My wife and I got back from a tour…

My wife and I got back from a tour recently and we're helped along the way by the call center. Unlike a lot of the people on our trip, we weren't in a group, but the tour operators and the call center were just as professional and helpful with us as they were with their bigger ticket passengers. We will be using Mayflower from now on

Mayflower Does not Want Travelers to Post Reviews

This company (Mayflower Cruises and Tours) will not allow past travelers to post evaluations of their tours on their web site. Obviously, they don't want the truth to come out. Ken NEW INPUT: It's interesting that Mayflower responded in such a negative manner. I am a long time customer and did take take a trip (Confirmation # 656972). By saying they don't recognize me is further proof of the issue. Ken New Input - I contacted Mayflower today (May 1, 2024, 1730 EDT and was told someone would get back to me. I await their response. Thank you for verifying your trip with the confirmation number. The reason you were unrecognized is that it was booked in the name of "S" Barbi. At this time we have not heard any of your concerns and notice that the two of you are booked on future trips as well. Before wanting a public discourse, would it be possible to contact us directly. As you will understand, posting or public reviews is not standard practice on any tour company site as it opens the door to public defamation and offers no manner of actual resolution. If there was a problem with the tour, then we encourage you to reach out by direct method and address the concerns. The website has a contact form and provides multiple contact options for getting a response. Moreover, your travel agent would be the first and primary contact for any issue. Hopefully you have reached out to them.

My trip was the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Oct 2023. The balloon fiesta was fabulous. Mike the driver was awesome. Our tour manager Jolie started out great, however, as the days passed she encourage travelers to go off on their own which changed the touring times for everyone else. The last day was a disaster, one lady was left behind because Jolie didn't do a head count. More stops were added so other people could leave the tour and go places on their own. Amazing company. My family took a trip with them to the Grand Canyon. It was the experience of a lifetime  

I will never use Mayflower again. They are refusing to refund my travel insurance money of $400 after the trip was cancelled. Be careful when dealing with this company!  

I loved taking Mayflower Tours. However, I had to back out of a recent tour. The company told my travel partner (who paid in full from the beginning) that she would have to pay $600 more for a single room because I was not going with her. I called and talked to Tina Patel who refused to budge on this. I told her she was in jeopardy of losing a lot of future business and she told me she would take that chance. Well, she lost mine!  

We had booked a Scandinavian tours with Vacations by Rail and ended up on Mayflower Tours. We were so disappointed in our experience. First we had planned rail tours and there was only one short trail ride the seven days of the tour, The first day of our tour we boarded a bus to take us on a tour of Stockholm. Unfortunately there was no microphone so therefore no guided tour. The second day we paid $180 a person for a river cruise of Stockholm and a visit to the Vasa Museum which amounted to being on our own there for...   read more

Went on the tour of Greece with stays in Santorini and Mykonos. Santorini hotel was terrible with moldy bathroom, no ceiling light in bathroom and no WiFi. Grand Circle and Gate 1 trips are far superior.

Day 4: The town of Deadwood was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1967 and preserves the history and legends of the Wild West from its beginnings as a mining town. Your tour begins with the awesome 1,200-foot-deep Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, including views from Inspiration and Lookout Points. Next, travel through Dunraven Pass and Tower Junction to the terraced formations of Mammoth Hot Springs.
