How to get to there

The Etihad Stadium is in east Manchester. Take the Metrolink tram blue line or orange line (Ashton-under-Lyne) to ‘Etihad Campus’ station or a taxi is 10 minutes from Piccadilly.

Please try to avoid bringing any baggage to the Etihad Stadium. All baggage will be searched before gaining entry to the Stadium. Suitcases and cabin bags will be searched and stored in a secure location.

At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Etihad Campus and start our tour of the Manchester City Stadium.

The first 1 hour 10 minutes of our visit will be spent taking a tour accompanied by an official stadium guide . One of the places we'll visit will be the press room where Pep Guardiola talks to the media. This tour, which is one of the best immersive experiences in the Premier League, also includes a visit to the warm-up area , the tunnel leading to the pitch and the home team's changing room , where a unique audiovisual montage awaits.

In addition, we'll get to watch the main achievements in the history of Manchester City FC  on a 360-degree screen . We'll see the team's proudest moments on a huge scale as if we're in a cinema. This modern device will also show us the incredible goals scored by  Sergio Agüero, David Silva, Raheem Sterling, Yaya Touré and some of the other legends who've worn the Manchester City FC shirt.

After the guided tour of the stadium, you'll take a 20-minute self-guided visit so you can explore the different exhibitions in the stadium.

Noel Gallagher Didn’t Hesitate To Co-Create Manchester City’s New Oasis-Inspired Kit: ‘I Took About Five Seconds To Agree To It’

Hope was faint that Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher would ever collaborative again, but Oasis recently announced a 2025 reunion tour , and they might be recording a new album .

Somehow, Noel Gallagher one-upped that with an even unlikelier collaborator.

On Thursday, September 12, Manchester City and PUMA unveiled “ Definitely City ” kits co-created by Gallagher as a nod toward Oasis’ Definitely Maybe album , which turned 30 on August 29.

The European football giant posted Gallagher unboxing the kit , and he explains that the colorway is an “homage to the album cover.” “Definitely City” is stitched on the back of the kit in Gallagher’s handwriting. Man City’s Pep Guardiola, Kyle Walker, Ederson Moraes, Mateo Kovacic, and Jess Park also recreated the Definitely Maybe album cover photo .

“It’s a proper honour,” Gallagher, a lifelong City fan , told Manchester City’s City Studios . “When the guys from PUMA approached us at one of the games, I took about five seconds to agree to it. It’s the same color palette as the cover of Definitely Maybe . I think it’s unique, but it’s definitely striking, and I think it looks great.”

Gallagher continued, “When you see people represent your Club, it’s important that they look good. Definitely Maybe has never lost its magic to me. I just think it’s an amazing snapshot of what we were about. With the anniversary, I’ve been listening to it a lot more than I would ever listen to it. You know, it makes me smile. They were great times. Really, really great. I mean, it’s spawned a great football kit. So its legacy lives on.”

The club will wear the “Definitely City” kit exclusively for select European fixtures during the 2024-25 season.

The “Definitely City” collection (featuring a track jacket and pants, overshirt, bomber jacket, tee shirt, polo, retro jersey, and drill top) is available for purchase here . The collection will also be sold at City Stores at Etihad Stadium, Arndale Centre, and Rockefeller Center NYC.

Major Erling Haaland contract update: Fabrizio Romano reveals release clause truth at Manchester City

Manchester City and Erling Haaland are likely to include a release clause in any new contractual agreement at the Etihad Stadium, Fabrizio Romano has reported.

The Premier League champions remain intent on securing the longer-term services of the Norway international following a stellar first two seasons at the club, and a blockbuster start to a brand new campaign.

Having already claimed a first piece of silverware this season via an FA Community Shield win over Manchester United , off the back of a strong pre-season tour of the United States, Haaland has been in firing form in front of goal in the opening three Premier League fixtures.

With seven goals in his first three matches, including back-to-back hat-tricks, the 24-year-old’s form has inspired Manchester City to a run of three successive victories to defend another English top-flight crown in strong style.

But where exactly are the ongoing negotiations involving Erling Haaland, his representatives, and relevant officials at Manchester City?

Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside in a new update on the situation, Fabrizio Romano has provided a comprehensive update on the situation surrounding Erling Haaland and a new Manchester City contract, revealing the latest regarding ongoing talks between both parties.

“There have been talks already for months between Erling Haaland and Manchester City over a new deal. So this is the priority for City,” Romano revealed. “It’s also an open negotiation with Haaland, who is very happy at the club.”

“So they’ve been discussing now for months, almost six, seven months, discussing a new deal for Erling Haaland. So there is an active conversation and I think there is a good possibility, a good opportunity for them to reach an agreement.”

Fabrizio Romano continued by discussing the subject of a release clause in a new agreement by explaining, “I’m not sure it’s going to be a specific clause for a club, we always had this rumour, but Erling Haaland always had clauses in his contract since Borussia Dortmund .

“At Manchester City, there are release clauses in the contract of Erling Haaland, but it’s not for a specific club. There will be, I think, a clause for his potential exit, but not only for Real Madrid .”

Romano closed, “It will be an open clause and we will see the terms of this potential new deal. At the moment, the agreement is not reached yet, but there is a very good, positive conversation between the parties.”

Erling Haaland and Manchester City will be breathing a sigh of relief this week, with the understanding being that the striker has emerged from the international break with Norway across the last two weeks injury-free.

That comes after Premier League title rivals Arsenal saw their club captain and Haaland’s international teammate Martin Odegaard return to the North London club on crutches with a mammoth stretch of games on the horizon, including a trip to Manchester City.

It’s been five years since Kylie Minogue last performed in Manchester, but fans are ‘convinced’ the Australian superstar is set to announce a UK tour very soon.

Whilst the singer last performed here at Castlefield Bowl in July 2019 as part of the Sounds of the City festival, it’s been ten years since Kylie has done a proper UK tour - when she performed at arenas in 2014 and 2015 - and fans are longing for her to return in big style.

Since her last full-out tour, she has wowed crowds with special one-off shows, like at London's Hyde Park this summer, and a Las Vegas residency, as well as a string of albums and songs, including mammoth hit Padam Padam last year. She also made a surprise appearance in Stock Aitken and Waterman musical I Should Be So Lucky when it premiered in Manchester last November.

But rumours are now circulating amongst fan communities that Kylie, who has been behind hits like Can't Get You Out Of My Head, The Loco-Motion and Kids, is set to announce details of a full UK tour, alongside dates in Australia and US, for next year later this month.

Earlier this month, American publication Newsnation reported that the singer has signed up with ticket promoter AEG for 15 North American dates, which would supposedly begin in March 2025.

It has also been heavily speculated that Australian stadium tours for February next year are also due to be announced and would kick off a so-called World Tour.

A source told The Sun earlier this week that a ‘massive European leg’ would go ‘far beyond a couple of nights in major cities like Manchester and London’. One fan account has even gone as far to suggest a date has already been lined up in Manchester for August 2025.

The source told the outlet: “Kylie will play a raft of major shows across the UK next year because she wants to play to as many of her fans as possible.”

It is also believed that the singer, who recently unveiled a collaboration with house producer The Blessed Madonna, is also set to release new music soon, which would follow up her 16th album Tension, which went to number one last September.

Whilst nothing has yet to be officially confirmed, including whether the potential tour will consist of arena or stadium shows, the speculation has been enough for fans longing to see Kylie live to get excited.

Posting on X, one fan wrote: “Please be stadium shows for the UK.” Another said: “This is beyond long overdue this better happen, better than any new album as tension and disco deserve a proper arena tour.”

Another posted: “Oh my god looks like its happening!!!” Another simply said: “I am once again asking for a kylie minogue uk tour x”

Officials say suspects in foiled plot at Taylor Swift shows hoped to kill as many people as possible

Both suspects in a foiled plot to  attack Taylor Swift shows  in Vienna appeared to be inspired by the Islamic State group and al-Qaida, Austrian authorities said Thursday, and investigators found bomb-making materials at one of their homes. Officials said one of the two confessed to planning to “kill as many people as possible outside the concert venue.”

Three sold-out concerts were canceled a day earlier because of the plot, devastating Swifties from across the globe, many of whom had dropped thousands of euros (dollars) on travel and lodging in Austria’s expensive capital city to attend the Eras Tour shows at the Ernst Happel Stadium, which sat empty Thursday morning aside from media filming outside.

Concert organizers said they stood behind their decision to cancel all three events, saying they expected up to 65,000 fans inside the stadium at each concert and as many as 30,000 onlookers outside. The foiled attack was planned for Thursday or Friday, according to Austria’s interior minister, Gerhard Karner.

Officials told reporters that the 19-year-old Austrian suspect began working on his attack plans in July, and just a few weeks ago uploaded to the internet an oath of allegiance to the current leader of the Islamic State group militia. He planned to use knives or homemade explosives to carry out the attack outside the stadium.

He was “clearly radicalized in the direction of the Islamic State and thinks it is right to kill infidels,” said Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, the head of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence.

During a raid of his home in Ternitz, south of Vienna, investigators found chemical substances and technical devices that indicated “concrete preparatory acts,” said Franz Ruf, Director General for Public Security at the Ministry of the Interior.

Authorities also found Islamic State group and al-Qaida material at the home of the second suspect, a 17-year-old Austrian. He was employed a few days ago by a company providing services at the venue for the concerts, and was arrested by special police forces near the stadium.

The suspects’ names were not released in line with Austrian privacy rules.

No other suspects are being sought, Karner, the interior minister, said. However, a 15-year-old, who had been in contact with both suspects, was also interrogated by police.

“The situation was serious, the situation is serious. But we can also say: A tragedy was prevented,” he said.

Concert organizers, Barracuda Music, said in an Instagram post late Wednesday that “we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”

It cited government officials’ confirmation of a planned attack at the stadium. Security officials and the organizers of the concerts, Barracuda Music, were in close contact about whether to cancel the shows, but in the end it was the organizer who made the call.

Europe is enamored with the American superstar, with the German town of Gelsenkirchen renaming itself  “Swiftkirchen”  before its mid-July concerts.

Austria’s Vice-Chancellor Werner Kogler wrote on social platform X: “For many, a dream has been shattered today. On three evenings in Vienna, tens of thousands of #Swifties should have celebrated life together.”

“I am very sorry that you were denied this. Swifties stick together, hate and terror can’t destroy that,” Kogler added.

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer posted on X that “the cancellation of the Taylor Swift concerts by the organizers is a bitter disappointment for all fans in Austria.”

“The situation surrounding the apparently planned terror attack in Vienna was very serious,” he wrote. But he added that, thanks to intensive cooperation between police and Austrian and foreign intelligence, “the threat could be recognized early on, tackled and a tragedy prevented.”

Barracuda Music said that “all tickets will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days.” The same wording was posted under the Vienna dates on Swift's  official website .

The Vienna stadium had been sold out for the planned concerts, APA reported, with an estimated 170,000 fans expected for the concerts in Austria. Some who posted on X lamented months of now-wasted efforts to make friendship bracelets and pick out fashionable outfits for the performance.

Swift  is expected to perform at London’s Wembley stadium in five concerts between Aug. 15 and 20 to close the European leg of her record-setting Eras Tour.

In 2017, an  attack at an Ariana Grande concert  in Manchester, England, killed 22 people. Suicide bomber Salman Abedi set up  a knapsack bomb  in Manchester Arena at the end of Grande’s concert as thousands of young fans were leaving. More than 100 people were injured. Abedi died in the explosion.

An official  inquiry reported in 2023  that Britain’s domestic intelligence agency, MI5, didn’t act swiftly enough on key information and missed a significant opportunity to prevent the bombing, the deadliest extremist attack in the United Kingdom in recent years.
