Country Carriages takes guests on horse-drawn carriage tours of downtown St. Augustine. Country Carriages is between the Bridge of Lions and the Castillo De San Marcos on the bayfront. The special tour company offers traditional, Cinderella, and sleigh carriages.
Experienced tour guides narrate St. Augustine's rich history, covering 450+ years from when the Spanish founded the city in 1565 through the colonial period, the Gilded Age, and the modern era. The tour covers two miles and takes approximately 45 minutes.
Country Carriages also offers wedding rides, where a decorated carriage takes newlyweds, and even the wedding party, on 30-minute or one-hour rides.
During Nights of Lights , Country Carriages takes one to four guests on 30-minute rides through the city on an elaborately decorated private sleigh.
In addition to tours and weddings , Country Carriages is available for parades, proposals, and photo shoots.
