderful museums and the largest of London’s Royal Parks, Hyde Park.

On to the heart of London’s buzzing West End, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, China Town, Soho and Covent Garden. Covent Garden makes an excellent lunch stop, providing a wide variety of small historic cafes and the more fancy restaurants. (Lunch not included).

The afternoon takes you to the oldest part of London, the City, with the magnificent masterpiece St Paul’s Cathedral, built after the Great Fire of London and one of the most stunning buildings in the world. This awe-inspiring monument can also be visited with your British Tours guide and if you are feeling energetic, you can climb the 376 steps of the Dome for unparalleled views across the City’s skyline.

Hire a red vintage London bus for a customized sightseeing or shopping tour of London. We can arrange London sightseeing tours for any number of people The maximum number of passengers we can accommodate on board each closed top Routemaster is 72 with 40 on top deck. The bus will be exclusively for your use, so you will be able to leave your purchases on board while you hop off and explore – there will always be at least one of our staff on the bus at any time.

We can help you design an itinerary, a detailed plan of your journey that will include a list of places to visit; plan of travel and so on…If you are not familiar with London, we can suggest our own tour. The tour can last as long as you like, from an hour to a whole day. It certainly beats the big tour bus companies for the personal touch and is competitively priced for visiting groups.

Depending on the time of year we will quote for either a covered or open top vehicle. Given the great British weather, we might swap an open top for a closed bus to ensure that you keep dry, but only in agreement with the hirer.

At Buckingham Palace, we will stop to watch a ceremony that is the epitome of the pomp and pageantry for which Britain is famous for around the world. Elite soldiers from the British military, also known as the Household Division, have been dutifully guarding the monarch since 1660. During the ceremony, immaculately turned out guards from the New Guard arrive to assume responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace. Accompanied by a regimental marching band, the soldiers of the Household Division are instantly recognisable in their bearskin caps and scarlet tunics.

After a break for lunch your tour continues. With its origins in the fortified Roman settlement of Londonium, the City of London is the ceremonial and historic centre of the capital as well as the financial centre housing both the Stock Exchange and The Bank of England.

Your afternoon tour takes you on a wonderful eclectic journey through the historic and the modern highlighting London’s diversity and rich culture.

The first stop on our tour is an iconic symbol of London. Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece took 35 years to build and today is one of the largest churches in the world. Incredibly, this towering domed cathedral was also the tallest building in London until the 1960s. Its construction between 1675-1710 was part of a rebuilding programme after the original cathedral located here was swept away in the Great Fire of London in 1666: With no fewer than seven chapels, countless statues and priceless art, as well as Europe's largest crypt, there are historical and religious treasures around every corner at St Paul's. Explore the history of the cathedral with your expert Guide who will bring its fascinating events to life.

Explore almost 1,000 years of history that began with the construction of a fortress and royal residence by William The Conqueror. The long history of 'The Tower' is one of imprisonment, murder and execution. The last person executed here was in 1941, and over the years spies, criminals and even queens have met their bloody end by the executioner's hand at the tower. The Tower of London is also home to the priceless Crown Jewels Collection. This glittering display of gems and gold includes the Star of Africa, the world's largest cut diamond, as well as a collection of crowns, robes, and other items of ceremonial regalia. It would be improper to fail to mention the tower ravens. Legend has it that at least half a dozen must stay within the bounds of the tower or the monarchy will fall.

Ordinary hop-on-hop-off bus tickets are entitled to group savings. Attractions, pass items and combo tickets aren't.

Due the nature of this type of tour and varying demand, group travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that the group will be able to travel altogether as the available seats vary from stop to stop and depends on demand each day. The group may need to split up and/or wait for the next bus(s).

As, we cannot guarantee that the group shall be able to travel together as one group, therefore we will reduce the group size down to 4-5 smaller groups per ticket (depending upon group size).
